Apply an update for O365

Hi, we have deployed Office 365 C2R in our environment and we are now ready to apply our first update.
We used the Office Deployment Tool to install the first version and we disabled the updates to free our external link bandwidth.
We are also using ConfigMgr 2012 to make the deployment.
Now, we are trying to install a newer version but when launching the install using the Office Deployment Tool and waiting for a bit, we have this error message:
The installation is doing well but the message stay there all the time unless someone click on the ok button, even after the install is done.
I would like to know if someone else is having this issue and/or how to make sure that this message will not show itself during the install.
We are installing version 15.0.4641.1002 over version 15.0.4615.1002.

Thanks for the feedback. I think you already have the latest version of ODT tool (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36778).
So the Online Repair did fix the issue. An Online Repair will essentially uninstall and reinstall Office 365. Maybe you can give the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) a try and see if it helps. I haven't tested it myself because
I don't have the specific environment.

    You may need to delete active-update.xml and updates.xml as well if present.

    If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
    You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
    Do a clean (re-)install:
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

    Tasc_redleader which update exactly are you trying to apply?  Your screen shot indicates an update to Photoshop CS6 but your installation log appears to be for Extension Manager CS6.

    I am attempting to deploy the security update for Acrobat 8.1.2 [http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb08-15.html] via computer startup script in AD.
    I am receiving this error message;
    "No qualifying products found to apply this update"
    My script to apply this update looks like this;

    Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or have an idea for a resolution?

    No problems, then again I've done a manual install.
    First question would be can you install the update manually on the target machine.
    Also check the version of reader/acrobat installed on the target machine.

    There is a security update for Firefox (Firefox 10.0.2) which you should apply. Unfortunately, it looks as if the updater on your Firefox is messing up somehow.
    The easiest way to work around this and get you secure is to go to [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com], and download the latest version of Firefox there. After it downloads, go ahead and run the installer over your current Firefox. None of your settings will be changed, but it will apply the security fix, and you will be all good to go!

  • When I try to download update, I save the file as directed. However, the update is not applied. How do I apply the update for Firefox?

    I am being prompted to download the update to a new version of Firefox. When I click on download, I receive a window to save the file. I save the file instead of canceling. After the download has been saved, my version of Firefox still has not been update. How do I apply the update?

    Thanks Alex, but sadly I already tried that. Neither .docx or .xlsx files show up in the content list. They both show as a Chrome HTML document so changing how Firefox addresses those doesn't help since it thinks its the same type of file. I don't think I can manually add files into the "Content Type" left side nav.

    Please run sfc /scannow command to scan all protected system files after installed this update.

    Have you tried deleting the plist from the Library folder?
    If this doesn't work, you could import the old version of iPhoto version of iPhoto from Time Machine and try the update again.

    But I have updated Firefox. And if I tell it to do the update, it runs and runs and runs but nothing ever happens. It has a 'view more information about this update' link but the link does not work.

    According to your user agent string you are not using the latest version of Firefox. It shows you have version 4.0, the latest version is 4.0.1
    In the Help menu select "About Firefox", this should check for updates and then let you install the latest version.
    If that does not work, try downloading the latest version from http://www.mozilla.com/ then installing it over your current version.

    As stated this happens soon after start up of the program quite often, maybe 40% of the time.

    Did you ever use a Firefox 4 beta or release candidate version?
    Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • I recieved a notice that there was an update for Elements 13 but when I try to install it it stop's half way through then I get the error message that "updates could not be applied" I have tried several times and it continues to give me the error. What is

    I get a message that an update is available and when I install it the update stops half way through and I get the error code: U44M1I210 for Camera Raw and Elements 13.1 updates. I get the message "UPDATES COULD NOT BE APPLIED" Can someone help with this? Thank you. David

    Is your Premiere Elements 13 on Mac computer?
    I have not seen much in the way of alternatives coming from Adobe on the Premiere Elements 13.1 failed updates.
    But there seems to be several discussions on U44M11210 in the CC products...one

    You could try the uninstall, free ccleaner, reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s)  and then try for the Help Menu/Update for 13.1..

  • Update Managed Metadata field in SharePoint 2013 Designer Workflow for O365

    Hi Guys,
    I need to update the managed metadata field in SharePoint Custom List using Workflow but its not working. I have also tried to use the HTTP WebService POST Operation but no luck.
    Am doing this for a SharePoint Online (O365) Site.
    Has anyone worked on something similar and was able to get it running ?
    I saw a post to create a custom Workflow Activity but I don't have a choice to go with the custom code option.

    I was able to achieve this by creating a SP 2010 based Workflow for O365. Which means that it worked well with SP 2010.
    Is there a different way to do it in 2013 ? I tried almost all options apart from creating custom Activity but nothing worked out.

    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to update Managed Metadata field with SharePoint 2013 Designer for SharePoint Online.
    As far as I know, there is not an OOB action to achieve your requirement with SharePoint 2013 Designer for SharePoint 2013. Customizing a workflow action is a better option to achieve it.  Why didn’t you customize a workflow action as Patrick’s blog?
