Apply state in IDLE  at bi direction stream

Hi Experts,
we have a bi-direction stream. I can saw some data changes by select query.
However, the applying stats IDLE. This is not true.
the status is enable and not error. apply captured is YES.
system as oracle 10gR2 in window 2003
What do I need to do?
Thanks for help!
JIm

Did you try to use the heartbeat suggestion to just smoke test your Streams environment?
I will do that first before I start anything else...
Also, run the Stream Health Check script to check all the setting...

  • Where low SGA for bi-direction stream

    Hi Experts,
I got alert message from database -- saleeast
Propagation Schedule for (STRMADMIN.STREAMS_CAPTURE, "STRMADMIN"."STREAMS_APPLY"@salewest.net) encountered following error:
ORA-23603: STREAMS enqueue aborted due to low SGA.
we are using bi-direction stream. this message means that apply process abort due saleeast low SGA? or salewest low SGA?
    or other?
    Thanks,
    JIm

i think that is salewest DB has low SGA.
    Also I need to increase SGA_target or SGASize? Actually, saleeast 1.8 G SGAsize as 500M. salewest2.5G and_SGA_size as 500M
I got this info from both DB,
    No experts help me?
    Thanks,
    Jim

  • If 2 clients can't be neighbours can they establish a direct stream connection?

I used to have 2 computers (connected over a strange network) that could not become neigbours in the same NetGroup!
Because of that I am now exchanging the farID's trough the database similar to the Cirrus sample (I used to exchange it trough the NetGroup).
But now I find that even a direct stream connection between the same computers is not really possible!
So, if 2 clients can't be neighbours is there any chance they can establish a direct stream connection?

no.  exactly the same kind of RTMFP connection is attempted between the two computers.  direct connections and group communications are just different kinds of flows over an RTMFP session.

  • Direct streaming with samba and DLNA/UPNP capable players

    Hello,
I have mediatomb running on my server which streams media to my PS3. However, I would like to do the same with my arch machines, but I can't find any players or plugins with upnp functionality. Amarok, AFAIK, doesn't have such capability. Although I always prefered this method for watching media, now I really need it because playing through samba is impossible. When I try to play media from samba shares, all players download the content locally and then start playing it (unless I mount the samba share, sth I would like to avoid). The same happens with every file, pdfs, rtfs, etc - the file is downloaded locally and then opens in its application. There was a hack for mplayer that allowed direct streaming, but now it doesn't work (changing the "exec" value in the gmplayer.desktop file and adding the %F parameter). Maybe there is a hack for Dolphin that changes this behaviour?

even wrote:For share folders you can use ushare. It works fine with dlna and upnp. But doesnt have a GUI, only config files and a daemon. Works with ps3 and xbox360.
Well, what I actually need is a UPnP media renderer or player. Mediatomb is a UPnP server, similar to ushare, and I am very happy with it.

Open photo stream, tap select, tap the photos to delete, tap the trash can.

  • ORA-01403: no data found  in apply at bi -direction stream

    Hi Experts,
we use 10g at window for bi direaction.
after building, I got ORA-01403: no data found in apply process. I check these error LCR
that invloved DML action for different tables in source database.
our stream a schema level capture and no error handle as well as other exception.
former DBA set up this tream.
I just check online got these info.
    ORA-01403 No Data Found
An ORA-01403 error message is generated when an Apply process tries to update an existing row and the old_values in the row LCR do not match the current values at this destination database object.
This situation could arise on account of any of the situations below:
Supplemental logging is not specified for columns that require supplemental logging at the source database. In this case, LCRs from the source database may not contain values for key columns.
There may be a problem with primary key in the destination table. If no primary key exists for the table or if the target table has a different primary key than the source table, substitute key columns can be specified using the set_key_columns procedure in the dbms_apply_adm package. Error ORA-23416 may be encountered if a table being applied does not have a primary key.
There is a data mismatch between a row LCR and the table for which the LCR is applying a change. In this case, the destination has to be updated to match the data values before the error transaction can be executed again.
what do i need to do?
    Thanks,
    Jim

It will be wise to run the Oracle supply streams health check script to check your existing streams environment.
From the result, you can also open a tar with Oracle to see if they can help you with the setup.
In addition to the ORA-01403 error, you can also run some of the Oracle Streams packages (Managing Apply Errors) to see the full detail of what is missing that caused the Ora-01403 error.
I will also try to implement a smoke test using the simple heartbeat table suggested by Oracle Streams, if that is working, then you can begin your full scale setup in your environment knowing that the base Streams Structure is setup correctly.
    HTH

  • Anybody has example of setting up bi-direction streams DB replication?

I am looking for a solid example of setting up bi-direction replication at database level (global), using RMAN duplicate for instantiation and possible using MAINTAIN_GLOBAL package. This will be single source in 2 databases environment. The 2 databases should be in sync. I would like to know if we need to setup tag for it as it is bi-directional. Anybody has any link to it, please let me know.
    Thanks!

I have bidirectional going.. here's my scripts... I replicate between two machines, AMS1 and AMS2
On both machines, create the strmadmin user:
    connect / as sysdba;
    -- drop user strmadmin
    drop user strmadmin cascade;
    -- drop tablespace for streams
    DROP TABLESPACE streams_tbs including contents and datafiles;
    -- create tablespace for streams
CREATE TABLESPACE streams_tbs DATAFILE '/oradata2/AMS/streams_tbs_01.dbf' SIZE 100M REUSE AUTOEXTEND ON MAXSIZE UNLIMITE
    D;
    -- create strmadmin user
CREATE USER strmadmin IDENTIFIED BY strmadmin
    DEFAULT TABLESPACE streams_tbs

    grantee => 'strmadmin',

Next, I do all the setup (capture, propagation, apply).

You can use whatever names you want, those are just what I chose for my system. The thing where I set the size to 50M is due to a bug where the LOGMINER runs out of memory.
    Hope this helps!

  • Any way to apply Twist effect twice in opposite directions?

I am trying to draw a sun-like shape. I started with a star polygon and apply the Twist effect. That gets me pretty good arms on the sun, but I'd like for something a bit more flame-like, so I'd like to get the arms to now bend back in the opposite direction. Is there any way to use or modify the Twist effect so that I can apply it a second time but bend further out in the opposite direction? Or is there some other good way to get the rotation along all the arms that someone can suggest?

One way is this. Start with a triangle and modify its anchor points as shown below.
Take the Rotate tool and Copy Rotate that object around a common rotation centre.
    Add a circle.
Select all and apply Pathfinder Unite. Change fill colour.

    Hi R,
Note: If the answer is not found here, I would certainly recommend going to stackoverflow.com and posting your question. [http://stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/webrtc]
*What version of the WebRTC API are you using, check the streaming api to see if its up to date
*The spacing error, maybe try the [http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ W3C Validator] will help find why 'spacing' css value is not recognized
*Found this discussion on the error, it looks like it is a mismatched json standard between the browsers? [https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.media/W3_dOXyEBBc]
*would it be an unhandled object in that "rtc.fire()" call?
*This discussion has how to turn on WebRTC degugging on: [https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.media/FrQE1OV7y38]

  • Desktop state is idle while user is logged in

    Hi,
I'm using VDI3.1 EA2. Today I configured some new pools in flexible mode. After some evaluation I noticed that the "desktop state" in the VDI WebGUI changes to "idle" while there's still a user logged on to the desktop. As a result, the desktop is reassigned to other users that also can connect to the desktop, but not login.
So, how does VDI check if there's a user "working" on the desktop? I'm using VMware VC as desktop provider. All VMs are Windows XP.
    Any ideas?
    Julian

    Hi Julian,
a combination of the vda tools and the vda service is responsible for deciding that a desktop is idle and available for recycling. The vda tools are responsible for detecting that no users are logged in and this fact is communicated back to the vda service using VMware guest properties. Most often, problems like the one you describe are related to some kind of issue with the vda tools.
So, the first question is, do you have the vda tools installed on your XP guests ?
If so, did you install the vda tools provided with the VDI 3.1 EA or some other version ?
Assuming you've got the correct version of the vda tools installed, can you check that the vda tools service is running on your guests ?
Additionally, it's worth looking at the Event Viewer on your guest for events related to the vda tools.

  • Direct Streaming with Safari on Windows

Using Final Cut Express, I have assembled camcorder clips into a 30 minute movie for a local community organization. Exporting .mov and then using iDVD, I have made an acceptable DVD which can play on all appropriate equipment. However, distribution is difficult and expensive.
My problem is find a system so that most people with broadband can stream an MPEG-4 movie file from the web. On iMac, IPad, G4Mac under Leopard, the file streams fine from Safari, without the use of a streaming server.
However, the story is completely different using Safari on Wintel machines (mostly XP). On Windows, Safari first downloads the mp4 file before running QuickTime. Can I get Safari to stream directly as on Mac? Or do I have to set up a streaming server? Or even convert to Flash!
    i

You would do far better to use Flash, since most people already have that.
Quicktime is a HUGE download and many people simply won't bother with that. It also messes downloads from other sites, such as music sites selling MP3s - Quicktime is designed to take over the whole media system of people's computers and this can cause significant problems with downloads from other websites.
Thus I, and I am sure that many others do not like that and will never ever run Quicktime.
Flash is a far superior technology and relatively bug free. Just like web applications or any other, poorly designed Flash applications can have security problems and bugs, however the technology itself is top notch. I am sure we will find similar problems once HTML5 take a hold.
In regard to streaming servers, RED5 is open source and free of cost >> all you need is a VPS at a minimum. That combined with Flash is very hard to beat!

  • New website help? - directly streaming mp3's \ sitecounter \

Hi, I am building a music website for someone at the moment as a learning project and have a
few issues that I cannot solve as I am a complete novice when it comes to web-design... but i'm trying!
you can visit this at www.johnnypowell.com (the music is under the 'sounds' link and then 'listen to songs')
    1. I have some songs that I want to play when the user clicks the song title link - I have put the song title and then a link to the mp3/wav by
dragging the target to the mp3/wav in one of my website folders... should this work on-line? as it seems to only give me the choice to 'save' and not listen directly which is the point of the page. Somebody said i need to have them set as 'streaming' but i don't know how to do this?
This is my main problem but I also have a few other problems that I can't figure out if anyone has time to help...
    2. I cannot get a visit counter on my site - when i paste in the code as suggested on the support site it never seems to appear when
i press F12 to view the page. Sorry to be stupid but could anyone give me step by step advice on this - where exactly to paste it into
the code and if i need to delete any sections of the text? or if i can put an APDiv box in and just paste it in there somehow? I have tried many times.
    3. Some of the text goes slightly darker after the user visits a page and has clicked on the link - as the backdrop to my page is quite dark is there any way I can stop this post-clicked darkening of the text as I can't see the links after?
    4. I am trying to set up a 'message board' where viewers of my page can actually type in and leave comments that remain on the page
for all to see in date order - most recent at the top - could anyone let me know how to do this please?
Sorry to bombard everyone with so many questions... i'm stuck!
Thanks a lot for the help, really appreciate it

    Operating System: Windows Vista
    Browser: Microsoft IE

    Hi Laura
A There are a number of extensions for dreamweaver/flash to help you create mp3 playlists some free (some not), if you are o/k with using an extension try searching the dw/flash exchange at - http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/
For a tutorial on creating an xml playlist try - http://www.quackit.com/html/codes/create_music_playlist.cfm or for a code generator try - http://javascript.internet.com/miscellaneous/mp3-playlist.html
If you have the flash pro program installed then your options are vastly increased (let me know if you have this), otherwise it is a relatively simple procedure creating the playlist, your main problem is deciding on which player to support, my recommendation is to use quick time as anyone with an ipod will normally have this program installed on their computer, (pdf instructions here -  http://www.nigelbuckner.com/downloads/handouts/web/Embed.pdf), or you can use the google/yahoo mp3 players (does not require linking to them), see -  http://www.labnol.org/internet/design/html-embed-mp3-songs-podcasts-music-in-blogs-website s/2232/.
For hit counters try - http://www.website-hit-counters.com/

  • Firefox crashes when idle (viewing) on mjpeg streams at seemingly random intervals.

When viewing a page with multiple embedded mjpeg streams, firefox randomly crashes. Sometimes it can sit for hours on the page, other times it will crash much sooner. It hasn't made it 24 hours ever.

I am having the exact same problem. Identical symptoms. I have tried everything suggested. Clean install, reset, running without plugins, checked virus killer, checked firewall, checked for malware and viruses, nothing. This problem only started after upgrading to Firefox version 22. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. Please look into this problem. After searching the internet quite extensively I can tell you that it doesn't appear to be a new problem. The pages will stop loading or rather they are loading but nothing actually appears, at random intervals. Sometimes it can go hours before a problem sometimes minutes or seconds. The only way to get webpages to load again is to kill firefox (including in the task manager) and restart. The program hangs in the task manager as if it has crashed.

  • Direct Streaming of data from onboard memory to Host memory in PXI 5122

    Hey All,
I have a small query about PXI 5122. In Data Sheet its written that " The PXI-5122 also can stream data continuously from onboard memory to host memory for longer acquisitions and streaming to disk. "
So do we have to write some code for streaming the data on hard disk or when drivers of this card is installed then some VI's will appear in control panel through which we can stream data on hard disk ??
I hope you all understood what my query is. Please let me know for further details
    Thank you.

  • Need applescript to apply album art to daily ripped mp3 streams

My favorite radio show broadcasts on the web and so I save the daily shows to MP3 for playing on my ipod at a more convenient time. I have automator actions that rename, add ID3 info, and add the files to itunes, but I'd like to add album art as well. All searches thus far (including Doug's Applescript Site) have been fruitless for me. What I need is a simple applescript that I can add to my automator action that adds a jpg image to the new mp3 file. I'm an applescript idiot and have not been able to hack a solution. Can anyone help?

The freeware application Clutter heavily relies on scripts.
The application can search for artwork and transfer it to the correct tracks in iTunes.
You can find the scripts inside the Resources folder in the Contents folder of the package.
Since it is an open source application, you can use the scripts (or parts of it) without restrictions (certainly for personal use), if I'm correct.
    Hope this helps.
