Hi All,
I wanted to add additional language in my oracle EBS 11.5.10.2.
Can anyone suggest from where I get the language patch for oracle 11i ebs..

Hi Experts,
Recently i install 12.1.1 and then upgrade it to 12.1.3.
Now i need to apply NLS patches(Canadian French and Spanish language).
On metalink i find pre-requisite of both patches and post patch are same.
The prerequisite patch for both is p8576725_12.1.0_R12_GENERIC.zip
and post patch is p6746000_R12_f.zip.
Can i apply it one by one or After applying french , i applied spanish patch ?

NLS patch for EBS 12.0.6

Hi ,
I have a EBS 12.0.6 fresh install. Now I wanted to install japanese language and i am looking for the NLS patch number. I am able to find the 6394500 for 12.0.4. Should I use the same for 12.0.6 also. Please help.

Some error while applying nls patch,need some help

i run my ebs R12.1.1 on linux X64 in vmware.
i have already installed it.i can login it too.
now i am applying patch 4440000.drv,as i am a chinese....forgive my limit english - -!
i have get some help from other threads when i first get this virtual machine,but this time is a little bad.... I hope I can get some directly..
after very very 3days hard work,I am standing at the end of the patch,but,it just still have some errors:

I tryed to restart adpatch.sh and continue the patch --- it helps me one time in the past 3days---i got this:

the messages above are copy from end of adpatch.log which is 10M size---there are over 17000 files in the document of "log" now.
i search the BAIDU,it seems that i can fix it by adadmin.sh?is that ture?i don't feel it right....
OR
can some guaide me get it through these error?some tips on metal-link will be fine too,i get an id from my friend.

I restart the vm-machine and then disable maintain model,the start the DB and APP.
I can choose chinese to login and i did it.
maybe the i need "Translation Synchronization Patches " .The left part is english and the right part is chinese.
i believe that there must had some forms bad,it just not read now.

i still believe that my ebs is r12.1.1 and the patch 4440000.DRV make some part of my ebs back to 12.0.0.
should i apply the new patch--6678700.drv to make it update to 12.1.1?

Apply Patch in EBS R.12.1.1

Hello All,
I have some issues in applying application patch. my ebs version is R.12.1.1 Linux x86 and patches will be apply are *9055234*, *9366099*, and *10364346*.
I follow steps to apply patch from Hussein Sawwan. but I face some problem.
Steps to apply a patch:
- Stop all application services (keep the database and the database listener up and running)
- Download the patch from Metalink
- Copy the patch file to any directory (i.e. /u04/patches) --- if there is not any patch directory so I should be create a new patch directory below $/u0/. is't true?
- As 'applmgr' do the following:
- Source the environment file --- I found 2 file .env are APPSVIS_oradev.env and VIS_oradev.env in /u0/oracle/VIS/apps/apps_st/appl/ which one is true?
- $ cd /u04/patches
- Type 'unzip <patch_number>.zip' --- pacth file which has been downloaded are *.xml* type not *.zip* type. so what should I do?
- cd <patch_number>
- Type 'adpatch'
- When it prompts you to enter the patch driver, type 'u<patch_number>.drv' --- where I found patch driver? is patch driver including in path file?
Any suggestion please?? All answrers will be helpful..

Wat is the best way to apply NLS during Upgradation?

Dear All,
I am currently upgrading our EBS 12.1.3 application to 12.2.3
We have several NLS languages (Spanish, Hebrew, German..)
After installing EBS 12.2.0 in Upgrade mode, I have applied the american driver and Online help.
As the status of the NLS languages are "Installed", I have applied the NLS patches of AD, TXK, 12.2.0 and Online help.
Is this a correct approch of applying NLS patches ?

Best way is use of LDB's. Which will check all authorization and all data releated to current date ie latest date. Best use LDB if not atleast use FM EMPLOYEE_CHECK_AUTHORIZATION. This is just a sample example fm i am giving. Similar lot of FM's are available.

Our problem is a bit later in the process, but very similar to the OP. The records do exist in AD_TRACKABLE_ENTITIES, but reflect the incorrect codelevel because they were not updated due to the ORA- error

Opatch error while applying Windows patch 6 (9.2.0.8.0) on EBS 11i Database

Hi,
I am upgrading our EBS 11i database (9.2.0.5.0) to 9.2.0.8.0 by following note : 216550.1 (Interoperability Notes Oracle Applications Release 11i with Oracle9i Release 2 (9.2.0)).
I have installed Opatch 2617419 and then installed 6880880 (p6880880_101000_WINNT.zip) (OUI patch).
While applying Windows patch 6 (5916268) ,using opatch I am getting the following error:
OPATCH_JAVA_ERROR=OPatch Exception while trying to check for Mini Patchset
Cannot check bug/file conflict and component prerequisite checks.
ERROR: OPatch failed during prerequisite check.
OPatch returns with error code = 150
Any help to resolve the issue is appreciated.
I saw note +'OPATCH_JAVA_ERROR=OPatch Exception While Trying to Check for Mini Patchset' while applying patch using opatch 1.0.0.0.x [ID 971783.1].+
There are no '&' in the inventory file. There are a lot of '<'. I dont know if this note is applicable.

I am following section 2 only.
In Section 2, # 7 we have to apply latest Oracle Patching Tool (OPatch) patch 2617419 and in # 8 we have to apply additional 9.2.0.8 RDBMS patches ( in our case it is Windows patch 6.
I am getting issue while applying Windows patch 6 using opatch.

NLS patch for 12.1.2 to enable ARABIC..

HI EVERYBODY,
I am a newbie to EBS
Its a new installation of 12.1.1 on OEL (5.3). Upgraded to 12.1.2 by applying patch 7303033. Forgot to apply a patch on 12.1.1 to enable ARABIC LANGUAGE. As the NLS patch should be applied on the base release. Is there anyway i can apply this patch or do i have to do reinstallation for complete application. Ur suggestions would be highly appreciated.

from the edelivery.i download the ebs files. the english install,it's all ok.but after install the nls patch, the forms word is change.

I can see that you are applying NLS pack to the Vision instance. Vision demo database comes with WE8ISO8859P1 character set. You have to change this is case you want to install Chinese (I guess UTF8 will work with your NLS).
Oracle does not support changing character set for Vision database but there is a workaround. I suggest you contact Oracle support for the detailed instructions.

XML Publisher 5.6.0 patch on EBS 11.5.10.2 with 10G DB

Hi All,
I am trying to apply XML Publisher 5.6.0 patch to get the Executable XDODTEXE.
I followed the meta link ID 337999.1.
According to the ID I applied 4561451 patch and followed post patching steps.
After applying patch I am able to see the XML publisher version in the database but I am not able to open EBS login page.I checked in access.log,error.log.I didn't get any specific error.
Please guide me which document I have to follow to get Executable XDODTEXE.

We have an on-going (UAT) user acceptance test for a new setup EBS 11i on Aix 5L, for FINANCIAL MODULES(GL,AP,AR,CE,FA).
Currently, we still encountered error or bugs and need to apply some patch one by one.
What I want is a proactive way, which is a one time application of all the patches needed to run EBS 11i error free.
Where can I find the recommended list of all patches that should be applied on EBS 11i, and

I just Download Patch 3944888: EBS-OFO integration patch for PLM Family Pack 11.5.10 E. Unfortunately after unzip the file and read the readme file, i can't found the installation guide or instruction to install the patch. Does anybody know how to install this patch on EBS?

GumasYou need to apply the patch driver u3944888.drv using adpatch like any other patch.
Just make sure you apply all the patches under "Prerequisite Updates" before applying the patch.
You may also refer to these docs which are related to the patch you are applying.

Apply the Patch

I want to apply the Patch 13685884 in my OAS 10.1.2.3.0 but in the readme file says Product Version 10.1.2.3.1. I need to update my OAS from 10.1.2.3.*0* to 10.1.2.3.*1* ?

Hi,
i have 2 Ebs R12 12.0.5 environment.
i just apllied a patch #6116405 on one system and it was fine. the second system (second ebs R12)
seems like it was skipping 2 main components...and i do not know why.
Would someone please give me an advise.

There was a bug. even in readme file was asking for Opatch 1.0.0.0.52 and mine was 1.0.0.0.0.55
tech support had told me that i need to upgrade it at least 1.0.0.0.0.57 ans up.I had a suspect in opatch version from the beginning, but did not expect the version to be incorrect in the patch README file -- which I should NOT do next time :)
no wonder my other instance with version 1.0.0.0.0.57 works fine with this patch.
