ApplicationVerificationFailed with keychain-access-groups Entitlements

Hi,
We have a hard time compiling a release version of our AIR app for IOS.
We had a first version compiled and submitted succesfully to Apple.
Wa are trying to build a new release version, but are now stuck with the "ApplicationVerificationFailed" message when trying to deploy this app on a device (with a inhouse sdk mobileprovision)
In this new version we added "keychain-access-groups" Entitlements to allow the app to share Keychain data.
If we remove the Entitlements part of the application descriptor, it succeed with compilation and install on device over usb.
Has anyone experienced problems with setting "keychain-access-groups" properties ?
I found these posts that are a bit outdated, and we even tried the old workaround solution with codesign on a mac without success either...
Adding iOS entitlements to AIR apps
iOS5 support for AIR/Using external SDKs to package apps
I'm really stucked with this, as we are releasing a group of applications, that should share license crendentials, with some of the applications developed in native languages and some in AIR.

Hi,
Solved this, i had a bad bundle prefix id in the Entitlements section. (i build with inhouse sdk for internal releases and standard sdk for appstore releases)
I found the issue looking at the ios console log with this tool (i'm on windows) : iPhone Configuration Utility 3.6.2 for Windows
The log told me that there was an issue with the "keychain-access-groups" value not valid for the current provisionning profile.
I will actually invest a little time in writing build scripts, as the process of manually switching between dev/inhouse/appstore releases is not error proof...

  • Synch iPhone with Keychain Access?

Is there a way to sync my Keychain Access entries to my iPhone? I'm not even sure I am using KA correctly. I create a new password, which is always an application password, for anything - mostly websites. I'd like to be able to sync this kind of information to my iphone and access it from the iPhone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't sync your Mac Keychains with the iPhone, but you can sync all types of passwords using the "1Password" Mac and iPhone password manager:

  • Please Help With Keychain Access and Safari Passwords!

    Hello,
I would like to take advantage of the capabilities that Keychain Access has to offer... I like how it can store passwords from websites. I have stored several website passwords in Keychain Access and currently have it set to where it asks for my keychain password when first opening Safari, and then it automatically fills in my passwords that are stored in Keychain Access in the corresponding websites. However, when I close Safari completely, the next time I open Safari it already has my passwords filled in, without asking for my keychain password. The only way I have found to make Safari ask for my keychain password every time it is opened is to select "lock all keychains" in Keychain Access. It is a pain to have to open Keychain Access every time I close Safari in order for Safari to ask for my keychain password again. Is there a more simple way to make Safari ask for my keychain password everytime I open Safari?

Hi, okwildthing. Welcome to the forums!
    Try this:
Open Keychain Access and find "Safari Forms AutoFill" in the list. Double-click it and go to the "Access Control" tab. (You may need to enter your keychain password at this point.) Remove Safari from the "Always allow access by these applications" list. Press "Save Changes."
Does this get Safari to do what you want it to do?

  • Issue with keychain access in Safari

Hello everyone! I have a strange problem. After I used the migration assistant in Mac OS X 10.5.6 my keychain has all my old passwords etc. but Safari doesnt fill the password field. It only fills the name of the user. For example I visit a webpage where I have to sign in as username "joe" and password "doe". Now in the field for the username "joe" does appear, but the password field stays empty.
When I delete "joe" from the username field and type it again into it, the field for the password is automatically filled out with the right password. How can I reset or refresh the keychain to work properly?!
    Thanks!!

  • Troubles with icloud with keychain access

I am trying to figure this out. On my mac I always get a pop-up window telling me that I need to approve my keychain from other devices in order to have access to passwords. However I don't know how to approve it from other devices, no pop-up window comes up.
I would appreciate any suggestions or feedback.

    Hey Dorian O.,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are receiving notifications on your Mac to approve iCloud keychain. Have you tried using your iCloud security code or your SMS-capable device instead?:
Frequently asked questions about iCloud Keychain - Apple Support
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204085
How do I set up iCloud Keychain on a new device without another device to approve from?
If you can't access any of your other devices that are using iCloud Keychain, you can still set up iCloud Keychain on another device if you have these items:
    Your iCloud Security Code
The device that is using the SMS-capable phone number you provided when you first set up iCloud Keychain. A verification code is sent via SMS to this phone number. If you can't access this number, contact Apple Support, who can verify your identity, so that you can complete setup on your new device.
After you complete the setup, your iCloud Keychain will be pushed from the cloud to the new device.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Asking for password for keychain access, but won't accept my password... What's up with this?

Restarted my MacBook just now and it's got a continuous stream of pop ups asking for password for keychain access, won't accept my password, won't go away (cancel), any suggestions.

    Hello Al323,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with Keychain Access on your Mac.  I found a couple of articles I suggest for the issue you described.
Your keychain uses your the same password as your login password.  If it is not accepting that password, I recommend running the Keychain First Aid using the steps in this article:
Mac OS X 10.6: Solving problems with keychains
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH7296
If you are still repeatedly seeing a prompt to enter your Keychain Access password, you may need to reset your keychain.  This will create a new keychain so any saved passwords on the old keychain will not be available, and you will need to enter them when accessing sites for the first time again.  Follow the steps in the article below to create a new keychain:
OS X: Keychain Access asks for keychain "login" after changing login password
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1631
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Sheila M.

  • Keychain Access to recover password: "Access to this item is restricted."

I need to recover my network password, which I saved in my keychain, but can't figure out how to get it using keychain access.  I've tried to get keychain access to reveal other passwords which I do know, but I can't get it to show them either.  Here's what I tried to do:
Opened Keychain Access, found the network name, and double clicked on it.  A window describes its attributes popped up, but the password field was blank.  Clicking on the "Show password" box brought a window saying "Access to this item is restricted."  I tried to retrieve other passwords in the keychain today using the same method with the same results.
I'm running Snow Lion, version 10.6.8.

OK, I played around with keychain access for a while, but finally hit on it.  For the benefit of others with the same problem, here's what worked:
There are two sections on the left sidebar, Keychains and Category.  I'd chosen "Passwords" in the Category section, and eventually, in poking just about everything in that window, I clicked on an arrow which expanded the Keychains section.  I kept playing until I clicked on System in the Keychains section.  That brought up all of my past networks.  I double-clicked on my current network's name and once again clicked on the "show password" box.  This time I was asked for my admin password, hit enter, and vois-la! there it was.
The only thing that had happened in the meantime was that I ran Keychain First Aid's verify and repair (found in Keychain Acces's File menu).  I have no idea whether this is what changed things, or if it was just expanding the Keychains section, but now I can view any of my passwords in the Paswords choice in the Category section.
Who knows if this will help anyone, but I'll go to some of the other recent threads and post a link to this thread in case it can.

  • Mac KeyChain Access App Hangs when NOT connected to WiFi

    Hi,
I am facing a problem with Keychain Access hanging and wifi connection in OS X 10.9.1 (Mavericks).
I use a Time Capsule as a base station and 13" Macbook Air (2012). The base station is connected to the internet through a PPOE connection.
    Here are the details.
Since upgrading to OS X 10.9.1, my Mac automatically connects to preferred wifi network ONLY WHEN the wifi is available at start up or when the Mac wakes up from sleep, but not otherwise.
Before the upgrade, the Mac automatically connected to the preferred wifi network not just at start up, but whenever the wifi became available.
In other words, after the upgrade, if I boot up the Time Capsule base station and the Mac simultaneously, the Mac scans for the base station wifi network (this is configured as the top preferred wifi network) at start up, but since the base staion is still booting up, the Mac doesn't find the wifi.
But once the base station has booted up and wifi is available, the Mac no longer bothers to join it.
At this point, if I click on the Keychain Access application, IT HANGS (I see a rainbow-colored rotating disc/ball).  And it continues to hang UNLESS I do ONE of the following to get the Mac connected to the wifi.
    1. I manually select the preferred wifi network using the wifi icon at the top of the screen;  OR
    2. I put the Mac to sleep (by closing the cover) and then wake it up.  On wake up, it connects automatically to the preferred wifi network; OR
    3. I turn off the wifi (using the wifi icon on the top) and turn it back on, at which point, the Mac automatically connects to the preferred wifi network.
As soon as the Mac gets connected to the WiFi, the Keychain Access application STOPS hanging and open up normally.
I also noticed that Keychain Access DOESN'T HANG (even if the Mac is not connected to the wifi), if I do the following:
    1. Go to Network preferences;
    2. Uncheck "Ask to join new networks";
    3. Click on the "Advanced" button, select wifi tab, and remove all preferred wifi networks and uncheck "Remember networks this computer has joined".
I obviously want to set preferred wif networks, so the above workaround to avoid Keychain Access hanging is not acceptable.
I have tried everything possible including contacting Apple support, but so far the issue is still unresolved.
Appreciate any help you can provide.
    Prem

There was a hotfix for this put out just after V25.
Unfortunetly you have to rebuild your viewer and submit and update to Apple. From my experience they were very quick about approving the update because of the critical nature of the update even without putting in an expediated review request, but that was over a month ago.

  • Have problems with Keychain

I'm having massive problems with my keychain. They are not the same password as my main password to my computer itself, so everytime I open up the browser, or Safari, rather...the keychain window keeps popping up. How do I resolve this?

    Hi
If you have a different keychain password from your log in password this is to be expected
However there is a work around you can try open the keychain access application and go to preferences click on the first aid tab and look at the "change login keychain settings" check that box and your keychain will always be unlocked you could toggle it on and off as needed
Also with "keychain access" open go to the menu bar and click on the edit option and then click on "change settings for keychain login" if either of the top 2 boxes are checked uncheck them
It might be easier to use your login password to open your keychain and you can do this in this in the "keychain access" preferences in the first aid box just check the 2nd and 3rd check boxes and your keychain will unlock at login
    Hope This Helps

  • Access-Group

    Hi,
Basically, there would be "access-group" under which there would be multiple "rules" listed. This "access-group" would be then applied on desired interface.
When some transactions matching them generated a message is logged with the "access-group" (ex: PIX-4-106023).
Is it possible to get the exact rule within the "access-group" that matched ? If so do let me know.
    thanks,
    -S-

    Hi Michel,
Appreciate your reply. Your suggestion would get the total hits for the rule defined with-in the group.
Consider the below case (some sample rules),
    access-list outside_access_in; 2 elements
    access-list outside_access_in line 1 permit tcp x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0 any (hitcnt=0)
access-list outside_access_in line 2 deny tcp any any eq FTP (hitcnt=0)
Now, assume we have a transaction matching rule 2. I would love to see the exact rule along with Source-Destination combination in the logs. Like connection from source X to destination Y was dropped as rule "outside_access_in line 2" doesn't permit.
Is this possible ? Pix is giving the group name & not the exact rule within it. Hope i am clear with my requirement :-( .
    thanks,
    -S-

  • Problem transferring keychain access to new iMac

just bought a new iMac, but am having problems with keychain access which has not automatically transferred with Migratiin Assistant.
can anyon help please? My old computer is also an iMac.

Are you really using 10.4.9? 'Apple Menu > About this Mac' should tell you the correct OS X version number.
The keychain is stored inside your home 'library'
On your old Mac or old backup find the /Users/YOUR-OLD-USERNAME/Library/Keychains folder. This may be hidden! You will need to use the Finders 'Go Menu > Go to Folder…' to open the library within that folder. Just drop the old home folder into that field to complete the path and add /Library to the end of it.
Double click that file & it should import that into the Keychain Access database.
Eject the backup & double check that you can still read items in the old keychain. It should copy it into the new library - but I cannot recall if 10.4 behaved the same way.

  • ACS 5.3 Authorization problem with using Identity Groups in Access Policy Rule

Hello guys, I am found a problem which I can't solve regarding authorization with using Identity Groups in Access Policy rule.
ACS version: 5.3.0.40.6 (internal build B.839)
I have very simple RADIUS Authorization rule which authorize user on behalf of right Identity Group.
    Requested Identity Group exist
Testing user is created in Internal Users and has assigned requested Identity Group
    Radius Access Policy:
Authentication against Identity Store Sequence, where authorization server is external RSA SecurID device and additional attributes retrieval is configured from Internal Users.
Authorization is very simple – One Rule with only one Condition which is: Identity Group - in - Requested_Testing_Rule. Then Default rule is set to Deny.
When I will try login with my testing user then authentication against RSA SecurID is OK, but authorization will be denied by Default rule – It looks like my Rule with Identity Group is totally omitted.
I am managing several other ACS servers (version 5.3 but with older patches) where similar rules are working without problem.
    What I am tested:
Remove testing user and create his account again.
    Rename Identity Group
    Use another Identity Group
Remove Access Policy rule and create it again
    Use Compound Condition: System:Identity Group
Use Compound Condition: System:UserID instead of Identity Group in Rule (it is working without problem)
Do you have any idea where problem can be?

OK guys, it started working yesterday without any configuration change. Maybe it was some database inconsistence wich was solved by ACS itself.

  • Hello there! am new to mac and had been using my mcbook pro for like a year now with no problem but last Monday, I started having concerns about my keychain access.. every time i open the mac it asks for my keychain password.. what can i do?

    Hello there!
I am a new Mc Bok Pro user and had been using my mac since Sept, 2012 with no problem. Just recently however, I have been experiencing a Keychain access problem. Specifically, whenever I open the mac, it asks for my keychain password... Can I restore my mac to its condition before Jan. 18, 2014? What should I do?
    Thanks everyone!

  • User in 2 user groups always picks the rights from the group with least access -BOBJ 4.1 SP2

We have BOBJ 4.1 SP2 installed.
Lets say User1 is in a role1(User group) that has restricted access(no access to design menu for WEBI report in launchpad). Works fine when User1 logs into the launchpad. Cannot see the Design menu in Launchpad.
User1 is also in another role2(user group) that has Design access for WEBI report (more like Power user access).
Now when logged into a launch pad via SAP portal, and opening WEBI report on which role2 (user group) is applied that has Design access, user1 cannot see the Design menu of WEBI report. This is probably happening because User1 is also part of role1 that has restricted access. So it looks like it is always picking
the role with least access and applying it no matter which report I am opening.
I would expect the role to regulate the authorizations on the report. And one user could be a simple end user for one report and a power user for another report.
Please advise if this is a Known issue or expected behavior. Is there a work around?
    Thank you very much
    Suman

    Hello Suman,
Try avoid denial based security rights assignment instead you can specify the  unspecifed. As Greg said
    Denied + Granted = Denied
Denied + Not Specified = Denied
Granted + Not Specified = Granted.
You should not deny rights for HR End User usergroup, Instead make them as unspecified. If you do so the whenever the user part of both the groups , your security rights aggregation would be
Granted + Not Specified = Granted.
Make sure you follow the approach as above.  You can refer the blog below for how to structure the folder, report and User group hierarchy and effective maintenance of security
