Application Specific Buttons on my Logitech mouse do now works on Photoshop CC 2014

Hi there,
Just updated to Photoshop CC 2014.
I have Logitech MX 1100 mouse with some nice additional buttons that I used in previous versions of photoshop. I adjusted these buttons in SetPoint.
After I updated to PS CC 2014 the buttons just stopped working. They worked just a 5 mins ago when I was using Photoshop CC.  (I use Latest Photoshop version, Latest Windows 8.1 version, Have Wacom tablet - latest drivers)
Buttons also do not work in illustrator CC 2014, but surprisingly works on inDesign CC 2014.
(Mapped functions on same buttons but on different applications, buttons worked good.)
I used to use these buttons and I'm very frustrated I cannot. Please help.
Thanks!
SK

Thanks for your reply, Chris Cox. I've checked the Windows System Event Log and here are the details:
Details (Tab) of same error (Photoshop)
I noticed since Jan 5, 2015, Photoshop has crashed a lot. I run Adobe Illustrator with it but it doesn't give the same errors. Other applications run fine too, so I'm not sure if it as you mentioned that it is the "system" that is crashing so often.
(You seem to have suggested a video card upgrade. I will work on that next. Thanks)
I hope you or anyone who can, help me with this problem with Photoshop and the issue with my account in Creative Cloud.
Looking forward to your help. Thank you.

  • Application specific button on FPM toolbar to call action triggered in view

    Hello,
    In the content area of my FPM is an ALV with some buttons, e.g. clicking one of the button opens up certain ALV column for editing (for simplicity, I omit the details besides simply enable the columns).
    With FPM, I want the button to be placed in the toolbar as a application specific button. How do I achieve the same functionality e.g. from PROCESS_EVENT method calling an action (to open up certain ALV column for editing) via the application specific button placed on the toolbar communicating with the action/method found in the view controller ? Thank you.
    Regards
    Kir Chern

    Hi Arvind,
    I tried as follows :
    - Create an event in the component controller, say 'MA'
    - Within PROCESS_EVENT, raise the event as follows :
      data : lo_fpm type ref to if_fpm,
             lo_event type ref to cl_fpm_event.
      create object lo_event
         exporting
            iv_event_id = 'MA'.
       lo_fpm = cl_fpm_factory=>get_instance( ).
       lo_fpm->raise_event( io_event = lo_event ).
    - In the view controller, create an event handler which subscribe to the event, MA of the component controller.
    However, the code in the event handler is never executed despite the event being raised. Not sure how FPM event flow works here.
    Can anyone advise ? Thank you.

  • Logitech mouse buttons not working in photoshop cc 2014

    logitech mouse buttons not working in photoshop cc 2014 winds 8.1. Is this a common problem?
    I have updated the latest drivers and have a few buttons programmed with keyboard shortcuts that used to work in previous versions of Photoshop but don't work now.
    Scrolling with mouse in bridge stopped working in cc butI see it is now working.
    any ideas?

    Many Photoshop extensions are not compatible with Photoshop CC 2014 for Adobe removed support for Flash Panels in CC 2014. Many extensions panels are flash based.  Check with the developer to see if their blendmein extension works with CC 2014.
    Adobe does not maintain Photoshop so it backward compatible with prior versions of Photoshop.  This brakes things like action scripts plugins extensions etc. Keep old version of Photoshop installed....

  • Logitech mouse wheel stopped working

    Hello,
    I had this mouse for a long time. It's a Logitech Cordless Optical mouse connected to a Linksys KVM (I share with 4 different computers). Last week the mouse scroll wheel stooped working. I tried another Logitech mouse (G9) to directly to the USB of my Mac and the mouse wheel scrolls fine.
    Now the problem's the old mouse wheel works fine on my other computers. I tried turning the KVM off, resetting the IR unit, and of course rebooting my mac. Nothing worked. The odd thing is, if I connect the old mouse directly to the Mac, it works OK.
    I really hate the G9. I'd rather stick with my current mouse, but I need the scroll wheel. Any ideas?

    Your profile lists one of the computers as "Hackintosh." Because OS X is licensed for use only with Apple branded computers & the Discussions Terms of Use prohibit discussing illegal uses of software, & equally importantly because we have no idea of how running a hacked version of OS X on non-Apple hardware might be a part of your problem, we cannot help you.
    Sorry.

  • The back and forward buttons on Logitech mouse don't work

    My logitech performance MX back and forward buttons don't work. I tried in safe mode and they still don't work. I tried creating a custom shortcut in logitech setpoint and that didn't work either. I tried using the native mouse driver and not logitech. No luck.
    I really like this functionality. Is there a way to enable these buttons?

    Hi mike,
    i'm not sure if this will help but how about this add-on called "Vimperator". It is easy to use and works like vim. (Try this as an alternate till we figure out the problem) :)
    Hope that helped.

  • Logitech mouse software not working

    Hey guys I just updated my osx to 10.7.1, and now My logitech control center software doens't seem to be working. I have a VX revolution mouse and I downloaded the latest software they have on logitech's website. When I open it up however, it gives me a screen where I can customize my mouse, but it doesnt let me do anything. Any ideas?
    When ever click in that right window, nothing happens.

    Yes, that's the page.
    Do you have any other mouse-control software, like Steermouse?  They will fight for control.
    When there's no specific problem, I always run maintenance and cache-clearing routines.  Use Cocktail, Onyx, Lion Cache Cleaner.  Often, the problems go away after these routines.
    I also rebuild my disk directory with Disk Warrior or Tech Tool Pro 6.  You could also check your disk with Disk Utility.
    In sum, from my experience, there's no inherent problem running the Logitech software (3.4) under Lion.  I have had no problems whatsoever. So you have some sort of conflict with something in your system, or a corrupted file in a cache, or a glitch in your disk directory—these general maintenance and cache-clearing routines will improve the general health of your disk and system and should get you back on track with Logitech.

  • Logitech Mouse Snow Leopard 10.6.1 Experience

    I have a Logitech MX Revolution mouse and after updating to 10.6 & 10.6.1 only the basic two buttons worked. This is an awesome mouse so it was frustrating. But did an internet search found fix (Work Around). Logitech does not have an update for 10.6 yet but this work around will get you going until then. I give credit to Megan Lavey from Sept 1, 09:
    Logitech has not updated its drivers -- usually bundled with its Logitech Control Center application -- for Snow Leopard yet, and an upgrade to the software will take some time, Alan reports. In the meantime, you can work around this issue by doing the following:
    Re-download Logitech Control Center 3.0
    ( http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/494/3129&cl=us,en) if you do not still have the installation package on your machine.
    Unzip the download, then right-click on the installer package. Select "Show All Contents."
    Navigate through the package to the Contents folder, then the Resources folder. There, you'll find the Logitech Control Center.mkpg. Double-click on it and install it.
    Once your system has rebooted, you'll find that you regain full access to customizing your Logitech mouse (and it works for keyboards as well.) It even carried over all of my customized keyboard button settings from Leopard, so you shouldn't have to go through much hassle to reconfigure your equipment. The only thing I had to readjust was the scroll speed on my mouse.
    If you have Exposé as one of your mouse/keyboard button settings, copy (do not move) the Expose.app file from /Applications/Utilities to the /Applications folder. Then Exposé will work properly again.

    I wonder if you would be better creating an 'alias' by dragging Exposé.app with the Command & alt keys held down. It would mean any software updates to Exposé will be provided to Logitech Control Center (LCC).
    An alternative to LCC is ControllerMate. I switched to it when Logitech were using 'Application Enhancer' hacks for the LCC driver, it seems Logitech have stopped doing that nasty hack now, but ControllerMate & SteerMouse are alternative drivers.

  • F9 and F10 keys and my Logitech Mouse

    I've been using the wireless Logitech Mouse with my iMac G5 and have got all my buttons set juuuuuust the way I like them. I recently got the PB G4 17" and I am trying to set my mouse buttons like my iMac G5. I having problems with the F9 and F10 keys ( all windows and application windows ) When I press them the keyboard illumination thingy pops up. If I look in keyboard shortcuts in system preferences F9 and F10 are set for all windows and app. windows?? two actions for the same buttons??

    To use the F9 and F10 keys to control Exposé, you need to do one of two things:
    - Press the fn key with F9 and/or F10
    - Go to System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard and check the box 'Use F1-F12 keys to control software features' and use the fn key with F9 and/or F10 to control the keyboard backlighting. If you check that box, then Exposé will behave in the same way it does on your iMac wrt your mouse buttons.

    Thanks

    I've kinda figured it out, by using the if action. First I changed the right-mousebutton keybinding in the "client" context in rc.conf to the following:
    <mousebind button="Right" action="Press">
    <action name="if">
    <title>*background*</title>
    <then>
    <action name="ShowMenu">
    <menu>root-menu</menu>
    </action>
    </then>
    <else>
    <action name="Focus"/>
    <action name="Raise"/>
    </else>
    </action>
    </mousebind>
    The actions between the <else> tags are the default actions of the right mouse button in the client context.
    Then I had to change the window title of the urxvt terminal to something including background. Which was a lot harder (didn't get all the .bashrc syntax) but I by accident stumbled on something resembling a solution. By running the urxvt terminal with "urxvt -name urxvt_background -tn urxvt" it's window title got set to "urxvt_background".
    And now it works. (Still got to figure out if i want to do the same with the middle mouse button, the client-list-combined-menu is convenient, but so is using paste.)

  • Please help me! showInputDialog with specific Buttons

    Hi all,
    I'm from Germany and have some trouble with the JOptionPane package.
    Everything works fine, but I have a german operationsystem and i'm writing an 1.4 application in english.
    If I use a Optiondialog i can create my own buttontexts.
    String[] options = { "Yes", "No" };
    int n = JOptionPane.showOptionDialog(StartScreen.frame,
    "Do you really want to quit ?", // Fragetext
    "Are you sure ?", // Titel
    JOptionPane.YES_NO_OPTION, JOptionPane.QUESTION_MESSAGE, // Icon
    null, options, options[0]);
    if (n == JOptionPane.YES_OPTION) {
    Transfer.closeConnection();
    System.exit(0);
    That works, but here I see the german buttons, how can I choose specific Buttons here?
    String response = (String) JOptionPane.showInputDialog(
              contentpane, // parent
              "Who is your favorite chipmunk?", // message
              "Pick a Chipmunk", // dialog title
              JOptionPane.QUESTION_MESSAGE, // icon type
              null, // no explicit icon
              new String[] {                     // choices
                   "Alvin", "Simon", "Theodore"
              "Alvin"); // default choice
    Hope anyone can help me.
    Thanks

    in your main method :
    Locale.setDefault(Locale.UK);
    Then all default buttons will show in english.

  • Application-specific print settings

    I use my iMac in my retail business for Point of Sale. I run credit cards through a browser-based processor, and I use Safari for that. I also use the iMac for everything else you need to do running a business, and so I've got three printers hooked up: a receipt printer, a label printer for price tags, and a laser printer.
    Right now I have to change the paper size every time I print a credit card receipt from Safari (30-50 times per 8-hour day). It's not an option to set the label printer AND its paper size in the global print defaults (that is, when I set the default printer in System Preferences, it doesn't give me the paper size option, 72mm x 180mm. I only get that option in the application print dialog.)
    My other problem is that having the default printer set as the label printer (since it gets used most consistently through the day) is that anytime I want to print anything else, I've got to change printers. And that's not infrequent, because I print 10-20 class schedules per day on the laser printer.
    Is there any way to specify a print default that is application-specific? That is, anytime I click "print" in Safari, I get the label printer automatically, but anytime I click "print" in Preview, I get the Laser printer automatically? I'm flummoxed.
    I've been looking at writing a script in AppleScript, is that the way to go? I tried making a workflow in Automator this morning, but it was slow and cumbersome, and no different than doing the clicking myself.
    Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

    Hi Ewa,
    You could change owner firstly as below steps:
    1. Open the registry editor to the following key - HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\{316CDED5-E4AE-4B15-9113-7055D84DCC97}.
    2. Change the permissions on the key itself by right-clicking on the {316CDED5-E4AE-4B15-9113-7055D84DCC97} key, and selecting "permissions".
    3. This will open up a permissions dialog box. Click the "Advanced" button.
    4. The key is owned by trustedinstaller. This needs to change before we continue, so click the "Change" link.
    5. Assuming the account you're using is part of the Administrators group, just type in "Administrators" in the box and click the "OK" button.
    6. Click the "Apply" button, then click the "OK" buttons until the permissions dialog window closes.
    7. You will need to right-click the registry key again (from step 2) and select "Permissions" again from the list.
    8. With "Administrators" highlighted, click to place a check into the "Full Control"/"Allow" box.
    9. Click the "Apply" button, then click "OK" again until the permissions dialog window closes.
    After done, run dcomcnfg as Administrator, you would see as below, continue the steps in the previous reply we discussed.
