Applying a new patch on the ISE 1.4.1. reboot required?

when applying a new patch on the ISE 1.4.1, will the server be taken off line whilst the patch is applied. i.e.does the server require a reboot after the patch is applied?

This is what is presently installed:
Cisco Identity Services Engine
Version : 1.1.4.218
Cisco Identity Services Engine Patch
Version : 2
Cisco Identity Services Engine Patch
Version : 8
So is it correct to say that if I have installed patch 8 , then I do not need to install 3-7?

  • New patch for MSI Media Center Deluxe II

    all-
    forgive if this has been posted before, but there is a new patch for the MCD II. it upgrades it revision 3. i will try it out tonight when i get back from my LSAT class.
    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/driver/dvr/spt_dvr_detail.php?UID=447%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&NAME=MS-8912
    i wish MSI would make it easier to find or notify somewhere on the website about these patches. also it would be nice to read what exactly these patches fix.
    currently the only issues i have with MCD II is the slideshow doesn't work for My Pictures, and you can't stop a video file in the middle and switch to another entity- say TV, DVD, or even music without have the sound in the video file continue onwards.
    not sure if i should uninstall current patch to install 2nd patch, but will try all combinations to see which one works.

    what a waste of 18 MB. the update did not fix anything at all. the slideshow bug is still there, as is the video file sounds.
    i did a clean uninstall of the previous version, and installed from the CD, then applied the patch. no difference.
    did a clean install from CD, applied patch 1, then applied patch 2. no difference.
    worse of all, the program, when exited, does not switch the monitor refresh rate back to what it was before. (this was fixed from the previous patch).
    but i won't discourage those who had issues with the first patch not to use the second patch- maybe it will fix mcd2 for them. for i had no real problems with the 1st patch.

  • Release a patch from the concert in which it was generated.

    Hello, I have a question .When I create a new patch this is a perfect copy of that concert. But if I try to do something as clear a strip, change its position, copy it or else I see that I can not do anything. Is there a way to make independent a new patch from the original concert which was originated? So you can edit it in its entirety?

    Sorry but my first problem is an English really rough. I knew it was hard to explain, I try with an example: if I create an entire setup to the level of the concert then when I create a new patch with the "+" button at the top right, will create a new patch in all identical to the content of the concert. But in this new patch every strip displays the Mainstage icon at the top and is not editable except the very few aspects. You can not move, can not delete unless you do it at the concert level but then it will be deleted from all other pacth. And I do not find a solution to make it independent from the level of concert in which it was generated.

  • Applying a new template to entire site?

    Is there an easy way to apply a new template to the entire
    site? I created a new template and I can open each page
    individually and click MODIFY/TEMPLATES/APPLY TEMPLATE TO PAGE but
    there has to be an easier way to apply the new template to the
    entire site without having to open every single page in the
    site.

    That would be true ONLY on pages that are already child pages
    of templates.
    Try it on a page that is not a child page, but that has
    existing content.
    This is what the OP was asking.

  • Select path with same swatch and apply a new swatch

    I am trying to write a script that will select a line based on a swatch name, apply a new swatch, set the stroke, dash and miter of the line...and then create a new layer, change then name of the layer, and then move the selected items to the newly created layer.
    All I could seem to accomplish was renaming a swatch.
    var swatchName = app.activeDocument.swatches;
    if (swatchName.length > 0) {
        for (i=0; i < swatchName.length; i++){
            changeName(swatchName[i]);
    function changeName(swatchObject){
                     if (swatchObject.name == "PANTONE Orange 021 C"){
                        swatchObject.name = "021 (Orange)";
                    if (swatchObject.name == "PANTONE Red 032 C"){
                        swatchObject.name = "032 (Red)";
    So the goal of what I would like it to do is look for all paths with the stroke color set to "PANTONE Orange 021 C" then have it change the swatch name to "021 (Orange)". After that apply the stroke, dash and miter. Create a new layer named "021 (Orange)". Then send all of the selected lines to that layer.
    PLEASE HELP AS I HAVE 200+ files to do this task to. Using a windows machine with CS3. Trying to write in javascript.

    This would be the way to rename 2 existing swatches… The GUI pallet can be a little sticky in updating but it works…
    #target illustrator
    var docRef = app.activeDocument;
    var a = docRef.swatches.getByName('PANTONE Orange 021 C');
    a.name = '021 (Orange)';
    var b = docRef.swatches.getByName('PANTONE Red 032 C');
    b.name = '032 (Red)';
    redraw();
    My mistake… Looks like this Jive stuff gave you an unwanted bump from nowhere? Didn't look at the date…

  • How to do in-place-upgrades with the new patch sets (11.2.0.2.0)?

    Hello,
    Oracle has released the new patch set 11.2.0.2.0 for Oracle Database whose installation deviates from the previous patch set instructions. Are there any new deployment procedures available to do an in-place upgrade? We have a lot (about 100) of development databases here, most of them do not have enough hard disk space to do an out-of-place upgrade, so the need for updated deployment procedures is definetely there.
    Best regards,
    Andreas

    Hello Hemss,
    I am trying to do an in-place-upgrade (replacing the old Oracle software completely because our test servers have only very little space). When you want to perform an out-of-place upgrade, things are more simple, but you need the disk space for a new Oracle home (about 6 GB on Linux-x64 in my case). Essentially, the steps are:
    1. You can keep the production database online during the next steps
    2. Install the new 11.2.0.2.0 into a new Oracle Home (an Oracle software directory which does not exist yet). Only install the software.
    3. Apply any post-11.2.0.2.0 patches if available and needed
    4. Schedule a maintenance window with your users
    5. Put the original database(s) in MOUNT mode (SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE followed by STARTUP MOUNT)
    6. Perform a FULL backup of both database and old Oracle home, just to be on the safe side.
    7. Set your enviromnent: ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_BASE should point to your NEW installation, ORACLE_SID to your production database.
    8. Start netca to create a new LISTENER for your new software installation (you might want to use a different port than your previous installation in case you need to run both at the same time)
    9. Start dbua from the new Oracle Home and follow the on-screen instructions. You can either create an updated copy of the database (needs more disk space but you can easily switch back to your orginal DB), or you change the database to fit your new Oracle version (needs less space, but you need to run the scripts to downgrade to the old release if you need to go back)
    So, as long as you have plenty of disk space, things are not that difficult at all. Of course, you should always read the release notes and the full installation guides for the new version because there might be new features or behaviours that affect your database. It is also highly advisable to test this on a completely different machine first.
    You can find the complete upgrade guide here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e17222/toc.htm
    Best regards,
    Andreas

  • Note on applying patches to the file system and database

    Dear all,
    I am new to Oracle E-business suite. Anyone in the house that can give a note (either a step by step or oracle metalink note) on how to apply patches to a file system or database.
    Kind Regards.

    Hi,
    Steps to apply an application patch:
    - Stop all application services (keep the database and the database listener up and running)
    - Download the patch from Metalink
    - Copy the patch file to any directory (i.e. /u04/patches)
    - As 'applmgr' do the following:
    - Source the environment file
    - $ cd /u04/patches
    - Type 'unzip <patch_number>.zip'
    - cd <patch_number>
    - Type 'adpatch'
    - When it prompts you to enter the patch driver, type 'u<patch_number>.drv'
    Apply the patch on the database tier first then on the application tier.
    Do not forget to 'Enable Maintenance Mode' from adadmin before applying the patch. Once you apply the patch successfully, 'Disable Maintenance Mode' from adadmin.
    And, always follow the steps in the patch README file.
    For database patches, follow the steps in the patch README file and apply the patch using opatch as oracle user.
    For more details about applying patches, please refer to:
    "Oracle Applications Maintenance Utilities" manual

  • Can we apply one off or any patch in the OWB Home

    Hi,
    I have OWB and Oracle DB installed in same server.
    OWB Version - 10.2.0.3.0
    DB Version    -  10.2.0.5.0
    I need to know that, can we apply CPU/PSU/Oneoff patches to the OWB Home. Is there any patches like that specifically for OWB.
    As I am new bee on OWB please provide your inputs on this.
    Thanks
    V

    I get the same issue. I thought that it's a problem in a security - the catalog pane is clear in a union report. But saved filters work in 11g. I migrated catalog from 10g to 11g and I see saved filters in the conditions. But you may add saved filters directly into xml. Go on Tab Advanced and edit Analysis XML. You have to add code like this
    <sawx:expr xsi:type="sawx:savedFilter" path="/shared/FOLDER/_filters/FOLDER/FILTER_NAME" name="FILTER_NAME"/> in a right place.

  • What patch(sets) to apply to new installed 10.2.0.1

    Hello,
    even though this was discussed alreaady several times, I must ask it once again, could anyone instruct me on how to do it right?
    I installed a totally new db server with a "fresh" downloaded 10.2.0.1. What patches do I have to download and to install to be "up to date"? Does that include, that my version shows 10.2.0.3 afterwards or do I still have a 10.2.0.1 but patched to the max?
    Please, before someone answers to look up Note:362203.1, I laready did. It sais "identify the appropriate patchset for you database". But if I try to use the metalink patch configurator and choose all the right items (database family, 10.2.0.1, Windows server 2003, compatible with, and so on) it comes up with only one patch (4926128) for oracle default password scanner.
    Can you help me?
    Thank you in advance,
    Chris

    oradba and tarrio, thank you both...!
    While I write this my download for patchset 10.2.0.4 completes. But tarrio says, 10.2.0.3 is the right one? That confuses me, I suppose tarrio ment .4 also, right?
    So, ig that sounds okay to you both, I will apply patchset 10.2.0.3 onto my 10.2.0.1. and will see how far I get, any usual problems to prepare for? I won´t do any backupds and so since the server is "naked" and nothing on it. If this works I have a) a feeling on updating all other server yes/no and b) my first completely patched server....
    Thank you so far,
    Chris

    Hi,
    patch 10 for SAP GUI 6.40 and version 8 of the screenreader extension have been published on service.sap.com and ftp.sap.com.
    Best regards,
    Christian

    Hi John,
    short update: I talked to the service market place team, and unfortunately the software corner is not a standard SMP site, so the nice features you know from other pages are not available, and won't be in the near future.
    I will post news about new patches here, but as mentioned this is not part of the official workflow and may not always happen, for example when I'm on vacation

  • Using provisioning can I apply patches to the rdbms and asm home

    We have 24 patches that have been recommended by Oracle support to apply to RDBMS and ASM home. I currently have been using provisioning via GRID to apply 1 patch.
    My question is can I use provisioning to apply all 24 patches at one time to both the RDBMS and ASM home?

    You can apply all the patchese at one shot but u have to use two different DP

    There is a fairly recent discussion on lkml about that patch: https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/9/22/630. So it seems the patch has some use, but is a poor workaround instead of a porper fix of the underlying problem.
