Application Status Report_App Advisor

Hi Team,
We would like to know what exactly the Previous,Current and average values refer to in Application Status Report.
Please verify the below screenshot for reference.

Here is the description of Application Status report that I got from
here:
"This report provides daily, weekly and monthly application status summaries. It shows major application activity and resource utilization KPI for a selected period in comparison to a dynamic baseline of previous periods.  For applications that
experience problems during a selected report period, it provides drilldown to a detailed timeline graph of problem events for the selected period. This report also highlights new problems for the period and the most critical problem for the period."
So, Previous/Current/Average is related to the selected "Period". If you selected a "week", then you see Previous week data, Current week data and average.

    You could open the report with the SQL Report Builder. In Report Builder you can find where the data from and the data structure.

  • How to determin who/what set application status "UNAVAILABLE"?

    Hello Experts,
    I've had users reporting that Application is unavailable during normal business hours... Surely, when I've received those reports it was back to normal. Is it being logged anywhere who (user) or what (process) set an application status "UNAVALIABLE"?
    From what I can tell, the only job was running during that time was a Data Auditing job (created by Manage Data Audit option).
    I have also noticed that from time to time (when Auditing job is running) I receive the following error message trying to access Manage Data Audit:
    "Job name :  http://outlooksoft.kaplaninc.com/osoft/Admin/AuditAdmin.aspx
    Detail       :  No accessible overloaded LogHandler.WriteLog can be called without a narrowing conversion. "
    Eventually, the error goes away and I can access Data Audit page.

    Audit is the one which can provide you the information what process was putting the appset offline.
    You have to be aware that only the Admin processes are able to put the appset offline. And the admin processes are refering to entire appset not only for one application.
    So usually this happen when an administrator was creating a copy of application or it is playing into another application just for test.
    The bad thing it is that admin actions into that application is disturbing also the users using the applications from the same appset.
    That's the reason because this should not happen into production environment.
    Any Admin process for any application from an appset :
    Process dimension,
    Modify Application.
    Full Optimize,
    can make the appset to be offline.
    So my expectation is that actually nobody is doing something wrong into your current application but you have an admin users doing tests into an application from the same appset and this is creating the application to be sometimes offline.

  • ISE 3315 show application status ise taking so long

    Hi,
    I have a brand new ISE 3315 appliance  running 1.1.1.268 , whenver I try to issue the command "show application status ise" , it takes so long time before it shows the output ..the same when I try to start or stop the application ..
    I would like to know if the NTP reachability can cause this kind of behavior .. I'm still testing the appliance in the lab , and I have no NTP server , but I have created local DNS server on a router.
    any ideas !

    The Execute Network Device Command diagnostic tool allows you to run the show command on any network device. The results are exactly what you would see on a console, and can be used to identify problems in the configuration of the device. You can use it when you suspect that the configuration is wrong, you want to validate it.
    Please make sure that you have performed these steps:
    Step 1 Choose Operations > Troubleshoot > Diagnostic Tools > General Tools > Execute Network Device Command.
    Step 2 Enter the information in the appropriate fields.
    Step 3 Click Run to execute the command on the specified network device.
    Step 4 Click User Input Required, and modify the fields as necessary.
    Step 5 Click Submit to run the command on the network device, and view the output.

    We have a requirement wherein we wanted to manage the start and stop of web application without using the weblogic server console.
    If I stop the web application from the console it shows the web application status as unavailable. I want to retrieve the status of the web application that is shown in the console from a command line utility or thru a java program.
    Any sample program or a command line utility will be very very helpful.
    Waiting for your earlier response. I understand from other source of information that WLST is the way to go. If I can get some source code for the same will be REALLY appreciated.

    I'm facing some problem with the application.
    To trace out this problem is there any way to find out.
    How the table is accessing from the database table while connecting the application.
    Assume that you are connecting application to database that time
    what its happending i mean which table and what its doing to with that table how its doing like inserting some values or selecting which tables. To find out this status is there any way to like trace log some thing. If you can help me on above matter will be good.

    You could use the oracle dynamic views to see what is happening in the database, when the application is running. I would suggest to start with V$SESSION and V$SQLAREA to find out what SQL statement is being processed.

  • Application Status is IMPLICIT_STOPPED

    I am troubleshooting getting my Portal application to start, and in Netweaver Administrator i can see that the folllowing applications:
    sap.com/com.sap.portal.fpn.accessservice
    sap.com/pcd_bizc_authoring
    sap.com/pcui_gp~xssfpm
    sap.com/pcui_gp~xssutils
    sap.com/sap.comtckmccoll.room.wsdepl
    sap.com/spider_search
    in System Management -> Administration -> Applications and on the "Status Tab" show that they are "IMPLICIT_STOPPED"
    The SAP help files

    tell me that a application will be IMPLICIT_STOPPED if and when a "strong" referenced application is unavailable...
    On the "References Tab", I get a list of referenced library, interface, service and applications but no indication of the status of those items.
    How can i determine the root cause of this applications being "IMPLICIT_STOPPED" ???
    Any Ideas?

    Problem is resolved...
    1) Stop Java
    2) Delete usr/sap/<sid>/<instance>/j2ee/cluster/server0/apps/sap.com/irj
    3) Restart jave
    Deleted folder gets rebuilt from database and works....
    Added info:
    "using Visual Admin -> instance -> server -> services ->
    jdbc connector -> click on the datasource and in the right frame it
    shows all the aliases. You remove and recreate the alias EP_PCD."
    was also suggested and tried before the above solution and "may" have assisted in the solution?
    Not sure what caused the issue but this solution seemed to resolve it

    In the last query, the status field would be either I, N or S.
    I would mean it is installed
    N - Not Installed
    S - Shared

  • Application status in Software Center "installing" for hours

    Hello,
    I have sequenced SPSS, application installs on the client and works but... in the Software Center remains status "installing" for hours.
    Once the status changes to installed, no errors in aapenforce.log.
     CAppV5XHandler::InstallApp() completed successfully.
    I have tried many times, App-v 5 and App-v 5 SP2. The same problem so it is application doing somenthing apparently.
    How to troubleshoot this?
    Where to look ?

    When I run msiexec on the sequencer I do generate the log file but on the installation on the sequencer runs perfect. Also the log file contains no errors.
    The problem is, when I install appv from the Software Center, which in fact is a PS command  "Mount-AppvClientPackage", I do not issue any msiexec command at this time and I cannot generate the msi log file.
    So, I wonder in which logfile can I see what is going on in the meantime...
    In this example it took one hour...while application itself was installed within a minute and you could just open it and use it. See the logfile..
