Applications that allow timestamping documents.

Hello All,
I'm not having much luck with the last message I posted on this forum, so I thought I would ask another question and see if anyone replies.
I've recently installed Doc2HD for iPad. If there is anybody out there that has used the application can you please tell me if you're able to timestamp documents with date and time?
If nobody is familiar with the application can you let me know if there are any word processing applications that allow you to add a timestamp. I've tried with Pages but no luck.

Yes it is the iBooks reader that comes with the iPad.
There are readers foe Barnes and Noble (eBook) & (nook) and Amazon (kindle).
But iBook comes preinstalled.

ive tried a few but they only paste the next... anyone help?

im assuming paste them on your phone to use as wallpaper etc?? if that's all you want to do, you don't need an app for that... when you find an image you like touch and hold for 3 or 4 sec. a dialogue box will appear asking you if you want to save the image, email it, etc... select save and it will appear in its own folder under photos as "saved images or photos"...

I have the same problem just bought a HP Photosmart Plus B210 with a Netgear wireless N Router, Wireless is working great with my Gateway laptop and the Ipad, and 2 iphones. The laptop prints tex and pic's wireless.
I can e mail and print pic's from my i devices and all show wi-fi working great. But when I hit print to print a pic. nothing. If I get the answer I will let you know.

Spotlight On Desktop or similar application that allows search

I would like to put spotlight on my desktop - is this possible?
I would really just like to put some sort of a search bar on my desktop-
like a widget. If spotlight won't do this, is there a program that allows
for a search of my computer where i can just pop one little search bar on

the job takes me away from home and at times I need information stored on the iMac. I would like to access the main computer and its files through a second computer, Mac Pro. The hosts file is in /etc and is editable only by root (or an admin user with "sudo"). You can use Terminal to access it, or use the Go menu in Finder to Go to the /etc folder.

Changing the application that a file type opens with

I have MSFT Excel and Subethaedit installed...
I want Subethaedit to open all "*.spad" files
I go to "Get Info" then go to "Open with:" then choose Subethaedit
Then I press "Change All...", a dialog pops up and asks if I want to apply the change to all documents of the form "*.spad", and I answer "continue" and then...
It ignores me; it drops Subethaedit from the list of apps to "Open with" and doesn't change the default format.
How do I force the type to change to the app I want? Is there a text-file I can munge somewhere?

It's possible your launch services database is corrupted. See my "Resetting Launch Services" FAQ. Then try the procedure you defined earlier, which is also described in "Mac OS X 10.4 Help: Changing the application that opens a document."

App that disables sleep that allows screen saver

Hey everyone,
Curious if anyone has found an application that allows an easy one click in the menu bar that disables sleep display while still allowing the screen saver to run.
I use caffein to disable sleep in general, not just sleep display but it does not allow the screen saver to run. I like this app cause it is easy to turn it on and off with one click on the menu bar but I cant find anything similar in ease.
Basically I want my entertainment macbook's screen saver to stay on and not sleep the display, because then my TV turns off when it sleeps the display, even though it is still playing music. At the same time, I want to be able to turn back sleep on after I am done playing music so the macbook goes to sleep when I am gone.
Any suggestions?

What's wrong with the settings in System Preferences -> Energy Saver? Set both sliders to never, then just put it to sleep manually when you are done with it. That won't require any more manipulation than your proposed solution and wouldn't require running an extra app to take care of it.

I am looking for an application that would allow me to open a word doc, and take notes in the .doc using a stylus pen. I'd then like to convert those notes to text, and then be able to copy / paste those notes into an email. Does this app exist?

It seems like we were doing these same types of things with Palm Pilots years ago, one would think this would work with iPads?

I don't believe it will open a Word document, but Writepad allows for handwritten conversion of notes to text and then to email. Might help you some of the way...

You don't need an application, just plug a compaitble monitor into the display port of your MacBook Pro, set the screen up in System Preferences>Displays
