  • Device not listed in find my iphone after updating my apple id password

how to track my iphone5 that is already lost and when i sign in icloud my lost device is not listed in find my iphone after updating my apple id password. i also enabled icloud and imessage and facetime in that iphone using my current apple id that i used in icloud. pls help me

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account.  You can either go to https://expresslane.apple.com, select "More Products and Services", then "Apple ID", then  on the next page select "Other Apple ID Topics", then "Lost or forgotten Apple ID password" and click "Continue"; or you can contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

  • Application Not listed In Force Quit Applications Window

I running an application that is not displaying in the Force Quit Applications window.
When Adobe Lightroom 3 is running it is not listed.
I have quit the application and relaunched it and it still is not appearing in the list of Applications that are running.
What may have happened? How can I remedy this issue?
    Thank you.

Why do you need to invoke the force quit? Are you experiencing hangups, freezes, or ?
When you have the Help section pop up window of an application open, the app itself stays "hidden" until you close the help window - you have to get used to closing that first.

  • XS Application not listed in HANA XS Applications menu

    Hi!
I have been following the steps written in this document ->
8 Easy Steps to Develop an XS application on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform
to familiarise myself with SAP HANA Cloud Platform. I was successfully able to finish until step 7. Now I like to run the application, but unfortunately this application I created is not listed in the HANA XS Applications menu. What must I do to list my XS Application in the HANA XS Applications menu?
I checked the web based development workbench and it contains all the documents of the application I created.
    Greetings,
    Ruchi

  • Applications not visible in finder

I loaded Mountian Lion on to my Macbook Pro and now my applications subfolder is not visible in Finder?  I can't seem to find it anywhere?  Any ideas where it went to?
    Thanks!

Your Applications folder should be in Macintosh HD/Applications.
Not sure what you mean by a sub-folder?
Can you launch your apps from the Dock?

  • Stop applications not listed in Login Items from launching

When I sign in, all Microsoft Office applications as well as others not listed in Login Items launch automatically. These include Skype, iChat, my HP Printer utility, etc., which are not listed at all in Login Items. Never had this problem with Leopard.
    How do I stop this?

Open SysPrefs > General and unselect the option to "restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps." Then, when you log out make sure and unselect the option to "reopen windows when logging back in." You can quickly do this latter by tapping the space bar.

  • Applications not listed in spotlight

Over the past week, spotlight as stopped listing applications as search results. Spotlight is also not searching my mail, contact, folders, etc. It is only showing Wikipedia, Bing and web searches.  Here is a screen shot of a search...
Here are the specs for my computer ...
    I appreciate any help.

Problems such as yours are sometimes caused by files that should belong to you but are locked or have wrong permissions. This procedure will check for such files. It makes no changes and therefore is not, in itself, a solution.
First, empty the Trash, if possible.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    find ~ $TMPDIR.. \( -flags +sappnd,schg,uappnd,uchg -o ! -user $UID -o ! -perm -600 \) 2>&- | wc -l | pbcopy
Launch the built-in Terminal application in either of the following ways:
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run.
Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear.
The output of the command will be a number. It's automatically copied to the Clipboard. Please paste it into a reply.
The Terminal window doesn't show the output. Please don't copy anything from there.

  • Applications Not Listed in Parental Controls

Has anyone cracked the mystery of what causes an application to be listed (or not) in the list of applications in the Parental Controls panel of System Preferences under the "Other" application category? I'm trying to add a newly-installed application to that list. At first glance it seems to be configured similarly to another application that does appear in that list. Thanks for any information.

I believe I've learned a little more about this problem. When I do an "ls -l" command in the Terminal utility, at least some of the third-party applications that I can see in the Parental Controls list have an at-sign ("@") just after the permission settings, for example, "drwxrwxr-x@". Those without it don't appear. The "man" page for "ls" mentions an at-sign after the permissions settings meaning extended attributes. When I execute the command "ls -l -@" on one of those applications with extended attributes, I'm shown the attribute "com.apple.FinderInfo 32". How can I apply that attribute to the other applications? Thanks for any advice.
Edit: A little more research revealed a mention of an "xattr utility", but there's no "man" page entry for that.
Edit #2: Another comment mentioned that xattr is part of the BSD package. I would have thought I'd have installed that, but I can't find it.

  • Hi First time Posting.  I can't find Preferences.  It is not listed in Finder.  Please make it simple, thanks, Carol

Hi, My first time posting.  Have been going in circles and need some help.  Started with not being able to find my memory stick, didn't show up on desktop.  Think I found a way in but the main problem right now is I cannot find Preferences.  All posts I have checked say to go to Finder and click on Preferences, but it is not there.  Can anyone help.  Thanks

You have to click on the word "Finder" in the menu bar. (If you do not see the word click anywhere on the desktop.) When you do that you will see a list of options. In the list, click on Preferences. Another pane will open.
Now click General (on the top row), then select everything by clicking on all the boxes in the section "Show these items on the desktop:"
    Close this pane.

  • How can I add applications not listed in the root Applications folder?

I'm running in a non-administrative (i.e. not the first) user account, I have my own Applications folder with apps that I have downloaded and installed myself. Is it possible to add these apps to the list in Automator?

I believe he was answering what you were implying by implying that Automator would automatically be aware of the actions once you've used the application.
If it doesn't have any actions, then the app won't show up in Automator. If you've downloaded actions for an app separate from it, you can add the actions using an option in Automator's File menu. More about that here.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Automator/1.0/en/ensm1010.html
Just to be clear, it shouldn't matter where the app is installed, just make sure you've used the app so the system will know about more about the app. The same thing goes for Spotlight, file types, services (application menu > Services), and so on. It shouldn't matter where the app is located, the system will discover what the app has available when you open that app.
If you believe an app should have Automator actions, then review the website of the developer of that app for info about what the actions are and whether they made them separate from the app for some reason. Another possibility is the actions might be available only in certain versions of the app you've installed. Definitely check the the app's developer's website for info about its actions.

  • Why are applications not listed in System Profiler?

    Hi Apple Support Community,
System Profiler -> Software -> Applications displays "No information found." instead of the expected list of 64bit / 32bit applications installed.  What could cause this and how can I get System Profiler to rescan the applications installed?
    Thank you,
    System Version:          Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549)
    Kernel Version:          Darwin 10.8.0
    64-bit Kernel and Extensions:          Yes

Discussion thread http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=11077939 suggests Applications are not displayed in System Profiler because I purposefully disabled Spotlight for performance reasons and the indexing of external drives.

  • Paid for Applications not listed on My Stuff

Paid for applications are no longer listed on My Stuff.  How do I get them listed.  They used to be listed.  The stupid receipts they emailed me do not say which app they are for.  The developer says to see Ovi about it.  No other place that I buy software from on line does things in this dumb a way.

  • Planning Applications not listed

    Hi,
I am on 11.1.1 and created few planning applications.
I can see them in Workspace (Navigate -> Planning -> Application list) however I can;t see application list if I try to access directly via planning link i.e. localhost:19000/HyperionPlanning or localhost:8300/hyperionplanning.
I have registered all application and these are visible in shared services.
    Please comment.
    Thanks,

If there is no reason to create a cluster you should really stick with the default
You can go into manage clusters and select the default as the active cluster.
It is possible to associate applications with a cluster as well from the options.
You probably need to restart services after making changes.
    Cheers
