Applying patch (PSU) Hyperion 11.1.2.2.300 in Websphere
Hi guys,
I have Hyperion 11.1.2.2.0 running on Websphere and need apply the patchs to up version to 11.2.2.300.
I did download and checked the readme, said that I need do redeploy of all applications (CalcMgr, FR, Planning...).
This process of redeploy I need running the runWASDeployment.sh? Or only execute config-tool-manual.sh to reconfigure the applications?
If I execute runWASDeployment.sh, I need remove all profiles of Websphere and Applications, for after do all deployment using this script.

I applied the patch and executed the configtool-manual.sh but haven't the Redeploy option.
I found the Oracle documentation http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/epm-tips-issues-102-up-1612166.pdf on pag. 38, where said to do redeploy on Websphere Console, but I don't know where are the EAR files.
How I should to do redeploy in Websphere?

We want to get Windows 7 and IE 8 support for Finanical Reporting that what the patch is about.
Before applying the patch, we have

All running on a AIX 5.3 64-bit server.
We have followed the instructions to install BI+ Patch 9.3.1.3.20 and below are the steps
(1) Stop all FR Services + UI Services + Web server
(2) Replace the files, HReports.ear, HReports.jar, HRPrinting.exe, HyperionADMWidgets.jar
(3) Run Configuration Util (Deploy to Application Server + Configure Web Server)
(4) Redeploy $BIPLUS_HOME/InstallableApps/workspace.war
(5) Redeploy $BIPLUS_HOME/InstallableApps/HReports.ear
(6) Restart FR Services + UI Services + Web server
After applying the patch, I still can logon workspace. Under the Help menu, the version doesn't update.

When I try to open any FR report, I got the following error message.
"Required application module reporting.HRRunDlg is not configured. Please contact your administrator."

We too having similar issue on Financial Reporting after applying 9.3.1.3 patch on current version 9.3.1.0.0.248.
After applying the patch, we are able to test Shared Services, BI+ reports IR, WA after logging on to workspace successfully other than the FR Reports.
I verified under the Help menu for the version and they are as below :
Workspace Version:9.3.1.3.0.401
UI Version:9.3.1.3.0.401
Server Version: 9.3.1.0.0.248
When I try to open any FR report, I too getting the similar error message that you faced.
"Required application module reporting.HRRunDlg is not configured. Please contact your administrator."

"http://<server>/hr/xml/HRConfig.jsp?LOCALE_LANGUAGE=en Unable to process request."

I don't know why it would have coughed on the two files oraagent.bin and oracleacfs.ko, but Oracle Support and google seaches didn't come up with anything. I plan to manually try an opatch apply instead of the oaptch auto, but while I do so, does anybody have clues for correctly applying this PSU?To update this thread, I ended up speaking to Oracle Support on this. It turned out that one of the prerequisites in the README was the culprit:
2.1.4 Unzipping the PatchThe patch application requires explicit user actions to run 'opatch auto' command on each node of Oracle clusterware. So, it is recommended that you download and unzip the patch in a shared location to be able to access it from any node in the cluster and then as the Grid home owner execute the unzip command. To prevent installation failures, this location should be an empty directory.
Note:
Do not unzip the patch in the top level /tmp directory.
The unzipped patch location should have read permission for ORA_INSTALL group in order to patch Oracle homes owned by different owners. The ORA_INSTALL group is the primary group of the user who owns the GI home or the group owner of the Oracle central inventory.>
In my example, I had unzipped to /tmp. However, the resulting error message stack didn't really point that out.
When I double-checked the README and tried again from /home/oracle/patches/p13348650 instead, it worked. It doesn't leave me with a confident feeling, more just relief. On a related note (and the entire reason for me patching to 11.2.0.3.1), ACFS filesystems ARE supported now under Oracle 5 update 7 with the 2.6.32-200.13.1.el5uek kernel (you had to really dig through the matrix in 1369107.1). Had this not worked, I would had to fail back to the non-UEK kernel to achieve ACFS. -

Apply patch during oracle upgrade
Hi Folks
I`m upgrading 10G databases to 11.2.0.3. Right now we have installed the 11.2.0.3 software on the severs. We have downloaded PSU, which converts present 11.2.0.3.0 to 11.2.0.3.3.
Here`s my question.
The pre-requisite to apply this patch is that opatch version of db has to be in 11.2.0.3.
I checked my opatch version in some 10G databases, it is with 10.2.0.4.0. How can I apply new patch as my patch version is only 10.2.0.4.0.
New environment variables will be set to 11.2.0.3 during applying patch. But how to convert 10.2.0.4.0 patch to 11.2.0.3.0, so that I can apply my new patch.You will need to install the latest version of OPatch on the 11.2.0.3 OH, then apply the PSU - see MOS Doc referenced above

these are installed with OUI, the rest with opatch
also, since 11.2, Patch sets can be installed individually without the base release
Patch set update, for example: 11.2.0.3.3 - general fixes
Critical patch update: released in every 4 months (JAN-APR-JUL-OCT), contains security patches
The last two tend to come together in the same pack since a while.
One-off patch: patch for one specific bug
Interim patch: patch for specific bug for a specific customer (received through support service request)
of course they affect both software and database (majority of them)
to mention one exception, there is a one-off patch for 10.2 databases that issues the SSL certification problem for Enterprise Manager database console - actually this patch just updates some .jar files in $ORACLE_HOME and has no effect on the database -

I have problem with applying patch on ACS 5.3. In release notes there is mentioned following command format:
acs patch install patch-name.tar.gpg repository repository-name
The problem is ACS 5.3 does't have this command syntax.
It does't have acs command.
Here is what i have trued:

Error while applying patch for SOA suite 10.1.3.4 on Weblogic 9.2 - URGENT

I am trying to apply a weblogic patch on SOA server but facing an error while applying the Opatch . I checked the accessibilty to opatch inventory by using the command % opatch lsinventory . This executed fine and there were no errors. But when I try applying the opatch I get the error -that some jars missing . Even if I replace the jars and try executing opatch again I face the same error . I googled a lot but couldnt find any solution . Please let me what can be done for solving this error .

Hi,
I am trying to integrate oracle apps with Oracle EBS 12R and following Doc Id:376811.1 from metalink.
I have successfully installed patch 5983637, but when I try to install patch 4960210 on it, even though I stopped all the services on app server, i get the following error:
Certain files which need to be reinstalled by oracle universal installer are being used by one or more applications.
Please close any running applications before continuing.
NOTE: when I upgraded the existing OracleAS 10.1.2.0.2 Infrastructure to Oracle Identity Management 10g (10.1.4.0.1) I created a new oracle home and installed my components there (unknowingly), so not sure if this causing problem.

Oracle Home : /oracle/div4db/11.1.0which seems to be the oracle home of a 11.1 database. Did you set the oracle_home environment variable to the oracle home of your forms installation before invoking opatch?

SQL Statement ignoredA workaround is to precede the column name ('INVENTORY_ITEM_ID') with the table name so that the column reference is unambiguous. Please note that this is only a workaround to fix the issue if you cannot afford waiting to hear back from Oracle support with a proper solution. -

Error While Applying patch ST-PI 2008_1_700 to solution Manager

Thanks alot for your fast response.
We are trying to upgrade Solution Manager Stack from
ST-PI 2005_1_700 to ST-PI 2008_1_700 ,
While applying patch it was suddenly stopped with an error
"Manual modification adjustment is neccessary"
While I tried to adjust it.
In Note correction tree. This the message with " green tick"
"0001293326 EWA: Newest ST-PI Is Rated 'Outdated'; Wrong RTCCTOOL Date"
and is not allowing me to proceed further.
How to go about.

As suggested by you, I executed "RTCCTOOL" programme.
It Has given that 4 notes were in red status.
They are.
1. [Note 69455 ] Addon upgrade ST-A/PI 01N_700SOL
Description "Servicetools for Applications Plug-In" for Solution Manager 4.0-7.10 (Addon delta upgrade package)
Implementation From http://service.sap.com/supporttools->ST-A/PI download the addon upgrade package ST-A/PI
01N_700SOL. Upload to tx SAINT (just as you would do for an installation) and install as per note 69455
Then restart report RTCCTOOL and choose 'List->Refresh from SAPNet'.
4. [Note 539977 ] ST-PI Support Packages
Description Addon supportpackage level 4 for ST-PI 2008_1_700 for 7.00 [patches up to level 4 for Basis tools for services]
Implementation Open http://service.sap.com/supporttools-> ST-PI 2008_1_700 ->Supportpk. Add patch SAPKITLRD4 (and predecessors if not yet implemented) to download basket. Release basket via Maintenance optimizer. Upload from frontend int transaction SPAM, define a queue and import the queue.
6. [Note 539977 ] Note 1312413 for ST-PI
Description Maintenance Certificates for SPAM/SAINT may get periodically overwritten by invalid ones on ST-PI
2008_1_7* SP 00. Prevent this proactively,even if you do not yet use the automatic maint. certificate
distribution.
Implementation We recommend that you implement the Supportpackage SP1 for ST-PI 2008_1* to solve the error. Only if
not possible implement note 1312413 with not version >=12 using SNOTE. Regarding automatic maint.
certificate distribution see http://service.sap.com/maintenancecertificate.
9. [Note 1293326 ] EWA serviceprep correct. in sequence.
Description Wrong alerts appear in EWAlert Service preparation section (Newest ST-PI Rated Outdated / Wrong
RTCCTOOL Date) if Solution Manager ST-SER < 701_2008_2 SP1 and satellites on ST-PI 2008_1* / ST-A/PI 01L*.
Implementation Implement the coding correction of this note 1293326 with SNOTE to solve the wrong service preparation alerts. Else if you do not mind the wrong alerts simply set this recommendation manually to green after reading.
These are in green status
