Hi, I have a n8 phone that I just bought last year. It frustrates me cause just few months after I bought It a newer version was out in the market. I am also hoping that nokia could have applications similar to other phone makers just like for Samsung and phones. That have similar applications so you could connect to social network and can edit photos easily.(just like instagram and viber something like that) As I observe the applications available in our store is exclusive to nokia users only except for the Windows phone. Hope you could have available updates for phone like mine. That not even a year old but seems like on a phase out stage already.

Several hits on conversations.nokia.com, but the best explanation I found, which is more in line with what I read in the past, is on this page, posted 2009-Aug-13:
"I feel that the whole SIP client story is one of those (no flames, please). Nokia took out the client expecting IT departments and independent developers to create a better SIP client. Sure, there are VoIP clients, which cover the majority of folks. But the folks who want a proper SIP client on their phone ended up not having any developer make anything for them.
Usually, independent developers drive innovations in a platform, whether it be Windows or Symbian or whatnot. In the case of SIP, when Nokia built a phone, with all the foundation needed for SIP, no one came – no Cisco, no IBM, no one."
A rewrite of the underlying SIP stack shouldn't cause Nokia to pull out the front-end client. If you think about it, a SIP client would be very useful during the SIP stack rewrite for testing and validation (in addition to the unit tests, I'm sure).
In any case, I guess I was looking for something officially stated by Nokia (as you suggested) rather than blogs, unless they are backed by sources.

May I know other application that can still locate my iPhone without internet connection

Someone stolen my Iphone5 in the office. I tried to locate the location of my iphone with my MAC AIR using icloud but I cant locate my gadget because Its already block and dot have internet connection. Now, just wanted to know if there are some application that can still locate with an internet connection?

Unfortunately the iPhone needs to be connected to the internet to get located.
Technically, it is possible to locate it if the phone based on it´s IMEI number when it is switched on. But only your carrier on request of the police will be able to do it. Being realistic, I doubt that they will do the effort
Maybe by chance the thief connects to the net....that´s the only way.

Search application that can handle regular expressions

I am desperately seeking for my PhD an OSX 10.6 application that can search through all my data. That application need to have *efficient search algorithms* for complex pattern searching.
For example I want to search all my documents having the word cancer inside the file.
Not only search for the filename cancer BUT search inside the documents with all the extensions (pdf, rtf, doc, etc.)
In Windows I use +Filelocator Pro+.
Is there a Mac OSX application like +Filelocator Pro+ for search?

You might try the freeware EasyFind. It allows boolean and wildcard searches. How many of the other features in your "wish list" it offers I haven't checked. If EasyFind doesn't offer sufficient power, take a look at FoxTrot Personal Search or FoxTrot Professional Search.
And of course there's always grep which can be incredibly powerful once you learn all its ins and outs.

You can't.
All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the Photo Library. The photos in the album or albums below are not duplicates - they include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. This way you can view the photos in a particular album only by selecting the album, or you can view all photos available in all albums by selecting Photo Library.
Just as with an iTunes playlist. A song cannot be in an iTunes playlist unless the song is in the main iTunes library. Placing a song in a playlist does not duplicate the song. Remove the main iTunes library or the songs from the main iTunes library that are in a playlist and the songs will no longer be in the playlist either. Is there an application that can batch convert wma to m4a and save the output files to their respective original file location?

I need to convert thousands (yes, really) of wma files to m4a. The wma files are all located in different folders and each converted m4a file needs to end up in the same folder as its respective original wma file. Does anyone know of an application that can do this?

I'm not completely sure that MPEG Streamclip can convert AVCHD footage (.mts files). If MPEG Streamclip doesn't do the job, then get a copy of Clipwrap, which was designed for transcoding .mts files to QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec (that's the format/codec you need to convert the .mts files to for use in FCE).

Would love a bumper case that can stay on the phone

It appears there is an overwhelming number of people who would love a bumper case that can stay on the phone when docking it in a speaker dock, a clock dock etc etc. Is there such a beast and if so who makes it and who sells it?

I have the same issue. While I am sure your solution would work, my playlist has over 6,000 songs and hiting every song to download it is not very practical. Is there another way?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

You don't need anything, as such is built directly into the iOS. Your carrier, however, needs to support such.

It sounds that you are running the same iCloud account with two phones. I recommend you to create a different iCloud account and you should be all set.

I seem to recall as well from the OWB Admin class that existing objects in the repository would need to have the security updated if the additional restricted roles are created after tables/mappings/etc. so that they reflect the new security model.
Also, for individual logins to OWB, each developer would require a separate database login.

Safari is the only application that can successfully use the internet.

Dear all,
I have been having internet problems for the past couple of weeks, that started fairly suddenly. The problem is that any of my internet-using applications cannot use the internet, apart from Safari. Browsing and downloading through Safari work seamlessly, but all other uses of the internet fail.
For example, Messenger for Mac gives me a message indicating that I am not connected to the internet. Skype also does this, and the iTunes Store tells me that the host is down, and that I should check my internet connection and try again. Software Update is another application that cannot function as a result of this problem.
I am living in student halls at university, so my internet connection is an ethernet cable plugged into the wall, and therefore I have no access to the behind-the-scenes things. I have contacted my internet provider (Ask4), to ask if they'd changed anything, but they said not, but are very willing to do anything they can to help me.
It has been suggested to me that I simply create a new location in network settings, and that this would remedy the problem, but it didn't work.
Another suggestion was to temporarily disable the firewall, but this also didn't help.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could try next, because I'm all out of ideas, and I can't find anyone with the same problem.
Any help would be well-appreciated.

i figured it out. reboot the phone. its an ios4 bug that once you turn the orientation lock on once and back off, the photos wont rotate and you have to reboot. hopefully a fix comes soon

Why can't I see the other phone on my account and view usage details? I'm the account owner.

You can call customer service and make sure your number is registered as the account owner; if the other number is not yet registered, set up an account for that number - it may be set as the primary/account owner number. CS can get it straightened out for you.
