Applications will not load - as not authorized

XP SP3
This has me stumped.
I am the admin for this PC.
My music and podcasts sync to the iTouch but not a new Application I downloaded from 'the' store because I am "not authorized to use them on this computer."
So what is preventing the install?

got it. some how the itcouch was not authorized (found the feature under the Store tab within Itunes) yet my Nano is/was.

SystemUIServer not loading, menubar not working

Hi
I am having a problem with SystemUIServer not loading and leading to nothing loading on the right side of the menu bar. It is true for all accounts on the computer.
I have looked on the forums and not found an answer yet. I have restarted, trashed the pref file, and booted in safe mode then restarted. Even in safe mode it did not load. It looks like it may be trying to load a bad file or something and I am looking for the safest way to fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Since it's all users, the regular fix won't have much effect methinks.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates.

HT1222 security update 2014-001 1.0 will not load. Not even in safe mode. Says to contact manufacturer?

I have downloaded the latest Security Update from the Apps store, TWICe and neither time has it taken when installing. I then kept clicking and found a version specific to Mountain Lion, which I downloaded. That didn;t take on installation either, not even in Safe Mode. I have a VERY small amount of GB's per month (10 GB) and am increasingly frustrated with having tod ownload stuff that doesn't seem to work. AND the #1 hovering on the App symbol in the dock drives me nuts. Especially after downloading the same update now THREE TIMES?! Can anyon e help me to understand what's going on, or indeed how to make this thing work?

Using AppStore twice: "unknown error"
I thought it might be because the AppStore installation didn't have access to my system keychain for administrator privileges, so I downloading manually, opened the DMG and ran the installer. I got the prompt for my password and the installer went almost to the end, including the "optimizing" step, but still same result:

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion, I have noticed many more application crashes (on launch, on quit or at random times), spinning beachballs and use of the Force Quit hotkeys. Maybe Apple should pay more attention to its computer business instead of playing in the fashion biz.

Did it work when you started it directly from the CD?
Does it work if you open start.htm in Internet Explorer?
I don't have much experience with Java issues, but one thing to try would be to clear Java's cache, which is separate from your browser caches. This article has the steps: [http://www.java.com/en/download/help/plugin_cache.xml How do I clear the Java cache?]

The Web application I am testing was having several issues related to loading Crystal Reports. It was fixed and I do not know which of the 1000 things I did to fix it; but now it began, again, to have the same behavior after I had a conflict with another Web site that was in the same server.
The thing is that I had another virtual directory where resided a copy of the same Web app. for testing purposes/working with the Visual Studio. The reports were loading all fine, very fast, all perfect... And suddenly the assemblies of one Web site and the other began to "blend" together and..... well the same behaviors appeared again. I tried to copy the last stable backup and rebuild the Web app... but it did not work.
At the very first time that one requests the report, it shows without problem. At the second time it shows an error message related to "cannot submit to background processing", and sometimes "object not set to an instance.." ... and on the third time it just never shows up and the app. becomes unresponsive. I have to close the window and request the Web site again in another browser window. If I wish to see the report again I have to wait for hours until it shows it.
I am using Visual Studio 2003 and the Crystal Report version that was shipped with that Visual Studio version. I am working with Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2000. Below is the VB code:

I already have tried moving the Crystal Reports dll´s to the bin directory. ..... I have tried calling the Garbage Collector at page unload...I also have checked, inside the report, that the database is "up to date"... ... recycling the worker process of the IIS... etc...
I see that, in debbuging mode inside the Visual Studio, when the page loads the debbuging window shows a message notifying that the symbols related to the Crystal Reports dll's could not be loaded.
Should I need to modify the default properties of the database? I checked "database is case insensitive", "use indexes or server for speed".. I have tried checking and unchecking the box "performing grouping on server"
Oh by the way, my report has about 4 subreports in it. Each report loaded shows 1 or 2 pages.

i found it out that the apple mobile device is running yet there is no driver that is loading so that it can recognize my iphone
any suggestions on how to get the computer automatically to search the driver in the system32/drivers folder?
i already tried downloading the driver and copying into the folder and doing restart
i've also tried to reinstalling itunes and i used winrar to extract the applemobiledevice support and repaired but it didn't do anything
are there any other suggestions?

Sorry, I should have qualified that: in the past I have given dump/debug/log details to people in the 'Windows' world to try to solve problems that I've thought have needed immense details to resolve but since owning a Mac I have discovered that if I am thinking at that level of detail then I have lost the real plot and my pulling back and looking at things simply again has been an eye-opener, hence my suggestion in response to your question to simply 'get a Mac'.
Part of the 'issue' with Windows seems to be its varieties and variants (Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Edition (Build 7100), for example) and the range of various and variable hardware on which it can run, too often with random and non-deterministic results, not to mention the almost limitless and unnecessary combinations of user-configuration options and requirements!
Seriously, get a Mac if you are into the Apple world, even on the periphery, if you want an easier life (in my experience).

Farmville not loading server not found.

I can access facebook but cannot load farmville. Either server not found error appears or Firefox can't find the server at apps.facebook.com.

For the first time I cannot open my Excel. The report is saying:image not found, therefor the icon is showing on my desktop.
Before my Mac open with excel sheet, now it is not there anymore. I guess it it hiding somewhere. How to find it? As you can see I am not an IT . Please try to avoid hight tech wording.

Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when trying Excel.

Mac freaked out, would not 'load' pages, notes, sarfari

last night I could not get pages to work, I'd click on it, and the little color wheel would show up, had to use force quit. I tried notes, same thing. iPhoto would show the pics but wouldn't quit, had to force quit. I tried sarfari it would get the blue bar about 1/2 way across the home page address. I tried restarting, I tried to unplug and replug the machine. I turned it off for 2 hrs and came back, and everything seems okay. Any thoughts? I have 2
1) my wife had been using it and was taking alot of iphotos from the main page and putting them into a folder, did this jamb it up and was processing them?
2) it was hot in the room, and the computer was on for a long time, could it have over heated?? is there a way to tell??

Javascript to decide to load or not to load an applet

Hi experts,
I have the html containing two applets. I want that the second applet will be loaded or not depending on the result of the first one. How can I use javascript to check that? Now the bad result of the first applet is to redirect to other page but the second applet is always loaded.

Jared, you got a lot of response to this one in another forum, but to get the ball rolling here, I'll start with my proverbial $0.02.In general I prefer the level 0 approach. This tends to mean, however, that it's tricky to do other than hardcode the allocation for each allocation'family'. At least if you enter it into the parent, it's fairly easy to write one generic calc expression using @parentval since this will always hold the amt to be allocated.
