  • The web application root or the URL is invalid?

    Hey there-  So basically I'm setting up a simple ASP.NET FB4 project using IIS locally.  Before I get into my question, I can successfully create the project and test it on my machine.  My concern is that I can not receive a valid confirmation from FB when setting up the configurations.  For instance, if I place the correct paths:
    Web application root: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\weborb4
    Web application URL: http://localhost:1234/weborb4
    I always receive this error, The web application root or the URL is invalid.  Is there something I should be looking into?  Any suggestions are appreciated!

  • Hard-coded application name in Customized App.

    Dear all,
    The name of standard application has been hard coded in one of the methods where URL for a page is generated. The customized application starts calling standard pages at this point.
    I copied this method-code and called it from my object. But this is giving runtime context error.
    I would have replaced the application name from this URL after method call, but its called at many points in application.
    Kindly suggest what should i do now.
    Thanks

    The @computername@ variable takes a computer name defined by the user who deploys the template.
    To make this template fit for scaling you have to define the computer name not as a variable but as a name followed by a number of ### symbols. The ### symbols will become numerical values. VMM makes sure that the numbers are incremented each time you scale
    your computer tier.
    Serv## will resolve in Serv01, Serv02, etc.
    I’ve tried to combine the variable with the ### symbols in the past. I recall this didn’t work back then (2012SP1).

  • E-Recruiting - BSP Application name from E-Rec portal URL

    Hi,
    How can we find out the name of the BSP application from the E-Rec portal URL? I need to do a change to the activity and unable to locate the exact BSP application name for that. Any help will be greately appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Naresh

    Hello Naresh,
    If you want to integrate the BSP application and want to know  how this application is generated, then you can have a look over the Report rcf_generate_url, This generates the URL for Recruiter, Candidate etc.
    otherwise If you want to see which application is running then you have to check with the application starting with HRRCF.
    Best Regards,

  • SSO Deployment-specific login - howto display application name

    I am deploying 4 forms applications using a single SSO server/OID for authentication. The problem is, I want to display the application name on login.jsp, depending on which application was requested.
    For example:
    If the URL is http://localhost/forms/frmservlet?config=app1, then login.jsp should display "App1".
    If the URL is http://localhost/forms/frmservlet?config=app2, then login.jsp should display "App2".
    ...... and so on. Has anyone ever done it before? I am using Oracle 10g Release 2.
    Thanks,
    Sanjay Gulabani

    Thanks to timktaylor's earlier post (messageid=1184036), I was able to solve this problem. I am using Oracle 10g (10.1.2.0.2) Single Sign On and Forms Services.
    For anyone who is facing a similar problem, I am pasting the code - just use it as it is in login.jsp - of course, you will need to change app1 and "APP 1" etc to suit your application names.

  • Is there a way to prevent chaging an application ID in the URL

    Environment
    APEX 3.1.00.09 on AIX 5.3
    I had a question posed to me from our middleware person concerning changing the URL by a user.
    We have an outward facing APEX application, say ID 100, that uses a reverse proxy inside the firewall to point to the actual server hosting the APEX application. When a user enters the URL given to them for this application the login screen pops up just as planned. When the user now types over the application number in the URL he is taken to the login screen of a different application hosted on that same server.
    The question is: How can I do either or both of the following:
    1- prevent the user from over-typing the application ID in the URL or
    2- when the user does type over the application ID he/she is redirected back to the desired application, in this case ID 100
    This is the only outward facing application we have at the moment but I can foresee more coming.
    Thanks very much in advance for your help.

    Issue: Need help in restricting access to single application URL
    Background/setup:
    We currently have the following setup in our environment and trying to expose a single URL to the internet.
    [Internet]-à[Firewall] -à [Apache Web Server as proxy] à [OHS + Apex running on same server]
    [SERVER1] [SERVER2]
    I have defined a virtual host on Apache Web Server residing on [SERVER1] which communicates with a virtual host defined on OHS on [SERVER2].
    When I try to access this URL ( http://servername.com/pls/apex/f?p=150:4) from outside it works fine, but if I change the number in the URL to (http://servername.com/pls/apex/f?p=160:5), it is exposing other applications. I tried to define some rewrite rules but they seem to be too restrictive or just don’t do the job.
    I was hoping if someone can help with me any valuable suggestions in getting past this issue. I masked some of the IP/server name information for security reasons.
    These are the error messages in the error_log which shows how the URL’s are being served:

  • WSDL URL is invalid or the WSDL file is not valid or incorrect

    Hi All,
    I am using Oracle Soa Suite 11g. I have got Oracle database, Oracle weblogic admin server, Oracle SOA server all installed on my laptop.
    I have deployed a sample BPEL process. When I am trying to test the process it is giving an error
    "Either the WSDL URL is invalid or the WSDL file is not valid or incorrect. - WSDLException: faultCode=PARSER_ERROR: Failed to read wsdl file at: "http://KSNPavan-PC:8001/soa-infra/services/default/MyHumanWorkFlowSample1Project/vacationrequestprocess_client_ep?WSDL", caused by: java.net.ConnectException. : java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect "
    Now, when I change the url address to
    "http://localhost:8001/soa-infra/services/default/MyHumanWorkFlowSample1Project/vacationrequestprocess_client_ep?WSDL"
    (Please note the difference in host name from KSNPavan-PC to localhost.)
    and click parse wsdl it is working well. I mean the test page is opening successfully and I am able to test the service.
    Testing the service from admin console is fine. Now I want to use this BPEL process service in another BPEL process. So, when I am piciking this service wsdl in JDeveloper it is throwing me the same error and I am unable to go ahead.
    Can anyone please tell me whetherI have to set property in the admin server console so that it always take local host in all the wsdl urls and solve my problem.
    Thank you,
    KSN Pavan.

    My problem has got solved with the help of my colleagues. Actually the problem was that the host name KSNPavan-PC is not there in the C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts file. I Added the host name in the file with the IP same as that of local host and everything isworking well now.
    Thank you,
    KSN Pavan

    Hello Roland_Zeki,
    Can you check System in the Windows Log of Event Viewer? Maybe you have some logon failure for one of the services, like in this blog:

    Yes I have verify this point I suspected to be the origine of the problem. But no, the accounts have fixed password and are not locked. I test this point with a valide login on the server, and I reenter the login password for each app pool.

  • How to exit from a WebDynpro ABAP application and open another url

    Hi Friends,
    How to exit from a WebDynpro ABAP application and open another url like (www.yahoo.com) in the same window of the WD4 application on click of a Button?
    Regards,
    Xavier

    Hi,
    First of all you should create outbound plug in the window you are trying to exit with plufg type "Exit"
    Then create method handler in the view with this code
            data lo_view_cntr type ref to if_wd_view_controller.
            data lo_win_cntr type ref to if_wd_window_controller.
            data: l_parameter_list type wdr_event_parameter_list,
                  l_parameter type wdr_event_parameter,
                  l_val type ref to data,
                  l_val_url type REF TO data.
            field-symbols: <fs> type any,
                           <fs_url> type any.
            lo_view_cntr  = wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
            lo_win_cntr = lo_view_cntr->get_embedding_window_ctlr( ).
            CREATE DATA l_val type c.
            CREATE DATA l_val_url type string.
            ASSIGN l_val->* to <fs>.
            ASSIGN l_val_url->* to <fs_url>.
            <fs> = 'X'.
            <fs_url> = 'http://your-link.com'.
            l_parameter-name = 'URL'.
            l_parameter-value = l_val_url.
            INSERT l_parameter INTO TABLE l_parameter_list.
            lo_win_cntr->if_wd_view_controller~fire_plug( EXPORTING plug_name = 'EXIT_PLUG'
                                                                    parameters = l_parameter_list ).
          You can easily change this logic to exit application instead of redirecting to the site
           just changing to
           l_parameter-name = 'CLOSE_WINDOW'.

  • How to secure the Webdynpro Application name ?

    Hi Experts,
      I have a requirement to send the Webdynpro Application name to Outlook inbox where the users will logs into that application and they will see the view the data and clicks on some action(Approve or Reject).
    Now the my client does not want send that actual Webdynpro URL to outlook mailbox as it is having some security issues(host and domain details). Instead of that, can we change the actual Application name to any custom name by changing the host , domain and etc, parameters ?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Regards,
    Giri

    Hi,
    If you want to hide the application path, goto SICF transaction and then create an External Alias for your WDA application path and then send the Alias path name.
    Suppose, you have the WDA application url as
    host:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/<APPLICATION_NAME> . Instead of this you can just show
    host:port/sap/<Your Name> ( or any other) using Alias.
