Apply list or UL will not work

Question

I'm not quite sure what the problem is.  In the CSS of the website I work on, it shows a list and what appeears to be the "circle" that will appear as the bullet.  See the image below:
So when I go to the web page and want to apply the class to a make some a list with bullets, it does not work.  See below:
Can someone help me and tell me waht I'm doing wrong?  Thanks.

Why not do it the simple way? Switch to code view and just create your list:
<ul>
<li>PS Charities advisory board membership</li>
<li> Full corporate sponsor profile in the annual PS Charities newsletter</li>
<li> Personal acknowledgement from PS Charities management</li>
  <li>Recognition as a platinum sponsor with press release</li>
  <li>Recognition as lead sponsor for all PS Charities events (signage, promotions, brochures, etc.)</li>
  <li>24 tickets to the fundraising event(s) of your choice</li>
<li> Logo/link/blurb placement on PS Charities website and social media properties</li>
  <li>Annual sponsor dinner invitations</li>
  <li>Yearly donor recognition/plaque</li>
</ul>
Then you can go back into Design View and attach your css or just do it right in code view
<ul class="list">
<li class="listname"></li>
Rather than attaching .listname to all the <li> tags write your css as follow:
.list li {
