Applications exit randomly...PLEASE HELP

hello all,
My iPhone has a tendency to exit out of safari randomly and the iPod application. I don't know why it does this but it is very annoying. I will just be browsing a website and it will just go back to the home screen. does anyone know why it is doing this? thanks so much!
-Dave

dcullsjp,
Try resetting your iPhone. To reset the iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
If that doesn't work, then try to reset all settings. To reset settings, Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Note: This will reset all settings. No data or media will be deleted.
If that still doesn't work, you can try restoring the iPhone using iTunes. To restore, connect the iPhone to your computer. When it appears in the Source list, click on Restore in the Summary tab. Note: This will delete all media and data. All settings will be reset as well. If possible, sync iPhone with iTunes before restoring to back up your most recent settings.
Hope this helps,
Jennifer B.

  • "Application Not Responding" please help!

Okay this problem has been occurring for about a month and I cannot handle life without iTunes:
Originally, my iTunes randomly stopped working and I would try to open the application, but it showed me a blank library with the spinning wheel.
I then tried to solve the problem by deleting unnecessary programs, restarting my computer, and uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes because the dock said that the application was not responding, so I would have to force quit.
Now, I get as far as the "iTunes Setup Assistant" by the time the color wheel starts spinning and the application stalls again.
I tried creating a new account and opening iTunes and that seemed to work fine, except a third of my library wasn't appearing and it's frustrating to have to keep logging in and out of accounts.
Also, whenever I plug my iPod into the computer and load Senuti, I can listen to songs off of that, but I can't add or modify songs on my iPod.
Please help me solve this problem!

You have a UAD-1e and you're getting a kernel panic from a conflict with the UA driver.
You should send this to Universal Audio tech support. This used to be an issue with sleep, but I believe they fixed that fairly recently, so I'm not sure why it's happening to you.
In the interim, also make sure for the moment that sleep mode on your computer is OFF, and that you are using the latest UA software.

    Hi,
I was able to successfully deploy after installing
    weblogic 6.1 SP2 (earlier I had SP1). Also, I had to make
changes in the BankAppServlet code since it tries to find the
bean with a different name than one specified in jndi-name.
    - Thanks,

  • Ipod says that files are being used by another application...please help!

My ipod lost all of my music but tells me that there is apparently still the same amount of memory used, i just can't access my music. To fix this, i'm trying to restore my ipod and just resync the music. However, every time i click restore i get the message "Itunes can not restore Ipod because it contains files in use by another application" even though there are no other applications running. I've ever tried restarting the computer to be sure that no applications are running. Please help!

I had the same issue with my new iPod 4gb nano. To be perfectly honest, I fixed it and I'm not exactly sure what part of the process actually did the job, so I'm going to attempt to explain it as best I can.
Basically I bought the nano to replace my 160gb classic aka paperweight. I'm currently deployed and the thought of traveling back to the US without a portable music player made me shudder. Within 4 days new nano click wheel decided to do the whole dying thing where I could click the buttons but not scroll through my music/change volume. I took the defunct iPod back to the BX and they exchanged it. I got home and discovered the "new" one they gave me was actually one that had been returned..because it popped up as "josh's ipod" when I plugged it in. So I'm on my third device and you can imagine when my computer informed me said device was corrupt and couldn't be read by my computer..I was pretty peeved. It took 7 or 8 tries to get the new nano update to install on my slow connection and when it finally did..I got the message that the files were in use by another application and couldn't be restored. I restarted the computer, made sure all other applications were shut down, checked my virus software. No dice. I ejected the ipod from my computer, plugged it back in and went into itunes preferences and clicked on "reset sync history". I think at this point it then treated the iPod as if it had never been plugged into my computer before. I then attempted the restore again, it did its thing and I now have a nice, new functioning iPod.

  • My iphoto icon has disappeared from my dock and applications folder. Please HELP

I tried clicking on the iphoto icon in the dock and nothing happened. I went looking for it in the applications folder and it wasn't there. I then moved the icon from the dock on to the desktop and it poof'd into thin air! GONE. What can I do? Please help! VERY upset.

reinstall iPhoto from the restore disks that came with your computer -
reinstall iPhoto - go to your receipts folder ("Your hard drive" ==> library ==> receipts) and remove any iPhoto receipts and reinstall from the restore disks that came with your computer - do a custom install of bundled software only

  • After Changing Itunes Store Missing Applications .. Please help !

    Dears,
I have a wearied situation here (Which Apple apple genius and support people were not able to help at) summarized as below !
I bought an Iphone 5s 32G from Saudi.
My apple ID was assigned to the Saudi store.
I downloaded some (free) applications and I've purchased some other.
I have moved to the US, so I changed the store from the Saudi one to the US one.
    I Factory rest my Iphone.
I logged-in with my Apple ID (newly assigned to the US store).
went to the Update/purchased section to find out that all my applications (Free and Paid) disappeared.
Apple support people informed me that this is related to the different in countries, so i am OK losing my paid application.
I downloaded my free applications again ( WhatsApp, Shamzam .... ect.) HOWEVER, when i go to the Updated/ Purchased section the surprised is (can not find the installed applications).
This happens only to the application i have downloaded before when my ID was assigned to the Saudi store, however the (first time) downloaded application it does appear in the Updated/ Purchased section.
Would you please advice if you have an idea how o solve this issue, and PLEASE do not tell me to back it up with iTunes ( we are in the iCloud Ear and i think Apple is was smarter than this manual way) and do not tell me to have two accounts.
    Thank You my good friends.

As well as being tied to the account that downloaded it, content is tied to the country that it was downloaded in - you will need to be back in Saudi Arabia with a Saudi billing address on your account for you to potentially be able to redownload any apps that you downloaded whilst in Saudi Arabia.
And yes, you should be copying all of your downloads to your computer's iTunes library, you are only guaranteed one download of any item from the store - any of the apps (or music, films etc) that you have downloaded since being in the USA could be removed by the rights-holder at any time (and audiobooks and ringtones are one-time only downloads), in which case you wouldn't be able to redownload them.

  • Application problems! Please help.

I have 1,496 songs, 11 Vids, 105 photos, 125 Applications. I can hold 29.1 GB and have 10.2 GBs left. my version is 4.3.3.
I use two IDs to download Apps from. I have 30 Apps on one and 95 on the other. the 95 on this account, keep imediately returning to home screen.
how can i get them to work?
PS: I've done all the reccomended actions provided by itunes and nothings changed.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

  • Error creating Customer Exit variable, please help

    Hi Experts,
This is the scenario, I need to obtain the convertion rate from the table TCURR in order to convert several currencies to USD, so I created a Customer Exit variable that gets the Period and based on that obtains the conversion rate for the last day of the given month from TCURR, the problem is when I created the Formula Variable to get the value from the Customer exit variable I got the following error:
'ZVARREGEXIT' ALREADY EXISTS; SELECT A DIFFERENT NAME.
But in not using that name anywhere on my variables creation, Im doing something wrong? How can I check wheres is that variable being used.
Ideas, comments are always welcome and appreciated.
    Regards.

    Hi Ed,
Open Admin Workbench (RSA1) and choose Transport Connection --> Object Types --> Query Elements --> Variable --> Select Objects. Find the variable of interest and transfer it back to the main screen, then right-click and choose 'Display Description'. That will show you a "where used" list of queries, workbooks, etc.
Next, you can use the previous technique to open one of the queries, find the variable in the query, and determine which InfoObject it is associated with.
    Hope this helps!
    Regards,
    Saurabh

  • IPhone Application Update Problem -- Please Help

So I downloaded the application Aurora Feint. Synced it to my iPhone and all was well. Then apparently there was an update. Instead of logging onto iTunes and updating it that way, I decided to try out the Application Store update feature on the iPhone itself. The problem is that the feature won't work for programs later than 10MB. (Aurora Feint is 20+MB.) So now I'm left with an unusable Aurora Feint update icon on my screen that is just taking up space.
I tried holding down the icons so I could just click the X to get rid of it. Problem is the update icon has no X. Then I tried syncing my phone via iTunes and telling it to remove the AF application. Supposedly it did. But when I disconnected the phone, the AF update icon is still there.
Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the blood thing?

If all else fails, first remove the app from iTunes (delete it), then do a restore of the iPhone. It should be gone after the restore.
