Application manager for CS5?

A few weeks ago the harddrive of my macbook pro crashed completely. Luckely I had made a backup in time machine. So when my macbook came back with a brand new harddrive, I reinstalled everything, including my adobe creative suite 5 design premium from my time machine. Since then all adobe programs asked me for the application manager. I have been searching for the application manager for CS5 but could only find the one for CS6. So I installed the CS6. Now the adobe programs are asking me for my serial number. But when I enter my serial number (I have a legal serial number!) it says "the serial number is not valid for this product". I guess it needs a serial number for CS6 not for CS5.
What can I do now? Where can I find the application manager for CS5? Or should I uninstall and reinstall everything and if I do, will my serial number work then?

If you had an upgrade, then it will need the qualifying serial number for the previous version.
Yes, it kind of sounds like you need to reinstall (maybe just a repair install will work) to replace some missing files.

I can't use my CS5 Acrobat Pro anymore because I am told to install Application Manager. I tried to install this but it won't work. I found only Application Manager for CS6, but not for CS5. Please help.

The error message says to install Adobe Application Manager. It says to get Application Manager and to install it.
I did that installation, but I still get the same message when I try to open Adobe Acrobat Pro.
The OS is Mac OS X 10.8.2
    Acrobat Pro 10.1.2 worked before.

  • SCCM Software Updates (and SCUP) vs. Application Management for 3rd Party Application Patching

    Hi,
We're getting ready to tackle the phenomena known as Java patching, and I was wondering if I could get your personal preference; SCCM Software Updates (and SCUP) vs. Application Management for 3rd Party Application Patching?
I probably should give a little background on my environment; It's a university atmosphere, so unless it's policy, you have to ask nicely...can't tell people to do things they don't want to; multiple version of required versions of Java for what ever reason,
which need to be identified, grouped together, and then upgrade as much as possible without breaking their old applications.
I was thinking that Application Management probably made more sense where it is more robust, especially for removing multiple installs of Java on a single system, but Software Updates/SCUP looks like it was built for this type of patching, so I'm a bit confused
why SCCM would have two components which essentially did the same thing.
    Your thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Bill

For Java version management specifically you can already achieve a lot by using the Application Model in CM12.
You can define supersedence between the different versions, just make sure to opt for uninstall of the older version when defining it.

  • Need to Prevent Adobe Application Manager for upgrading to Creative Cloud

I have successfully packaged Dreamweaver CS5&CS5.5 via Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition v2.1 and after a successfully deployed via SCCM Dreamweaver runs perfect. Unfortunatly upon the first launch of the icon on the desktop of "Adobe Application Manager" it's self upgrading to Creative Cloud.  This is a problem.  In this enterprise deployment I have updates set to manual and my AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat is set to the below which should be preventing this to my understanding <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Preferences> <Suppressed>1</Suppressed> </Preferences>

Thank you for getting back to me, currently my work around
is to have the deployment delete the two “Adobe Application Manager.lnk”
icons from both the desktop and the start menu for each OS version.  Not
exactly how I would like to have to do it however my
“AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat” does not seem to block Adobe Application
    Manager from updating.

  • How do I allow Adobe Application Manager for managed user?

When a managed user attempts to open CS5 Photoshop, this error comes up: "Adobe Application Manager is not allowed"
I know there is a way to give this app permissions in the Workgroup Manager, but I can't find them on the web (google or here)
Can anyone tell me which apps have to be allowed for CS5 Photoshop to work?

You can reinstall the Adobe Application Manager using this link http://www.adobe.com/applicationmanagerpatch/index.html.

  • Enable Adobe Application Manager for Auto Updates

    Hello all,
I originally had Adobe Application Manager enabled, which gave me update sto all my adobe products.  But I accidentally disabled it and now I cannot seem to find it anywhere on my computer.  I have checked in my program files and in my applications.
Can someone help me re-enable it?
    Thank you very much.

So doing this in any of my adobe products will invoke the Update Manager so that Adobe will scan for updates for all my adobe products, not just the one in which I did Help>Check for Updates?

  • Adobe application manager for cloud install?

How to correct corrupt adobe application manager

    Hi,
If you are a Creative cloud member then you can completely remove Adobe application manager from Adobe suite cleaner tool which can be downloaded through http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html and install our new Adobe Creative cloud from https://creative.adobe.com/https://creative.adobe.com/products.
Or else you can also downoad Adobe application Manager 7.0 instead of Adobe creative cloud from the following links:

  • Itunes 9 had application management for my Iphone, i can not find it in itunes 10 and a lot of the writing such as check for updates does not show up, only the button is there

How do I manage applications for my iphone in Itunes 10 like I used to in Itunes 9?  Also it appears that since the last update many of the words on itunes itself are missing, i see the button but no writing beside it how do i get it back?

Doublechecking before proceeding, tita. Are you seeing something a bit like this?
... or is something different going on?
Which Windows OS are you using? (XP, Vista, or 7?)
