Applying menu window options to multiple documents

Hi,
I wonder if someone can help me with a problem.
We need to open a menu item (it's actually an extension, not native to ID) set the options we need within that window, then apply that to multiple documents. Is there a simple way to script this (it's a language I don't speak yet!)? I have found various batching scripts but these only open all the documents and the menu window one after another, so you have to re-set your options in the window every time.
Thanks

If there isn't a scripting way to do this, does anyone know of any extensions that would allow you to do this?

  • How do you apply a master page to multiple documents at the same time?

    How do you apply a master page to multiple documents at the same time?

    Hi friends,
    Thank you for trying to help me out.
    Let me explain it a bit to remove the ambiguity.
    I have 10 documents nested under a book. Each of these documents have 'n' number of pages. I want to apply my custom made master page "First" to the first page of all these 10 documents in one go. The remaining pages of the documents have to be in default "Right" master page format. How will I do it?
    I tried selecting all the documents and importing the formats from another document with the custom made "First" master page. The master page format is getting imported but the first page of all the documents still remain with the default "Right" master page format.
    I think now my question is more clear...

  • Menu/Window Options?

    Does anyone happen to know how to make all the windows I open on my new MBPro show items in a folder as a list rather than as Icons? I want to make this my default setting but there does not seem to be any such option in either the system or finder preferences. Thanks.
    Seth

    what you are describing is column view(right view button), the detailed list view nimrodz28 was looking for the detailed list view(middle view button). afaik there is no way, short of manually editing the plist file, to change to list view as default.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that after client upgraded to Office 2013 the option for Upload multiple document was grayed out.
    I try to reproduce the issue in my environment, however everything works well.
    My configuration of system is:
    Windows 8.1;
    IE11;
    Office 2013 32bit.
    Please repair the Office 2013 to check whether it works.
    In addition, there are many thing you need to check. Please refer to:

  • Can't see 'Upload Multiple Document' option in sharepoint 2013

    After upgrading Sharepoint 2010 to 2013, i can't see 'Upload Multiple Document' option under files tab. I have downloaded and place the file 'STSUPLD.DLL' into Office14 and Office15 folder but IE is not asking me to run any microsoft ActiveX control as mentioned here
    http://thuansoldier.net/?p=2289
    I am using  Office 2010 with IE9 (32 bit) .
    Am i missing anything ?

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you could not see the “Upload Multiple Document” option in SharePoint 2013.
    In SharePoint 2013 the “Upload Multiple” Options has been depreciated. As we all known, there are two alternative ways to Upload multiple documents:option
    1 -  Using the drag-and-drop functionality, option 2 - Windows Explorer view.
    You can upgrade your IE from IE9 to IE10 then check whether it works.
    You can also use the Windows Explorer view to upload multiple documents.
    You will probably get the following error.
    To resolve this add the SharePoint site as Trusted in your Browser and Make sure that the WebClient service is running. To do this, follow these steps:
    Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then press Enter.
    In the list of services, locate the WebClient service, and then make sure that its status in the Status column is set to Started. If its status is not set to Started, double-click WebClient, click Start, and then click OK.
    Once done restart the browser and try opening the Windows Explorer again. In the Windows Explorer you can copy and paste Multiple documents as done in earlier SharePoint versions.

    Hi Ernestprinter,
    Check if you have multiple Java versions installed on your computer.
    Try clean boot http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
    Also i would suggest uninstall security software and install it back.
    Currently you may use F9 key to restore Menu bar.

  • Opening multiple document in single instance (window)

    Someone here mentioned this: "Acrobat 9 no longer supports opening multiple documents in the same window."
    This is disappointing.. does anyone know the workaround / hack?
    Running Acrobat 9 Standard.
    Thanks,
    Devin

    Unfortunately yes you're correct. The cause was due to no MDI support, which Adobe removed starting at v9.
    Link: http://blogs.adobe.com/acrobat/2008/09/mdi_vs_sdi_in_acrobat.html
    If I find a workaround worth mentioning, I'll post it here later.
    Thanks.

  • Can I chnge the context menu "open in new tab / window" options back to the previous version (reverse order)?

    In Firefox 4, the context menu "open in new tab / open in new window" options are in reverse order compared to 3.6. Can this be "fixed," i.e. change the menu item order? I use this feature constantly and it's a matter of habit, also still use some 3.6 machines.

    You can use the Menu Editor extension to re-arrange the menus - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/menu-editor

  • No staggered windows with XCode 3 in a Cocoa multiple document application

    I want to release a new version of an application that I developed using the Cocoa multiple document framework. With XCode 2.x when I opened new document windows they were staggered so that the user could see that there was more than one document open. Since I switched to XCode 3, new document windows are created at the same location on the screen and new ones cover the older ones. I liked the old way. I can't find anything about this in the documentation or release notes. Is this the new way to do this according to the Human Interface Guidelines or a bug or what?

    I see that part of my problem is terminology. The term for exposing new windows is cascading. It is possible to tell a document's window controllers to cascade its windows when initializing an NSDocument subclass like this:
    - (void) windowControllerDidLoadNib:(NSWindowController *) aController
    [super windowControllerDidLoadNib: aController];
    NSArray* myDocWindowControllers = [self windowControllers];
    int numControllers = [myDocWindowControllers count];
    unsigned int controllerNumber = 0;
    while(controllerNumber < numControllers){
    NSWindowController* theWindowController = [myDocWindowControllers objectAtIndex: controllerNumber];
    [theWindowController setShouldCascadeWindows: YES];
    controllerNumber ++;
    }

    I can`t see in the menu window of dreamweaver cs6 the option database and i can`t work with a database, thanks.

    Are you quite certain you have DW CS6 and not DW CC (13)?
    Server-behaviors were deprecated in CC.

  • Can I apply a Rights Management policy to multiple documents in a folder at the same time using Adobe Acrobat Pro?

    How can I apply a single Rights Management Policy to multiple documents in a folder at the same time instead of applying it to each document individually?

    I don't know of a method with Acrobat, why not set up a watch folder and just drop all the files in that folder to have rights applied.  You might want to look at the workbench help if you've not done this before.
