Application shows up on iTune but not on ipod touch

I downloaded Pandora from Apps Store and it shows up in my Apps. After I dragged it to my device and hit the Apply button I can still see it on the iTune. However it is not really loaded into my iPod because I can not see Pandora on my ipod touch. I tried delete the application and reinstall, but it still does not work.
I have a 4th generation ipod touch. The ipod software is up to date (v4.3.5). My iTune is 10.3.1.55.
Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you, waterfish and IIIaass for those useful tips. However updating iTunes and iOS does not solve the issue. I still can not find Pandroa with Spotlight search. Installing directly from iPod does not work either. The App store on iPod doesn't have the "Install" button. That indicates that the system thinks the application is installed, but user can not find it. Do I need to reset the iPod and reinstall everything (music, contacts, email, photos, apps...)?

  • TV shows appear in iTunes but not in iPod

I have a 5G iPod video running on a HP with Windows XP. I have purchased several TV shows form iTunes and they show up in my iTunes library but not all of the episodes transfer to my iPod. My iPod is set to automatically sync with my library, but some of the the TV episodes still do not transfer. They are all checked and should transfer automatically. Also, if I select the missing shows and drag and drop them from the library into my iPod, they transfer. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks for any help you can give me!

You may have set your iPod to sync only unwatched episodes.
Connect your iPod, then when the summary screen appears click on the TV shows tab.
Change the preference to what suits you best.

  • Files showing up on iTunes, but not in iPod

So a few days back, my iPod acted up and restored itself, sort of. Well, my iPod synced itself and added the music files from my library. So now when I look at my iPod files through my iTunes, the files show up grey and i can't play them yet they're still showing up. when i go into my ipod to find them, they aren't in there at all. anybody know what's going on?

Typo correction on my topic post: I realized the only music I could see in my library was what was updated off of my new laptop.

  • Music appears in iTunes, but not on ipod touch itself

Hi. My son got a new ipod touch about 2 weeks ago. We've set it up to automatically sync a particular folder (so he doesn't have to get ALL the music on our iTunes).
Tonight we added a few songs to his folder in iTunes and synced the ipod. In iTunes, when we click on the ipod icon and check, the songs appear in his folder, so they appear to have been transferred. However, when we eject and look in the ipod itself, the songs do not appear to be there. What makes the weirder is that when we reconnect the ipod to the computer and click on its icon in iTunes, the songs appear to be there after all.
Any thoughts as to what's going on and how to fix it? I have done a hard reset and full restore on the ipod touch; no change. I have not yet atempted to simply manually add each song (that just occurred to me).
    Thoughts?
    Thanks, Paul

Okay, figured out how to get around this. I have restrictions set to "Clean" on the ipod touch. The songs in question are "Clean" versions of, I assume, otherwise explicit songs. However, the restrictions don't seem to recognize that and are blocking them. When I change the restrictions setting on the ipod touch to "Explicit", the songs are accessible on the device.
On the computer itself, I have parental restrictions in place to prevent "explicit" songs from being downloaded, and these "clean" versions passed that bar, but apparently not for the ipod software. What's with this inconsistency? Is this a glitch? To whom should I report it? Isn't part of the point of those sanitized versions that they should be playable on devices with parental restrictions set?

  • My "recently added" playist appears in my Itunes but NOT my Ipod touch

I have not changed any of my setting and my "recently added" playist will not appear on my Ipod even though I have re-synched it. Any thoughts on how to get it back on the Ipod?

  • Tv shows play in iTunes but not on iPod.

iPod and PowerBook software all up to date. Tv shows play fine in iTunes. When I try to play them on the iPod, the screen goes dark and a "play button" sysmbol appears (a triangle pointing to the right, in the upper left corner). Nothing happens and it quits trying after a few moment.
I emailed support and heard nothing back. These are my first iTunes store purchases and I'm not impressed. Bought a whole season of a show and all the episodes do this.
    Grr.

  • The apps appears to be sync on itunes but not in ipod touch 4g

I am trying to sync apps from itunes. The apps shows as synced on itnues but it does not show in itouch 4g and the apps that i downloade before closes quickly.what can i do to fix this?

No, they're not. I just checked again. They're completely mixed. For instance it starts with three songs from Artist A, then there's a handful from Artist E, then a couple from Artist N, then a couple from Artist A again! Two more from Artist S, then another handful from Artist N. Followed by another from Artist E.
I've gone through the whole thing making sure there are no spaces in the info that I may have missed that could cause them to seperate, and there were none.

If it's an Audiobook, then it's probably in the Audiobook section of your iPhone. Have you set your iTunes to Sync Audiobooks with your iPhone?
Alternatively, if the Audiobook was imported into your iTunes Library as as Music, then it's going to be in the Music section of your iPhone. If so, then it will be in the Music section of your iTunes Library. To move it to the Audiobooks section, select it in the Library and choose File/Get Info/Options>Media Kind where you can change it.
You can change it to a Podcast, but since something is only a Podcast if it is delivered to your iTunes as a Podcast download (which is a process for delivering files without you having to go and find them), then your audiobook is not a Podcast and you may forget (in the future) how you obtained the book in the first place

After updating iTunes this week Windows 8 recognizes the iPod but does not offer an option to open with iTunes. iTunes does not recognize iPod Touch. Have followed all the steps but without success. Is there a solution with iTunes?

I followed all the instructions on the suggested page. Many files in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\ and C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\ could not be deleted. Message said ""Cannot delete files: It is being used by another person or program"' but could not find iPodService.exe in task manager (also, the "Cannont delete ... " did not mention iPodService.exe).
Deleted all that I could. Reinstalled iTunes. Still same result. iTunes and computer both recognize my old iPod. Only the computer recognizes iPod Touch.

  • Voice Memos show up in iTunes but not on iPhone 4

When I plug my iphone into my MBP, I can see all my Voice Memos in the list of things on my device in iTunes. And, I have a Voice Memos playlist in iTunes that appears to be complete.
However, in the Voice Memos app on my phone, I only have one memo, and the playlist doesn't show up at all in my Music app. Based on what I'm seeing in iTunes, the voice memos are there on my phone somewhere, but I can't find them, and I can't figure how to move the playlist from itunes back onto my phone.
I do use iMatch, and it looks like the Voice Memos playlist doesn't sync with iMatch. That may be part of the problem. But, I don't want to lose some of these memos - precious moments from the lives of my children. Help!

    Hi Itarbox,
I've been experiencing about the same issue : I had a list of Voices Memos shown in iTunes that didn't appeared on my iPhone 4S. Here is what I did to solve the problem :
I strongly suggest you perform a backup before doing this, just in case.
1st : Get back those "lost" Voices Memos from the backup file
I've downloaded "iBackup Bot for iTunes", open the last backup, select the files I want to get back and "export" them to a local folder. Those are mp4 files that can easily be opened with iTunes or Media Player.
this is the tricky part, which took me about 4-5 hours of painful research, trial and error :
2nd : Get rid of the "erroneous" files that still appear within iTunes, but not on the iPhone
I've downloaded "iExplorer", opened it with my iPhone plugged in (it reads the iPhone database). Then, I right clicked on the folder iPhone > Media > Recordings and deleted the whole folder. The software warns that this move is irreversible, click ok. Now close iExplorer, unplug the iPhone and open iTunes. When iTunes is loaded, plug in the iPhone and sync. The erroneous files are now gone!
    Hope this helps!
