Applying actuals

Hi all,
Bit of advice on applying actual's.
We use weekly Timesheets to collect actual's and have weekly financial periods. The check-box which gives users the ability to book after an activity has finished is unchecked meaning they cannot book time
However, a number of users update the timesheet with an expected finish date which is after the planned finish but before the next weekly period cut-off and prior to the timesheet submission.
When applying actual's, can you apply them a number of times during the week to allow the timesheet to update the plans therefore revising the finish date and allow users to book time on the revised activities.
And is the "Actual's" info as in booked hours updated each time the Actual's are applied to.

Try keying in actual units for the resource usage and do not update the activity to an actual date.
You can do this in the resrouces usage spreadsheet.

    If you are using time sheet( progress reporter) than only use apply actual's. Otherwise update the project progress manually.
    My suggestion is take a back up copy of the project so that when ever you will encounter such kind of issue than it will help you.
    Remove and the actual's under status and  You need to reschedule the project from the start date.

    Apply actual uses time sheet i.e via progress reporter
    and Update progress is automatic update method with the help of progress spotlight.

    What the heck is the correct way to type them in?
    My site exists in a file called August10SixthMan. This file
    has a "Site" folder that holds all the html pages.
    The web address is actually videoimagination.net.
    So if I want to link a "Click Here" off the Flash to go the
    the html, how do I type it, exactly?
    I highlight the text, then go to the URL button and then?????
    Please help. I'm down to only a few brain cells.

    If you highlight text and use "text block" as link, you do
    not use GET URL action.
    Select text and hit CTRL F3 to open properties panel, than
    type in the largest
    box at the bottom of the panel (link icon:
    Site/filename.html
    than from the TARGET window you can define _blank to open in
    new window or _self
    to open in current window.
    If you want to apply actual getURL action than you need to
    make the text into a
    button, select it, hit F9 to open action script editor and
    have something like
    on (release) {
    getURL("Site/filename.html", "_self");
    again, _self for current window _blank for new window.

  • 3D PDF - CC License & Acrobat 9 Pro Extended

    As a CC memeber, can I not now install 9 Pro Extended to be able to use the 3D PDF options? My last company ran 9Pro Ex, but I have now bought the CC myself and in my new company (I am a freelance consultant) I have been asked to do it, but I really dont want to have to purchase plugins if this is available to me.
    I am exporting dxf out of a 3D land survey package, then into AutoCAD, and in a number of cases used the 3D capture of 9 Pro Ex to great effect as well as the conversion process of the DWG file.
    All help is appreciated, and if the answer is no, then what would be the best of the plugins to use? My 3D PDF's in the past have been multiple ground models / design models of land surfaces with a shading or material applied (actually, can't remember at the moment if I got the material application to work!!), so anyone that can advise on the best (and cheapest!!) solution would be appreciated.

    No you can't. CC subscriptions only include the current version of Acrobat, which doesn't have any 3D CAD importing functionality. Acrobat 9 was end-of-lifed a while ago, you can't buy it anymore and Adobe have stopped all support.
    Your best option is to look at the commercial plugins from http://www.tetra4d.com which include a reduced-price exporter that just works inside AutoCAD. Their software is compatible with Acrobat X Pro and XI Pro, either the retail version  or the one bundled with CC subscriptions (aside from the licensing they're identical).

  • Login items help

    I have installed a monitor calibration tool - ColorVision Spyder.
    It creates a Login Item - "ColorVisionStartup.app". Problem is - this "item" is unchecked in my account's "Login items" but still runs at login (I can see the icon of this app briefly appearing in the dock when color profile is applied; actually, there is no difference if I check or uncheck it)!
    I have checked both /System/Library/Startupitems and /Library/Startupitems and both folders are empty.
    How could this application be launched?

    That check box is only to "hide" the application when it launches. As far as I know any item in your "Login Items" list will launch at login time.
    I have checked both /System/Library/Startupitems and /Library/Startupitems and both folders are empty. How could this application be launched?
    Login items are listed in the file com.apple.loginitems.plist, which is in /Users/<you>/Library/Preferences.

    Hi Sateesh,
    Once you execute CK11N or CK40N Overhead is calculated for the material and Save.mark and release standard cost and  overhead part of your standard cost.
    To apply actual overhead to prodcution order,you should assign costing sheet to production order.once you issue goods to production order,you can run KGI2 transaction to apply overhead to prodcution order and credit to cost center/order/business process.

  • ASAP cleanup not working

    I have set the "Enable Job Cleanup on Startup" to true and 'ASAP Cleanup Rate' to 1d, but it seems the EPPM doesn't clean up the old completed or failed summaries WEB_ASAP and apply actuals WEB_ASAP records in the database.
    This causes the speed of opening up the P6 Professional to be very slow and always hang up around 36% for 1 min to proceed.
    Can you tell me what configuration is incorrect or any other miss configuration?
    I am currently using p6 R8.2.3.

    It describes: This issue was caused by having a large amount of orphaned records in the JOBSVC table (more than 30,000) that are called with the following query:

    The orphaned records were created after a user removed all the projects from the P6 database with the jobs still running
    We have another test database which has the same data as our production one, we clean up the JOBSVC table and the P6 login time is much quicker than production.
    You mentioned it was fixed from 8.3.2, does Oracle has any documentation specify this fixes? Or is it fixable in 8.2.3? If we need to upgrade to 8.3.2, I would rather just quickly clean up the JOBSVC table.

  • CBTA Recording does not start

    Hello all,
    I tried to get CBTA working.
    And alhough I did the setup like in the wiki documet ( also including applying actual notes) and everything is green in the Solman Setup, I cannot start a recording.
    I also switched on the scripting options to notify on attaching or opening a connection.
    The behavior is like this:
    I start the recording
    2 times gui pop up "A script is trying to attach to the GUI".
    The test creation wizard openspressing next
    gui pop up "A script is opening a connectino to system: " (no system named)
    Action on SAP Logon
    No display of any system anymore in saplogon
    frame color changes
    Test creation wizard:
    Sole message "Unable to start recording See log"
    Cancel is the only active option.
    My user in Solman and technical user in SUT do not show an authorization problem.
    ST05 trace in SUT for technical users shows logs, so it is acessing the SUT ( technical user is a service user).
    Function TAO_CHECK_AUTHORIZATION on SUT does not report missing authorizations for requested for role SAP_TST_AGENT_RFC, SAP_WDA_TST_RFC (as we are using a copies of roles).

    My assuption is that the setup is somehow wrong in a way that the recording script does not know where to log on (system is empty in popup).
    But from which field is this information taken? From the SUT Systems in the CBTA? Or does the naming of the systems in SAPLOGON has to be similar? (The system id in saplogon is unique for the SUT). Or is the Saplogon versin wrong?
    So I'm going to have a frustrated lunch.

    Looking at the logs in C:\Users\<myuser>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\CBTA\logs\CBTA.DefaultDomain.log i found out that there is a problem with logon, as I have to use a sap router string. This leads to sap note "2007184:SAP Router Support in CBTA" that requires an entry in saplogon for the cbta rfc destination. But it still does not work, so I need some more debugging time.

    Finally I found it:  the SAPLOGON was buggy; I patched to  SAP Logon for Windows, 740 Final Release,  7400.1.2.1100,  Build 1564922 and now it works.
    By the way, how can I close it?!? Set this as correct answer?

  • Confused.  Why is this?

    I have three machines here all set up with an identical timeline.  the source footage is mostly Canon MXF (from XF100) and a few smaller shots of AVCHD from a Canon HF G10.  Some shots have warp stabilizer applied.  Some shots have some rotation and zoom applied.  Some shots of colorista II applied (actually the majority).
    The three machines are:
    Windows 7, 3.4Ghz i7 (SandyBridge) with 16GB of 1600Mhz DDR3 ram, 1x SSD boot, 3x2TB as RAID 0,   GTX570 GPU.
    Mac Pro 3,1, 2.8Hgz 8 core with 16GB 800Mhz DDR2 ram, 1xSSD boot, 3x2TB as RAID 0, GTX285 GPU.
    MacBookPro (laptop) with 2.5Ghz i7 16GB 1333Mhz DDR3 ram, 1x internal 5400rpm 750GB drive, HD6770M GPU
    So, given these specs, why does the MacBooPro blow the doors off both the other machines in terms of rendering this 17 minute timeline?   We're talking almost twice as fast.  How come?
    I'm deleting all render files.  Emptying the trash, even rebooting to make sure nothing it cached in ram.  It still runs away with it.  What am I missing here?  I would have expected the laptop to be the slowest of all of them, whereas it's the Windows 7 PC that's the slowest overall, with a much faster CPU, faster HDDs and (I thought) better GPU.

    I've done a ton of testing on this trying to figure out whatis causing it.   I've even been the lengths of finding another editor with near identical hardare (he actually had dual GPU) running all from SSD etc.  Guess what?  He still gets just over 27 mins render time from this sequence.  He was equally blown away when I sat the MBP next to his beloved PC.
    BTW - he is on a clean install windows 8, 16GB ram, same CPU, same MOBO and latest GPU drivers.  Everything up to date.
    I've also tried a different MOBO and different GPU.  Broadly similar results (27-28 mins).
    I installed tools to track the CPU and GPU usage more closely.  With the GPU disabled there was 0% GPU usage.  With the GPU enabled there was around 12% GPU usage on this render.  Remember, Colourista II does NOT use CUDA, so having done all it's own processing using CUDA, Premiere Pro passes each frame off to Colourista II which does what it does and then passes it back. 
    On the MBP there is 0% GPU usage regardless of whether it's enabled or not.
    The MacPro shows similar usage to the Windows machine.  Around 10%-12% GPU usagle while rendering.
    I'm still stumped on this one.  If I'd never seen the MBP render this timeline I would have just assumed that 27 mins was normal with the faster MacPro rendering being down to 8 real cores instead of 4+4 in the i7.   And that's fine.  I would have been happy.  But the speed of the MBP on this sequence (it is slower and some other stuff) is what has me baffled.

    I started the credit rebuilding process last year and have taken my scores from the high 500's to the low 700's in that time. I guess my scores are pretty good now but until today I've never been approved for a regular credit card that wasn't secured! I was really hesitant to apply actually, then they approved me right away and I'm so happy! My current scores, per MPM, are around 670, but that's a recent hit due to another new account I opened mid-July (Amazon Store Card). I was worried that would lead to my denial by Chase but chose to apply anyway. I'm an AU on my dad's Chase Slate, and based on posts on this forum it seems like their reconsideration process is pretty generous with approvals. I figured there was little harm since I could point out my responsible handling of my AU account if I had to call. I now have: CapOne Secured, $500 limitChase Slate (Authorized User), $3200 limitBofA Cashback, $2000 limitAmazon Store Card, $1200 limitChase Freedom, $2200 limitThese last few weeks have been amazing credit-wise, actually... First BofA returned my deposit for their secured card, increased my limit and upgraded me to Cash Rewards, then I managed to get the Amazon Store Card (after being rejected just over a year ago), and now this! So pleased, and very excited to cancel my stupid CapOne Secured. Thanks for listening

    Hi,
    You use overhead calculation to allocate overhead through percentage-based or quantity-based overhead rates.  The basis for the allocation is the primary cost elements that you posted as overhead costs.  In the manufacturing industry, for example, these are usually the labor and material costs.
    To perform an overhead costing, you need to define control data during Customizing and include this in a Costing Sheet.  The Costing Sheet combines all parts of the overhead costing and determines the rules for calculating the values to be posted.  The Costing Sheet is comprised of a Calculation Base, Overhead Rate, and Credits.  The Calculation Base defines the primary cost elements to which a particular overhead is to be applied.  The Overhead Rate determines to what extent the percentage-based or quantity-based overhead rate should be applied to the direct costs.  It also specifies under which conditions (dependencies) the overhead rate is to be applied.  For example, you can calculate a defined overhead rate for each plant by specifying a plant dependency.  The Credit specifies the credit object and the credit cost element.  When overhead is applied to an order in the actual, another object is credited at the same time (such as a cost center or another order).  You allocate the overhead using a special overhead secondary cost element (category 41).
    You can apply overhead to both plan and actual costs, or based on commitment data.  Additionally, overhead may be applied to many orders simultaneously using a collective processing. 
    Use this transaction to apply actual overhead all orders for a plant or all plants.

    that was C ,all bcos it was good in coding.
    I want to search for those left languages , i want them just want them....
    and have a research on them , may be a will be hidden treasure on the ballubadshah's island...

  • Check actual apply log time on standby database after synchronization

    Hi All,
    I want to check the date and time stamp of applied archived logs on stanby database. How should I check that??
    My dataguard link was broken for sometime and meanwhile lot of transactions happened on primary database. Now When the link came up the synchronisation happened within few hours and ultimatly transport and appliy lag became 0. But now I want to check actual time taken for tranporting the logs and applying them on standby database. Is there any way I could do that easily..

  • Promo for Smartphone, oh wait, we didn't actually apply that to your account.

    I have had a smart phone since the day the Droid 1 came out, my partner has wanted one for the camera but not for the data plan. We are on a family share plan and we both had our upgrades come up in the last month or so.
    I upgraded my phone right away and we waited on hers. She planned on just upgrading her enV3 to another LG feature phone, and we went to the local Verizon Store in Asheville, NC where we just moved at the beginning of September from MN.
    What shouts at us but an awesome sign declaring a promotion for a smartphone data package for $20 a month! Awesome! Its only 300mb of download, but she can use WiFi, no big deal. That puts it in our budget, $30 is just too much. We go through the motions of picking out a smartphone for her, paying for it, buying accessories, the whole shebang...
    W get home and a few days later, I check our account because I noticed something funny on her account. Lets see... she has a $30 data package, well thats not right, we went into the store and bought a smartphone (which she really seems to enjoy now) and ONLY bought her the Droid Incredible 2 BECAUSE we could get a $20 data package.
    Now she called the store and had an extremely rude representative (who wouldn't give her her name), tell us that its not possible because she doesn't have a North Carolina Area code number... 
    Next I call customer service directly (I figure its best to deal with someone that professionally handles issues not just selling the phones), and after waiting on hold for 20 minutes they tell us they can't apply the promotion to her account because she doesn't have an area code that matches the promo. We can switch the area code of her number and then it can be applied.
    Problem is... we just moved here. She has job applications, professional connections, government applications, and other places that have her number as it is right now. She has had this phone number for 6 years! Imagine if someone told you you had to switch your number just to get a promotion you thought you were getting and dropped $200 for a phone to get it.
    Why do we have to switch her number? 
    I considered trying to get her number to Google Voice, but it doesn't seem like that would work.
    We will likely switch her number at the end of the month just before the end of the promotion, but its a huge hassle, and leaves us both extremely dissatisfied with Verizon and their poor service in the store and after leaving.
