Application manager only shows 12 apps

Greetings,
I have creative cloud for my work. I downloaded my desired app on my mac. I have a pc at home and I started downloading some apps there, but was interrupted so I ended up not downloading them at home, my goal was to download pc versions overnight, I figured I could just copy the downloaded files to a flash drive and then take them to work and install/activate at work. On my work pc now, app manager only shows 12 apps, the ones that I started downloading on my home pc no longer show. on my mac, app manager indicates the apps that are already installed. my pc app manager simply doesn't show them. i understand you can have two seats and that is my goal. please advise.

Is your home PC 64-bit? If it is only 32-bit then Premiere Pro and After Effects will not show on the Apps & Services web page or in the Adobe Application Manager. Also Edge will not show if you are running Windows XP.
Sure would be good if a note to that effect appeared in the AAM and on the App & Services page explaining that to all 32-bit users.
Silence (and no appearance of a Premiere Pro or After Effects entry) just leaves them scratching their heads expecting them to work it out for themselves.
Any chance of the engineers adding that tweak to the Cloud? Then these questions will disappear from the forums.

  • Why does application manager only shows me CS6 version of the apps? How do install the CC versions?

Everything in the Adobe site leads me to believe that the CC versions of the aplications are the current versions, however, when I open application manager, I only see the CS6 versions. Do I have to uninstall something and then reinstal? What do I do to install the CC versions?

The Creative Cloud versions will not be available until June 17th.  Please see the following related discussions.

  • Only Yahoo and Bing appear in the search box and the Search engine manager only shows them too.

No matter what I try, only Yahoo and Bing search engines appear in the search box top right on Firefox. The Search engine manager only shows these two engines as well. I want to add Goggle and have not been able to. The default restore in the Search engine Manager is "Greyed out". What can I do to fix this ?

If those search engines are also missing in the searchplugins folder in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) then a (re)install should restore them.
If they are present then try to delete search.sqlite and search.json in the Firefox Profile Folder.

  • Re: Application Manager and previously installed Apps

    I'm having the same issue.
I had downloaded trial versions of Photoshop CS6, Dreamweaver CS6, and Fireworks CS6. I then purchased the Creative Suite Design & Web Premium Hardcopy (CD). I uninstalled all of my Adobe programs before following the installation from the disc. However, my Adobe Application Manager shows that only Dreamweaver, InDesign and Fireworks are installed. The others are prompted for Download. I am currently using Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro without any problems, nor am I prompted in those programs for updates.
I'm currently running Windows 7, Service Pack 2.
    Ideas?
p.s. I've had problems in the past with the Application Manager giving me errors. The only way I've been able to fix this is to run the Setup.exe file and reinstall the Application Manager each time I want to open it. I've also had issues with Adobe Reader X and Acrobat Pro X not opening at all. This was fixed temporarily by deleting the cache.db file in the Common Files folder (under Program Files).

What version of the Adobe Application Manager are you using?  Do you have a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or 32-bit?

  • Application Manager Always Shows Install

I installed every application, but for Edge Animate and Touch App Plugins it's showing the Install option even though I have already installed it.  Everything else shows Up to date.  I've already tried uninstalling those particular ones and reinstalling.  I've tried reinstalling the Application Manager as well.  It's a bit anal I know, but just wondering if there's a way to show that it's all up to date like the rest of the installed apps, or if this is normal for those apps?

Then you may want to work directly with our support team.  You can contact our chat support at http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6.
Alternately you can try the following which should allow you to resolve your current difficulties:
Uninstall all Adobe Creative software using the uninstallers located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.
Use the CS Cleaner tool to ensure full removal has been completed - CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
Reinstall the Adobe Application Manager and download and install your software.

  • Application Manager and previously installed Apps

    1. My Creative Cloud Application Manager doesn't recognize that I have Photoshop installed (I had Photoshop before Creative Cloud). How can I get Cloud to recognize it?
    2. Is there a way to check for updates via the Application Manager rather than from individual apps?

I've had this issue several times since the release of CS6 (on both windows 7 and windows 8, x64).  It appears to be a 'not new' problem, and (I would think) must have been long ago entered into Adobe's defect/bug tracking systems.  Having to reinstall applications that are already installed, activated, and updated is a real time-waster . . .time we don't have to waste.  My last reset and clean reinstall of CS6 Master Collection (on a clean install of Windows) was about a month ago, and all was fine until yesterday.
Yesterday, Adobe Application Manager updated itself and now displays 'install' next to the following installed apps:
    Photoshop CS6
    Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Family
    Flash Professional CS6
    Illustrator CS6
    Flash Builder
    Acrobat X Pro
Additional Adobe apps that I don't have installed are (of course) correctly reflected:
    Muse
    Edge Animate preview
    Touch App Plugins
All other installed Adobe apps are correctly reflected.
Note that this is CS6 Master Collection, not the cloud version.
Control Panel (Programs and Features) shows the following items as installed:
    Adobe Acrobat X Pro
    Adobe Air
Adobe Creative Suite CS6 Master Collection
    Adobe Encore CS6 Library
    Adobe Help Manager
Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Functional Content
    Adobe Widget Browser
    Adobe Content Viewer
I am currently running on Windows 8 x64; but, as previously stated, experienced the same behavior multiple times on Windows 7 x64.
Attention from the Develpment/Deployment/ALM teams to resolve these issues in the Adobe Application Manager would be greatly appreciated.

  • Why does Startup Manager only show Recovery HD and not my other drives like Macintosh HD and my USB drive?

I'm not really sure what happened to my Mac but when I start it, it only shows Recovery HD and nothing else.  I tried re-installing Mountain Lion through my Apple ID but it states that I have not purchased it and will not let me proceed.  I have bought a usb drive that has Mountain Lion, since I cannot purchase it in the apple store, on it to install it from there but I cannot boot into my USB because it only shows "Recovery HD" in Startup Manager.  I would really appreciate some input from you all, thank you for your time in advance.

Either your drive is failing or has been corrupted. Please try the following. You cannot do the following unless you have purchased Lion or later. From your post that's not clear. Without knowing your exact model I cannot tell you what to do.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
If your computer is a 2010 or earlier model, then you should be able to do the following:
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

  • Open in feature only showing 9 apps to open in...

On both my iPad and iPhone, I noticed that the "open in" feature, only lists the 9 apps to open the file with, if you have more than 9, the rest of the apps do not show and you find yourself needing to delete some apps to be able to show the app you were targetting...
Is this a bug or an iOS limitation? Am I the only one having this problem? And is there a way to overcome it, or at least get to choose which 9 apps to sow in the list?
    Thank you...

It is a limitation, and as far as I know it's always had that limit. You can't edit the list of apps, though you may be able to alter it by deleting and re-installing apps. http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • How to reinstall LR5 if Application Manager still shows "up to date" although I've uninstalled it?

I work with Mac OS.. I've installed LR5 using the Adobe Application Manager and, a few weeks later, the program crashed and I cound't solve its problem. I decided to uninstalled it bu found no way to do this using the App. Manager, so I deleted it from Finder. Even after restarting the system several times, Application Manager still indicates that LR5 is "up to date", and for this reason I can't redownload and reinstall LR5.
I'm a photographer and need desesperately to have LR5 working back in my computer. What can I do to fix this problem?

  • The profile manager only shows my new profile. How do I switch back to my default profile?

I just made a new profile to use exclusively with an alternate version of Firefox. My regular version accidentally opened this new profile, so I tried using profile manager to set it back to the default. However, the profile manager is only showing my new profile. /appdata/roaming/mozilla/firefox/profiles shows that I still have my default and my new profile. Putting -P "default" in the target line just opens up profile manager. How do I switch back to my default profile or get it to show up in profile manager?

When a profile doesn't show in the Profile Manager then you can register this profile by using the Profile Manager to create a new profile.
You can click the "Choose Folder" button to make Firefox recognize and use an already existing profile.
It is best to create a desktop shortcut that selects a specific profile (-P "profile_name") to avoid opening a profile with the wrong Firefox version.<br />
Make sure to select the profile for the default browser in the Profile Manager, so that is used when you click a link in an external program.

You can use the -no-remote command line switch to open another Firefox instance with its own profile and run multiple Firefox instances simultaneously.

  • Open with only shows 10 Apps

    Dear Community,
the open with menu does not show all apps that are installed on my iPhone4. There seems to be a limitation to 10 apps and I don't find a setting to configure which apps are shown. I'm running iOS5, but there was the same issue with iOS4.
Do you experience the same problem? Is there a solution? Is it a bug or a feature?
    Thanks for your support

Yes, you can only see 10 apps in Open with.... It is not configurable. As the device is working to spec, there's not really a "solution". Sorry.

  • AppStore only shows iPad apps in the category lists

In the iTunes appstore, if I go to any of the categories, such as 'navigation' it only shows me iPad apps. I don't have an iPad and would rather see some iPhone apps!
I can't find any settings to change this.
How do I get to see iPhone apps in the category lists?

OK, I've solved this. If you go to the US store there are "iPad" and "iPhone" buttons at the top of the store, whereas the UK store currently doesn't so you can't switch to "iPhone".
I fixed this by going to the US store, selecting iPhone and then returning to the UK store.

  • Extension manager only showing fireworks

i just purchased the monthly CC suite and need to install several plugins to photoshop. I installed several adobe programs, indesign, fireworks, photoshop, illustrator ect. When i open the extension manager it says it can only fine fireworks. I'm running mac osx 10.9. please help!

You must have only installed Extension Manager CS6. Each version of Extension Manager only supports corresponding verison of Adobe products. To install extensions for CC products, you have to install Extension Manager CC. Please install it via Adobe Creative Cloud application.

  • Application Manager only offering CS6 trials instead of CS5.5 updates

    Hello,
We have a 250-user license for Adobe Master Collection CS5.5, but after the latest Application Manager update on Windows, all that Application Manager will display is trial versions of CS6, we can no longer receive CS5.5 updates with it. Attempting to install the updates manually via downloads from the Adobe website fails.
Can anyone suggest how we might fix this problem?

  • Launchpad only shows default apps

    Hello
All my custom apps in the utilities folder are not shown in launchpad - I created a new folder and dragged the custom apps there but they are copied not moved - how can I move apps to a different location? I figured that creating a e.g. "Miscellaneous" folder would show the apps in launchpad but I think it's kind a hassle having to copy them to the new location and then delete the source?!
