HFM 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.2 upgrade - applications not visible in workspace

Hi Gurus,
                    Recently upgraded HFM system in distributed environment from version 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.2 on MS Win 2008 R2 platform and Oracle 11g database. There are two servers as follows:
Machine 1:     Foundation
                       Reporting
                       Workspace
                        HFM Web
Machine 2: Foundation common components
                   HFM
                   FDM
Applied maintenance release, configured existing databases for individual components and deployed to application server on existing domain (on Machine 1 WebLogic) which went fine. Lastly configured web server on Foundation (Machine 1 - Oracle HTTP). Then executed the HFM schema upgrade utility.
Workspace & shared services are working fine, HFM apps are appearing in shared services, hfm text appears using hfm url, services are running fine. Issue is that HFM applications do not show up on workspace.
Oracle support suggested applying adf patches, HFM 303 & 305 patches, but the problem remains even after applying all the suggested patches. Is this a bug in 11.1.2.2? Please help.

Hi Hamm,
The fact that you are saying that "hfm text appears using hfm url" can mean that you have not configured the workspace web server after you configured the HFM. Have you done that?
As another test, have you tried toy connect to HFM via smartview to an existing app?

Abap webdynpro layout and application not displayed

    We have upgraded the SAP HR system from ECC6.3 to ECC6.4 and netweaver from 7.0 to 7.1 .
    Following are the list of error in EHP4 system ,

I resolve this problem by deploying mime object by program in R/3 , so that i can able to view layout .
But still application is not displayed it shows error like
1) 'UCF_LoadingPlaceHolder' is undefinged by testing through R/3 and starting view is not opened .
2) 'UCF_Image' is undefined by testing through portal but starting view is opened here .
3) while navigating from one view to any view or window is not possible , it gives error
4) When I navigate from one view to other .
The following error text was processed in the system D36 : The ASSERT condition was violated.
The error occurred on the application server RELSRMSR2_D36_00 and in the work process 0 .
The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
The ABAP call stack was:

Portal application not displaying correctly with frame size 125% in IE

Dear Expert,
We are facing issue in Portal (7.0) like, when I open the application "Products Coatings" in myWorkspace with Internet Explorer
display size 100% the frame "xyz" is displayed correctly:But When I open the application "Product Coatings" in myWorkspace with Internet Explorer display size 125% the same frame is NOT displayed correctly.
Someone can help me in closing this issue..

Applications Not Appearing in Workspace (9.3.1)

Hello all,
We recently upgraded to system 9.3.1 and intermittently users are not seeing the applications when logging into Workspace.
Example: USER A logs in to Workspace, is able to perform all necessary duties by logging on to the application for days, sometimes weeks at a time. Suddenly, USER A logs in, and Workspace appears as if there are no applications registered at all. The next day USER A logs in and everything is back to normal.
Can anybody give me a clue as to where to look to find the source of this?
I have a sneaking suspicion it is because the applications were not properly de-registered from the previous version (System 9.3.0.1) which had completely different server names as the current system 9.3.1.
If that is the case, those references would be located in the tables in the main HFM database, but what, or should i even, modify/delete those references?

The error is only occurring on our HSS/Core Services box.
One of the log files for BIPLUS on the HSS box grows to 4GB, cuts off then starts creating another one of itself and does this AT LEAST once a day!

So in one of the log errors, it lists the user that is trying to connect. It is the SS admin I created during the installation, 'hypadmin'. This user of course does not have access to the BIPLUS db, which would cause these errors.
So I tried something, created a SQL user of the same name with the same password. Restarted services, and everything seemed to work fine, except this time when I tried to launch SS, it said a severe error had occurred, and to restart SS.
I restarted, same error. the horror consumes me...
so i went back into SQL, looked at the processes and lo and behold hypadmin was using one measely connection. I killed the process, killed the user ID in SQL, restarted all of my services and everything was golden again except, of course, the monstrosity that is the usageservice log file and the constant hangs while in the user management console.
does any of this ring a bell? how would a native directory user be configured to access the db???

Media Not Displaying in Workspace

I am running into an issue with Adobe Premiere Pro CC v7.2.1 not displaying my media (video and images) in the workspace after I import and drag it into the timeline when my laptop is docked in my docking station. For videos, it is playing the audio, but I cannot preview the video. After undocking my laptop from my docking station though, it displays just fine. If I re-dock it, I lose my video preview again. It seems that the previewer is having an issue with how the dock or the video driver routes the video. What is the best way to resolve this?

Gatewayed Remote Application not displaying in ALI 6.5

I have successfully created a Remote Web Service to display a remote application logon page. However, when I log in to the app, nothing is displayed in the portlet. I receive no errors both on the page and in ALI logging. What is going on? As far as I can tell the app is not redirecting to another server.

Nevermind ... it was a problem in my CLASSPATH environment variable. It works now, though I haven't been able to run the fortune application either. I'll keep trying.

MRWE application not displaying output

My script that contains several MRWE Fortran programs no longer displays screen output since updating to OS X 10.5. When running the programs stand alone (not within Applescript) the screen output is displayed as usual.
What has changed and what do I need to do to see the screen output when running Applescript?

Messages application not displaying messages

Hi everyone, i am hoping to get some help here.
anytime i miss a call, the missed call log takes over my messages application (even though i did not enable call logs to be displayed in my messages application). So when i open my message or email application i will not see my emails but my missed call logs will be displayed there until i do a hard reset.
This is starting to annoy me. Is there a fix to correct this error?

Profitability and Cost management application not available in workspace

Hi All,
I hope somebody in this forum can help me with this.
i have built a profitability and cost management application in workspace . I have validated and deployed it sucessuflly. But when i try to open the application , i am not able to see the profitability section in the open Menu or Navigate menu of workspace.
Can somebody tell what could be the cause for this?
Some Information:
I deployed one application with "Default application group" one with "Profitabilty and Cost Management"
I created the Profitabiilty and Cost Management application Group seperately in Shared Services.

Hi Abishek,
The issue got solved after accepting the workspace server settings. Intially it didnt show me the Profitability module on the Edit mode, but when i clicked ok ( i mean accepting) it came though. Not sure how it has happened.
But it is working now.

Planning application not opening in workspace

HI
I have installed essbase 9.3.1(EAS,essbase, plannig, reporting and analysis)
I have created sample planning application in Planning web, but I could not open it in workspace.
I can see the application name
Navigate->application->planning application-> applicstion name
I have done all the config tasks.
I can't open classic application adminstrion through workspace,
(I can login to workspcase).
Getting the following warning
Warning: Please make sure that Application is registedred with Shared services, make sure shared services running.
Please open workspace after some time.
But I did registed reporting with shared services, given admin previleges to planing application.
Experts please help.

I have seen this sort of issue when there is not enough resources, what sort of system are you running Hyperion on.
You should be able to access planning directly through http://<planning machine>:8300/HyperionPlanning/ and to create apps http://<planning machine>:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp

Application not displayed in st03

Hello,
Recently we have restarted our production, while restarting one of our application server (Dialog Instance) did not came up due to some problem at OS level.
Now the problem is solved and the app server is up now.
But when I see in st03 I couldnt find this app server entry in that.
Can any body tell me how this will be appeared in st03.
And one more thing this is displayed in os07.
