Applications Sync button disable
I have an iPhone 3G, software version 2.1, iTunes version 8.01.11.
I cannot sync applications anymore. In iTunes at applications tab the "Sync Applications" check box is disabled. I tried different settings to enable it but without any luck. I even uninstalled iTunes and install it again, with the same result.
If I buy a new application, I can see it in Applications tab, but everything is disabled.
I can sync music, videos etc. only applications sync is not working.
Has anybody else encountered the same problem?
I have the same issue, but for an iPod Touch. Everything to do with applications is grayed out, and I can't change any settings to sync the applications with my Touch.
I couldn't find any controls, including any restrictions, that would prohibit my selecting any of the boxes.
All software is up to date: 2.2 on the touch; 10.5.6 on the MacBook.

As I downloaded new software upgrade in my iPod nano 7 th gen and also new iTunes upgrade then all data on my iPod got erased and now when I am trying to sync it again then sync button is disabled on the windows screen . Kindly help

They don't have the music on their computer so they cannot transfer the iTunes folder, from the computer to their iPod and then to the new computer. And if they try to enable disk use on the iPod it will erase all the music that is on it. The method you cited is moving the files in a data format using the iPod as a flash drive. It doesn't work if they are in music format. That is why I suggested Yamipod. -

It may seem simple, but restart both devices.
on the iPhone hold the sleep and home button until the phone rests (soft reset), then restart the iTunes app. Then plug the phone back in then sync again. -

Lightroom 4.4 Metadata Auto Sync switch missing from Sync Button.
I am using Lightroom 4.4 on a 2013 Macbook Air OS 10.8.4.
I cannot see the Switch enables auto sync on the Metadata sync button. Its currently visible on another machine a MacPro with Lightroom v4.3. I find this useful to be bale quickly enable and disable the syncing of metadata. I'd be grateful if somewhere could tell me if this has been dropped in v4.4 or have I missed a prefs setting somewhere? MAny thanksIt depends on how the "Metadata Menu>Show Metadata for Target Photo Only" option is set. If it's enabled, the buttons are as you show them, with the little switch to the left of the "Sync" button which would enable "Auto Sync" if clicked (but only possible with multiple photos selected).
However, if that option is unchecked, the button changes and becomes like this:
No switch needed in that situation, the button lights up whenever multiple images are selected. -
No Sync button in Tools/Options, so cannot sync this new PC
Have established a Firefox Sync Key account using my iMac, and am trying to sync my PC, using the sync key. Unfortunately, there is no sync button in the Tools, Options menu after the Advanced button, so there is no opportunity to be able to sync my PC (Win 7 64 bit).
If you did have Firefox 6.0.2 the Sync menu item would be in the Options window. Plus the UserAgent of the browser you used to post here is for Firefox 3.6.3.
Take a look at Help > Troubleshooting Information -> Application Basics > Version and see which version it says that you have installed. -
I have recently updated my nokia ovi on the cellphone.
Now I am not able to download any app which I had previously downloaded too.
If I go to 'my stuff', and select an app, the download button becomes grayed and is disabled.
Please tell me how to correct this thing.

What is actually happening is that even though I have removed the applications from the 'my stuff' list, (record of downloaded software) the application download buttons are still disabled.
It has nothing to do with the phone as you suggest, the problem is with Ovi website. for I have clean booted my N97 with a hard reset and wanted to reinstall all previous applications. however since the Ovi site update, I have been unable to do so.
All software that I wish to re-download has been removed from the 'my stuff' listing. so in theory the software should now become available again for download (as it used to be in the older version of Ovi). Yet I cannot select the software for download, no matter what I do, it seems that either Ovi never clears it's cahe or they choose to prevent users from downloading FREE software once they have downloaded it. (unlikely).
So come on, someone from Ovi, please research this problem and come back with a solution or at least a proper reply. -
I'm having trouble getting the Return remote control button to behave in a DVD that I'm authoring. If I set the Return button at the disc level to call a script that does some conditional jumps, then when I play the DVD in the simulator, the Return button is disabled during playback of tracks. It's also disabled when I play the DVD using Apple's DVD Player application. (The Menu button is set to call the same script and it works fine.) Similarly, if I just set the Return button to call the main menu directly, I still have the Return button disabled (get a "Not Permitted" message when playing in Apple DVD Player, for example.)
I have looked at the User Operations at the track level, and nothing is disabled there. Is there somewhere else the source of this problem could be hiding?

--JVYep... the Return button is not well implemented in DVDSP and I'd go so far as to say that you're probably better off not using it.
The return button is designed to allow you to navigate the disc hierarchy... it is more properly called the 'go up' button... taking you from where you are back up one 'level'. In fact it really doesn't do this very well at all, and hasn't since v1. Trai Forrester wrote a pretty good article about it, but for the life of me I can't find it now.
You'll need to find a way around the issue - like adding logical buttons on each menu to help with the navigation. -
Colllection Sync Buttons Unavailable. Version 5.4 No Identity plate login option
I'm trying to sync to Lightroom Mobile Collection Sync: Identity Plate is hidden when catalog opens. I can't find it and see no option to sign in. The Sync buttons are not displayed next to collections. There is no option on creating a new collection to allow sync. I am on LR version 5.4

I am a Creative Cloud subscrber. I have been subscribed to the Photography program since its beginning. I got a notice that LR 5.4 was available the other day and downloaded it via the Creative Cloud Application Manager. I suspect that somehow, I have the stand alone version and not the cc version. I'm not sure how that happened since I've downloaded all apps from this manager....but again, somehow, I suspect I have managed to do just that, because I do not get the option to sign into LR mobile on my desktop version.
I appreciate your responses. Any suggestions where I go from here?

My apologies...the version is 11.1.4.62 not as stated aboive in my problem description. I'm trying again and it just finished syncing fine and my iPhone 5 is still connected to iTuns physcially with USB lightening cable and is displaying the iPhone icon top right. I clicked on it and iTunes is now "hung' or locked up. Shows to be an active running application but can't get back to it so willl have to kill with task manager. There is some kind of problem going on with the latest version of iTunes and Wndows 7 and 8.1 or something. My iPhone 5 now has a new feature that it is now asking me if I "Trust" this computer. iTunes just came "unhung" after several minutes while I was typing this. Now I am going to start the backup to this computer HP Winsows 8.1 and iTune 11.1.4.62 and see what happens. Says it is Backing up Jerrys iPhone but the Barber Pole progress bar is not turning an iTunes is hung again and I cant get back to it from this page I am typing on. Maybe it will eventually release as it did a moment ago.

Airplay sync button is missing
Does anybody know how i can fix the problem of a missing sync button for airplay on my iphone?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! If the AirPlay icon doesn't appear on your iOS device after following instructions about how to use AirPlay, then try these troubleshooting steps:
If the AirPlay icon doesn't appear
Check for the AirPlay icon ( ) in the recently used apps section on your iOS device, or in iTunes on your computer (as in these articles about how to use AirPlay and how to use AirPlay Mirroring). The icon will only appear if your device or computer is logged onto a Wi-Fi network which has an AirPlay-enabled recipient, such as Apple TV (2nd generation or 3rd generation).
If you are still unable to see the AirPlay icon, try one of the following steps:
Verify that your AirPlay-enabled devices have the most up-to-date software or firmware.
Verify that your iOS device has Wi-Fi turned on. Enable Wi-Fi on your iOS device by going to Settings > Wi-Fi.
Verify that all your AirPlay-enabled devices are logged on to the same home Wi-Fi network (check the home network names on your devices to confirm).
If trying to AirPlay, or AirPlay mirror, to your Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), ensure that AirPlay is enabled on your Apple TV as well. You can enable or disable AirPlay on Apple TV in the AirPlay menu: Settings > AirPlay
Check Internet or network connectivity on all affected devices.
Temporarily disable firewalls (both network and local) and security software. Security software and firewalls may block ports that AirPlay uses to stream content. You can often resolve issues with security software by updating, correctly configuring, or uninstalling security software.
If attempting to use AirPlay from a third-party app or a website from your Safari app on your iOS device, confirm that the app or website is AirPlay compatible (refer to the developers of the app or website for additional information).

Application specific button on FPM toolbar to call action triggered in view
Hello,
In the content area of my FPM is an ALV with some buttons, e.g. clicking one of the button opens up certain ALV column for editing (for simplicity, I omit the details besides simply enable the columns).
With FPM, I want the button to be placed in the toolbar as a application specific button. How do I achieve the same functionality e.g. from PROCESS_EVENT method calling an action (to open up certain ALV column for editing) via the application specific button placed on the toolbar communicating with the action/method found in the view controller ? Thank you.

I tried as follows :
- Create an event in the component controller, say 'MA'
- Within PROCESS_EVENT, raise the event as follows :
data : lo_fpm type ref to if_fpm,
lo_event type ref to cl_fpm_event.
create object lo_event
exporting
iv_event_id = 'MA'.
lo_fpm = cl_fpm_factory=>get_instance( ).
lo_fpm->raise_event( io_event = lo_event ).
- In the view controller, create an event handler which subscribe to the event, MA of the component controller.
However, the code in the event handler is never executed despite the event being raised. Not sure how FPM event flow works here.
Can anyone advise ? Thank you.

How do I restore the white sync button on iPhone 4s?
Last night I was attempting to add a Kindle book to my iPhone via the sync method. Something has gotten corrupted, as my iPhone no longer shows the white sync button option, under the iTunes /wifi option in settings. When I open iTunes, it sees the iphone. If I try and drag a file to the iPhone, the item bar is transparent and doesn't allow the action. I restored the phone, but to no avail. I no longer have the ability to manually sync my phone by pressing the white sync now button, that was previously showing on the phone. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
