Application not keeping active

I am having an issue with my old G4. It runs on 10.4.11.
I hardly ever use this mac for work so don't know when the problem started or where it stemmed from. What happens is this: I open InDesign 2, open a document, start work on it. After a couple of minutes the inDesign document top bar goes grey (like it's been deselected) but the doc remains on screen, all the inDesign tools disappear - it's like I've clicked on the background and gone out of inDesign. Consequently I keep having to reclick on the document to work on it again, it's very annoying and frustrating! If I do nothing and sit and watch after another couple of minutes the inDesign tool bars will all flash up again, and then disappear again a few seconds later. And the whole thing repeats again and again... Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? I don't really know what to call this behaviour so can't do a google for help. Cheers!

Actually there are two problems. 1) When I try to open a picture in CS6 camera raw I get this error "Bridge's parent application is not active. Adobe application manager keeps opening and will not allow me to install creative cloud. I am trying to sync fonts and the install is not working. The adobe application manager will open on its own and not allow the creative cloud app to install. I do have other creative cloud products installed however the creative cloud installer icon is not appearing in my toolbar nor does creative cloud show up as an app. I get an error message that I must have creative cloud installed when I try to sync fonts via the type kit to photoshop.

as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

I sounds like you have the first generation (1G) iPod Touch with an iOS earlier than 2.0, Yu can identify your ipod here:

You can identify your iOS version by going to Settings>General>About and look by Version. Yu can update ti iOS 3.1.3 (the lated for the 1G) by this link. It is a paid update. You may have to try another browser to get he sublink to work correctly.

ITunes stops/starts songs every time certain keys are pressed, whether application is open/active or not.

iTunes stops/starts songs whenever ENTER,"/" [num pad] or DELETE is pressed, whether the application is open/active or not. Updated to most recent version a few days ago, though this began seemingly spontaneously today, possibly tied to an iPad sync although I really have no idea how it could have started.

unfortunately no, a million people are attempting to update their phones right now, and thus activate them. Patience will have to suffice.
For the future, I would recommend not updating essential work devices on the launch day

Activation requires a SIM, assuming the SIM is functional it should simply activate.

After the latest update, 35.0.1, Firefox dumped all my passwords and will not remain active in keeping passwords. I must keep checking the "Remember passwords for sites" box every time I use Firefox and enter a website. I will download version 36.0 now that it has just notified me.
