Apply TV airplay HELP!!!

Hi,
I have the latest version of OS X 10.9.4, I just bought Apple tv 3 but I am not able to find the airplay icon anywhere neither to mirrrow the screen or to share the laptop...
I have done the turn on the home sharing on my laptop via itunes, but I am lost... any help will be very appreciated!!

You want to ensure that the ATV and iTunes use the same Apple ID. You have to enable it on both devices.
For AirPlay, Bonjour discovery should work. Is the ATV connected via ethernet or wifi? My guess is wifi, because the iPad/iPhone should connect over wifi and can see the ATV. Is the MBP connected via ethernet or WiFi? If the ATV connects via ethernet to the rest of the network, does the MBP detect the ATV when connected to the same switch/router?.
If you use something made by Netgear, it does network segmentation depending on what you use. You can use a Bonjour browser to see devices on the network. If you want to use something like packet captures, you can try Wireshark.
Do you have a firewall application on the MBP? Look under System Preferences -> Security and Privacy -> Firewall Tab for Apples, or if you have third-party software, look at their UI.

Sound from macbook - not TV - during Apple TV Airplay HELP!

I connected my macbook to the TV via Apple TV Airplay, and the sound only comes out of the laptop, though the screen mirrioring still works. Would love some help.

The audo goes through fine with my HP laptop but not with my mac(using the adapter) I have tried EVERYTHING

Can you browse any website with apple tv and use AirPlay to make it show up on your tv And I mean any website. Like you can do with the audio video adapter. I heard u can do it with the new iOS 5 update. Is that true?

have you tried the following ?
open system preferences
open network pane
select airport in the left list
click the advanced button
go to the TCP/IP tab
set the configure IPv6 field to OFF.
click OK
click apply
now try again to connect to your remote speakers.

I'm having a problem trying to find how a particular policy is being applied on my domain (I've inherited this domain). When ever a user logs into a domain, the computer get's a new local group policy. One particular attribute is that the local
admin account get's renamed:
I can't figure out where it's coming from. I've run gpresult, and I'm assuming it's the default domain policy.
But when I go to the domain controller and look at the default domain policy, the entry is empty:
I'm really at a loss. However, I really don't think it's the default domain policy, but I can't figure out what else it could be?

AirPlay Help- Great setup, bad results

I have a great setup for AirPlay to work in my room. However, when I'm playing music from my computer to my speakers via an AirPort Express, the sound cuts in and out and random intervals. When I look in iTunes, the song is still playing, like nothing happened. I've tried several solutions I found online, both on Apple discussion boards and around the web. I've reset my wireless router and airport express several times. Sometimes it works fantastic, but more often than not it doesn't. Help!!

you might be suffering from _*wireless interference*_.
perhaps one of your neighbor's wireless networks is interfering with yours. download iStumbler (free) or AirRadar (it has a trial period) and note the channels other networks in your vicinity are broadcasting on. *change the channel(s) of your network as far away as possible from those*.
note there may be hidden (closed) networks around that these apps won't pick up. however, KisMac will be able to. be aware, though, that in some countries the use of KisMac may not be legal !

Problems after applying patches - please help

i've just applied some patches last week to one of my CF servers (CF 8.01 on SBS 2003). I followed the instructions and didnt really have any issues i noticed until yesterday. The debugging output on screen is gone, replaced by a 500 error and a ton of error codes like this:

First of all you might have taken backup of files before applying patches. If yes then please replace them first to stabilize it. Once that is done then apply patches one by one and test it before applying other one. That should help and identify the issue if there is any.

Can't find Home Sharing from 'File' on the menu bar as suggest by Apply Support. Help?

I am trying to set up Home Sharing. Have followed instructions to the menu bar, "edit' drop down however do not see the 'Home Sharing' option as noted in Apple Support. I am a relatively new to the "Mac" family and would like to know if I am doing something incorrect. Thanks.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like you do not see Home Sharing under Edit or File on the Menu bar. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

Applying search help on the screen fields of a module pool program

hi all
i am creating a sales order against a purchase order i am stuck at applying the search helps
i have header data (only mandatory fields),items data,partner data(all mandatory fields)
i want to have input search help as if i select sales document type then corresponding sales organizations should appear and when i select all the header data the search help that is on the material number and partners role and number should appear corresponding to that header data
i found following search helps as:-
h_vakz and h_mvke

This would be quite opposite of what h_vakz does. h_vakz gives Sales document based on Sales org..and you want vice versa. Create a simple SH with
selection method : TVAKZ
AUART as importing only
VKORG as exporting only. So when you enter an AUART you get all VKORG it is defined in. I'm not aware of a standard search help which matches the requirement. If anybody does please help me.

HELP! Premiere Pro CC shut down because of serious error after applying FilmConvert

I just purchased Film Convert Bundle and already have made activation
Tried it in Premiere Pro CC, and it doesn't work!
A have tried three times..
- new project
- imported my video
- apply FilmConvert to my video.....and nothing! I even didn't see FilmConvert window. Premiere Pro just shut down with error:

For me the OpenCL Mercury Render engine is less stable and performs worse than the CUDA equivalent on NVIDIA cards. As you say you are using an NVIDIA card, see if there is a CUDA option for Filmconvert or use software rendering on the CPU as you have found.

AirPlay Data Flow?

I'm about to purchase an Airport Express to connect to my home stereo receiver via audio-cable.
Planning to be able to output the sound usually coming out of my iPad thru my big stereo system, from Apps such as YouTube, Pandora, TuneIn Radio, Spotify, etc.
Wondering how much wifi data traffic this will cause and if it drains the iPad battery more quickly.
Could somebody please let me know which of the below two scenarios applies to Airplay. 1 or 2.
I will use the Spotify App as an example and seperate data into Music Data and Command Data. Command Data is things such as Play, Pause, Skip, Next, Volume, etc.

It is important to note that AirPlay itself contains both the data & command streams.

Command data (=) flows as such (Command Data is play, pause, skip, next, volume, etc.)
iOS Device ==> Airport Express ==> Spotify in the Cloud
Spotify would require a host device. As you know that could be a computer or iOS device. So, in your first flow diagram, Spotify cannot directly stream to an AirPort Express from the Cloud. Instead it would be like your flow diagram in item (2) of your post.
Both the Spotify App and the process of using AirPlay to stream to the Express would be the source of the battery drain as you suspected.

I recieved a notice that there was an update for Elements 13 but when I try to install it it stop's half way through then I get the error message that "updates could not be applied" I have tried several times and it continues to give me the error. What is

I get a message that an update is available and when I install it the update stops half way through and I get the error code: U44M1I210 for Camera Raw and Elements 13.1 updates. I get the message "UPDATES COULD NOT BE APPLIED" Can someone help with this? Thank you. David

I have not seen much in the way of alternatives coming from Adobe on the Premiere Elements 13.1 failed updates.
But there seems to be several discussions on U44M11210 in the CC products...one

You could try the uninstall, free ccleaner, reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s) and then try for the Help Menu/Update for 13.1..

The CC people seem to have the advantage of an online download of their update as well as the one via the Help Menu/Update.
