Application on PC is free but when sent to mobile ...

Hi,
I wanted to get Fake Messages by Dr. Jukka so I opened Ovi Store on my PC and sent the link on my phone where instead of download button was buy and the price.
What's the catch?!

Rajagopal.pngr :- It is only a holding charge, it is not a permanent charge. If it isn't refunded within a few days or so (and it quite possibly won't be over a weekend) then you can query the charge with Apple.

Yes. You can set the payment method to "None" once you log into iTunes on your PC/Mac. I have it set up this way.

Check carefully. Perhaps you are trying to copy 9 GB plus 1.3 GB for a total of 10.3 GB. That would give you the message you see.

According to Macworld it is a lowest common denominator situation. If any of the people on your list are not iMessage people then all the messages go out SMS and will count against your messages from your provider. Bummer IMHO, but that is the way it is.

I got an App for free, but when i download it, they charged me an amount.

I wrote them directly to make a complaint but they never got back to me, Also i have no idea how to cancel this app and they will be charging me a monthly payment

IPad not sending iMessages but when sent from iPhone, they show up!

I have no idea what is going on but my iPad won't send iMessages for some reason. I sent them from my iPhone and they work fine, and even show up on the iPad, but it won't send them. I decided to try a "soft reset" (pressing/holding home button and on/off button) and that seems to have completely killed it. It never showed the apple on the screen and just went black and won't come back on. Yay. :-(
Anyone else have a problem like this? Any ideas on how to fix it??

Yes, I was trying to send messages to people I regularly send iMessages to, as recently as only a few hours earlier. When I came in to use the laptop, however, it said there was an IP conflict, so that may have been the problem. I may never know, though, unless the iPad comes back to life.

In Settings General About my ipod says 1.3 GB free but when i download certain apps it says no avaliable space

and 'other' is the software on it so it cant be deleted. try putting photos on your computer and deleting them from the ipod that will clear space

I have about 50GB of free storage according to About this Mac, but when I try to download anything, I get a notice that there's no room.

Chris , thanks for the prompt reply. The dvd was produced by a third party that I found on line . I had a number of old mini digital video cassettes from a Sony Handycam. I can play the DVD's on my laptop but I can't edit them on iMovies to delete a lot of the rubbish on them. I have five DVD's and three downloaded without any problem but the last two are according to iMovies non importable.

Silverlight application (example.xap) doesn't run when call in other pages using "Object tag"

I have silverlight 3 installed with Visual studio 2008. installation is fine.
I have created a silvelight application including a test page.
In my test page I used the "object tag" to call my application as it is suggested since silverlight 3:

At the run time, using the test page my application runs as expected. But when i call the same application in another page i have created, nothing happens: the web page is blank. I wonder why it works with the test page created at the same time with the
silverlight application ( i have checked the radio button that required the test paged creation during the process of the silverlight application) and why it doesn't work with a page created separately.

Thank you for your helps. But i want to let you know that the html code i wrote in my post is just an example so I will complete my post with more information.
0- I have visual studio 2008 installed with silverlight 3.
1- I have created a web project with a master page (my master page has a content page )
2- I added a silvelight application: carousel.xap (during its creation I've accepted to add a test page: carouselTestPage.aspx)
3- I added a main page Home.aspx: which inherits from the master page created in step 1, then I call my silverlight application in this content page using the object tag.
Result of the tests during run time:
My silverlight application carousel.xap works fine when I test it with the
carouselTestPage.aspx.
But my silverlight application carousel.xap doesn't work with the main page I added to my web project. the web content page is blank.

so the application source is correctly supplied in the object tag description. so I wonder why it doesn't work with a separate content page in the same web project and work with this embedded Silverlight Test page.

I used to have FF and then I had to reformat. Downloaded file but when it goes to extract, I get Local\temp\7zS6f17.tmp\setup.exe. The directory name is not valid. I've never had this before. Suggestions? ps: can't use firefox because of this =(

This reformat is doing my head in. I hate using IE and was really looking forward to getting back onto FF.
All I did was download the application, try to run it but when it comes to the extraction, a pop up box comes up with the info I've put up there.
Any suggestions that gets me off stupid IE would be appreciated.

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".
