Apply effect to only one video line

Does anyone know how to apply a transition to only one video line? Check out my video for further explanation.

Can't do that with that transition. It will always effect the adjacent clip coming in ot going out.

@Tylerdowner: hmm.. maybe yes.. I just want to use the DOWNTHEMALL AddsOn for the saving file not the default download.. because my costumer download MP3 files and save it 3 or more files at a time so my Internet Connection goes down :( so I just want to limit them to save 1 file at a time.
or if there is another way to limit it to 1.. please tell me :(

Only One Video on My AppleTV Computer Sharing

I share my iTunes videos and songs to my appleTV over the network from my Mac Pro.
Recently the sharing stopped on the AppleTV. I realized that my iTunes account had been logged out somehow. I logged back in and now I see on the AppleTV there is only one video when there were many before with playlists and genres. Just one now.
The only thing I can think of that changed recently is that I moved my iTunes media location to another internal hard drive to make space on my boot drive.
The one video that is showing up on AppleTV is on that drive though too. I don't think that should make a difference.

I figured it out. I changed the name of the library on my iTunes under preferences.
Then when I went to my iTunes I switched the library.
I think the library I was looking at was from my laptop instead of my desktop.

How to apply effects to only a portion of a track?

I recorded drums through a presonus firepod audio interface and my 2,16Ghz MacBook Pro on 4 different tracks.
There are some parts on the tracks where i'd like to apply some effects (like am radio kind of effects) but i can't seem to apply it on only the selected part. It seems to apply to the whole track...
Anyone wants to tell me how to do that?

To further expand on John's advice...
One way to do this with automation, is to send the outputs of your drum tracks to an Aux. Then set that Aux track as an input to another Aux track.
Put the radio effect plug-in on that second aux track, and mute it.
Using automation, you leave the first Aux track unmuted for the majority of the song, but when that section comes up, you unmute the second aux track, while you mute the first aux track. After the section passes, revert the mute status back to the way it was originally.
Using automation, you can fine tune this so it becomes seamless...
Just one of many ways to skin this proverbial cat...

Applying feathering to only one layer

Hi,
I'm created a two-part ad. One of the two parts (on two different layers) has a background image that I would like only the center to show up and the rest I'd like to whiten (about 90% opacity, leaving 10% of the background image visible) using feathering, as described in Feather Selections In Photoshop With Quick Mask
So, does anyone know how to apply such feathering on only one layer?

Hi, my son received a ipod nano 4th red . he was very happy but he cannot put more than one video when he has synchronized it with the i-tune. how come.
Actually i have a few video imported by i-tunes. have enough room on the i-pod he could synchronised only one. he could watch them by itunes

How many video lines does FCE V3.5 has?

I heard that there is only one video line as reflected by the review for FCE software.
Is that true?

Applying effects to multiple clips or an entire sequence on a separate video track

I'm looking for an easy way to apply effects on a separate video track. In AVID I would just drag and drop the effect preset onto a blank layer. Or if I wanted the clip to affect just a few clips, I would add two edits (similar to razor blade) on a separate video track and drag the effect preset between those edit points. Is there a way to do this in Premiere Pro? Running CS 5.0.4. Thanks for the help!

Well, depending on what you want to do, you might actually be able to use a clip instance of one sort or another.
One option is Transparent Video (File > New > Transparent Video); by itself, Trans. Video doesn't do anything, but some effects can be applied to it and will generate an output. This doesn't work with all effects, so you'll have to experiment. Check here for more: Create a transparent video clip
Another option would be to use a Color Matte (File > New > Color Matte) or Black Video (File > New > Black Video) clip. These do have an effect by themselves, so you could apply any effect you wanted to them, and then possibly use a Blending Mode to apply it. Black Video is common for this purpose, with something like the Add mode. Again, not perfect, but it will depend on the effect you're trying to achieve.
Unfortunately, we don't have anything like AE's adjustment layers in Premiere Pro. That would solve your problem, quickly.

Multiple line item in billing but only one line item in accounting document

I am having one scenario in which sales order has more than one line item. Only one billing document is create for all line items in Sales Order but billing document contains as many items as sales order has. In accounting document of billing i find only one customer line which has total amount of all line items in billing as debited. My requirement is Accounting document also should have as many line of customer-debit as in billing items i.e sales order. For example :
(1) Sales order has 2 line items.
(2) Billing document is only ONE and has 2 line items
(3) currently accounting document has only ONE line of Customet - Debit ( Total amount of both items)
My requirement is
Accounting document should have 2 line item of customer - Debit
Customer - Debit (amount of first line item)
Customer - Debit (amount of Second line item)
Sales - Credit
How can it be done ?

This is the SAP expected behaviour
As far as the values correspond to same account key and same GL account as per account determination, then ti will be posted as a single line item in FI document.
If you want the customer specific items to be posted in two GL accounts , then you have to do the account determination that way.
For example, you should have a condition table in FICO as follows.
Sales org/ Account key / Customer
For this condition table, the entries shoudl be as follows.
5110/ERS/Customer A GL ACCOUNT IS 5000100
5110/ERS/Customer B GL ACCOUNT IS 5000200
In this case, there will be 2 entries for the invoice instead of just one line entry.

Feature Request: Apply effects to group of clip instances

I have been trying to supply this feature request into the Adobe feedback form. But it appeared that it was too large to be posted in a single feedback form. So I had to split it into three distinct feedback forms.
I don't want this feature request to get lost just because those three parts can't be joined back into a single feature request again. So I'd like to post it here, requesting for comments, too...
This feature request is about applying effects to more than one clip:
a)
Currently, when selecting more than one clip, it's not possible to change any effects settings. The Effects Settings windows only shows a "Multiple clips selected" message.
Thus, I'd like to suggest the following:
When selecting more than one clip, the Effects Settings window should display any effects that apply to all the selected clips. Moreover, only those effect parameter values should be displayed having the same value across all selected effects. This on the other hand, of course, can only be displayed for effect parameters not having key frames/timing activated.
Editing any of the displayed effects' parameters should apply the new value to each currently selected clip instance.
b)
Then again, when using key frame/timing activated effect parameters, it is currently not possible to apply such effect to more than a clip, too. To apply such animated effects to more than one clip it is currently necessary to nest those clips into a separate sequence.
Thus, I'd like to suggest the following improvement:
It should be possible to apply effects not only to clips but also to a group of clips (Menu Clip > Group).
Activating animation/key framing to any of the effect settings of those effects being assigned to a clip group (in contrast to those effects assigned to any clip instance contained in the the group) will allow to add key frames spanning all clips of the group.
This way it will be possible to easily create, e.g., a zoom effect spanning several clips.
If there are clips in-between those belonging to the group, the group's effects won't be applied to those clips not belonging to the group. However, the effects' parameter values are continued to be calculated in the background.
So this example would be true:
- Available clips:

- Zoom video effect applied to the group, having two key frames added:

When a group gets ungrouped (Menu Clip > Ungroup), effects that had been applied to the group will be assigned to each individual clip of the group. For effect parameters that had key frames/animation activated, key frames will be created at the beginning and end of each of the clips. The previously calculated values will now be inserted at each automatically created key frame to mimic the grouped effect behaviour. This operation then would finalize the Ungroup operation involving clip group effects.

You could combine the Next/Previous Edit commands with either the Apply Video Transition shortcut or with a paste command if you had copied the transition you want.
OR... much easier if all you want is a bunch of consistent fade ins/fade outs...
On a single clip, keyframe opacity to create a fade in from the in point of the clip at the duration you like, e.g. 30 frames. Right click Opacity, and select Save Preset; give it a name, e.g. Fade In 30 Frames and set it to Anchor to In Point. Reset the effect and delete the keyframes, and then repeat this to create a fade out. Go to the out point of the clip, set keyframes, and once again, right-click Opacity and Save Preset; this time call it something like Fade Out 30 Frames and set it to Anchor to Out Point.
Now, you can simply select all of your clips in the sequence, and apply these presets by dragging them to the selection. Even though you created two presets, because you can only have one instance of Opacity on a clip, the keyframes from both presets will be added to that single effect. You have to do this with two presets--if you do it with one and use Scale, the keyframes will stretch out or compress to maintain a relative duration instead of an absolute duration.

If I have a list of Vimeo videos on a webpage, how can I use just one video frame and have all videos play in that one frame?

I am creating a page with a list of Vimeo video links. I want to have only one video frame on the page. So no matter which video link a user clicks on, the chosen video needs to play in that one video frame on the page. How do I do this in Muse?

You can use composition widget for this. Insert the video details in trigger container and then insert that corresponding vimeo video widget in that specific target container. So It would work like, users will click on different video buttons but the actual video will play on same frame which is actually a target container of composition.
The ID that we use for vimeo widget cannot be used for different videos on same time , because every video shares its own ID and url. But you can surely try the above.

Only 1 video out of several available to sync?

Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong here. I'd like to sync all the videos I've been taking with my Iphone4 back to iTunes. When I check the "movies" tab in iTunes, only one video from my phone is available to sync. Any suggestions?

Doing further research on this problem it seems it may (???) be a DNS problem. I read this thread

and as it suggests on one of the problematical iMac's I set the DNS server settings in System Preferences to use these DNS:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
The iMac in question now seems to be able to access most websites although it seems a fair bit slower than my Macbook Pro.
All of the Macs on my network have (from what I can establish) been getting their DSN info from the Airport Extreme which has in turn been getting it from the Astoria Networks ADSL router.
Although I appear to have found a temporary fix of some sort, what I don't understand is why, with 3 Macs which appear to have identical network settings, does my Macbook Pro have no problems accessing any websites whereas both of the iMacs can not unless I add these open DNS server addresses to System Preferences. It suggests to me there is some problem with either the ADSL router or the Airport Extreme handling or providing DNS for the 2 iMacs.
I'm a total non techie stumbling around on these issues, in a world where ISP or Apple customer support is next to non-existent, so any thoughts / suggestions would be very much appreciated!

ALE-IDOC- Multiple IDOCs gets triggered with only one output exists

Dear Gurus,
We need you help to resolve the issue being faced with IDOC in our system.
From Sales order , an EDI output ZF40 gets trigggered which is a order confirmation. This is being sent to a Logical system
(Partner type LS in IDOC) which is F4F (Partner no.)
Now the issue is at sales order level, only one output line with ZF40 is triggered and in processing log one IDOC no. is showing.
We have received complaint from the external party F4F that for a same sales order , multiple IDOCs (around 500 IDOC's each in 3min interval )are being received at their end. We have checked in SAP , all these IDOC's were triggered from SAP only. All IDOC's are in green in SAP. But from where these IDOC's got originated is not known.
We have checked the batch jobs and not seems to be triggered from there.
Is there any other way that IDOC can originate automatically.? Please advise your valuable inputs as it will help to stop triggering of IDOC's (around 11,000 so far) in SAP and in receiving system.

If your schedule line category is relevant for availability check - it means that you can't say in advance will it be confirmed or not and how many sched.lines it's going to have, you can estimate by "order simulate" but it doesn't mean that your real order will fully match to simulation.
If you are not doing any availability check (your materials are always available) - then your item will get current material availability date... but stil the number of schedule lines will depend on whether or not your required delivery date can be met taking into account pick/pack time, transit time (route), calendars of shipping point, route & customer.... and you can't force one schedule line in this case unless you change your required date to a proposed delivery date based on simulation.

How to play one video in loop?

My DVD will have 7 videos which are on separate timeline each. The Menu will have a button to each video and a "Play All" button.
Each video's Ends Action is set to the next video.
Each button's Link and Override is set to the same video file.
When I press a button, the video plays in loop just two times, then plays the next video, which is not what I want.
How to set a button to play a video in loop until the Menu button on the remote is pressed, still having the option to "Play All" using another button?

Bill - "Return to last menu" will bring me back to menu page after playing a video, which is not what I want.
Stanley - by setting each video end action to the next video I can do "Play All" in loop. The problem I have is creating a button that will play only one video in loop, still having the "Play All" button able to play all in loop.
However, let me try to explain in other words what I want to do.
This DVD is a trading show products presentation DVD that will contain 7 videos(for 7 products). The user must be able to play one video in loop until he presses any key on the remote, or select "Play All" and play all videos in loop until he presses any key on the remote (or stop the DVD, it doesn't matter).
The way I described it on the first post does work as "Play All", but the problem is that when I press a button that suppose to play only one video in loop, (by having that button override set to "Link back to here")it plays the selected video in loop two times, then goes to the next video playing all in loop.
I know how to make a button that will play a video in loop until you press Menu, or how to make a button that will play all until you press Menu, but I do not know how to have them both on the same DVD other than creating a separate video file for Play All, but that would not fit on the same DVD with individual videos.
I do not see how can I achieve this without the use of override feature though, but if you think it will, please let me know how.
