  • Syntax error after applying NOTE 2028544

    Hello Experts,
    We implemented Fiori My Timesheet application and it was working fine except while saving the time data from Fiori we were getting short dump saying conversion error (found during debugging) as mentioned in below screenshot.
    To overcome this error we implemented SAP NOTE 2028544 in ECC using SNOTE but it was throwing an syntax error in a interface /IWBEP/IF_MGW_MED_ODATA_TYPES. While during version comparision we found out that the NOTE has removed a line from the program (Below screenshot) which is causing the error. Also we are currently in SAPK-20009INIWBEP version of IW_BEP.
    Can anyone please let us know what wrong we did and how to overcome this situation since we cannot revert back the changes because it is asking for access key to manually change the code and when we are trying to reset the NOTE implementation using SNOTE then we are getting syntax error in the above program?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Pankaj,
    While checking the NOTE 2032088 and the correction instructions, it was mentioned that the prerequisites is to apply NOTE 2028544 (The one in which we are facing error).
    But the main problem now is we applied the NOTE 2028544 but it caused a change in a program (mentioned earlier) and we activated it forcefully. Now when we are trying to open My Timesheet application it is giving error. When we try to reset this NOTE implementation then we cannot do because it is saying there is a syntax error in your program.
    We are now in deadlock situation where we cannot move forward or backward

  • Cannot apply note 955236 (to start EEWB on BUPA)

    Hello everybody,
    I want to estend the BUPA object via EEWB.
    I am trying to apply note 955236 to my CRM 5.0 system because, when I try to extend that object, I have the "BDT-DC is not ready for this object" error.
    As the note says, I go to transaction SM30, maintain table V_TBZ1_DC and try to set the "Active in DC" flag of BUPA.
    BUT I receive the "Do not change (SAP object)" error and cannot set the flag.
    Anybody knows why is that? What authorization do I need?
    Thank you very much
    Riccardo

    Hi Riccardo,
    "Do not change (SAP object)" is a warning or error. I think it should be just a warning message. And you should go ahead and make changes if it's just a warning message.
    I've set the flag correctly in my sytem and it works absolutely fine.
    Write back if you get an error.
    Thanks,
    Gyan.

  • Applying Notes - Can there be negative consequences to future support packa

    After applying notes is there a possiblilty that it could create a conflict with a future support package installation?  We are running ecc 5 0 with afs add on.  I am new to SAP so this might seem like a dumb question.  But any insight would be greatly appreciated.  I've read the pdf and seen the power point presentation now I need a little more help.  Thanks for any help.

    Hello Jose,
    There will be no conflicts as such that are not resolvable easily because after every support pack upgrade you will be doing post support pack age activities spau and spdd.Please vist the following link for more information:

  • Problem while applying notes

    friends,
         we are in the process of applying notes prescribed by SAP to reflect budget 2007-08..but when generating the view for j_1iqexcise, i get the following msg. "J_1IQEXCISE-MATNR is shortened to 0009'...where i have gone wrong? when i tried again to generate using table maintenance generator, it says "Function group J1I_TABLE_MAINT cannot be processed"...can anyone shed some light on this? thanks all
    cheers,
    Sathish. R

    hi
       the length is 18 only in the table...it says that matnr will become a rollable field of length of 9...am not able to generate the view now...as we have to go in a sequential manner in applying the set of notes, without finishing this, we can't proceed to the next...awaiting your inputs...

  • Applying note corrections

    Hi All,
    Can someone please tell me the correct way of applying note corrections associated with a particular note. I see differen kind of objects - meth, func etc. I know that you have to go to the particular code and then add & delete some code. which transactiosn to use? and what to do for different objects.
    Thanks in advance
    Cyrus

    Hello,
    no in Tr. SE24 you can manually changes classes. It is not recommended by SAP.
    Start Tr. SNOTE >> Click on Note-download (CTRL + F8) >> enter the note number -> Execute (download).
    New you can find this note in the list of new notes, or if note look for it with the Note-browser (CTRL + F9).
    Click on execute. The remaining steps will be self declaring.
    >> The correction instructions apply automatically. But you still need to follow the manual steps!.

  • Outlook 2013 - wrap text group policy applied, not working with or without digital signature

    Hello,
    I'm adding group policies to apply on our new installations of Windows 8.1 with Office 2013. One of the settings being applied is enforcing plain text emails and wrapping text at a certain number of characters. Policies are being added using the Outlook
    2013 admx.
    When I check the options inside Outlook 2013 the group policy did apply successfully (File, Options, Mail, scroll down to Message Format) The option to "Automatically wrap text at character:" is set to 132 and not adjustable as it should be.
    In the group policy I have it set to wrap at 132 characters, but when I go to a client machine and send a digitally signed email, it wraps at the default 76 characters. This makes for very annoying short blocky emails and multi-line hyperlinks.
    If I do not digitally sign the email then the text doesn't wrap at all! (until it meets the end of the window). So under no circumstances is it wrapping at 132 where it's supposed to.
    Thanks,
    -Nick

    Hi,
    What is your account type in Outlook? Exchange or others?
    Please also let me know the email format that you are sending, Plain Text, HTML or Rich Text Format.
    You can try sending the same emails in Outlook Safe Mode:
    Press Win + R and type “outlook.exe /safe” in the blank box, then press Enter.
    If there’s no problem in Safe Mode, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this issue.

  • ORACLE 11G  "real time apply" not work?????

    we have a database original on ORACLE 10.2.0.4 and we upgrade it to 11.1.0.7.
    after that we create standby database and tried to use "real time apply" feature.
    Primary database can transfer log files to standby database and standby database also can apply logs. The problem is it can NOT work on "real time apply".

    log_archive_dest_2='service=DBSBY valid_for=(online_logfiles,primary_role) db_unique_name=DBSBY LGWR ASYNC=20480 OPTIONAL REOPEN=15 NET_TIMEOUT=30'
    *.log_archive_format='DBPMY_%r_%t_%s.arc'
    log_archive_dest_state_1 = enable
    log_archive_dest_state_2 = enable

    There are a couple of things to look at.
    1. Real time apply requires standby redo logs on the standby database. On the standby database run this query:
    SELECT * FROM v$logfile where type = 'STANDBY';
    if you get 0 rows back you'll need to create standby logfiles
    The general guideline is to size them exactly like your redo logs but add one additional standby log to ensure it doesn't cause a bottleneck.
    2. Get the size of your logfiles:
    SELECT GROUP#, BYTES FROM V$LOG;
    3. For example if you have 3 redo logs that are 50 MB in size, create 4 standby redo logs 50 MB each and don't multiplex them.
    ALTER DATABASE ADD STANDBY LOGFILE ('/Archive/DBSBY/onlinelog/slog1.rdo') SIZE 50M;
    ALTER DATABASE ADD STANDBY LOGFILE ('/Archive/DBSBY/onlinelog/slog2.rdo') SIZE 50M;
    ALTER DATABASE ADD STANDBY LOGFILE ('/Archive/DBSBY/onlinelog/slog3.rdo') SIZE 50M;
    ALTER DATABASE ADD STANDBY LOGFILE ('/Archive/DBSBY/onlinelog/slog4.rdo') SIZE 50M;
    4. Cancel recovery on standby
    recover managed standby database cancel;
    5. Restart recovery using real time apply
    recover managed standby database using current logfile disconnect;
    6. To validate that real time is working you can check a few places.
    -It will say in the database alert log on standby that it's using real time apply
    OR
    -Check primary
    SELECT status, recovery_mode FROM v$archive_dest_status where dest_name = 'LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2';
    If the recovery_mode is "MANAGED REAL TIME APPLY" then real time apply is working, if it's anything else then we'll need to check more things.
    NOTE that if you are going to allow your current primary to switch roles and become a standby then you'll want to create standby redo logs on primary as well
    Sometimes recovery gets "stuck" and simply resetting the destination parameters can resolve it:
    alter system set log_archive_dest_2='service=DBSBY valid_for=(online_logfiles,primary_role) db_unique_name=DBSBY LGWR ASYNC=20480 OPTIONAL REOPEN=15 NET_TIMEOUT=30';
    There are some other things we can check next but let's start with the easiest fixes first.

    Forms 6.0 (Form Compiler) Version 6.0.8.27.0 (Production)
    You have applied Patch 4948577 (Developer 6i Patch 18).
    But in the ad_bugs and ad_applied_patches its not reflecting the patch number ?
    This is an expected behavior. Patch 4948577 is Developer 6i Patch 18, and it will not be listed in ad_bugs and ad_applied_patches (Remember you did not use adpatch to apply this patch).

  • Can we apply note AFTER patch has been applied?

    Hello
    We have installed a patch set into DEV which is being tested.  This patch set contains a note which we need urgently in QA.
    Are there any issues with applying the note individually?  It will need to go into DEV first - although it's already there - & then be applied to QA as a transport.
    We can only apply the patch set to QA when the full testing has been done.
    Thanks, Chris

    Hi Matt - Thanks for the reply.
    I think our problem is that we're quite a long way behind on our patches.  Which means that the note we need to apply has many dependencies - all of which I'd need to get into any transport we created on DEV.  I could do this but I'm worried I'm likely to miss something.
    So we're considering opening up QA & applying the note in there (using SNOTE).  It may be a stupid question but how do we open up QA?  We assumed it was a change to be made in SCC4 but this is client specific & we have 5 clients on our QA machine (as well as 000 etc).
    Thanks for your help.  Chris

  • Is seperate request numbers for all prerequisite & applied notes possible?

    Hi
    I understood that using SNOTE for Note execution, all of the changes done including those in the prerequisite notes are covered in one request number.
    The question is, is it possible (any options setting) to automatically generate different request number for each notes (prerequite notes) execution?

    Hi
    You can create a "Approved" notification to be sent out at the last stage of the path, and apply the custom messages to that notification per respective last stage/path.
    However, if you are planning to use the %PROVISIONING% or %PROVISIONING_WITHOUT_PASSWORD% variable within any of these custom notifications, it only seems to work in the notifications sent out at the end of the request/ AR Close set up in the Global section (screen 1 in MSMP).
    There is a note at the end of the SAP note that describes this limitation:
    Remark: Class CL_GRFN_MSMP_BADI_END_OF_PATH implements following logic:
    At end of each path of Access Request, workflow email will be sent to msmp agent GRAC_USER using template GRAC_AR_CLOSE
    Hope that helps.

  • Problem with 1009MISC after applying Note 1535966.

    I have applied OSS Note 1535966 which was released on 01/27/2011.  I also applied the corrections from Note 1305371 as well.  I have submitted a Test File to the IRS and have recieved the following errors.   I do not see any other notes that apply to the 2010 1099 Forms.  Thanks.
    #1 of 2
    1  'A' record(s) has an incorrect/invalid type of return and/or amount code(s) in positions 26-41.
         Record sequence number 2 is the first known record containing this error.
    #2 of 2
    36 'B' record(s) is coded for Combined Federal/State Filing Program; however, the type of return indicated in the 'A' record is not part of the program. Only 1099-DIV, 1099-G, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, 1099-OID, 1099-PATR, 1099-R and 5498 returns are part of the program. In addition to removing the '1' from the 'A' record, also remove any corresponding codes in the 'B' record(s) and remove the 'K' record(s).
    Record sequence number 3 is the first known record containing this error.
    I have checked our File Format and found that in Position 26 contains '1', positions 27 and 28 contains 'A7' and position 48 contains '1'.

    HI,
    please follow the below steps as per note 1540165 and Symptom no 2
    The amount codes in the A records do not have correct format. It

  • Problem applying note 941908

    I'm attempting to apply the above note but have come unstuck. The note has had to be applied manually because SNOTE failed and I have done it all with the exception of changes to two programs. These are SDRRREGD and SDRRREPD.
    For both I get this error:
    "Carry out modification comparison for REPS SDRRREPD first. No changes possible"
    Now I know this requires the use of SPAU. I've used it extensively and all connected entries are green or ticked yet I still cannot make changes.
    Am I missing something ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    go to https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/notes and enter the Oss note and chcel the pre-requesties.
    and also chcek the version compatibility.

    Via the corrections of the note, you will often be able to put the puzzle pieces together to be able to "test" whether it is corrected and how... The fact that there are sometimes follow-on notes to such program corrections is evidence of this. Some knowledge and creativity will be required for this.
    If you want to be carefull of side affects (or find the guilty ones...) then try where-used-list look-ups on the objects being corrected to see where and how they are being used. Not 100% reliable because of dynamic coding techniques, but a good indicator for auditable development work...
    Expressions such as "undesired source code" generally refer to remotely definable but internally executable source code, without appropriate checks in between.
    If you cannot test it yourself and SAP releases the note as a "Security Note", then these are generally implementable without SAP standard consequences. If something in the z-custom world is bothered by it, you can normally be sure that you already have the problem "in da house"...

  • Error when applying Note using SNOTE and Manually

    Hi Gurus,
    I get the following  message when i try to download a note using SNOTE
    Error: Format of correction Instructions 0120061532 1 0000771620 0002; unable to read corr.instruct
    I tried downloading the note to my local machine and then uploading it locally but got the same result.
    Any thoughts on how to procede?

    Hi ,
              Are you trying to download directly on to server? then you need to connect your server to SAP router and connected to Service market place. If you want to do it off line? get the note by Download manager and apply from Snote.
    Regards,
    Hari.
