IPod function looses place when playing in the background

I have an iPhone 3g and since getting it I've been able to cause the iPod to loose its place if I run an application and let it play in the background. If one song is playing and I start any other application in the phone (even built-in ones like the browser) that doesn't cause the iPod to stop playing music the iPod will keep playing and if I use the browser or other apps long enough for the ipod to move to the next song and I return to the iPod app the time and track information will reflect the time and song that was playing when I started the other app! This is particularly noticeable in long files like audio books where you are listening to chapter 5 when you start the browser and go back to the ipod sometime during chapter 6 and the ipod still shows you at some point in chapter 5. Anyone else noticed this? I've also had it not remove the 'new' (blue dot) from podcasts unless I pause it then resume playing.

I've seen both these issues when listening to podcasts. also, i've noticed that when this issue is occurring, fast forward sounds like it's seeking forward but when you let go of the button it resumes in the exact same spot from where you were before you push fast forward.

I used to be able to turn off applications operating in the background. Since the last software update, I can't do it.

Double tap the Home button, then swipe upwards on the App Preview (not the App Icon). Tap the home button again to return to normal screen.

Audio from flash sources is playing in the background, even though the sources of these have been closed.

Audio from flash sources are still playing in the background after their sources have been closed; audio also starts playing when I start the browser. Closing plugin-container.exe in task manager solves this, but I do not want to do this every time I have audio in the background that should not be there. Not a good move to launch a browser where the kinks haven't been worked out. Have tried to inactivate addons etc. This problem is related to FF5, but have also happened earlier, with FF4. Solved that time by moving to Chrome instead.

Commercial playing in the background of computer ever since flash player has been downloaded

Ever since I've downloaded the flash player there are commercials playing in the background. And this starts as soon as I power up my computer. I've tried every way to try and stop it, but havent been able to.

That sounds more like you are infected with some malware.

What is the music playing in the background at WWDC video "Thank you"?, which starts with the blind man that used his iPhone to walk independently. (at the end of the video, you can hear the music without speech).

I make videos using my go pro hd camera, but when i export it only half of my 3 min video shows up with the audio playing in the background, plus when i try to select the quality in the export options it won't let me select 720p or 1080p?????? help!!!

What you could do now is break up your video into smaller parts and render them out, then assemble them again as a whole.
I know this is not the best fix, but it might work.
You can duplicate an edit in the main screen, then delete the last bits and export,
do the same for the other half.
Then import the two bits (or more if you need) in a new edit.
Out of curiosity, can you post what format the video is in?
Copy a video straight from the camera to your computer.
Open it in Quicktime player, and with out playing type Apple + i
or Control + i for PCs
It should tell you lots of info about the video, and might help us to see what is wrong.

Double-click the home button that will bring up all the applications in the background.
To close then you swipe the application upward and it will close.

You cannot downgrade your software. The only way you can downgrade your software is by jailbreaking your device (which can be risky if you dont know what your doing). Remember if you are downgrading by jailbreaking it will void your warranty with Apple - and you could run the risk of disabling your device.
However, im not too sure about the YouTube problem, my only guess is that since it is not an original app that comes with the iOS software.

How do I stop a video playing in the background?

I'm using videos in a DPS publication for iPad, but when I turn away from the page while the video plays, it continues to play in the background. That's not a thing I want. How do I stop that from happening so that the video pauses or stops when I flip pages?

In other blogs some mentioned a little tool that stops the video when u go to other pages but it doesn't on Android as the mentioned here

Audio from video won't stop playing in the background

I have series of youtube/mp4 videos on the timline and navigation to go to different timeline navigation points.
When I play the video it works fine but when I click on my navigation to go to another navigation point the audio still plays in the background.
I made sure to turn off my content dropzone by each point but it still plays. the only way that it stops is when I manually hit pause or stop before clicking my navigation.
Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening?

Hi everyone!
I will be posting this in all "weird sounds topics" just so you know.
These "weird" sounds you hear are from pacman.
Today is Pacmans 30:th birthday and google wanted to celebrate by making the pacman game playable at their website "www.google.com".
You will notice that their logo is changed to pacman with the map swapped out to the text "google".
The game will probably just be here today so all noises will be gone by tomorrow. If you don't want to hear the sound today then please don't visit google or just turn your volume down.
