Application overview required?
Hi,
I'm new to apex and gone through some videos on it, because my company is searching an application to develop reports. I have found some amazing facts on apex and I've started more tending to choose apex for our company. My firm has huge amount of data so can apex show, lets say 500 columns and 1MM rows in one report?
Can we create an application on apex where management team can fetch data which involves join?
Do we have any limitation of number of characters for each row in apex? Some of our records can have more than 2000 characters in it.
Can there be any issue to export a report to excel or pdf or any other format? Can it push required from external source? Can push/pull record be automated?
Please advise on these questions if any one is working on apex extensively.
Reports are limited to LESS than 500 columns.. To be honest, why would you want to create a report with that many columns? You could not export or even print something like that out...
Other questions:
Fetch with joins: If you can write a query returning the data, you should be able to build a report for management team..
Limit on characters in row: Not really, you can display clobs if needed or strings that are longer than 2000.. Again it what is acceptable for viewing by a carbon based unit and the limit I believe of less than 200 columns for a report..
Issue to export to PDF or CSV: CSV export is built in for reports, PDF export requires a print engine or APEX Listener installed to generate FOP style PDF's.
Do not understand the question in regards to "Push Required from External Source" and "Push/Pull record be automated"..
Thank you,

I can't install itunes for windows 7 to 64bit i tried several times and at the end show up this...
"apple application support was not found apple application is required to run ituneshelper please un istall itunes then install itunes again erro 2" ..so what it does mean? ..can somebody help me for this please? thanksLet's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.) -
When I try to access Itunes Icon on my dell computer I get an Apple application support was not found. Apple application support required to run Itunes, and say uninstall itunes, then install itunes again. It used to work. What do I do?
I took the time to research it and come across a couple of people who experienced the same trouble and so I listed some of there steps(with Credits) and some people said that they worked.

OK, this worked for me:( Original Post by r0tt3n4pp13)
1. Save iTunes install file to your desktop.
2. Disconnect from internet.
3. Disable Firewall/Security software.
4. Run install. Note that it installs Application Support and a bunch of other software this time.
5. Run iTunes.
6. Enable Firewall/Security software.
7. Reconnect to internet.
8. Download Watchmen Director's Cut post haste.
OR!
(Original post by Cr4z33)
1. Download and install WinRAR.
2. Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe icon and choose "Open with WinRAR".
3. Once the EXE is opened in WinRAR, double-click AppleApplicationSupport.msi and when the installer window is open choose "Repair".
4. Done! You can now run iTunes normally. -

when i try to open itunes on windows keeps saying apple application is required to run itunes error 2 windows error 2
You could try downloading and installing 7-Zip (free) and downloading a fresh copy of the iTunes installer, unpack the installer into its components using 7-Zip then try a standalone install of AppleApplicationSupport. It may still fail to install but if so you may get useful error messages as to why not.

The Application Store requires that you answer 3 questions for future verification. The questions offered are questions that I at least have no clear answer to. What was the first film you saw? and the like. You can say Not now, but then nothong happens and you are back to where you started. Is there a way to proceed with downloading apps without answering these stupid questions?
I refuse to believe that Apple as an organisation designed these questions - must have been somebody else. This is Apple's security feature, you answer the questions or you stop using the account and buy Mac apps elsewhere. Do a search on Secure Notes in the keychain and answer the questions with nonsense answers and store them in a Secure Note for future reference.

Need end user application system requirements
I am writing a proposal for developing an end user DLL or standalone application, using LabVIEW 7 and IMAQ vision. I need to paste in an electronic copy of a description, preferably from NI itself, of what system the user will need, including RAM and disk space requirements, operating system, etc. The software would be developed and tested only on a Windows 2000 machine. This electronic document would be something like the release notes from the LabVIEW Application Builder. Got a URL or something to send by email?
The Release Notes say:
"When you deploy an application you build, the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine requires a minimum of 64 MB of RAM and a screen resolution of 800 × 600 pixels for applications that require a screen, but National Instruments recommends 256 MB of RAM and a screen resolution of 1,024 × 768 pixels."
And on Windows, "The LabVIEW Run-Time Engine requires at least 25 MB of disk space, but National Instruments recommends 155 MB of disk space if you install the default drivers from the National Instruments Device Drivers CD."
If we need to add more details on this issue, can you please email your feedback to [email protected] so we can address it in a future version of LabVIEW?
Thanks!

One or more applications/services require you to verify your Blackberry ID
About once a day, I get a notification, saying: "One or more applications/services require you to verify your Blackberry ID" There are two problems with this message: It does not tell you which application, could be BBM, Blackberry Protect, Blackberry World, anythingIf a user does not want a Blackberry ID, it should be possible to say "Never notify me again". It is very annoying for users without Blackberry ID to get this notification. Especially when you are in "Work Space only" mode, this notification is not wanted. This is an issue with notifications in general, you should be able to switch them off. For example, I don't want to get notified every time the device goes to Battery Saver mode. A "Never notify me again about this issue" option should be implemented.

@johnthurstonI don't want to have to use gasoline for my car, but since it is required, I'm gonna get red lights and warning messages. Same with the BBID, it is required now for these devices. While you may not want to use a BBID, you will get alerted, and without such BlackBerry Protect is not connected as well as other BlackBerry services. But, it is your choice of course. The analogy doesn't quite work. My Blackberry is meeting all of my business needs without a BBID. This is more like my car is continually hassling me about an OnStar subscription I don't want or need. I find it a little hard to fathom that there is no way, other than registering another account for another service I don't need, to make this thing shut up. I'm disappointed that this seems to be the case, but I appreciate you taking the time to respond. -
I have an ipad 64GB (first generation) and could not do upgrades on it. What can i do and how can you help? I need to dowload some business applications but requires 6.0 iOS and up but I have 5.1.1. iOS. please help
iOS 5.1.1 is the last version an iPad 1 can run. If you need to run iOS 6 or later, you'll need a newer iPad.

OFT- Recording Application which require User Authentication
hi,
I have recorded the application which requires user authentication and once the recording has been done i have logout from the application. and now if i playback the script ,then again it will playback from the login page.
So according to my opinion,it should skip the login page at the time of playback the script. But it is not. So what would be the reason for that?Actually i have a confusion regarding this note given in the "OFTFunctionalTestingUserGuide pdf"
"If you record a Visual Script with a login Web page (not a popup dialog box), which may not reappear when you revisit the site due a session cookie, Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications recognizes the cookie and skips the login page during playback. Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications logs a message indicating the
login page was skipped and playback continues with the next page."
If i m not wrong, when we record the process of visiting the pages on the site from login to log out from the site.
and when we run the playback scirpt it should be not start from the login page as per the above mentioned note.
Could u please help me to understand the fact given on the note.
Thanks

MDB/JRun: "Application authentication required. Incorrect method call."
Hi people!
I am using a message-driven EJB listening on a queue.
Everytime a start the server, the server deploys the enterprise
application with the MDB and the queue, and then gives this error
message:
"Application authentication required. Incorrect method call."
What am I missing?
Here are more details: The server is in fact CFMX6.1 in
standalone installation and I am using the hidden JRun inside it.
Here is an extract of ejb-jar.xml:

What am I doing wrong? I should add that the queue and the
MDB actually work. I just want to get rid of the error message.
I have found out that the error message comes from the class
jrun.jms.wrapper.enterprise.JRunConnectionFactoryWrapper, method
createQueueConnection, when instance variable m_useContainerAuth is
false. When i login with the password and username from my custom authentication provider, my login module check ok, but logon form still there.
