Apply layout to user form

Hi everybody,
Is there a way to link a layout (created from layout designer) to our Add-on forms?
By default the button Print Layout Designer ... is deactivated in the main toolbar when we open an add-on form.

I support this opinion.
It would be better for SBO to forget creating a new (and limitated) reporting tool, and try to integrate it with an existing good tool as Crystal Reports, or any other.
Nowadays, 2 big lacks SBO has are, in my opinion, the Data Transfer Workbench (must be improved for massive data inserts) and the reporting tool.

Font size and user form

Hello,
I'd like to know if somebody find a solution for the font size issue on user form.
since BO 2005, the user can change the font size. the application will format all the controls of form with the good size.
However, the layout does not follow very well for user form.
If the font size is changed while a user form is open, the aplication will reformat it perfectly, the controls are bigger, and the distance between the controls are ok
But when the user form is open again, it keeps the distance and control size of the XML file but change the font size, so the layout is very bad, sometime the static text or the caption could not be read, so it's not possible to use the form as is.
I use XML to create form, I haven't try by code, but in my case, I can't use code because there are a lot of controls in the form.
Any idea if it's possible to call the Business One procedure to resize the form and its control (not only the font) ?

Try resetting the FontSize of all items (and columns) to the one you used for the design after loading the form.
I use a simple loop over all items and an inner loop for matrixes and grids to set the font size in their columns.
Now users can have a larger font, but the added forms will use the original design's font size.
This approach has some drawbacks:
- Added forms use a different font size
- Some of the controls will still get their size based on the system default font size
(checkboxes, drill-down arrays, headercolumns, perhaps more?).
- Focused item is not resized by this (so far I have been able to work around this).
- Changing the font size while the form is open, will break the design as the
font size does not change, but the control sizes do.
This is not an ideal solution, but it might give some help, until a better one presents itself.
If the users don't use a dramatically different font size, my form design work quite ok,
even with the drawbacks or at least it is better than nothing. It is a good idea to test
the form with different font sizes to make it more flexible.

Offline User Form

Greetings flex community,
I've been tasked with designing a user form that will be
filled out offline (no net connection, no webserver, etc..) This
form is for signing up for an e-newsletter. I desided to use Flex
for this, however I've run into a bit of an issue. My goal is to
have the form fields saved locally to an .xml file (<mx:Model
source="enewsletter.xml" id="XMLFILE"/>). I've searched the
forums and am lead to believe this may not be possible? Are there
some imports that can be added to the
<mx:Script></mx:Script> to allow this functionality?
I'm fairly new to flex so forgive the noob'ness :) Here's the
code I have so far, any corrections are also welcome and

I'm sorry, but writing to the local file system is forbidden
by the security restrictions on both the browser, and especially,
the Flash Player.
Now, you CAN write to what is called a local SharedObject,
which is kinda like a "cookie on steroids". Then on connection,
write tht data to the server.
And again, you might consider using AIR(Apollo), which is
currently in beta. You write Flex code, but it uses a different
rendering engine than the Flash Player,and can access local assets.

Adding Columns to the matrix in SAP B1 user form using Visual studio 2010

Hi,
Using Visual studio 2010, I have created a SAP B1 user form( b1f ) with one matrix.Matrix is having 5 columns. Its working properly. Later, I want to add few more columns. Then I added columns to the matrix as I have created columns initially. But, it does not saves.
i.e, Whenever I run, In B1 I could see only old columns. Newly created columns are not showing.So, I closed the .net project and opened again. Created columns are not showing in visual studio b1f itself. So, I created again and saved. But, its not saving.I tried it many times.
What I am missing?

Are you using B1 Studio? Anyway try to clean the solution first then rebuild it. This would re-copy files to the output directory, that contain your changes.

Hi,
Iam using Bubble event = false in click event but the matrix row
is allow to edit but we cant save the document in Find Mode That is fine.
What is my actual requirement is In find mode matrix Row not allow to enter the data .
For examble In ADD mode i enter the data in Three rows (Item Section - Matrix) and
save the document. Whwn i open the document in find mode the three row is not allow
to editable like the same functionality of PO, sales Order, etc ..

OIM 11G-prepop adapters not able to read from User form

When I try to auto provision ldap account for users after creation of OIM record using GTC, the ldap provisioning doesnt happen. Basically the prepop adapters not able to read from Xel user form. I am stuck with this issue for a while now .
I tried remapping..ect etc..ntng helped.
None of the process form fields are getting prepopulated, when I hard coded avlue in prepop adapters for all the reqd fields in process form, proviosioning gets completed successfully.
Pls. help me with this.

For manual Proviosioning - It works fine.
It fails when I create user in OIM using flat file GTC . I have an access policy to auto proviosion that user with ldap.
As mentioned before, I notice none of the prepops on Ldap process form are able to read value from Xel user form.
Steps I tried Already:
1- Checking access policy
2-remapping process form adapters
Pls. let me know ur thoughts.

Session Error - Cannot call getObject on :display.session on a user form

On an end user form I have a manager label.
The manager attribute in the user object holds the unique identifier but I must display the full name.
 
So I have the following code to go get the fullname:

Since it is not a workflow I think I need to use the :display.session reference.
 
Is there another approach I could try? Do you have any suggestions?

I applied gpo "apply the default user logon picture to all users"
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\User Accounts\Apply the default user logon picture to all users
C:\programdata\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\user.bmp --> renamed my company log to user.bmp.
Taken backup of old user.bmp.
But policy is not working.
Environment:
Windows Server 2008 R2
Clients:Windows 7 and Windows 8

%ProgramData%\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\user.bmp. Right?
Firstly, please check if the scope of this GPO and the setting of Filtering are correct.
Secondly, please follow the steps below to check if the GPO is applied to these Windows XP clients:
Click Start, type rsop.msc in the search box to access
Resultant set of policy.
Check if the GPO is applied to these clients and the setting of the GPO is correct.
In addition, it would be helpful for future troubleshooting if you could help to collect the following information:
Did the GPO fail to apply for all the computers or only some computers?
Can you set the user.bmp as the user logon picture
manually?

Want to add a prepopulated User defined field in create user form

Hi,
I have an entity adapter which will perform a pre-insert check on the user group of the user logged in to the oim.
If the logged in user belongs to a group say "IT ADMIN", another validation check will be imposed on the create user action performed by him.
If not from "IT ADMIN" group then create user action will be handled normally.
Now the catch is, how would I determine the group name of the user logged in from the adapter code I have written?
I decided to keep an User defined field "Created by" in the create user form which will be non-editable and auto-prepopulated with the group name of the logged in user. This way I will be able to map the variable field from the User definition drop down list while mapping the adapter variables.
May you please guide me how I can achieve this?

However I am still in dark.
I tried to retrieve the groupname using tcUSerOperationsIntf. But iit tries to retrieve the group name of the user getting created.
Please note, the group name I want is not of the user yet to get created, but that of the user creating it i.e., the logged in user.
My requirement is to have this created_by field in the create user form already prepopulated with the group name of the logged in user.
So that I can put a check based on this field value in the netity adapter.
If the group is IT ADMIN then proceed with the validation.
Else no validation required.
In short, I want to know,how can I auto-prepopulate a UDF in Create USer form?

Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.

Standard and User Forms

Hi!, does anyone know where SAP B1 does have every single Standard Form and also the users forms?. I want to create a query that returns all the forms that SAP has and also the user forms.
Also, is any how or there is a way to know which forms are related to a SAP B1 module?

Hi Reynaldo,
the CPRF table contains some system forms but not all, because not all forms have matrix/columns.
i fear that for your problem doesn't exist a real solution - it's like i said in my first post: the primary information
of all forms is stored outside of database.

Hiding Password in OIM user form

Hi All,
I am trying to Hide the userID and Password from OIM user (create user) form as I am using entity adaptor to generate these and I dont want to enter vague values. I am successful in hiding User ID field by modifying formMetaData.xml, however, I am not able to find anything for Password/Confirm Password fields.
Please suggest.

Best way to link user form with user table

Hi all.
What is the best way to link an user form with a user table (with all of the functions, add, update...)? I have created a simple form, and the question is next:
depending the type object of the user table (document, master...) i have facilities to imlement the basic operations in the form? if i create an UDO i have the functions but i want to use the form that i created with a screen painter.

If i want do all functions (add,update...) of my form in my user table, and i want my user table is a type document? how can add new lines in my user table with objet type document? because when i make the instance i nedd to say what type of document is (item,order...) and when i do an add(), not add() in my user table. In what moment or how can assign that the add,update functions... affect in my table?

Gaps appear in IE 6 browser window for hidden fields in Create User form

Hi,
I need an urgent input on this one.
I hid an OIM default attribute for users in the 'Create User' form by modifying clear_all_fields.js
The field is hidden from the 'Create User' page fine!
But if I open the page from Internet Explorer 6 it shows a gap in the place of the hidden field.
For Mozilla 3.0.5 the gaps are not appearing.
I tried removing these gaps by deleting the tags and the field in the clear_all_fields.js
or, by reducing the dimension of the spacer.gif in GenerateCreateUserForm.jsp.
But it reflected no change in the form look n feel.
The requirement is to hide the fields and not remove them.
Any suggestion as to what may be the way out?

Thanks for the update Leonard. This would be an extremely useful plugin. I've been looking for it on http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/ under the plug-ins tab but have been unable to find it. It wasn't even there in the Pre-Release Programs. Is it located somewhere else or with a different name? Please let me know.
Meanwhile, I've been trying to write my own VB script to get the button clicked. Here's what I've come up till now-
FindText
HiliteList.Add->CreateWordHilite->SetTextSelect->GetBoundingRect->PointToDevice
The last function seems to be deprecated. Also there's nothing to connect the text highlighted by findtext with HiLiteList.Add. I guess
I may have to use the JSO word search method.
Any advice, as always, would be much appreciated.
