Applying Patch 10.1.2.2 on 2 AS on the same machine
Hello,
I've installed the AS Infrastructure 10.1.2.0.2 . Next, I've updated the infrastructure database with patch 10.1.0.5, and applied the 10.1.2.2 Software Update.
Then I've installed the AS BI & Forms 10.1.2.0.2 on the same machine in a different Oracle Home. But fail to apply the 10.1.2.2 Software Update on the second AS. The Universal Installer considers that my second AS is already patched, witch it is not !!
Is there any problem with my installation ? Do I need to follow a specific way to install and patch the Infrastructure and the BI & Forms ?
Trie another 13" retina MBP. Same story.
Timeline is fine on my machine. Some missing files on another computer.

hi everyone.
here is the problem
we recently applied patch 5 for CM on EP 6.0 SP2
the portal platform is at patch 27.
after having applied the patch the logs indicated that the upgrade sequence completed successfully.
however after we restarted the portal and logged back in none of the KM repositories are accessible. it just says not found / is not accessible or is not available.
under system admin when we go into Content Management Configuration it says invalid Repository Managers.
i have reset the SAPWCM user password and check the connection pool settings but still nuthin.
i have checked the cm.properties and config_local.properties files. however i have no document to compare what the correct format of the entries in these files is. i know they are supposed to have identical entries.
can somebody help?

I had the same problems after patching CM. I had to re-enter the WCM password of the 3 CM Conenction Pools in the CM Configuration under "jdbc connection pools".

No you're not. The thread is about upgrading Java as a standalone software product - that is no problem at all. What you are dealing with is the wisdom of Oracle to make a Java runtime an integral component of their DBMS (based upon your "JDK within the database" comment). In that context you should not be seeing the JDK as a standalone thing; there is only the Oracle DBMS, that it has a JDK built in is besides the point. Any security vulnerabilities there are, they are in the DBMS. The only security patches there are to apply are for the DBMS. Perhaps those security patches will also apply fixes to the built in JDK, who knows. You'd have to ask Oracle that. -
[SOLVED] DWM - how do you apply patches with patch?
I'm totally new to dwm (it's working great by the way) and patching. I'm having problems understanding how to use the patch program. The basic usage on dwm site says basically:
patch -p1 < path/to/patch.diff
Great, now I have the patch file ~/builds/dwn/patch/dwm-5.9-statuscolors.diff and my altered ~/builds/dwn/config.h. Here's what I did

and it asks me for the filename it didn't find at line 4. Looking at the patch, I see it's a diff on config.def.h so I suppose this is the file to be patched and that I should supply this filename and the same with dwm.c? I'm not new to C coding but fresh out when it comes to diffing and patching, how do I actually go forward from here?

I managed to patch the files config.def.h and dwm.c in the source dir and noticed there is yet another config.h file there as well. Now, the in the top level dir with the PKGBUILD I also have a config.h, which is the one I do my config changes. I'm confused because I now have these three header files (2x config.h + config.def.h) which are supposed to have the same source code? I've read around on the net, but haven't gotten any further answers yet. What are the purpose of each config and how should I use/update/manage them when recompiling? This is my situation:

Applying the same effect or animation to multiple clips with one edit
I'm using FCE4.0.
I'd like to select three clips in the time line and apply the same sizing or Animation to all three clips. Is it possible to do that without going to each clip individually?
As an example, I have three clips with video that fills the screen. I want to reduce the video image to say 50% of the overall window. Do I need to resize each clip? Can't I just resize them all at once? Or apply an edit to them all at once that has the same animation?

I have problem with applying patch on ACS 5.3. In release notes there is mentioned following command format:

The problem is ACS 5.3 does't have this command syntax.
It does't have acs command.

I am trying to apply a weblogic patch on SOA server but facing an error while applying the Opatch . I checked the accessibilty to opatch inventory by using the command % opatch lsinventory . This executed fine and there were no errors. But when I try applying the opatch I get the error -that some jars missing . Even if I replace the jars and try executing opatch again I face the same error . I googled a lot but couldnt find any solution . Please let me what can be done for solving this error .

Hi,
I am trying to integrate oracle apps with Oracle EBS 12R and following Doc Id:376811.1 from metalink.
I have successfully installed patch 5983637, but when I try to install patch 4960210 on it, even though I stopped all the services on app server, i get the following error:
Certain files which need to be reinstalled by oracle universal installer are being used by one or more applications.
Please close any running applications before continuing.
NOTE: when I upgraded the existing OracleAS 10.1.2.0.2 Infrastructure to Oracle Identity Management 10g (10.1.4.0.1) I created a new oracle home and installed my components there (unknowingly), so not sure if this causing problem.
Not able to go further Please help..!!!!

Im upgrading from 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.1,
I have successfully applied the Apply AD 12.1.1 upgrade driver (required) -7461070 patch
but when i try to apply
Run the American English upgrade patch driver (required) 6678700
its giving the following error

Error While Applying patch ST-PI 2008_1_700 to solution Manager
Dear Techies,
Thanks alot for your fast response.
We are trying to upgrade Solution Manager Stack from
ST-PI 2005_1_700 to ST-PI 2008_1_700 ,
While applying patch it was suddenly stopped with an error
"Manual modification adjustment is neccessary"
While I tried to adjust it.
In Note correction tree. This the message with " green tick"
"0001293326 EWA: Newest ST-PI Is Rated 'Outdated'; Wrong RTCCTOOL Date"
and is not allowing me to proceed further.
How to go about.

As suggested by you, I executed "RTCCTOOL" programme.
It Has given that 4 notes were in red status.
They are.
1. [Note 69455 ] Addon upgrade ST-A/PI 01N_700SOL
Description "Servicetools for Applications Plug-In" for Solution Manager 4.0-7.10 (Addon delta upgrade package)
Implementation From http://service.sap.com/supporttools->ST-A/PI download the addon upgrade package ST-A/PI
01N_700SOL. Upload to tx SAINT (just as you would do for an installation) and install as per note 69455
Then restart report RTCCTOOL and choose 'List->Refresh from SAPNet'.
4. [Note 539977 ] ST-PI Support Packages
Description Addon supportpackage level 4 for ST-PI 2008_1_700 for 7.00 [patches up to level 4 for Basis tools for services]
Implementation Open http://service.sap.com/supporttools-> ST-PI 2008_1_700 ->Supportpk. Add patch SAPKITLRD4 (and predecessors if not yet implemented) to download basket. Release basket via Maintenance optimizer. Upload from frontend int transaction SPAM, define a queue and import the queue.
6. [Note 539977 ] Note 1312413 for ST-PI
Description Maintenance Certificates for SPAM/SAINT may get periodically overwritten by invalid ones on ST-PI
2008_1_7* SP 00. Prevent this proactively,even if you do not yet use the automatic maint. certificate
distribution.
Implementation We recommend that you implement the Supportpackage SP1 for ST-PI 2008_1* to solve the error. Only if
not possible implement note 1312413 with not version >=12 using SNOTE. Regarding automatic maint.
certificate distribution see http://service.sap.com/maintenancecertificate.
9. [Note 1293326 ] EWA serviceprep correct. in sequence.
Description Wrong alerts appear in EWAlert Service preparation section (Newest ST-PI Rated Outdated / Wrong
RTCCTOOL Date) if Solution Manager ST-SER < 701_2008_2 SP1 and satellites on ST-PI 2008_1* / ST-A/PI 01L*.
Implementation Implement the coding correction of this note 1293326 with SNOTE to solve the wrong service preparation alerts. Else if you do not mind the wrong alerts simply set this recommendation manually to green after reading.
