Exist there downloadable example apllications witch use multi-users managed by sessions Beans.

I have problems with my multi-users application (like you saw it). In fact, sessions mix between them.
1) Do you know if there are any configuration for sessionBean to accept many users?
2) Do you know if it's possible that tomcat or sun apllication server mix the sessions?

I'm not sure why i received it, I am the only user and I only call out via my Iphone wifi and, occasionally, my PC.

Basically as long as you don't make subscription calls from more than one device at the same time there shouldn't be an issue.

How does Essbase deals with multi-users connecting for reading and writing in the same time? How the global coherence of the database is controlled when users are updating dimension and data all together?

Video display errors with multi-user

When using the multi-user switching, the background image is distorted.
To recreate:
Establish user "B" with a background image on screen. I have three Spaces with three different images. All users logged out.
Login as user "A"
Login to user "B" using the Menubar to select the other user without logging out of user "A"
Note bar on right-hand side of screen and distorted colors.
User A has one of the Apple background photographs
User B has personal photographs from 8 MP camera
If user B is logged in from the Login Window then all is OK. Display issue only shows up when logging in from other user via fast user switching (or whatever that is called). If user B logs out and logs in again from the Login Window all is OK.

Can you post screenshots of the distortion, someone may recognize it.
What you describe sounds like one user as something running that doesn't work well with FUS (I think it's still called 'fast user switching' ).
You can disable all login items by holding alt as you click the login button. See if that has any effect. If it does you know you need to look at the users login items (in System Preferences > Users & groups). In not sure if the 'alt trick' works inside the fast user switching menu, so you may want to verify the flaw exists when going to the login window, then reboot & try the 'alt trick' with the same steps.
The other thing to try is using a background image that has been resaved via Preview's export (or another app). It's possible the file itself is a reason for the issue, do standard backgrounds do the same?

Z4: Word and OneDrive don't work with Multi-User

Hi,We are sharing the Z4 tablet among 4 in my family. For this I'm using the Android multiple users.The pre-installed MS Word worked for the main user or owner perfectly. Then I tried to install it for the second and third and fourth user. In all cases after starting Word for these users the message came up "download of additional content required". When clicking on "download" the app crashes. Then recently an update of Word was delivered via Google Play. Now the same happens for the main user. Deinstalling for all four users and reinstalling from Google Play didn't solve the issue.For MS OneDrive the issue is: it works for the main user. For the other users the Playstore gives the error message: "another user on this devices installed an incompatible version of OneDrive. Deinstall this first". Deinstalling and reinstalling didn't helped that issue either. Only one of the four users can use OneDrive. Any ideas on how to solve this? I do have the BKB50 and Word was my main reason to go for that combination with the Z4.Regards,Zampano

Microsoft Office for Android email support replied only with a standardized email. Beside of pointing to some FAQ it just offers to call the support hotline. Login Error from Users machine into BO Desktop Applications With LDAP user

Hi All,
I am getting a strange error and got stucked.I have searched in the forums and tried every possible thing but the problem remains same.
I am not able to login into any Client application using LDAP account.
The setup is:
Machine 1: Webserver
Machine 2: CMS and other servers
Machine 3: Clustered CMS server
LDAP is implemented and SSL is enabled between Machine 2 and LDAP server.
Now when i am into Machine2 and try to login into Client application using LDAP it works for me also for Web Application(CMC, Infoview)
When i am into user machine I am able to login into Client Application (Designer, Desktop Intelligence etc) using enterprise account, but not with LDAP account. However i am able to login to web Application using LDAP account from users machine.
All the ports are open and can connect to CMS machine and database repository connectivity is also OK.
One interesting thing i would like to share that if i am login into Infoview using LDAP account and If i go for editing a report it opens Desktop Intelligence for me (LDAP user) and there is a entry in System name when i login into Deski.That entry in system name is CMS Machine name,Port number, full domain, (J2EE Portal) written in last.
Using this entry in System I can Login using LDAP account but first should do the process (Login to Infoview, Edit The Report) for every user machine.
Please help me out where i am getting wrong.
The error with Client application and LDAP user is USR0013. Can not Access the repository.

My guess would be that client apps don't have access to the SSL directory defined in the LDAP config but the web/app does. When you edit a report it launches deski in 3-tier mode still using the web/app so this isn't surprising behavior. There are SAP notes on this in SMP key words LDAP SSL deski should return the result. The link to SMP is in the forum sticky at the top of the administration forum.

How to duplicate applications with assigned users?

i will duplicate an application including all users and all dependence
I was setting.
The problem is, we have more as 50 OUs and must assign this in each
application object.
I would like to copy a application-object and modify the parameter of

ZFS:TED can do this for you. It can even do the associations to groups or
containers. The only parameters it will change, would be the source path.
So if you created the golden app in London and are distributing the app to
New York, the apps source both would be changed to point to the New York
server. TED is a very powerfull product and all the customers I have
installed it for, love it.

Close all apps with multi users???

Is there a way to logout to let other users use the computer and not have to close all your open applications?
I have 3 users
User 1 to be using email, Things and have iTunes open.
User 2 needs system so user 1 logs out but wants to keep all applications open.
User 2 needs system to check email and surf the Internet... then logs out to let User 3 on-line.
User 3 wants to surf Internet for a bit then also logs out.
User 1 wants to go back on to continue work.
Can User 1 do this without having to close all the applications he had open?

Turn on Fast User Switching in the Accounts System Preferences. When you want to switch users (or return to the login window), select the account from the FUS menu in the right side of the menu bar.

Yes such kind of application is very much possible with FMS - with and without peer-to-peer. Peer to peer would save lot of bandwidth cost in long run.
But question of configuration is not pretty straightforward - it will depend upon requirements of your solution like how the traffic would be - whether it would be two way or one way , how high bit rates would be , whether it would be only audio or video too , whether one machine would suffice or you would have to go for bunch of them to load balance and many others.

Updating my application with the users

Im in the process of making a java application.
Im making a complete application but i need to update it on a regularly basis on the users machines. Its a financial application and there are a lot of changes every year to the application, so theres no way i can avoid making changes to it.
So how do i update the application?
Can i just download a new jar file for each new version and use it instead of the old?

1) The InstallShield installer might offer, what? Windows and Linux/Unix variants? The user has to pick the correct one. Webstart works for Mac, Unix/Linux and Windows. No 'choice' necessary on the user's part.
So, ultimately starting a downloaded webstart app. is just as easy as starting your InstallShield app., but the IS app. user has to click the 'Update' button, which is not necessary for webstart, unless you wish to take active control of the download, and attach it to your 'update' button.
I'm just curious as to what your next (pathetic) excuse for not trying webstart will be.

Any way to share applications with two users?

My sister's PC just up and started not working on her, so I've made her an account on my Macbook. Although, I have some applications (like Microsoft Word) that I don't exactly feel like reinstalling on her computer. Is there a way that I can drag and drop those applications into some folder, so that she'll be able to use them on her account?

Applications that need no installer,
always drag them into your Applications folder
(so all users accounts can use them).
Apps that need an installer, are automatically installed in the Applications folder
(so any account can use them).
Some rare installers will ask
"install only for this admin user or for all users?"
Then choose "all users".

Howto work on ONE repository with multi-user

hi guyz, im new in using warehouse builder. i got a problem in using a single repository (with one target database and one source) which is used by multiple user to design a lot of dimensions n cubes.
is it possible 2 do it? if yes, how? cuz my frenz and i were trying 2 design and then deployed / saved the dimensions n cubes simultaneously but it juz ended with data lost (dimensions and cubes dat already made). is there any solution 4 it???

Firstly, you should set up an OWB user for each user if you haven't already done so rather than use a shared user id.
Secondly, you should make one person responsible for controlling the changes to the dimensions/cubes and allocating who will make the changes, when they will be made and when they will be deployed. You need control within your project/data warehouse team, you can't expect OWB to do this part for you.
You may also want to have separate OWB projects to split the work up a bit but this can add additional complications with e.g. process flows.
Lastly, you may also want to consider separate projects per environment e.g. DEV, QA, LIVE.

Will Lightroom help with multi user access to library in OSX 10.9?

I just bought my first Apple gear. iMac and iPads for family. I downloaded some photos to the iMac via iPhoto and tried to allow other users to share the library. This caused major headaches. Prompts to repair permissions constantly appeared, even after permissions were changed. After a visit to the Apple store for a One to One session, it seems that the OS cannot provide this simple functionality (in windows I simply changed folder permissions and it all worked, access granted).
In OSX 10.9 I have to create a disk image, move the library there and add tweaks to auto mount the disk image volume on startup;

I have a NAS for backups, so buying another external HD I don't need is a waste of money. Surely there must be a simpler way for all users of our iMac to have access to the photo library. I thought it would be a simple folder permission issue.
Would using Lightroom instead of iPhoto to download and organize my photos and videos solve the problem or is the problem due to the way OS 10.9 works? Would Lightroom provide the same quick sharing functionality with links to Facebook and local email apps etc? Thanks.

Thanks all for the input. I now have a partitioned external HD. One partition for my iPhoto library and one for Time Machine. All users can now view the photos without being prompted for permission repairs every time iPhoto is launched (amongst other errors, my head is still spinning) . I will backup the photos on the external HD to my NAS.
I have no photos stored on my iMac's HDD, because it just doesn't work. Allowing access to the library when stored on the iMac's HD across multiple users was a headache that a senior Apple phone support tech struggled with for almost 2 hours (using remote access to view my system), and still the solution fell short. The man was very patient and friendly. He was also knowledgable. Everything he directed me to do made sense. We went around in circles setting permissions for almost 2 hours. It didn't quite work. Still had users being denied access.
Seems crazy, but having no photos stored on my brand new iMac is the best solution I can come up with. Glad I didn't spring for the SSD.

Open Flex application with unauthenticated user

The standard login screen should appear as it is the case when I open the WebDynpro HTML version of the same application.

This is a limitation with the Flex renderer. VC generated Flex application must always run within SAP Portal.

Sharing programs with multi user MacBook Pro?

Just got the latest MacBook Pro. I am setting up two different users on this MacBook. I stared with the Admin and loaded Parallels, Win7 and assorted Win7 programs. Today I added the second user. However, Parallels and the other programs are not available to this user. Coming from Win7 once you install things from the Admin side the programs are available to all users. How do I make these programs available to the other user on Mac?

Like, we have this Mac downstairs that my whole family uses and I wanted to be able to have separate user accounts for everyone.
I mean fair enough. On my Windows machine if I buy Microsoft Office and install it on 1 user account, all other user accounts can use it as well...
I was rather sarcasticlaly told that I needed to purchase 4 Macs and buy everything 4 times.
Not having a dig at Apple or anything I mean there is probably some legal reason...just didn't really make sense to me.
