Applying GRC-addons in Backend systems

Dear Freinds,
I am trying to install the GRC RTA's VIRSANH 530_700 and VIRSAHR 530_700 in the SAP backend systems. I started applying the Add-on for the VIRSANH which prompted a password by displaying the note 1133167. When checked in SMP it says "The requested SAP Note is either in reworking or is released internally only" and the same message for the Note:1133168(VIRSAHR). Please suggest
how to proceed like do i need raise an OSS to SAP Team.
Your advice/help in this regard is highly appreciated

You are right, the notes is currently unavailable, however i have the saved passwords mentioned in the notes when it was available.

I want to install GRC AC 5.3 RTAl in a backend system. (VIRSA)
Where we have below setups already. We have a NW 2004 server with GRC 5.3 Installed and SLD is configured. Now we need to install GRC AC 5.3 RTA in Backend systems, so that we connect the backend system with the GRC server (NW 2004).
The backend system has ECC6.0 + Oralce 10g in AIX 5.3. This system is upgraded from 4.6c to ECC 6.0 recently.
We have already VIRSA 400_700 release in this system. Now we need to install GRC AC 5.3 RTA upon this for configure newer version of VIRSA (GRC).
Now here my quaries ??
1) When we install GRC 5.3 RTA in this system then it over write the existing VIRSA 400_700 release or installed in separate ??
2) We plan to take hole system backup before the installation. Including this we need to take backup of the existing VIRSA 400_700 release. Then what are the things i need to take backup and how ?? (tables of VIRSA backup only how ??)
3)Any one have the RTA installation procedure please forward it ??
4) After installation how can i sure that install is success or not ?? how can i check ??
5) What are configuration settings for NW 2004 server and Backend system after installation require(Procedure) ??
And i request to the guys to post the procedures/process is best way to share knowledge global.

AE 5.2: Roles get provisioned to backend system but profiles randomly not

Hi,
we are currently switching from profiles to roles and therefore created user request containing the roles to be assigned and the profiles to be removed. The roles are assigned successfully to the user but the some profiles are not removed randomly. The backend user used by AE has the correct authorizations.
Had anybody such a problem before?

Hi Hersh,
we did a user role comparison several times before and users had the profiles already for a period of time. Also the request get submitted radomly meaning we can't monitor all the requests because the last approvers approve the request sometime and the the request gets provisioned. Further, AE should provide any message in such a case.
Could it be if the user to be changed is logged on to the system that such a scenario could happen.But when changing user authorization in the backend system itself this doesn't have any impact and this also applies for the GRC backend user.

Reg:RTA Plugin's for Backend system

Hello All,
We have applied VIRSANH RTA Plugin and it's related support packs on our backend ECC system and also the system is HR system so is it mandatory to apply VIRSAHR plugin also .What would happen if we don't apply VIRSAHR package .Would it affect the HR functionality of whole backend system or will it only not allow us to use the HR functionality in GRC.
We are not planning to use any HR functionality in GRC.

Thanks Frank for such a quick reply.The only reason I am asking is what if we go live and later install the VIRSAHR plugin i.e. after a month or two. In the meanwhile will it affect the functionality or affect the backend system.We are on very tight schedule hence all these q's else in ideal scenario we would have installed virsahr and then proceeded with go-live.

Backend System with Release 701 are not supported

When updating the vendors in SRM system using TC - BBPUPDVD getting the below error message :-
Backend System with Release 701 are not supported
Have checked in table - BBP_BACKEND_DEST, the backend entry is properly maintained.
Can any one advice.

The problem is resolved for vendor relication after applying the below notes 1313972 and 1372175.
ECC sandbox seems to be in 701 release. When the backend system ECC is in release 701, vendor replication fails with the error message that 'Backend system release 701 not supported'. We need to apply notes 1313972 and 1372175 to fix this issue. I have applied them in Sandbox and the issue is resolved now.

Unable to define connector for multiple backend systems in BRM

Hi,
I am on GRCFND_A V.11 and SP04
I have multiple backend systems integrated with GRC box. So far I was using one backend connector as default one for role maintenance but it is not feasible if you have to create roles in variuos backend connected systems. I know one way to do so, i can keep changing the default connectors whenever i need to create roles but that is obviously not at all the onw any one would like to go with.
So, I tried to create unique connector groups for every individul backend connectors. But the issue is, the moment i assign the backend connector to the respective connector groups, the same gets reflected to other connector groups as well. So, whenever i either add or delete some of the connectors to any connector groups it gets modified/changed from all of the connector groups.
These are the backend connectors where i have to create roles from BRM whenever needed.

I followed to the ink: GRC AC 10 BRM: Default Connectors with Multiple Back-end R/3 Systems , which is the same as mine issue, but not able to come to the solution point.

J2EE fails to connect to the ABAP backend system

We have J2EE 640 Sp16 Abap+Java. As we configured this node in high-availability, we applied note Oss 757692 to the J2EE.
Anyway the J2EE does not come up.
Into the std_server0.out we see the following:

We double checked the set6tings of note 757692 and all of them seems to be correct.
We changed also the psw of SAPJSF in the ABAP stack and also in Global server configuration by mean of the configtool for the ume.r3.connection.master.psswd item
Neverthless we continue to recive this error.

Could it be because you tried to do this in an AS Java + AS ABAP installation? The note 757692 says quite distinctly, "This note covers the procedure for the j2ee engine only!" The statement does not make it clear if this note refers to only a standalone AS Java.
My saying so is not very helpful, but the note also goes on to say, "Should you wish to change the host name of a server in a test !!! !!! system, you should do so only with the assistance of an SAP!!! !!! consultant.!!!

BBPGETVD throwing an error -Backend system with release 701 are not support

Experts,
After changing the Backend connection from R3 4.6c to ECC6 sysem in our BBPCRM4.0,
the transaction "BBPGETVD" is not working, which is throwing an error as
"Backend system with release 701 are not supported".
Already we have applied some of the notes (822883 &862290)

Are you able to replicate other data like plants, product categories from the same backend system or are you facing the same error?
Also please check the logical system and see if they are assigned to the client correctly. (in SPRO settings)

Webdynpro application - connecting to backend system

Hi,
Iam developing an application in webdynpro.Iam able to generate the application in Frontend by using BAPI_BANK_GETLIST but its not taking the data from the backend system.
Is it necssary to create the application in backend.
Will any one please help me to sort out this.

To get the data from your BAPI you need to follow steps
1. create a Model.
2. open your data modele and add it.
3. Map with your Controller and the View.
4. Apply a table on your ivew
4. Excute your BAPI.
PS: IF data is still not pulling up from back end then you need to test BAPI on your backend ..it working fine or not

Error while reading the PO in the Backend system. Inform system admin

Hi All,
We are having a peculiar issue of 'Error while reading the PO in the Backend system. Inform system admin'.
The P.O is in ordered status in SRM but the same is not getting transferred to backend ECC system.
No error messages or logs in RZ20, SLG1 any where.
All programmes like BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and CLEAN_REQREQ_UP are running fine.
Tried pushing the P.Os manually using function module (BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC_V2) to backend ECC.
It was working fine till a week ago and suddenly this problem is coming.
We had implemented few OSS notes suggested by SAP for the issue of 'shopping carts appearing in sourcing cockpit even after P.O creation' in both development and test system.
Now this issue is coming up in test system where as development system is working fine.
Please let us know where to look and how to resolve this issue.
A quick response would be highly appreciated.

I am facing the same issue with one PO in the Production system.
SRM 5.0 , R/3 4.6C Extended classic scenario.
I checked the status of other PO's created today. I see them in R/3. There is one PO which was created a week back which shows up as "ordered" in SRM but the PO is missing in R/3. When clicked on the details on the web, system throws the error
Error while reading the PO in the Backend system. Inform system admin.
Message no. BBP_CF010
I checked RZ20, SLG1 no errors were found. I checked RFC connection, it was working fine too.
I tried pushing the PO using the FM BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC, it did not solve the problem.
In SRM WEBGUI Process PO - Item data -->follow on documents --> PO status is shown as Archived.
Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Please throw some light on this issue.

I am working on extended classic scenario and the problem is that after the PO ís ordered it gives the message " Error while reading PO in backend system Inform system administrator" and this is happening only for a particular local PO.
When I check the PO number in R/3 it does not exist.
The number range is correct both in SRM and R/3 (external no. range is ticked).
Also I could not find any logs in RZ20 nor a dump.
When I checked in bbp_pd, couldnt find any relevant information except that the PO has the status ordered.
I am on SRM version BBPCRM 4.0 SAPKU40007
R/3 version 4.6 C SAPKH46C47

There are two BADIs which might help you in achieving the job.
BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI [Control Extended Classic Scenario ]
and
BBP_GROUP_LOC_PO
[Exit Grouping of Items for Local Purchase Orders]
Read the documenatation first, using transaction - SE18
before implementing them for your requirement.

The problem is that after the PO ís ordered it gives the message " Error while reading PO in backend system Inform system administrator" .
When I check the PO number in R/3 it does not exist.
The number range is correct both in SRM and R/3 (external no. range is ticked).
In RZ20,i find the log:
The error ocurred by processing event SENT_AGAIN with GUID 490F3C0834351AC6E10000000AE48838 and object_id= 3000000307
The R/3 System Version is 4.6C.

This problem is hapeening for all PO's in the system.
The no range is smae in both the systems.In SPRO ,howevre we have not maintained the no range in SRM for R/3 system.

Error while posting return delivery to backend system

Hi All,
We are facing problem when we are posting return delivery. Currently we are in ECS implementation. Our SRM is 7.0 EHP3.
Scenario goes as, SC is created then PO is created then further confirmation is created and on creating return delivery of this confirmation, this return delivery goes error in process.
Now on further analyzing, I found out that outbound IDoc in SRM is getting posted successfully but when ECC receives this IDoc it is saying please enter reason for movement 122. This reason for return is already entered while creating the return delivery. But this reason is not flowing in IDoc (Message Type MBGMCR and Basic Type MBGMCR01) in SRM and further to ECC. This field MOVE_REAS in IDoc is populating blank.
Can anybody help me resolving this problem? Any pointers or SAP notes related to can also be suggested.

Unable to create a PO(in backend system) in ECS

Hello all,
I used the FM BBP_PD_SC_CREATE, BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE, BBP_PD_SC_SAVE to create a shopping cart in ECS scenario.
The problem is I am unable to create a PO in the backend system for the shopping cart. I am also getting the message 'Vendor 3000014598 not intended for purch. org. Ref: MM Purchasing Org'.
Please help me in this context.

The problem with organization structure , Please check your organizaiton structure.
Change company code /Pur.org Separatlly it will work.
while replicating vendor please select the flag 'with out reference to back end pur.org' and choose local purchasing organization.

How to find out Shopping Cart created in backend system or ECC system

Hi All,
I am new to SAP SRM7.0. The Client has implemented "Extended Classic Scenario". i.e. SC>Approval>PO>Confirmation>Invoice process in ECC.
We created few SC with "Free text" i.e. Describe what you need option in SC.
The SC is created with 4 digit number 2690. Also, the Status " Approved". since its low value.say 5 GBP.
I have like 25 to 30 SC created like this: I need to know the following:-
1. When i open SC and look for Related document, i see only SC number , but no Follow on document. not sure why ?
2. How can i know the list of SC in backend system. i.e like ECC of the SRM backend system. Please let me know the table name it get stored.. I searched EBAN and found only those which has PO is stored.
also can you please advise if by creating the SC in SRM.. will get replicated in ECC system ?. or only if Follow on doc gets created it will get replicated in ECC system?.

Hi,
SC is never replicated to backend.
Extended scenario document flow is SC -> SRM PO(Main) -> ERP PO(Copy).
Please go to BBP_PD transaction and navigate to SC item detail. You see what is the follow-on document.
