Application Manager Download

Everytime I try to launch my trial of Adobe Illustrator I am told I need a copy of Application Manager which I already have. I have since deleted that copy and dowloaded the latest with no effect. Can anyone help?

It is under the Download Center tab:

  • Re: Adobe Application Manager download

    Hi,
I have recently subscribed to this creative cloud and have been trying to download some of the applications.  However, I get as far as the Application Manager download and it gets nearly half way through according to the download bar and then tells me that there is a problem with the remote server responding in the proper manner, I have tried several times, at different times of the day since I subscribed last Friday.
    Does anybody have any ideas?
    Ta.

    Hi Ta,
Did you ever get it fixed? Might test in a different browser?
Are you on Windows or Mac? What browser are you using?

  • Application Manager download link is down

Hi Adobe folks, the Application Manager download link is down.
It's trying to pull it from:
    http://ffc-crawler.oobesaas.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/EDGE/0_11/osx10/AAMmetadataLS17/AdobeA pplicationManager.dmg
    The browser says:
Oops! Google Chrome could not find ffc-crawler.oobesaas.adobe.com

@AdamsonB - Glad to hear the workaround worked.
A fix is in progress, but it is on the server side so clearing your local cache will not fix it. When fixed the urls on the Creative Cloud Apps page https://creative.adobe.com should start with http://ccmdl.adobe.com instead of https://ffc-crawler.oobesaas.adobe.com. This is only if you do not have the Adobe Application Manager already installed in which case you should see links like aam://SAPCode=PHSP.

  • Adobe Application Manager Download Error (and other problems)

Last week I purchased a Creative Cloud membership (Student and Teacher Edition, if that matters at  all).  When I tried to download applications, the Adobe Application Manager seemed to be unable to connect and instead displayed "Download Error. Press Retry to try again or contact customer support."  I read some of the responses to this problem on the forums, and after trying several things, I got it to work (I'm honestly not sure what I did that caused it to work).  However, it is now failing to work again and I can't seem to fix it this time.  As an additional problem, When I tried to open Adobe Premiere Pro (which I managed to download when I got the App Manager working for a while), I got the opening screen that asked me to open a project or start a new project.  No matter what I clicked on, Premiere Pro closed with an error message. Just as with the App Manager (and at the same time), I managed to get Premiere Pro to work (it seemed to work after I set permissions so I thought I solved it), so I was able to use it for a day.  However, now the problem has returned.
I don't know if these two problems are related, but they started working at the same time and stopped working at the same time, so I'm posting them together in case there is a connection.  I am running Windows Vista on my home computer.  I can sign on to the creative cloud online without problem so it recognizes me as a creative cloud subscriber.  My Internet connection is working fine.  I have disabled all firewalls and it still doesn't work.  Very frustrating, obviously.
Thanks for your time and any help or suggestions you can give.

Kardypaine for your Internet configuration difficulties I would recommend reviewing Sign in or activation errors | CS6, CS5.5 Subscriptions, CS6 Perpetual - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html.
For the failure of Premiere Pro to open you will want to review the install log to see if you received an installation error.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation logs at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • *FIX?* Adobe Application Manager - Download Error (Creative Cloud)

So I just started the subscription for the Creative Cloud and I downloaded the Adobe Application Manager, which seemed to have installed fine, and when I go into my creative cloud and click download, under for example photoshop, I get Download Error - Contact Customer Support in my AAM (Adobe Application Manager). I have tried many things that people in the forums have suggested from turing off my firewalls, to uninstalled and restarting my computer, I downloaded the most up to date AAM. Any other suggestions? I just got my subscription literally moments ago so I am a little bummed I can't access any of my new software.
I am using a Mac, if that makes any different. Hope someone can help.
Also, when I go to open up the AAM without clicking download for a adobe product the same Download Error pops up.
*So I may have fixed the problem accidentally, I downloaded a trial of photoshop. When I downloaded the photoshop trial it allowed me to use my subscription for my creative cloud. It also had me download the Adobe Download Assistant. I think the Adobe Download Assistant was the thing I was missing, now my AAM seems to let me download the rest of the programs I need. Hope this helps anybody else.*

TGarcia if you are on a managed network then please work with your I.T. department to ensure that the Adobe Application Manager/PDApp.exe has proper access to the Internet.
If you are on a non-managed network then please see Sign in or activation errors | CS6, CS5.5 Subscriptions, CS6 Perpetual - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html.

  • Adobe Application Manager Download Error

I'm having problems with installing the Adobe Application Manager (latest version) on my iMac running OSX 10.7.3. I've attached a screen shot of the error message I get when launching Adobe Application Manager.
I've managed to successfully install it on my MacBook Air also running OSX 10.7.3. Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

Download and install the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html and select the 3rd option and remove cleative cloud.
Then, download Adobe Application Manager for the below link.

  • Application Manager Download Error

I downloaded and installed the Adobe Application Manager and it worked finr the first time, but upon subsequent tries it fails to open correctly. I contacted support and they worked through the problem, having me change a few names on some associated program files on my hard drive and downloading it again. This allowed it to work properly but only the first time i opened it. It is again giving me the "Download Error - Contact Support". Surely there is a way to resolve this without having to rename files and redownload everytime.
Any help is greatly appreciated. This is on Windows 7.
    Daniel.

  • Application Manager "download error" even after using Cleaner Tool

I have Creative Cloud working on my primary computer and am trying to get it going on my laptop, a MacBook Pro on which I just installed Mountain Lion OSx.
I have not been able to install the Adobe Application Manager to start some software downloads. I get a window that pops up after the installer starts that says "Download Error. Contact Customer Support", then a button below that says "QUIT".
After reading a few posts about this, I tried the Cleaner Tool and restarted the computer.
After restart, I get the same problem and am not sure what to do next.
I am logged into Creative Cloud.
    Any ideas?

I had edge, photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver and lightroom on my laptop - (this is my 2nd computer - most apps are on my desktop system)
I uninstalled all of those and deleted Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager folder then I downloaded and reinstalled the application manager then tried to downlad the appd from my Creative Cloud account - it gives me the same error
before I deleted - I did try downloading Audition as a trial and then sign in on my CC account and it gave me that same error
march 1 - I tried to download a trial version on Photoshop - it will not download to my applications folder - due to "restrictive access privledges"
thought it might have to do with security preferences - changed to allow all - and it still will not download...
also tried to update Adobe Story and it also errored
so can't load any adobe apps to my laptop -
have tested on my desktop with same account and it works fine

  • Where is an Application manager download

    Hi,
I was confused by having a computer without a cd slot and have no intention of being involved with clouds, this led me to incorrectly install illustrator, InDesign and Illustrator by dragging them to the new computer.
This action does not transfer the Application manager for uninstalling all those files.
Is there somewhere I can download an uninstaller or is there something else I can drag over to the new computer that has an uninstaller.
I'm kind of stuck. I've been using Adobe since the mid 90's and have never once used the Bridge, don't plan to use it or the Cloud. All I want to do is use Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign but it appears Adobe is determined to force me to other software, is this true? Do I have to use the cloud?
    Garrett

Your best bet is to reload the OS after wiping the disk and start from there. There are downloads of all the Adobe products from Adobe.com which means you don't need a built-in drive, just a good internet connection and the serial numbers of the products.

  • Application Manager Download Freezes

    Hello,
I am downloading application manager then opening it up... it gets about 10% of the way done and then just stops and I get error 'A12E5'. What can I do to fix this? Thanks

Rcoleman252 which operating system are you using?  Are you on a managed network?  What type of a network connection are you using?

  • Application Manager Download Location

Hello: I downloaded the Application Manager in hopes of downloading the trial of PhotoShop CS6.
The problem is, I cannot dictate the download location, only the install location. It defaults to "C." Drive. My "C." drive does not have space for the download. I have plenty of space on my "D." Drive which is where I wish to download to.
On top of all this, I have found no way to uninstall the Application Manager.
Adobe, please fix this. Also, there should be an option to uninstall. If I cannot use the Application Manager, I do not wish to have it installed on my computer.
    Thank you.

The application manager uses your system's temp folder. Refer to this on how to change it (the part about SSDs):

  • Can we pause an Application Manager Download?

So far the Application Manager has installed Photoshop, and is at 25% for InDesign, which is par for the course for rural New Zealand after five hours of downloading.  Meanwhile I have bugger all access to the internet to find information.  It was a total nonstarter to actually search for the answer to this question for instance.  So does anyone know if I can pause the Application Manager without losing a part download, or even limit its bandwidth allocation?  I've had a hunt round in its Preferences and found nothing helpful.  As for using online help....    That's not going to happen with the severly limited bandwith the Application Manager has left me.

    Hi Trevor.Dennis,
No, you cannot pause the download of an application in Creative Cloud.
You can only cancel after which you have to start over again.
    Thanks,
