Applications went mute

Hi, some of my applications suddenly lost all sound. One minute they were working and now they are totally quiet. Pocket Guitar and aDrummer and a bunch of others went mute but some are still working. I've removed the mute apps, redowloaded and reinstalled them but it didn't work. I just restored my iPhone from a backup hoping that would take care of the problem but no. Maybe I should restore it fully as a new iPhone? Has anyone else had this problem or has anyone any idea what could be wrong? I don't think it's because of the 2.1 update because all of these apps worked with 2.1 until now.

It is possible that you have a hardware failure in the phone, although it could also be a software issue. With music apps it must be possible to blow the speaker by turning the volume up high over extended periods.
You don't say if the problem is just the external speaker or both external speaker and earbuds. If both then the cause is more likely to be software related.
If it were me I would phone Apple tech support in your region and they will troubleshoot over the phone which may include various resetting options and if need be - erasing and re-installing the firmware. If they cannot fix it as a software problem they will assume a hardware failure and replace the phone by sending one directly to you (usually takes up to 3 or 4 days)so long as you are within the warranty period.

MAC MINI just went Mute today.

MAC MINI just went to mute, have been connected to a TV for 2 years via HDMI with no issues. I can switch to internal/Headphones with no issue. Thank you for the help. Yes the HDMI is there but no control. I swapped the cable around and checked the tv. Funny thing We used external speakers this morning for a movie and afterwards i unplugged them from the headphone jack and the sound came thru the tv again but the sound icon is still gray but I can control the output to the tv? Not sure what that means but it is working now. Maybe the headphone jack was stuck.

CC applications went to Trial mode after I had to change my password

Adobe's Customer Security e-mail asked me to change my password a week ago. I did that, but now all my CC applications start in trial mode. I can choose between License or Trial. But in the last 11 months of being a Creative Cloud member I've never received a serial for licensing. Also, I can't sign in to the Creative Cloud desktop app ("Sign in is currently unavailable"; it's been like this for a week)

Hi there! I already sent mail to the support, but they haven't answered yet and since I produce semi-professionally I kinda need this fixed asap, (eventhou thou the card is only in use at my homecomp.)
Anyhow, let's get down to it. Few days ago, I installed an internal PATA HDD, which wasn't a big deal, just few bolts... I don't really think this even had anything to do with it, but I just realized the problem afterwards: no sound output what so ever. The dps patchmix clearly shows the incoming signal and everythings seems to be fine, but I just can't hear anything. The leds are ok in the dock, and when I deliberately clipped my mic, the clip-led lit just fine. I even restarted my comp without the new hdd and cd-rom incase I ran out of power. This didn't help at all. I got monitors hooked to the dock, and a headphones but they are both mute. I've only received one error message so far, when I turned on logic 5.1.1 I got an error saying "can't synchronize midi with the external device", or something similar. I'm a bit scared that the problem is in the hardware but I can't figure out a way to test it for sure...
any help would be really, really appreciated...

I re-installed the entire windows and now it works! Still no idea what was wrong there...

My GarageBand suddenly went mute

I have the latest GarageBand and my latest file isn't outputting sound. I was literally working on it and clicked Play and it just didn't play back so I tried restarting, and everything else I could think of. All other GB files seem to work. This one has no solo'd files and it shows the green bars that it's even making sound but nothing is coming out.
The Master Volume isn't muted and like I said, other files works so it's not my computer's audio output. It was honestly working, I moved a few files, clicked Play again and now there's no sound. Please help! It's a real pain to transfer every file, one by one to salvage the project.

How to make a servlet as a router between two applications ?

The technology is called failover. Google for it to learn more. Consult Oracle docs for how to do it in Oracle AS.

Macbook Pro Sound becomes mute after upgrading to 10.6.3

Every thing on my new MBP was working fine, till I just upgraded the firmware from the 10.6.2 to 10.6.3
Now the sound went mute. No mater what I do, it remains mute.
I tried every thing, went to system preferences, tried to slide the volume slider, but nothing happenned.
Please advise how to bring the sound back.
Do I have to downgrade to 10.6.2 If yes, how can I do it. I am new to Macs. Will i loose my data.

This is to inform the MacBook Pro users, that I solved my problem only after I run the installation disc of Mac OSX, and downgraded my OS to 10.6
I would warn other users, that they should take a proper backup, before installing any Apple software updates.
Though, I am very disappointed that Apple is releasing such updates, without proper testing. It reminded me of Microsoft.

Localization Issue - Application Doesn't Read Culture Specific Resource File

i know there are lot of thread out there about localization, but most of them go over same rule, or are not enough complete that i be able to get them,...
Here's my issue, i use win form localization for UI, and every things is fine, then i pass the culture i want to application thread before start it, and every thing goes fine.
But when i want to handle error msg's... or Etc...i use Resource file exist over Resources, and my Resharper point to that, using command like
Resource.<ResourceName>;
So after doing every thing, i made an other resource file, copy exist text item in main resource file,
put a name like Resource.en-US.resx on it and then compile it, it generate a sub folder, or maybe two,
after it i run app, with passing culcure of en-US , and then the application went right, but when it come to show code resources, like what i talked about, it used the old default culture text messages...
what should i do? where do i go wrong?
I even tried to copy the resource dll file of en-US calture in exact bin folder, but it still didn't worked.
the thing i follow were on a thread of MSDN help.

I am afraid that we are not clear about what the error is and how you use these resources, I would recommend you share the detailed code with us, you could comment all sensitive data or if possible you could just create a simple winform project, and reproduce
that issue, then share it with us by uploading it to OneDrive.

Application Discovery and Load Balancer Service Application - Load Distribution

We have a four server farm with no external load balancer. All of the servers are configured as WFEs.
Is there a console in central admin or in site settings where I can see which request goes to which server?

It has been set up this way ever since the application went live, why or who did this I do not know. The application is mainly used as a docu-share and there are a fair bit of users (~30,000) on it now. Bulk of the users access it once a month.
I think it probably is time to change this design as users have started complaining about slowness. We tried putting in an external load balancer, but it made things worse.

Installed applications on Nokia5800 'missing'

Hi all,
Can anyone help me? Last night I was downloading some applications using the Nokia Download online version. I installed 3 applications onto my memory card and was happily playing with them last inhgt. this morning howevr, the icons are still there under applications, but the applications themselves do not work. I cant even find them under applications manager.
So now I have 3 applications that show on the applications menu, but do not actually work, and I cannot remove the icons.
Has anyone else had this?

Even I've faced similar issues with my nokia phones.
At times, the application goes from the application manager, but I was able to use it from the menu.
Another time, the application went missing both from the menu and the manager, but when I tried re-installing, it asked me "are you sure you want to replace version ** with **?"
Another time, the application would open and close instantly.
First restart the phone and see if the application works.
If it doesnt, reinstall the application, restart, and see if it works......Otherwise, after reinstalling, uninstall it so that the entire stuff will be cleanly removed from the phone.
Then restart and reinstall. It should work.(Maybe you'll have to restart after installing)

Error running first webDynpro application

I've been working on the WebDynpro tutuorial for building a simple welcome application. Assembling the application went ok and even deploying went ok, but when attempting to actaully run the applicaiton occurs an error occurs. I've listed out the stack trace details below.

You can compare your Netweaver and J2EE server versions by the following:
J2EE server - WebDynpro console has about server link with Build ID
NWDS - Use About menu to see the version and build.
I would recommend installing the NWSD workstation from service marketplace. Its on the master J2EE DVDs.

How to remove an application?

I have installed "Dragster" from downloads and later on decied to remove this application, went finder > applications and select its icon then pressed Command and backspace to get rid of it.
but this application make a menu in your right click or better say ALT click menu.
so when ever I right click or alt click on any file I get an extra menu under the "More" option which says "Dragster"...
Could you plase advice me how to remove this application fully?

PS: I switch to Apple from MS since October.

Choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu, enter ~/Library/Contextual Menu Items/ as the folder's path, and delete any related content from that folder; if there's nothing relevant there, do it again but omit the ~ at the beginning of the path.
