Applying d110_to_1153.drv after AutoUpgrade (11.0.3 to 11i Upgrade)

Hi Friends,
I am in the process of upgrading Oracle Applications 11.0.3 (Vision instance) to 11.5.3 and have successfully reached till Category 4. AutoUpgrade ran successfully. Per upgrade manual of 11.5.3 (Page 5-2), before using Oracle Applications products apply d110_to_1153.drv patch. I am applying this patch via adpatch of the new APPL_TOP (the one created after running Rapid install) but autopatch gives error: The sequence AD_SESSIONS_S does not exist in the database. Failed to get identifier for the session.
Has anyone encountered such a problem, if so please share your solution.

What you need to do is look in $AD_TOP/patch/115/odf for the odffile which creates this sequence and then run adodfcmp to create it. Believe me you will come across many more of these type of things and I suggest you get familar with adodfcmp, FNDLOAD and FNDSLOAD.

While applying u4440000.drv to my 11.5.9 db to upgrade, I am getting a message before it even starts to do anything. The message is:
You must apply a Release 12 New Products Patch
before applying a Release 12 Maintenance Pack.
I've done upgrades before and have always had to apply a new products patch before I upgraded, but the upgrade guide (B31566-01) doesn't say anything about a new patch.
Are the new products included in one of the previous steps and maybe it failed? Very confusing...

We are also facing the same issue. But we are upgrading a 11.5.10CU2 environment with 11g DB to R12.
1)We have already applied R12.AD.A minipack (4502962)
2)When we try to apply (American English) unified driver (u4440000.drv)
the autopatch fails with error

Do you have all the songs contained in your iPod also in iTunes?
If the songs/content of your iPod all show up in iTunes under Library and the various subcategories (music, videos, ...) when you launch it, then they are "backed up" already. Then you can just restore your iPod and re-sync.
If the only existing copy of the files is on your iPod, then you need to move them from the iPod to another disk drive. I'm not sure how to do that, except for iTunes store purchases, you need to use some other procedure/program outside of iTunes.

Applying Strong Encryption after portal install

How do you apply strong encyryption after the portal install? I am sure I have seen in an installation guilde.
I am using IBM AIX. I downloaded the two encryption file sets:
SAP Cryptographic Library IBM AIX for RS6000/Power
SAP JAVA CryptoToolkit (J2EE Engine as of Release 6.30)
I am using EP6 SP11.
The CryptoToolkit contains a SDA file that I use SDM to install but I do not know what to do with the file in the Cryptographic Library.
Can anyone help?

Hi Patrick,
the "SAP Cryptographic Library" is the crypto code for ABAP servers. The "SAP Java Cryptographic Toolkit" is the one you need for SAP J2EE Engine (WebAS Java).
To be able to use any Java crypto toolkit ("JCE provider") without restrictions regarding key size etc., you need to replace the default "JCE policy files" shipped with the JDK by the "JCE policy files for unlimited strength encryption" from your JDK provider.
As you can see in SAP note 796540, for IBM JDK, you can download the files (after registration) from https://www6.software.ibm.com/dl/jcesdk/jcesdk-p

User Stuck at Applying User Setting after Login

I have windows server 2008r2 remote desktop environment. All my users stuck at Applying User Setting after login. I disabled remote desktop network interface for some time, then enabled and all fine. Checked logs in detail and nothing unusual found.
Could anyone assist to avoid recurrence of issue.

Does both the issue happens on same server? Is that same server with domain joined?

Server stucks at Applying Computer Settings after every reboot
From the issue it seems that DNS server is not getting properly communicate for the server and due to that reason you are getting slow connection response from the DC to connect. If you are using DHCP in your network, you need to check the DHCP server setting
also for properly assigned IP address to the server. You can run “ipconfig /all” and check the DNS setting on your affected server.
In addition to above one, you can edit the registry setting for a test and check the result.
1. Open registry editor with regedit
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click
Multi-string Value.
4. Type DependOnService, and then press ENTER.
5. Right-click DependOnService, and then click Modify.
6. In the Value data box, type CRYPTSVC, and then click OK.
7. Exit Registry Editor.
8. Restart the computer.
Actually there is Hotfix (KB 2379016) for server 2008 but you can try this solution for server 2008 R2.

After what seems to be a normal upgrade to the new Lion OS. My computer counted down to restart and left a white screen with only a file folder in the center of the screen with a ? in it. How do I get my screen back to normal? Jim L.

After what seems to be a normal upgrade to the new Mountain Lion OS X on my early 2008, 24" iMac. My iMac counted down to restart but did not turn all the way off. At the end of the count down the screen went white with a small file folder flashing on and off in the center of the screen. Also there is a ?, question mark in the miaale of the file folder. The screen responds to no keyboard or mouse commands. Request help.

My computer was doing the same as yours hinikuru but now there is a change. I turned my iMac off by the button on the back and left it off for about an hour. When I just turned it on the center Apple logo was back and soon the loading logo for the new Mountain Lion program came up. On the bottom of the logo there is a horizontal sliding bar that says the program will take 34 minutes to load. Time will tell. I have two iMacs and if this goes we'll I will install the new Mountain Lion tomorrow. Hinikuru, I was about to follow the information in one of the side bar blocks titled "More like this" on the right side of this screen when my iMac seemed to fix itself! Good luck. I think not all is lost.

i have created message and ran the concurent programme of generate message in 11i, after that i have called that message name into jdeveloper. message is displaying correctly. i am trying to update the message which i have created and again ran the concurent programme. but updated message is not reflected. its shwing old message.
Can't we update the mesages after ceated messages in oracle apps 11i? if so what is the process.
can any one know the process.

Kindly check in AOL and confirm that the message is changed. Also make sure the Jdeveloper code refers to the message code and the language for which the message text is set correctly. Thereafter delete the myclasses file and run the code again. Updated message should be shown.

Did you run all the software updates after the 10.6.3 update, especially this one which will bring you up to 10.6.8.

Then call your provider and ask them what is going on. They have probably changed POP to IMAP, 10.6.8 supports IMAP

After the latest iOS 5.0.1 upgrade I can't receive sms (only iMessage)

After the latest iOS 5.0.1 upgrade on my iPhone 4s (carrier is AT&T) I can't receive sms. I can send messages, I assume they are all going through iMessage, but unless someone is using iMessage, I dont' receive a reply. I spent 2 hours on the phone with AT&T and they said its an issue with the latest patch and that apple is working on it. Here is what we did:
1. Soft reset
2. Reset network connection
3. Deleted all messages and closed Messages app
4. Reactivated the phone
5. AT&T checked all the settings on their end
6. Restored the phone to factory settings and restored from back-up
Is anyone else having this problem? And more importantly has anyone been able to fix it? And if so, how?

AFAIK, it's been over three years since a WinXP laptop or desktop PC has been sold; I specifically bought a laptop in June 2008 because it was being clearanced by that retail chain to meet Microsoft's deadline, and got it real cheap. It was tagged for the store manager to purchase, but he let me have it because I exceeded his expectations for the services I performed for his store and thought I deserved it. Anything that wasn't made for Vista-compatibility will be very iffy with Win7, IMO - so that basically rules out anything that was made before like Oct or Nov 2007.
Unless another DNS 11 user happens to see this thread and can verify whether it works in Firefox 6.0 or not, I don't what to recommend except for you doing a web search to see what other DNS / Firefox users have to say about compatibility.

To fix the keyboard lag:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
You will not lose any data but it will reset the settings in your Settings app.

The call initially works but then after a minute or so, they stop hearing me, even though I can hear them. Sometimes it goes the other way and I can't hear them.
Please advise how to remedy ASAP.
