Application manager won't download applications

Pretty much just as it says in the title. I have the application manager but it fails to download anything. I have tried 3 times now and it goes as far as initializing and then installing but it doesn't actually install, with the task bar getting no further than 2%.
Any ideas would be welcome.

Hi there, it looks like this may help: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5065625#5065625 If not, what is the error message you are seeing? You may just need to reinstall the application manager. Let me know how it goes!

The addon for fire fox "adobe DLM" won't connect to the internet, after a few mins it pops up a window asking for  proxy server options

I have removed and reinstalled firefox as well I am using version 3.0.6 because the later version just wacks my cpu out and responds very slowly.
    thanks

Hi, My suggestion would be to Remove the DLM whereever you find it. It causes problems along with the getplus. Usually these can be found in the Add/Remove or Programs and Features. After Removing them, Restart you computer.
I don't know if you have run the Adobe Uninstaller, but do so here: Download and SAVE it to your Desktop. Keep in mind the Uninstaller will remove ALL Flash files, IE included and then you will need to use IE and run the Installer for that. It also can be downloaded to your Desktop. Since you just mentioned FF, I am including that Installer only.

Download the Flash Player Installer for FF to your Desktop:
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
Close all browsers Run the Uninstaller, Reboot your computer.
Then Run the Installer, Reboot your computer.

  • Adobe Application Manager Won't Open and CC Desktop failed to install

I am running Win 7 Ultimate. Adobe Application Manager Won't Open and CC Desktop failed to install on my computer after I signed up for Adobe CC tonight. I am currently using the CS5 suite (perpetual license) and do not want to uninstall any of the programs until I am successfully running the Adobe CC versions. The AAM gives me an error message saying that it failed to open when I select it, and the creative cloud installer fails to install. I have tried restarting my computer. Help? This is very frustrating. I am a student and use this software on a daily basis, and can't afford to not have these programs available when I need them.

The Adobe Application Manager is normally started from Photoshop menu Help>Updates.  Is this what you referring  to or are you referring to the Creative Cloud desktop application?

  • Application manager won't install and freezes almost immediately.

I am on a Mac OSX Lion. I just bought creative cloud and the Application Manager won't start. I am connected to the internet. Every time I start it up it initializes and then begins download but nothing happens. I have tried redownloading several times but end up having to Force Quit.
Would love some help! What do I do?
    Thanks

No error messages are appearing. It literally just looks like the below image for hours. When I click quit it doesn't shut down. When I into Force Quit it does not say "not responding", but forcing it to quit is the only way to get rid of it. And my internet connection is stable as far as I can see.

  • Prevent Adobe application manager  auto install downloaded software

I used Adobe application manager to download a trial version of photoshop cs6, but I need to install it at another time. Adobe application manager instead installs photoshop immediately.
How Can I prevent Adobe application manager to install downloaded software automatically?

You can only download a trial once, so you need to download it when you can use it.

Does Adobe Application Manager replace Adobe Download Manager?

That's not really a question. The application manager is only relevant for current CS6 and CC products, anyway, while ADM was/ is used on legacy products.

  • I have Office:mac 2004 and it won't download on my new MacBook Air.  Is it too old?  It says PowerPC applications are no longer accepted.

I have old Office:Mac 2004 Student and Teacher Edition from my previous MacBook and it won't download onto my new MacBook Air via external optical drive and says that PowerPC applications are no longer supported.  Am I stuck bying the newer version or is there a way around the software issue so I don't have to spend more money.  Thanks for your help.
    Kevin

You can purchase Offce 2011 from MacMall for about $99 so it is well worth the money.  As said in a previous post by Kappy, you can try one of the free office suites available.  They can read Office files and can save documents in Office format.  Apple's iWork is also a good ffice suite afavilable from the App Store by download. I have used Open Office,Libre Office and Neo Office and have liked each one of them.  Neo Office has the closest match to Apple operating systems - it just feels like an Apple program.  Open Office and Libre Office are also very good choices and dont have much of a learning curve at all.

  • NY Times Application Won't Download New Content

The New York Times application on my 2nd gen. touch won't download new stories. When I hit the refresh button, the status bar "Downloading Latest News" appears, but it remains at 0%.
My other apps have no problem connecting to the internet - mail, YouTube, Safari, Joost, etc.
I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, restarting and resetting my iPod, and resetting the settings.
    Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. Wife loves to read the NYT and this was one of the primary reasons I was able to talk her into getting a touch. Have tried resetting the network setting, resetting the app, reinstalling the app, restarting the ipod between all of the above, erasing and resetting the whole ipod. Nothing works.
