Applications & music vanish away in new itunes

i have been using the latest itunes along with iphone 4 but every few days or so the applications just disappear, this has happened with music too
every couple of days i have to do the syncing again along with the problem of organizing folders on the phone again
any idea whets going on

It's probably due to some junk software that was pre-installed on your Vaio. Did you ever run their VAIO Content Folder Watcher program?
You either need to get an update from Sony, or disable the VAIO Content Folder Watcher.

I worked out why my computer was nolonger reading cd disks. The new update of i tunes did not load correctly on my computer. I took itunes off and then reloaded the new update of itunes. As soon as I did this my computer would read disks again and the software had the import cd section that was missing before. I also went into preferences and general and highlited import cd. Hope this may help others.

Copy the music library from your old computer or the backup of your old computer to the new computer.

If you mean iTunes libraries, import the files into the new one.
If you mean iTunes Store accounts, no. Unless the old account's inaccessible, leave it as is.

Transfer Musics from ipad to new itunes

Hi
I had a problem on my computer and a lost all my libraries from itunes (music)
I've installed the new itunes and tryed to sync all the musics from the ipad to the itunes..
the itunes recovers the buyed music from apple store.. but of course not all my cd's that were in the itunes.
i have them on my ipad if i try to sync i will losse the musics on the ipad (my cd's).
Is there a way so i can transfer my ipad music to the new itunes library?

When your iPad is plugged in (ignore it if it asks to sync) right/ctrl click the iPad name and select "transfer purchasing..." this will copy anything you have bought from the iTunes store into your iTunes.
However any music you ripped yourself from CD's will not copy over you will need to re-import them into iTunes.
The iTunes setup is so to stop people going to a friends and copying all of their music to the friends iTunes, for example.

Will i lose my husbands music if i load new itunes cd?

You don't have to install iTunes every time you get a new ipod. You can just plug it in and it will recognize it as a different ipod. Then you can just use the same music you had before and put it on the new ipod
If it says that there's an update for the nano's firmware, just download it. It doesn't do anything to itunes, just updates the ipod

My laptop was destroyed in a house fire along with my back up itunes disks, though i had my 80GB ipod clasic with me (as usual). I now have a new laptop but i don't know how to move music off my ipod into my new itunes library, or even if it is possible. please help, i want to put new music onto my ipod without losing what is already there. For iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

For all other non purchased content (your own CDs etc), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it is a little more involved than other methods.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Other free programs are Pod Player, SharePod and Floola.
If you want to recover just the structure of playlists from the iPod (and not the actual song files themselves), there's iRepo for Windows. which I understand has this feature along with all the standard features for these programs.
iPodRip also has the feature enabling you to reconstruct playlists.
There is also CopyTrans. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.

HELP! Have new PC, how can i get iphone's music, apps ect onto new itunes??

Unfortunatly my laptop was stolen a week before christmas. My Iphone was synced to the laptop and I also used the Itunes' Store to purchase my music from the computer aswell as buying some from the phone itself.
I now have a new laptop and have just downloaded Itunes to it. I logged in to the Itunes store using my apple account fine. I then tried to sync my Iphone to the new laptop's Itunes but it said that 'music frm my Iphone would be replaced by my Itunes libary' (which is empty).
If i go to purchased underneeth the Itunes store it is empty. However if i got in to my Apple Account Information it had the full list of my past pursaches from my old laptop but shows no way of importing those songs and applications in to my Itunes Libary.
So really i just need to know how to sync my Iphone to my new laptop and keep the files i have already purchased which are on my Iphone at the moment.

You mean songs purchased with iTunes on your computer that was stolen which weren't transferred to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process?
People get new PC's all the time.
Sure they do, and many people also maintain a backup for their important data stored on an external drive or some other external media used for backup purposes only that includes their iTunes library - especially iTunes content that was purchased from the iTunes store. Apple includes a warning or alert message about maintaining a backup of your iTunes store purchases after making a purchase - maybe not after every purchase, but often enough.
What happened to your other important data stored on your laptop that was stolen? Was that data included with your backup or did you lose everything with the theft?
Just one of the many reasons why this is so important. Hard drives don't last forever and can have a partial or complete failure at any time - even the brand new hard drive with your new computer. I know some people who maintain two backups in case the media for one of their backups fail. Not likely that two would fail at the same time. I use iDisk for one of my backups, and I use an external flash drive for my other, which includes my entire iTunes library. Important regardless the platform but even more so with a Windows PC due to constant virus, adware, and spyware concerns.
Apple may help you with this, but they aren't obligated to do so.

Transferring music from iPhone to new iTunes

The hard drive on my new Mac Book Pro failed and I took it to the Apple Store. They said it would have to be replaced and suggested I take it to Best Buy first to have it backed up. I do so and they charged me for a portable HD they said had all my files (including iTunes) on it. I then took the Mac Book back to the Apple Store where they replaced the hard drive. When I tried to restore the portable HD Best Buy had done, I discovered that Best Buy had not backed up anything. The HD was blank. I took it back to Best Buy and they appoligized and said they had made a mistake, but they had not been able to back the old hard drive up. I called the Apple Store back but they said the old hard drive had already been disposed of. All my music is on my iPhone. Is there a way to get it into iTunes on the new hard drive on my Mac Book Pro? I'm not going to worry about the rest of the files on the old hard drive.

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod/iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases: Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You may be able to purchase software to retrieve other items.
Did you fail to maintain a backup copy of your computer before it failed?

That is correct. the music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The iphone is not a backup device.
Copy everything from the old computer, or backup copy of the old computer, to the new one.

New Computer...transfering music from Nano to new ITunes Library

I just loaded itunes on a new computer. Itunes recognizes my nano and the music on it, but how do I transfer that music to the Itunes library, so that the music will be on my new computer. Might be simple but I can't figure it out.

There's thrid party software that makes this a bit easier to do.

I cannot share my music with family with new iTunes

I have followed all of the steps to share music between my account and my husband's account, but cannot transfer music. I can't transfer purchased music or music I downloaded from a cd. I have followed all of the proper steps to do this, but I am not able to drag music to my library. I have restarted, turn sharing on and off, checked apple id....everything and still have trouble. I have the latest version of iTunes on both computers. I do not know what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fix for music playback problems with new iTunes (11.1)?

When playing music from my library using the latest iTunes update (11.1), the audio will pause every so often, maybe every 2-3 minutes, for just a couple of seconds - I tried to reinstall and the same problem occurs. Is there a fix for this? I am running OS X 10.6.8 on an iMac.
