Applications disappeared after iTunes reinstall

I just re-installed iTunes on a new computer. Everything in iTunes appears complete, as before, but when I connected my iPhone, all my applications were erased. They all show in iTunes under "Library - Applications", but not on the phone. How can I restore them?

Make sure there is a check for syncing in the Applications tab.
Also you can try reauthorizing your computer.
In iTunes, go to the Store menu
Select "Deauthorize Computer"
Enter your Apple ID and password then click the Deauthorize button
Go back to the Store menu
Select "Authorize Computer"
Enter your Apple ID and password then click the Authorize button.

Application disappeared after sync'ing iPhone to iTunes

I rarely sync my iPhone with iTunes. Tonight I plugged my phone in, and decided to sync apps with my mac b/c I had downloaded an app on my laptop that I wanted on the phone. I'm not sure what dialog I clicked on, but one of the 10 apps on my iPhone (which I purchased) wasn't synced to the Mac and has now disappeared from my iPhone.
It's a paid app, and so I don't know if I can simply download it again w/out being charged.
Ideas on what I should do?

Sync apps back to iTunes library after iTunes reinstall

I recently had to format my PC due to a virus. Now after reinstalling iTunes, I cant resync my many purchased apps back to my PC. The only option it is giving me is to erase the iphone and start again. How can I get my apps back onto my PC as I'm worried that when software version 3.0 comes out, I will loose all my apps after updating?

Did you update your computer's backup or create a backup before reformatting your computer's hard drive which should include your iTunes library?
If not, did you lose all of your computer's data due to this Windows virus? If you lost all data due to this virus, I don't understand why anyone chooses to put up with such a swiss cheese for security operating system that is Windows.
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content from an iPod or iPhone that was purchased from the iTunes store, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased from the iTunes store only.
First you need to re-authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunes. After doing so, with your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
If all 3rd party apps do not transfer from your iPhone to your iTunes library, you can re-download the 3rd party apps with iTunes on your computer and you won't be charged again for any 3rd party paid apps as long as you use the same iTunes account to re-download the apps that was used to purchase the apps originally.
In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only. When syncing an iPhone with an iTunes library on another computer, all iTunes content on your iPhone that was transferred from a different computer will be erased first. The same applies to photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process. Your iPhone detects your computer as a new or different computer since your computer's hard drive was reformatted.

Imovie disappeared after leopard reinstall

Due to some operating system files being corrupted, I had to reinstall Leopard on my son's MacBook. However, after the reinstallation, iMovie was no longer there. Is there some way to recover the program or to have the installation disk install it?

sure, it has.. the Installer Dialog offers you a 'Clean Install' = erasing your harddrive's content to zil, or an 'Archieve' Install, which keeps all content (apps, datas) except the OS ..

you'll find them on your original installer disk, insert them, choose Application Install, choose manually the iLife package..
aside: a Re-Install doesn't fix a file corruption on a Unix system.. other, easier ways are a better option .. Mac ≠ Windows

Downloaded applications disappear after restarting?

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if this is the best community to post this question. But here goes.
I have several applications I bought online which seem to continually disappear on restart. At first I thought I imagined it, or I did something wrong. But now I can see it happens continually when I do a full shut down, at least on several applications.
Specifically, I notice it happens with my VPN client and with Skype. A full search of my computer will only find the downloaded .dmg files for both applications. (It could be happening with more apps, but these are the ones I use frequently, so these are the ones I notice.)
I just reinstall, but it isn't very convenient.
Any idea why this would be happening and how to prevent it?

Do you run the apps from the DMG file or you copy the apps to the Applications folder? You must copy them to Applications. If not, you will lose them because you are running them from their DMG

My Muse Application disappeared after installing update, how do I get it back?

I did some updates via Adobe Application Manager while installing a XI pro and when it was complete, I went to open Muse and it was gone... how do I get it back? When I go to download it again it takes me to the Adobe Application Manager where it lists 17 apps, Muse is one of them that says "installed" but it is not anywhere on my computer. I had a similar issue that I think was caused because I still had the Beta of Muse "installed" on my iMac running 10.8.2 and not the current live version of Muse.
I used the Adobe Application manager to install Muse and other apps after I joined Creative Cloud in September. It completed and said I had Muse installed, but in reality I believe it was still only the Beta. I realized all of this this Sunday Oct 30, 2012. I scoured the machine to make sure only the Beta was on my machine and that was correct. Until I deleted the Beta and restarted I could not get the "installed" status to be corrected. However, once it was corrected I could not get the Adobe Application "installer" for Muse to become active. Going to Adobe.com to get the Muse installer yielded a result where I could not get the official installer to work while I was logged in. Logging out, I was able to download a trial installer but it took 3 tries before it installed, citing a broken installer. Since that point however, Muse has worked just fine and it synced up with my Creative Cloud account.

TS3059 iphone4s applications crashing after itunes sync.

I'm on my 4th Iphone4s this month, every time I sync the Iphone to Itunes all the applications wouldn't open afterwards. I've created a new Apple ID that didnt work with the 3rd Iphone. The phone was working fine when I got it last week, now that I've put some music in it through Itunes, the same crashing problem came up.
Is it my mac that has a problem or a virus of some sort?
This is really getting annoying already, Mac/apple here in the Philippines cannot supply me a decent answer, all they say is its a software problem.
Having 4 brand new iphones having the same problem isnt logical anymore.

The Apple ID used to purchase the apps are forever tied to it. You cannot transfer them over to your new Apple ID.

Get buttons for podcasts disappeared after iTunes update

I updated iTunes to 10.5.3.3 the other day, and now the GET buttons for my subscribed podcasts have disappeared. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how do you fix it?

When this happened to me, a while ago, I downloaded iTunes (again) and ran the Repair option.
So, do not uninstall the current iTunes, but do download iTunes again. Run the installer and at some stage, you should see a Repair option. Use that.

Desktop disappears after iTunes 8 install

I installed iTunes 8, and when I rebooted my desktop was blank and my taskbar was gone. I finally was able to access system restore and go back to a prior restore point. But now iTunes 7 won't work because it says some iTunes file is a newer version. I'm running Win XP SP3.

In order to get this to work, I had to completelyy uninstall both iTunes and Quicktime. You can do this from Control Panel-Programs and Features. After your list of programs fully loads, select Quicktime first then click uninstall. Then do iTunes the same way. then I ensured that all references for these programs were removed from my registry. I did this by running a registry scan using the program called CCleaner. It is an awesome freeware program that scans your registry and cleans it. You can get it from http://www.ccleaner.com
After I restarted, I then re-installed iTunes. After I ran it the first time, I followed the directions from the initial post, and all problems were solved.

No apps after itunes reinstall

I had to reinstall itunes 11.5.5 on a fresh computer and all the apps are gone. I backed up my itunes folder in my music, so all the itunes migrated but none of the apps. Many were free, but some were bought. How do I get them back?

I keep getting error -42408 while trying to authorize songs after itunes reinstall?

I had to reinstall itunes, because my mac wouldn't run the latest version. Half the songs now need authorization to play, but when I do the store give me the error message -42408. Is this a problem on my end or itunes store?

Voice Memos Disappear After iTunes Sync

Anyone else experiencing this? My wife had 6 lectures recorded today on the iPhone before we synced it tonight. All of them had been recorded today. When she returned home she showed me the files on the iPhone so I can verify they were there.
However, once the first sync tonight completed, the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes only contained 3 of the lectures. What is worse is the iPhone now only contains these 3 lectures as well. Searched through the iTunes library and these are the only Voice memos to be found.
I performed a Restore (3.0) and then restored from the backup that was performed during that last sync and only recovered a short test memo we recorded that day before.
I will be filing an iPhone Feedback report, but wanted to know if this has occurred with anyone else. Cheers!

The shuffle icon in iTunes disappears, after you click on the icon in iTunes? If so, if you do not click on the shuffle icon in iTunes, does it remain there indefinitely? Are you looking at the shuffle icon in the iTunes sidebar?

I have exactly the same problem on a 4S on iOS 8. Have tried uninstalling, deleting FMF from backup, resetting phone and restoring from backup, but the problem remains. Sometimes the icon appears on a backup Home screen in iTunes, but it never appears on the phone itself. The app is accessible by going to the store, purchases and opening it from there. The app appears to have been running the whole time, but becomes invisible anytime I return to the home screen.
