Application to Password Protect applications?

I have a Hotmail application on my phone which automatically when you click on it logs straight in and shows your email (not very private).
I have a password on the phone to prevent access but thats annoying as I have to put it in every time i wanna use the phone.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a application "apple" actually supports via non modded/cracked phones that allows you to set a password on specific applications to prevent you opening them without a password?

So if I understand you properly, I need to create EOs for all my list of values (which are based on views of Oracle apps tables) and base my VO on those EOs. And then I setup associations between these EOs and the Item EO. Then I include the these EOs in my Items VO and add the description attributes to my list of attributes. I had done this for the list of users, but for the views of Oracle I had just created read only VO. Sounds like that won't work if I want to display the description. I know what to do - I guess I was hoping there was a way to use the read only VO.

Help password protecting a desktop application

Hey guys I'm creating an application that I need to password protect. I've already created a JFrame with components and action listeners where a user can enter a password (twice to make sure they match) and a username. When my application begins the first thing the user sees are these three fields with instructions prompting them to register. Is there a way to encrypt this information and store it securely? Does anyone have any tips as to good practices when creating a secure application?

database? Why not?
On a serious note, where else would you like to store passwords? I suppose a text file is an option - although (imho) its only suitable for a small data structure (small number users).
What are the benefits? What are the benefits of using database over text files?
Ease of use, would be my first argument!

How can I password protect applications on my 3GS? For example, in notes I sychronised my notes from Outlook, and would like to password protect the content and / or the application.

Sorry, can't be done for Notes. You can only protect the phone itself via Settings > Passcode Lock or a few applications under Settings > General > Restrictions.

You could make Mail ask for a password before fetching new mail or sending mail by altering your keychain preferences. Either prevent Mail from storing your email password in the keychain or let it do that but make sure that your keychain has a different password than your user account, is not set to automatically unlock on login and locks after a very short idle time.
If you have an imap account and leave your messages on the server, this effectively prevents access to your mail without a password. If you use pop and/or download messages to you local folders, though, anything already downloaded will be accessible without a password.

Some apps allow you to do this with documents, photos, and videos but it is not possible to do with apps. Your best and only solution is to use the phone passcode.

Password Protect Applications

Is there a way i can do this? I want to password protect my messages app basically, or make it ask me for a pin so that i can access the application to stop other people viewing it, does anyone know if there's a feature within the OS that allows this or if not can anyone recommend an application that will allow me to do this?

There are no applications that can do this, and most likely there won't be any as Apple is highly unlikely to let third party apps access the API's necessary to do what you want.

Password protect iTunes application to prevent changes?

Hi all,
I am looking to increase my ITUNES security on my home PC to prevent changes in ITUNES match or my music being removed from icloud by mistake by others when they use this PC or it is stolen etc.
I.E when i open the itunes application, it will prompts/ask me for a password before proceeding further.
I have home sharing enabled and i dont want to interfer or restrict this, however sometimes on my laptop other access itunes and on occassions have caused music in the cloud to be deleted! Doesnt help when i have disposed of the original cd's and its not avaiable via the itunes store.
Any ideas/comments would be grealty appreciated to help me protect?
I did go to edit/prefercnes and ticked the "require password" button in home sharing, but affects home sharing only, does not prompt me for password on my PC.

You can backup your library right now. You can send the password protection idea to iTunes Feedback, but I doubt it would ever be implemented.
Don't dispose of your original CDs. If you sell or give them away then you should also delete the tracks that you ripped from them.

I know you can password protect with a screensaver, is that the only way?

That is simply because you have checked an option to remember the password. Open Mail preferences, click on the Accounts icon in the toolbar. In the dialog under your username you should see your password (not displayed.) Remove the password entry. From now on Mail will prompt for a password before attempting to fetch mail. This does not mask the Inbox in any way but it does prevent anyone from getting new mail without a password. There is no direct way to actually password protect the entire Inbox.
I'm still not clear as to why you need to do this or what specifically you want to accomplish. I don't know if simply logging out of your account when you aren't by the computer would not satisfy your security need or requiring a password to wake up the computer via the screensaver. Maybe you could explain things more to us.

Now i am able to create PDF with Digital signature. But We want to assign password protection too..and problem is once we fix Digital signature we can't change security.
My problem is to pass password at the time of opening PDF for embedding signature. Password window should not prompt to the user while running VBA application.
Can you please help me to pass password on fly when file prompt password while opening PDF file. As file need to be opened at the time of fixing signature using sdk javascript code.

Correct, you need to encrypt then sign.
Unfortunately, there is no way to pass a password for opening.

How can I login to a site that is .htaccess password protected with java

Forgive me if this is a dumb question. I am have never done this before and haven't been able to find out how to do this. I want to send some xml (passportRequest) to a server that is listening. The hard part is this server is password protected with htaccess. I have the username and password and I tried adding it to the url (ie https://user:password@server....) but not luck. I read somewhere that I can't do that anymore...is that right? I tried the code below but no luck there either. Any of you guys have any tutorials you could point me to or suggestions? Thanks!

I am trying to create a form to capture leads for my new lead capture website. I have a bankruptcy business and would like another, new website that I can capture bankruptcy leads from a form. A lead would, of course, be someone who comes to my site and is interested in contacting with an attorney to schedule a free consultation by filling out an online form - "name, state, county, debts, etc.)
What I would like to do is set up a nationwide site and sell, refer, give, trade? leads from other states to other local attorneys.
So, my question is, could I set up a form with FormsCentral that I could integrate with a password protected section of my website that the other lawyers could login to in order to check form results? Could it be set so many different users (ie lawyers advertising on my site) could login to check results for their personalized form (for example lawyer A in State A can log into his own private page to check results from Form A, lawyer B in State B can login to a private page to check results from form B and so on and so forth...) Would I need a developer to code this application? Any help would be appreciated.
Obviously this project was a larger than I expected.

We likely wouldn't be a good fit for this. You'll likely have to build a custom application (developer doing coding) to support your use case.
