Applying license---URGENT

hi all,
I have a problem regarding the license application of a portal system.
The J2EE engine is down because of expiry of the temporary license.
As a result the Visual Administrator could not start the connection.
I am known to a procedure of installing the license using COMMAND PROMPT.
Please help me in that procedure.
Send me the steps of installing the license using command prompt or any other method so that i could effectively start the system and continue the process.
Please send the links to docs or presentations regarding this scenario.

No worries......
Just Stop the J2EE engine through SAPMMC. (if running partially, both the instances should show Gray colour).
Change the system date to appropriate one.
Then start the J2EE engine though SAPMMC.
Log into the Visual administrator & apply the license.

When your NetWeaver license expires, it can be restarted, but will only run for 1/2 hour, to allow installing a new license.
Step 1- Start NetWeaver CE from the control console
Step 2 - Log on to NetWeaver Administrator http:///[server]:50000/nwa and go to Configuration tab then Infrastructure sub-tab, then Licenses
Step 3 - Make note of your System Number and Active Hardware Key in the System Parameters section
Step 4 - Navigate to the Service Marketplace http://service.sap.com/licensekey
Step 5 - You are looking for SAP Business Suite - SAP Products with ABAP Stack, Without ABAP stack (WEB AS Java-J2EE Engine) SAP Enterprise Portal link
Step 6 - Fill in your Hardware Key and System # - Make sure you choose this License Type: J2EE Engine - Web Application Server Java (it is not the default selection)
Step 7 - A message at the bottom of the page will note a new key has been generated and you can Download the txt file needed (you also receive an email with the info as well)
Step 8 - (Restart NetWeaver CE - if its timed-out) On the Licenses page of nwa click Install from File > Browse to the txt doc you downloaded and ADD
You now have the new license install. Make note of the date to schedule the time for any future updates, so that service is not interrupted.
If you cannot access the license key on the Service Marketplace you will need to contact your SAP account representative.

To apply license in FWSM (Active-Active mode) and disable failover

Dear Team
I want to apply license to increase security context in FWSM which is running in Active-Active mode on VSS Core switches
As per below document, first we need to disable failover by entering 'no failover' command on active FWSM and then apply the license seperately on both FWSM.
I just want to know when i will disable the failover then standby move to pseudo-standby state.
Will there be any services impact which are running behind the FWSM when disbaling the failover and then re-enabling the failover.

Hi,
I think in your case as it is Active/Active , there is one extra step required.
You need to make all the contexts active on one unit and on the other one all should be standby.
Then disable the failover and update the license and re-enable the failover.

I need to know an answer to this , because I am installing a Netweaver 2004s component and during installation, I am being prompted for Solution Manager Key.
Can I use an unlicensed Solution Manager instlallation for genereating key?

Yes, for generating key, you can use the Solution Manager for which you have not installed license.

Apply Licensing for 5508 HA

Hi All,
I have 2 5508, 5508-A has 500 permanent licenses and 5508-B 200 evaluation licenses, I'm setting up location awareness by adding 180 APs
to 5508-B and then migrating APs on 5508-A to 5508-B and then setting up HA. It is being done this way to avoid disruption to production setup whilst testing, in total I will have 300 APs.
I just need clarification on a couple of points.
1. can I apply additional eval licenses to 5508-B so it supports 300 APs
2. If I apply the HA license to 5508-A, will it push the permanent license count to 5508-B and become standby or will the configuration
on 5508-B be pushed to 5508-A and the APs disconnect from 5508-B and move to 5508-A and 5508-A is primary whilst 5508-B remains secondary.
3. In the event of failover will this be transparent to the MSE and Prime 1.3
I have read the High Availability (AP SSO) Deployment Guide, and wonder if I'm making it to complicated in terms of migrating APs
between controllers and should just work on the production controller, but be careful whilst doing it.

Well I don't know if this migration will be transparent. The license for an HA sku WLC is 500 which is the max, but the real license count depends on the primary WLC. The HA WLC just needs a 50 ap license to perform the HA role. I don't really think you should use eval license for HA as you will have to disable AP SSO in order to add a true license and then enable AP SSO. This might become an issue if when you disable AP SSO, your wireless goes down. HA AP SSO hasn't been very stable and that's why there is always risk in doing what you want to do.

Applying license Java Standalone

The following are the steps taken for applying the license
in the service market place.
1. Clicked on the New System button in the market place.
2. entered the following details :
          System ID : E23
          System name: EPDQ001
          System type : Development system
          SAP product : SAPnetweaver
          Product version : SAP Netweaver 7.0
Under technical usage type : Appliation Server Java, Development Infrastructure,
                    EP,EP core ( options i have selected )
          Database : Oracle
          Operating system: NT/Intel
          productive date =
          Request Type = Standard,J2EE_engine
          CLICK ON Continue button.
     Hardware key : entered the hardware key
     Requet type : J2ee Engine
I have selected these options and applied for License in the market place and applyed the
license i got through visual admin.
Java Engine trurns Red after every thirty minutes, could any one tell me whether
it is the right way to apply in the market place.

Please refer to SAP note 870871 and make sure you are following the instructions.
Please also refer to SAP note     731673   for error analysis.
If that doesn't work, please paste the exception from defaultrace file over here.

I can't Apply license at ACS 5.1

maybe it looks stupied Q , but this my first time with ACS 5.1 server 1120
i configure the basic configuration using CLI setup command , then I connect https://10.2.2.7 but it ask me for the username and password , when i put the password i cann't login ( invalide username or password )
How to apply the license key ?
when I login to the NAC CAM first time , it ask for the license key before ask for the username and password , what about ACS 5.1 ?

Raise a message to SAP for getting the credential file for Adobe Interactive license.
You can go to http://service.sap.com/message
Give the keyword for Adobe License as BC-SRV-FP
and search.
in message type your request for Permanent License to SAP.
They will provide reply with Some File and password.
Apply with Visual Administrator.

I am new to java windows based applications.Now i am creating one product.I wants to integrate some license agreement with the customer.once,he is installed his system it will work only valid for months or yearly license agreement.once the date is expired the product is won't be allow to the customer to work with this product.

Let's just skip over the long debate about why this is pointless and just cut to the chase of doing what you want shall we?
Turn your application into a web application, where all the important code is only executed on the server and that server is under your control.
Or. Don't do anything like this.

Error while applying license

Dear Techies,
We are having an issue while applying permanent license to our Solution Manger production Server.
This problem was araised after we have installed SNC Router on the same box.
Temporary license was expired and we are checking by logging in using " SAP* " id.
While applying new licnese using slicense ,
"rc of SsfEncode: 11 = SSF_API_ENCODE_FAILED = ASN.1 encoding failed" This is the error we are getting.
In Trust Manager "STRUST" entire PSE files are gone and system is not allowing me to check with the passoword.
entire PSE certificates are not available.
User Variables are defined as mentioned below

SCCM 2012 Packages - Software and apply license

I think I already know the answer, but I just want to check that the package options are selected correctly as I'm a newbie when it comes to packaging;
We are trying to install Trapeze viewer (from Onstream, part of our Idox solution). The software calls for the License to be applied manually after the install (just double click the file and it applies itself, the users are able to do this). We are migrating
our estate onto Win 7 x64 and this will have to be done on 400+ machines.
I've created a SCCM 2012 Package with two Programs; 1 to install the software from MSI file and the 2 to run the license file in hoping that when a new user of a machine logs in the Trapeze license is applied for the first time;

Hi Torsten,
license.tpz applies a license to the trapeze software, manually it is just double clicked, and then the trapeze software opens stating that the license will take affect next time the software is ran.
Is it worth me pointing it to the trapeze.exe file in the command line, such as:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Onstream Trapeze\trapeze.exe" REGLICENSE=\\server\share\Onstream Trapeze\license.tpz
on my initial testing it did work to one of my test machines, but didn't re-run the license when another user logged in and came up with a license not found message.

Apply the SAP license for the HA from the Application itself

Hi Experts,
i want to apply the SAP license for HA installation from the application itself i mean from the transaction slicense
but my question is:
should i run the SAP application on node A and apply license there useing tcode SLICENSE
and then switchover the resources and run the application on the node B and apply another one there or what?
Note: this installation based on ABAP AS only
if there are any other ways please let me know?

First, Install the license to CI;
Second,Swich CI to another node (backup server), and install another licence.

License Problem in Abap+java stack

Hello,
I have installed my SAP XI/PI System with ABAP+JAVA Stack.
I have applied SAP license at ABAP Stack using slicense for web as abap+java, so is there any need to apply license again for java stack, because when i am checking in Visual Admin under license node , it is showing license is not installed.
If it is not required then why it is showing in Visual Admin tool that license is not installed. can some one give me guidance on this issue.

No restart will not make any difference.
You can overlook this. If in the /nslicense screen you see a permanent license, then no need to worry furthur..
Also in the system info page , you will see:
Software Product :Days Until Expiry
