Application opens but I cannot use it?

I have experience several times that an app suddently doesn't work correctly any more. It a dictionary app that I use a lot thru my work.
When I open the application I starts up. I can find it when pressing (CMD+Tab). It's there in the top menubar. I just cannot use the app. Nothing happens when I try to press the icon in the dock or try to chose open in the top-menubar.
Do you know how to fix this...?
Rebooting the computer doesnt help. I've tried to uninstall, and reinstall - then everything works again.

I found the solution!
The problem was actually because of my thunderbolt display. I use the app at work on my thunderbolt display (TD). I always have the app open in my right side of the screen. When quitting and disconnecting the TD and opening the app on my laptop display the application is completely gone from the desktop as described ealier.
It must be some kind of error remembering the last "open" localisation of the app and switching between different resolutions.
When I use the app in my left side of the TB everything works fine.

I have a Fuji X-M1. I trialled Photoshop Elements 13 for a few days and then bought a DVD and installed it recently. All has gone well until today when I got a message to download a Camera Raw Plug in-which I had done on the trial product. This time, with the full product installed from the DVD, I can open Organiser but when I try to edit, the edit panel opens but I cannot get the photo from Organiser into the Edit panel. If I press a key in edit I simply get a 'ding' sound. .I still have Photoshop 10 on the laptop. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. It shouldn't because I have only done on the same on the full product as the trial version, which worked fine. The problem seems to be the download. I restarted the laptop after the download. I want to be able to work on RAW versions of my photos.

CS 5 - Application opens but I cannot open an existing file or open a new one

I am working with Windows 7.0. All has been working fine with the program, but suddenly I can't open old files or create a new one.

Thanks i think I got it working of a fashion.
Except the replace colour, does not seem to end up with the colour I picked using the picker tool. Its as though it hads not replaced the colour but blended in the desired colour with the old incorrect colour!
Buy trial and error picking not the right colour but close - which when mixed with the existing colour is close.

The scenario is:- say a blonded mainly tanned model a high cut [at the hips] corsette style basque, with an ultra low bra line.
Our dear model, has just come back from St Barts with a fabulous Tan, and equally striking bold Tan lines!.
So we have great tanned legs, then the 'porcelain white band' where her swimsuit was.
Likewise we have a tanned face, and arms, shoulders etc and a great tan on the top of the cleavage, then it stops, white band to the top of the ultralow cut bra line of the basque.
She must have lived in like the most conservative bikini on the planet [50's style], for 2 weeks!
Had she had a normal skimpy bikini on, no problem!
If i don't solve it, she will get fired!

HP says that the drivers for your all in one print/scanner are downloadable from apple. For the scanner to use preview. image capture or the scan icon from the print driver queue. I don't know how old your HP is, but I know that the newer Os from apple don't support a lot of older printers. You might be able find a third party driver that could work.

A couple of possibilities:
How did you remove CS4 ? If you removed it improperly instead of Uninstalling it (say, you "deleted" it or just dragged it to the Recycling Bin), you almost certainly left stuff behind that needed uninstalling.
What's even worse, if you removed CS4 after you installed CC you may have messed with the CC installation.
I'm not going to attempt to tell you how to fix it, since this will probably involve uninstalling CC and after that looking for, downloading the Adobe CS_Cleaner tool and the CC_Cleaner tool, then re-installing CC, since I'm not a Windows user and don't want to mislead you.
In any case, when Windows users chime in to assist you, they'll need all the details which you have not provided so far.

First try killing Words. When on the home screen double press the HOME button, then swipe the screen image of Words up to close it.
Next, reset your iPhone by holding HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears. If the problem is not resolved delete the app from your phone, reset the phone again, then reinstall the app.

Does this mean that the iPod works fine but when you connect the iPod to your computer iTunes does not see - your iPod?
- Have you tried:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X
- If you really have OSX 10.6.x (not 10.5.8 as stated) try:
Mac OS X v10.6 or later: iOS device not recognized in iTunes after restart
- Have you tried another cable and USB port?
- If the iPod is not working then there are other things to try.

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes.

Thanks. I don't know why it wouldn't just go back there when I tried putting it back? I didn't change anything, so I assumed the new "default" was over on the left. Glad it was a simple solution after all.
