Hi
Once you have done developing the WebDynpro applications, You need to deploy them into portals as WD IViews. In the portal you apply the Themes.  That is one procedure.
Second , if you want to disply Graphical elements, you need follow
Creating custom themes
Developing a Theme Editor Project
There are a few steps in putting our own customized themes.
Steps Involved
Theme editing does not come in the standard set of installation. We have to download a few files for this purpose.
1. The first of these is a zip file containing the standard themes provided by SAP.
Download this file and unzip it in your local drive.
NW04Stack09Themes
And it is available in the following link.
[https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/business_packages/a1-8-4/nw04stack09themes.zip|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/business_packages/a1-8-4/nw04stack09themes.zip]
Note: NW04Stack09Themes is suitable for NW 04 stack 9 only. If we upgrade our stack we have to upgrade this zip file to the corresponding version.
The corresponding files for SP11 and SP12 are available in the following links. (Link paths might change in the future.)

  • Apply custom themes to WebDynpro application in Portal

    Hi,
We have just upgraded the E-Recruitment to EHP4. We have two instances of ECC in which one acts as HR instance and the other one for E-Recruitmet. We have created custom themes for portal and need to apply the same for the WebDynpro ABAP applications for E-REcruitment. I have downloaded the theme and from portal and uploaded the same in MIME folder using SE80 transaction. I have also added the parameter sap-cssurl=/sap/public/themes/<my custom theme folder name>.
Also tried giving the url in application parameter as
    SAP-EP-THEMEROOT=http://<hostname>/irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.design.portaldesigndata/themes/portal/customer/<custom theme>
Is there any other way to apply themes for WD ABAP applications. I dont want to customize the standard applications and just want to apply the themes.
Any suggession on this is highly appreciated.
    Kind Regards,

you can try these links for adding Themes to a Web Dynpro Application ... You can create your own theme with your company logo ... Optionally there are a few sample themes available ..

You can check this link below in which they have discussed about adding themes to the WD application ..

    Hi Experts,
I have created a portal theme and deployed on the server.
Now i want to use this portal theme in my WebDynpro java callable object.
I know how to use themes in WebDynpro application, set the theme in Exit plug of component interface view.
However in WebDynpro java callable object how do i achieve this?
here should i use WebDynproCOInterfaceView to set the desired theme to the callable object ?
or should i set the theme in my Componet's interface view?
i tried in both but its not working, i can still see the default theme.
    Am i missing anything here?

  • Webdynpro application not taking Portal Theme

    Hello,
Our webdynpro applications are not taking portal themes. How can we have the applications take the portal themes?
    Regards
    Bobu

    Hello,
When creating a portal IView for a webdynpo application we will have a property called as Supply portal style sheet. If this property is set to Yes then the webdynpro applications will take the Portal style sheet.

  • Portal Theme in Webdynpro ABAP

    Hi Experts,
I want my portal theme to get applied to the webdynpro abap application. But WDA application is not adapting the portal theme.
This is the version of the theme's style sheet in portal=7.1.3.0.1;ur=7.1.3.0.1;7.1.3.0.0(Major version.minor version.SP.patch.generation run)
The version of Webdynpro abap theme is 7.11.3.2.0.
Portal Version is NetWeaver 7.0 Ehp1
and SAP Basis Version is 701 and level 5.
    Is there  version incompatibility?
    How can I solve this.
    Thanks and Regards
    M.Karthiheyan.

    Hi M.Karthiheyan,
Please follow below steps to apply Portal theme in Webdynpro ABAP.
    1. Go to transaction SE80 and navigate to the MIME Repository
    2. Create a folder in the MIME repository that will contain all the custom theme files. Make sure the folder is created in following directory /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/<theme_name>
    3. Go to the Repository browser in SE80 and select u201CProgramsu201D from the drop down list.
    4. Enter BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS in the input field and hit Enter
    5. Execute the program and enter the MIME repository path to the folder that is to contain the custom theme. Our custom theme is located in MIME path /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/<Theme Name>
    6. Execute the program and select root folder that contains all the custom theme files.  The custom theme can be directly pulled down from the file server on portal or can be exported from Portal Theme Editor and imported into Eclipse Theme Editor in order to generate the necessary css files. We only need the root folder that contains the actual css files and images. The upload process might take a while depending on the size.
    7. Once the upload is complete, go back to the MIME Repository and check if the files were uploaded.
    8. To specify a theme at the global level you can execute WebDynpro component WD_GLOBAL_SETTING. Maintain parameter u2018Stylesheet URIu2019 with the MIME Repository path of the custom theme (i.e. /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/<custom_theme>).
    9. Enter the path under "Stylesheet URI:" and select the check box which says "Force use of External Stylesheet".
    Thanks.

  • Javascript Access Denied in WebDynpro Application SP11

    Hi all,
I'm developing a WebDynpro application that is published in EP as a WebDynpro IView.
Deploying the application and running as standalone (out of EP) this works fine but when I access that by EP I get JavaScript errors in DropDowns.
I know that this error is know as an bug of SP11 but I want to know if someone obtain some answer from SAP or do anything to solve this problem.
I already install another server with EP and WEBAS from the last SAP WEBAS installer downloaded from SAP website but the problem already persists.
    Server: WEBAS 6.40 SP11
    IDE: Version: 2.0.11
    Build id: 200503080124
    Thanks,
    Manoel

    Hi
Refer to OSS Note no : 779659. But even in that case if you are using your own themes there are some display problems in SP11.
In SP10 we had our own theme and we followed the OSS Note. It worked fine. When we applied the Same theme to SP11 it did not work.
There is also another note which says that custom themes are not supported properly. I will try to give you the note number. Maybe that is a problem.
I would advice you to try and use standard themes for your Webdynpro apps. Even if you apply the note you are not going to get proper display in case of SP11. Maybe the problem gets solved in SP12.
    regards

  • Custome theme to custom applications and BSP pages

    Hi all,
I would like to know how I can apply the same custom theme thats coming up with the standard applications.. to be applied to the custom ABAP WDP applications.
And also want to apply the same theme to the EREC and LSO BSP pages.
We have already created our own theme and applied that, we are able to see the modified theme in our standard ESS applications. But its not reflecting the same to the custome ABAP WDP applications.
Do let me know where i am going wrong ...
    Thanks,
    NR

    NR,
If you are displaying WDA from portal you need to follow the below mentioned steps to assign portal theme to WDA
1.for assigning custom theme to the WDA pages you need to create configuration
2.go to the webdynpro component-right click on the webdynpro application for that componet and create/change configuration.
3.give some name and click on create
4.go to properties tab and select external portal style sheet and save it
5.go to iview properties for that WDA in portal and fill the configuration name with the name u created above
6.stylesheet value to controls and select yes for support portal stylesheet.
if you are executing WDA from backend itself then you need to pass a parameter to the application like sap-wd-configid=<name of the theme>
for BSP applications change the iview properties
stylesheet value to controls and select yes for support portal stylesheet.

  • WebDynpro Application issue consuming asynchronous webservice from SAP PI

Hello experts i ask you for help thie following issue:
i am developing a webdynpro application which is supposed to
send some data from inputfields, and a file, in order to achieve it, that dynpro application is consuming an asyncrhronous webservice , this service is running in SAP Process integration .it uses only a component.
Iam having serious problems at mapping the asynchronous PI web service model -->to -->controller >and then to->view
since when i deploy the application into the  SAP portal´s application server, it runs , but  inputfields cannot be written.i dont mean unabled, what i mean, is. cannot write anything on them.ECXEPT the file upload UI element.
I have reviewed sap help page, 3 sappress books, about dynpro, and the procedure i am performind is agree with them.
    endpoint test answers the folloiwng:
Message Servlet is in Status OK
    Status information:
    Servlet com.sap.aii.af.mp.soap.web.MessageServlet (Version $Id: //tc/xi/NW04S_20_REL/src/_adapters/_soap/java/com/sap/aii/af/mp/soap/web/MessageServlet.java#1 $) bound to /MessageServlet

    ModuleProcessorClass not instantiated
    ModuleProcessorLocal is Instance of com.sap.aii.af.mp.processor.ModuleProcessorLocalLocalObjectImpl0_0
    ModuleProcessorRemote not instantiated
what i did is the same as before(in another projects weh i used to import rfc models):
1.- import webservice model, and add it to component
2.-map web service model to controller context
3.-map controller´s context to view context
    4.-create actions and methods
5.-binding context controller to ui elements
    Dear experts, my questions are:
    What am i doing wrong?
should i permorm another steps because the web service is in another application server (SAP PI)?
Should i create a stand alone proxy and then access it from webdynpro?
when i call the web service model excution it seems does not run, neverthless the invocation does not have any syntax error , what coul it be?
    Thanx in advance!!

just for the sake of other who may hit this thread , the solution is to add sap-client=<clientno> in the url for wsdl

  • Deploying a WebDynpro application from NWDS 7.0 on NWCE 7.1

    Hi,
I am trying to deploy a simple WebDynpro application in NWDS 7.0. On the server there is NWCE 7.1 installed. When I try that, I always get this error:
Deploymenty Exception: Cannot determine the sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly.
I checked the settings in Window->Preferences->SAP J2EE Engine. Everything is set up and seems to work. When I check it either in SAP Management console or in NWDS at J2EE Engine View everything is lighting green.
I've already found about 5 or more threads, where people seem to have the same problem, but in none of them was any solution. And further more everybody was writing about SDM configuration, but in NWCE 7.1 there is no longer any SDM (as it is written in SAP Installation Manual for NWCE 7.1).
    Did anyone solve this issue?
    Thanks

    Filip,
Never worked with NW CE. But my guess is that it is a issue with your NWDS which is at a lower version than the server.
As you know NW04's has a SDM.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vijith

  • Error in deploying a WebDynpro application

    Hi All,
I created a WebDynpro application and was unable to deploy it from NWDS. I had made all possible configurations like
    1. setting the host name and IP address in the hosts file
    2. Stating the server name instead of local host in the J2EE preferences of NWDS
But, still was unable to deploy it from NWDS. As I went through some of the workaround solutions stated on sdn I followed them and tried deploying via sdm and that deployment worked.
Later, I got the port 500018 opened so that I would be able to deploy from remote system using NWDS.
But, now when I try deployment I just realise that the WebDynpro Runtime in Visual Admin is inactive and am not in a position to even deploy the application via sdm.
The error thrown is stated below:

Can someone please help me and let me know as to how I could get the WebDynpro back to active status.
Thanks for all your help in advance,
    Best regards,
    Divya Rao

    Hi Divya,
You could try with the Console Administrator. Open a command prompt and execute:
    telnet localhost 50008
    [login]
    > jump 0
    > startservice webdynpro
Now you can check the status like this:
    > lss | grep webdynpro
If it is still stopped check /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/j2ee/cluster/server<N>/log/defaultTrace.trc and /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/j2ee/cluster/server<N>/log/system/server.log for errors.
    HTH,
    Vladimir

    Hi,
I have configured the J2EE engine details correctly in my NWDS. Now i'm trying to run Webdynpro Applications. When I click on Run, it is asking SDM password.
I'm entering it. Then I'm getting an error like "Deployment Aborted".
    The error details are
Deployment exception : Server <xxx> did not accept login request as admin on port 50118. Details: ERROR: Could not establish connection to server <xxx> at port 50118: <xxx>
Please suggest me what may be the error and how to resolve it...
    Thanks in advance..
    Regards,

    Hi Naresh,
Either your admin password is expired or you have changed the administrator password.
    Do the following Steps,
Use the Config Tool to change the entry in secure storage as follows:
    1. Start the Config Tool.
    (Execute <SAPj2eeEngine_install_dir> configtoolconfigtool.bat.)
    2. Select the secure store node.
The configuration for the secure storage in the file system appears.
    3. Select the admin/password/<SID> entry.
    4. Enter the administrator user's new password in the "Value" field and choose "Add".
    5. Choose "File" --> "Apply" to save the data.
Note: Contrary to the message that appears, you do not need to restart the server or cluster for this change to take effect.
    6. Finally restart SDM server. Then deploy.

It seems that some user is already logged into the system and using the services.
I don't how can you increase the number of session allowed in server.
But for now. You can just check who else is using server and ask them to stop.
You can restart the server and then try deployment. It will work then for you
