Apply display properties to all  prompt pages

Hi,
I am using obiee 11.1.1.6. I have 1 dashboard and 2 pages in the dashboard . Page 1 of the dashboard consists of 1 Dasboard prompt and 1 analysis. Page 2 consists of the Same prompt as Page 1 and different analysis based on the prompt . When I take use a prompted link of the dashboard and use  the same link to the differnt IE( interent ink tab)  prompt of Page 2  doesnt not work . The selection is not working for Page 2 but works for Page 1 . I have defined the scope of the Prompt to be a Dashboard level. And the icon of apply display properties to all prompt pages is gryed not and doesnt allow me to select anything. What might be the issue

Hi again JaredA
I'm not trying to be a PITA here, but if you edit a Text
Caption and click the Help button, you should see a topic titled:
Text Caption properties dialog box - Text Caption tab
Inside this topic, there is a line that reads:
Apply properties to all captions in the movie: Select this
option to apply the changes you made on this tab to all captions in
the movie. (List of properties that are applied, and are not
applied, to all caption items)
And note that the word "List" is a hyperlink. When clicked,
it reads:
The following properties are applied to all caption items if
this option is selected:
* Caption style
* Font type
* Font size
* Font color
* Transition
* Show caption before mouse movement
The following properties are not applied to all caption items
if this option is selected:
* Text and text properties (bold, center, and so on)
* Time
Granted, it does not explicitly say that the callout pointer
direction will not be changed, but as it is not listed among the
attributes that ARE changed, I believe that's a pretty decent hint.
Personally, I believe the issue is one of simply becoming
familiar with the way an application behaves. My guess is that it's
not all that common that someone would want to change all the
caption directions, hence the design. But it's just a guess on my
part.
Cheers... Rick

  • To Display Logo on all the pages of Excel Sheet using OLE

    Dear friends,
                         I have developed one report using OLE which display output in Excel. I have display logo using OLE.
    I am able to display logo on first page of excel sheet. but I am not able to display it on all the pages.
                        Need your help. Please, suggest any good solution.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sandip Sonar

    Excel repeats only HEADER and FOOTER information on every page. The data on cell is relevant only for that page.
    If you want to print something on every page in Excel, you will have to include it on HEADER/FOOTER section of the excel file.
    To check this, go to excel, on meny go to File->PageSetup. Then select Header/Footer Tab... select Custom Header or custom footer.
    Whatever you inset here (including image) will be printed on every page of Excel. Don't know OLE property to set this but I feel something should be available to set custom header footer for your file.

  • Display properties tab

    Well everything is working fine, except...
    Well basically I uninstalled the MSI drivers and installed the latest NVIDIA drivers from their website. Now my Display Properties have all the tabs from the MSI dual core center(or another MSI product). The only things I have is the MSI Update tools. I would like to know how to remove these tabs from my Display Properties(where you change your screen saver and wallpaper). I looked in my add and remove programs window and I dont see anything that relates. I would love if someone could tell me how to remove it (whether it be regedit or some other way). I've looked around in regedit and I didn't have much luck. I think when I just directly removed the driver it left it there. But I dont really want to uninstall my Nvidia drivers, reinstall MSI drivers, then uninstall and then reinstall my nvidia drivers... if you get what I mean. Anyhow thanks in advance!
    Help is appreciated. BTW, the Geforce 8600GTS is pretty dope, love the card.

    goffy59,
    Always glad to help.
    Take Care,
    Richard

    Create an include page with jsp:useBean and so on and include that page in all 15 pages using jsp:include.

  • Sharepoint 2010 - Home Page not displaying, all other pages work fine

    The web page URL <server>/sitepages/Home.aspx is not displaying when accessed. All other pages work fine. We changed the default welcome page to another page, and that works. When we try to access the Home.aspx, it displays "An unexpected error
    occurred" message. The Home.aspx only contains a couple of Lists, with Links, and a calendar. The other odd thing is that the Home.aspx displays in SharePoint designer in Advanced Edit mode, but won't display in a browser. Any ideas?

    Hi Isepic,
    1) Check the approval of the page (Home.aspx) whether it is in pending state .
    2) OR might be some problematic webpart is added in the page. You can try to close it and access. To do that,you can try to access the web part maintenance page of home.aspx and test by closing the webpart one by one.
         To access the maintenance page,pass the parameters ?contents=1 after the home.aspx
           For example, http://site url/home.aspx?contents=1
    3) Also,check the ULS logs after accessing the home.aspx to know what is happening.

  • How to display values of DFF on page.

    I have created an item on the page of the type flex.But it does not displays the DFF values on page.
    I have checked that the values are properly inserted into the VO instance used by flex item.
    What else i need to do to display the DFF segments on page? Am I missing something here?
    I have set the flex properties as follow :
    View Instance - <View Object name> (I checked that the values are being set correctly in this VO)
    Rendered - True
    application short name - <application short name>
    name - <name of the DFF >
    type - descriptive
    Read only - false
    Display context field - true
    Thanks in Advance,
    Tanveer

    Hi all , I found this posting by Jon
    ---Jon text bellow
    I had the same problem a couple of weeks back in that we couldn't get context sensitive flex fields (Req Line) from displaying on the non-cat request page. The standard FlexField item does not render anything but Global segments. After raising a TAR the response was to disable the standard DFF page item and create a new FlexField item as follows.
    1) Login into iProcurement ( enable the profiles related to do Personalization )
    Goto the Page where you would like to display this DFF . You need to make sure that this region is based on
    View Object : PoRequisitionLinesVO .
    Click on the Personalization link and create a item with below values :
    Item Style = Flex
    ID = Procurement_Card
    Appl Short Name = PO
    Display Context Field = True
    name = PO_REQUISITION_LINES
    Prompt = Procurement Card --- you need to make sure that this matches to your Prompt in
    Context Field above .
    Read Only = False
    Rendered = True
    Type = Descriptive
    View Instance = PoRequisitionLinesVO
    This worked however we soon found that there was a major flaw in that the DFF's were only rendered when there were items in the shopping cart. That is that the VO was instantiated.
    After much reluctance Oracle raised a bug for this: 5169570 which we have been told to monitor.
    Very frustrating that this has not been implemented correctly!!!
    Jon.
    it was really helpfull but my DFF still dont dispalyed on non-catalog request form . how I can verify what view instance Region is using
    View Instance = PoRequisitionLinesVO
    sorry question might seems stupit but I am very new to OAF and iProcurement
    Thanks Artur

  • Modifying a template resulted in all child pages with repeating editable regions - Help !

    Good morning,
    I have recently been appointed to update a website designed in Dreamweaver by an employee who is no longer here. I have read books on the software and practiced an insane amount which permitted me to update child pages, links, documents etc... however:
    I was asked to add a new button to an "non-editable" region of a template. Trying to do so resulted in a massive mess (with massive anxiety).
    Even thou the new template had all the same text and editable regions, all my pages look completely different from the template itself. The editable regions appears 2-3 times in different locations ex: Header is showed on the bottom, top etc... and the Editable region titles (EditableRegion1 etc...) repeat themselves as well.
    I really need help and not sure what to do, I have tried everything and I am only making it worse and worse. All I want/need is for all my html pages created with this template, match the template.
    Please note that this site is local, not online.
    Since I noticed on other threads that the code is needed; here it is:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

    font: 100% Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    background: #666666;
    margin: 0; /* it's good practice to zero the margin and padding of the body element to account for differing browser defaults */
    padding: 0;
    text-align: center; /* this centers the container in IE 5* browsers. The text is then set to the left aligned default in the #container selector */

    /* Tips for Elastic layouts
    1. Since the elastic layouts overall sizing is based on the user's default fonts size, they are more unpredictable. Used correctly, they are also more accessible for those that need larger fonts size since the line length remains proportionate.
    2. Sizing of divs in this layout are based on the 100% font size in the body element. If you decrease the text size overall by using a font-size: 80% on the body element or the #container, remember that the entire layout will downsize proportionately. You may want to increase the widths of the various divs to compensate for this.
    3. If font sizing is changed in differing amounts on each div instead of on the overall design (ie: #sidebar1 is given a 70% font size and #mainContent is given an 85% font size), this will proportionately change each of the divs overall size. You may want to adjust based on your final font sizing.
    .twoColElsLtHdr #container {
    width: 46em;  /* this width will create a container that will fit in an 800px browser window if text is left at browser default font sizes */
    background: #FFFFFF;
    margin: 0 auto; /* the auto margins (in conjunction with a width) center the page */
    border: 30px none #C4C4C4;
    text-align: left; /* this overrides the text-align: center on the body element. */
    padding-left: 10px;
    background-color: #FFF;
    border-top-color: #C4C4C4;
    border-right-color: #C4C4C4;
    border-bottom-color: #C4C4C4;
    border-bottom-style: outset;
    border-left-style: outset;
    border-top-width: thick;
    border-right-style: outset;
    border-top-style: outset;
    border-left-color: #C4C4C4;
    border-right-width: thick;
    border-bottom-width: thick;
    border-left-width: thick;
    .twoColElsLtHdr #header {
    padding: 0 10px;  /* this padding matches the left alignment of the elements in the divs that appear beneath it. If an image is used in the #header instead of text, you may want to remove the padding. */
    background-color: #FFF;
    .twoColElsLtHdr #header h1 {
    margin: 0; /* zeroing the margin of the last element in the #header div will avoid margin collapse - an unexplainable space between divs. If the div has a border around it, this is not necessary as that also avoids the margin collapse */
    padding: 10px 0; /* using padding instead of margin will allow you to keep the element away from the edges of the div */
    /* Tips for sidebar1:
    1. Be aware that if you set a font-size value on this div, the overall width of the div will be adjusted accordingly.
    2. Since we are working in ems, it's best not to use padding on the sidebar itself. It will be added to the width for standards compliant browsers creating an unknown actual width.
    3. Space between the side of the div and the elements within it can be created by placing a left and right margin on those elements as seen in the ".twoColElsLtHdr #sidebar1 p" rule.
    .twoColElsLtHdr #sidebar1 {
    float: left;
    width: 12em; /* the background color will be displayed for the length of the content in the column, but no further */
    padding: 15px 0; /* top and bottom padding create visual space within this div */
    background-color: #066;
    background-repeat: repeat-x;
    border-top-width: thin;
    border-top-style: none;
    border-right-style: none;
    border-bottom-style: none;
    border-left-style: none;
    border-right-width: thin;
    border-bottom-width: thin;
    border-left-width: thin;
    color: #FFF;
    padding-left: 0px;
    clear: left;
    .twoColElsLtHdr #sidebar1 h3, .twoColElsLtHdr #sidebar1 p {
    margin-left: 10px; /* the left and right margin should be given to every element that will be placed in the side columns */
    margin-right: 10px;
    background-color: #066;
    text-decoration: inherit;
    /* Tips for mainContent:
    1. If you give this #mainContent div a font-size value different than the #sidebar1 div, the margins of the #mainContent div will be based on its font-size and the width of the #sidebar1 div will be based on its font-size. You may wish to adjust the values of these divs.
    2. The space between the mainContent and sidebar1 is created with the left margin on the mainContent div.  No matter how much content the sidebar1 div contains, the column space will remain. You can remove this left margin if you want the #mainContent div's text to fill the #sidebar1 space when the content in #sidebar1 ends.
    3. To avoid float drop, you may need to test to determine the approximate maximum image/element size since this layout is based on the user's font sizing combined with the values you set. However, if the user has their browser font size set lower than normal, less space will be available in the #mainContent div than you may see on testing.
    4. In the Internet Explorer Conditional Comment below, the zoom property is used to give the mainContent "hasLayout." This avoids several IE-specific bugs that may occur.
    .twoColElsLtHdr #mainContent {
    margin: 0 1.5em 0 13em; /* the right margin can be given in ems or pixels. It creates the space down the right side of the page. */
    color:#069;
    background-color:#FFF;
    border-top-style: none;
    border-right-style: none;
    border-bottom-style: none;

    I am not suprised, the previous employee tried to recreate the English version of the site in another folder structure and did not change all links and was still using a template in the wrong location.
    I think I created the mess by trying to modify the existing template's non-editable region in order to add a new button. When trying to update all the pages, the fiasco started.
    Do you think the best option would be to create a new template in the correct folder structure and apply it? Would it fix the current pages or will I have to fix them all manualy on by one?
    I understand it is difficult to deal with a newbie of my magnitude and thanks again.

  • DIV not displaying properly, half way down page?!

    Hey Guys
    Really can't work this out. My code is below. I've also affixed a screenshot of what happens. The DIV no matter what you use, <p>, <h1> etc... It will display half way down the page! I've also affixed my CSS document for you to look at. I've tried deleting the slider JavaScript and CSS from the page with no results so I know it's not this. And yes, my code probably isn't the best way of doing things, tips appreciated as still learning!

    MANY THANKS! I appreciate your time!

    Height is not your friend.  The page/container height is always determined by the content inside it.  So adding explicit height values will often cause more pain than gain.   Suggest you start by removing all the height properties.
    Also, I don't see where you have cleared any of your floats.   You need to learn to do that.  Several methods available.
    Option #1 Use a CSS clearing class:
                   .clearing {clear:both; display:block; visibility:hidden}
    Insert this HTML after your floated boxes:
                   <hr class="clearing" />

  • Displaying content on multiple html pages

    I’m building a basic website for a business/charity I
    work in. I’m no pro so all my pages and templates are written
    in HTML. For convenience it would be nice to have sustain bits of
    info appear throughout the website on different pages. As I
    understand the best way to do this is to create a RSS feed and then
    have the relevant web pages display the feed.
    However I’ve been reading up on how to do this and I am
    finding it very complicated and am not even sure if it can be done
    with an HTML page. All the examples I have come across seem to be
    done in PHP. I’m not even sure what PHP is.
    My question therefore is: Firstly, is RSS, what I need, or is
    there a simpler way of having bits of text appear on multiple web
    pages? And, if so, can I have RSS feeds display in an HTML? And,
    again, if so, can someone point me in the right direction to do
    this in the most simple but yet still efficient/reliable way?
    Thank You
    Ps, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

    > Firstly, the web page displaying the SSI code seems to

    Yes. It is true *unless* the host enables server parsing of
    all extensions.

    file?s extension

    Name the file being included anything you want. It doesn't
    matter to its
    functionality as an included file.

    A properly constructed include file should only contain
    references to CSS
    rules specified in the parent page. That being the case, if
    you are editing
    the include file directly, you cannot style the text unless
    you are doing it
    in Dreamweaver, or unless you make reference to the existing
    styles
    specified in the parent page.
    Contribute does lots more than what you ask. Go to Adobe's
    site and read
    about it.

  • Title on all my pages

    Hi,
    I want the same title for all my pages.
    Right now I go into each page and type in the following under html header and body attribute.
    Edu-Met Interactive Systems
    Is there anyway we can put this on Page 0 (if so how can it be done), so that I dont have to do this every time I create a new page?
    I am running apex 4.0
    Thanks

    There's a theme 17 CSS rule:
    #logo {
        display: block;
        position: absolute;
        top: 16px;
        left: 10px;
    }This generates an absolutely positioned box for the logo element. The dimensions of the box are the dimensions of the element. The text <em>is</em> centered within this box.
    Get a proper web browser&mdash;none of this Internet Explorer rubbish&mdash;with a web inspector tool: Safari, Chrome, or Firefox+Firebug. Invoking the inspector on the elements you're interested in will reveal the CSS rules applied to them, the style sheets specifying these rules, and how the cascade determines which rules are in effect.

  • Change the displayed properties of the StandardSearchResultRender

    Hey,
    I would like to change the displayed properties in the StandardSearchResultRender of the SearchResultSet
    (SearchResultLayoutSet  --> StandardSearchResultRenderer --> Displayed Properties).
    I need a new Link such as Displayed Name of a document (rnd:displayname(contentLink/[1;2-3]/alignTop/space-right=30)).
    For this i made two new properties witch called "newdisplayname" and "newlink". In the StandardSearchResultRendere I added the line "rnd:newdisplayname(newlink/[5;2-3]/alignTop/space-right=30)" in the displayed properties. When I apply my changes the Portal shows me an error (The current configurable is invalid ). I don't know why it's invalid.
    Can anybody help me? How can I made a new link with an reference? Thanks.

    Hi Misel,
    > Is it right, that I can create my own modifier, if I modificate the code?
    In general, yes, but one should have heavy experience if starting to modify SAP code.
    > If yes, where must I modifie the code
    There are different classes, one example would be  com.sapportals.wcm.rendering.resource.cm.ResourceRenderer (that is almost supported to "modify", at least it is supported to create your own ResourceRenderer)
    > Is ther anywhere an example, or an document ore something else?
    No, absolutely not. This is really deep-digging into foreign code which in general is not supported at all by SAP.
    > Or is there an other option to show a link with an other caption?
    The easier way would be to create a property renderer and to implement that or the resource renderer by yourself; this also is officially supported: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/nw/NetweaverDevelopersGuide2004s/NetWeaverDevelopersGuide2004s_Documents/KM_articles_new/howto/km/flexui/Flexible%20UI%20Components.html
    Hope it helps

  • Need to display dynamic content on portal page

    I have an htmldb application that a client can upload doctor profiles for the web users to lookup and find a doctor within a certain radius. When they click on the doctor's name, it shows a profile of the doctor. I need to be able to display this information directly on the oracle portal instead of iframing it because i need it to be searchable. I created an xml report in htmldb and linked it to the oracle portal with an omniportlet. The test page can be seen at [http://portal2.bynum.com/portal/page/portal/test/xml%20data%20test]
    I need the link on the go to a page in portal and display the information from the database like it does on htmldb. Is it possible to:
    1. Add a drop down box in the omniportlet that allows me to chose all doctors whose last name begins with the letter in the dropdown box.
    2. Point the link to oracle portal, pass the object_id to the page, and display the doctor profile all in the portal instead of iframing from htmldb.

    Ok, i found the solution. I created a page with the parameters that i want passed in order to display the datbase content. the parameters where created in the page properties section for the page. I created id, first_name, and last_name parameters. Then i created a dynamic pl/sql web page with the dynamic html portlet included with oracle and tied those parameters to the queries. Dynamic content is now displayed when the omniportlet links to the page.
