Applying style sheets to Jato

Is there an example of this somewhere or some documentation? I'm using Jato
1.2.
Also, in the emails that fly back and forth I have seen a date sample
mentioned.
Where is this? I have got the JatoSamples.war deployed and I don't see a date
example. I just wonder if I'm missing some other Jato examples.
Thanks.
Belinda

There is some confusion here. The JatoSample project that shipped with the
Developer CD does not include the Components samples (which includes the Date
example). The "live" sample that is viewable on the intenal web site
http://ias.red.iplanet.com/jato/ does include the Component samples.
We intentionally disabled the Component samples in the Developer CD version
because at the time that it shipped we had an unresolved issue with running the
Component samples on certain servlet containers. That issue has been favorably
resolved.
The downloadable version of Jato 1.2 should contain a version of the JatoSample
which does have the Component sample enabled.

Belinda,
Sorry for the delay. JATO is now available on http://developer.iplanet.com
and the JATO Sample WAR file is available separately for download - so make
sure you have this latest example. The sample is available LIVE on internal
sites which I will send you offline. We are working to have this and other
samples running live on the public web site shortly.
For the Date component example please check out the Components section in
the Index of the running application and the following in the WAR file
WEB-INF/classes/jatosample/module1/E0130Viewbean.java
WEB-INF/jatoSample.tld
WEB-INF/classes/jatosample/components
Could you please elaborate on your requirements for style sheets. Other
than using style sheets normally as you would with JSPs, what are you trying
to do? We would like to be focused in our answers.

  • How to apply style sheet (.css) in Weblogic directory listing

    Hi,
    We are migrating a directory listing application from Apache to Weblogic.
    Earlier we did this by Apache httpd.conf entry like below :
    <Directory "/opt/apache/httpd-2.1.9/htdocs/Myreportfolder">
    IndexOptions FancyIndexing FoldersFirst NameWidth=* XHTML
    IndexOrderDefault Descending Date
    IndexStyleSheet "/css/style.css"
    </Directory>
    /opt/apache/httpd-2.1.9/htdocs folder has all it's usual resource files.
    We were able to see documents in "Myreportfolder".
    Now we have moved to Weblogic and using virtual directory mapping as below and we are trying to achieve the same thing:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <wls:weblogic-web-app xmlns:wls="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-web-app" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-web-app http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-web-app/1.0/weblogic-web-app.xsd">
    - <wls:container-descriptor>
    <wls:index-directory-enabled>true</wls:index-directory-enabled>
    <wls:index-directory-sort-by>LAST_MODIFIED</wls:index-directory-sort-by>
    </wls:container-descriptor>
    - <wls:virtual-directory-mapping>
    <wls:local-path>/Myreportfolder</wls:local-path>
    <wls:url-pattern>/*</wls:url-pattern>
    </wls:virtual-directory-mapping>
    <wls:context-root>/getreports</wls:context-root>
    </wls:weblogic-web-app>
    We are able to view the reports but we do not get look-and-feel of Apache like directory listing.
    but we encounter below issues:
    1) File/Folder icons are not visible - we want to use style sheets in http header from the response that is returned from weblogic server
    2) Filename is limited to 29 characters when it is showing
    3) Files are not sortable as Descending order - we sorted using tag <wls:index-directory-sort-by>LAST_MODIFIED</wls:index-directory-sort-by> but the latest file is shown at the last
    We are thinking that Weblogic must be having some configuration like Apache httpd.conf where we can apply style sheets (css ).
    We would appreciate af anyone can provide better insight into the issue.
    or is it possible to extend weblogic.servlet.fileservlet class to serve this purpose.
    Thanks & regards,
    Rabi

  • Applying Style Sheets to all Project Topics

    Currently I have topics that use different style sheets (there are 5 listed, although I only created one).
    I want all topics to use the same style sheet.
    Is there any way to apply a Style to all Project Topics?

    Welcome to the forum.
    Go to the topic list and select all topics, then right click and select Properties. You can assign the new CSS there. Any style names in your topics not included in the new CSS will of course be broken and need to be assigned to whatever style you choose.

  • How to apply Style Sheets to all ComboBoxItems.

    Here in the following code i have referred to stylesheet for each data item. Help me how I can set a stylesheet for all comboboxitems only one time.
    <ComboBox
                Foreground="Black"
                BorderBrush="Black"
                HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="108,280,0,0" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="200" Style="{StaticResource ComboBoxStyl}">
                <ComboBoxItem Content="One" IsSelected="True" Style="{StaticResource ComboBoxItemStyle1}"/>
                <ComboBoxItem Content="Two" Style="{StaticResource ComboBoxItemStyle1}"/>
                <ComboBoxItem Content="Three" Style="{StaticResource ComboBoxItemStyle1}"/>
                <ComboBoxItem Content="Four" Style="{StaticResource ComboBoxItemStyle1}"/>
                <ComboBoxItem Content="Five" Style="{StaticResource ComboBoxItemStyle1}"/>
            </ComboBox>

    Hi MohanrajKrishnamoorthy,
    I will recommend you create the ComboBox like the following:
    <ComboBox
    Foreground="Black"
    BorderBrush="Black"
    HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="108,280,0,0" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="200">
    <ComboBox.ItemTemplate>
    <DataTemplate>
    //Add style or control in here
    </DataTemplate>
    </ComboBox.ItemTemplate>
    <!--<ComboBoxItem Content="One" IsSelected="True" Style="{StaticResource ComboBoxItemStyle1}"/>
    <ComboBoxItem Content="Two" Style="{StaticResource ComboBoxItemStyle1}"/>
    <ComboBoxItem Content="Three" Style="{StaticResource ComboBoxItemStyle1}"/>
    <ComboBoxItem Content="Four" Style="{StaticResource ComboBoxItemStyle1}"/>
    <ComboBoxItem Content="Five" Style="{StaticResource ComboBoxItemStyle1}"/>-->
    </ComboBox>
    After that all the ComboBox item will use the same style as you define in the DataTemplate.

  • Loop Page Style Sheet to set file name.

    I am exporting pages to jpgs and pngs using a script that pulls the name from an applied style sheet.
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5913479#5913479
    the above works perfectly if I only want to specify one style sheet as the file name.
    the challenge may need to use different style sheets on each page to create the name.
    I am not sure how to loop through each page and grab the style in play.
    or if I need to loop at all.
    This is where I am...
    function MakePNGfile()
         for(var myCounter = 0; myCounter < myDoc.pages.length; myCounter++)
              if (myDoc.pages.item(myCounter).appliedSection.name != "")
                   myDoc.pages.item(myCounter).appliedSection.name = "";
          var myStyle1 = "sheetlabel-text";
          var myStyle2 = "sheetlabel-text-2";
          var myParagraphs = myDoc.pages.item(0).textFrames.item(0).parentStory.paragraphs;
              var myPageName = myDoc.pages.item(myCounter).name;
          var myPNGPrefix = "";
         for( i = 0; i < myParagraphs.length; i++)
             var paragraph = myParagraphs.item(i);
    if (paragraph = myStyle1)
        (myPNGPrefix = getParagraphContent(myDoc.paragraphStyles.item("sheetlabel-text"),  myDoc.pages.item(myCounter))+ '-0' + myPageName)
    else
        (myPNGPrefix = getParagraphContent(myDoc.paragraphStyles.item("sheetlabel-text-2"),  myDoc.pages.item(myCounter))+ '-0' + myPageName)
    Thanks for your help!

    Good to hear .
    Find attached the next version. You can now insert in 'paraStyleNames' as many style names as you want. The script will check from left to right, if there is one found on the page. If this is true, the script will ignore the other styles.
    Removing leading zero should work now.
    Maybe one problem: If one page contains no style, this page will be exported nevertheless with it’s correct page number, but with the founded text of the previous page. If this can never happen, we are done and you should mark the answer as correct. If this is a real problem for you, please let me know, what should happen in this case and I will try to fix that too.

  • Creating Style Sheets for Existing Text

    Can I get some advice on what would be the easiest way to create and apply style sheets to a document that was layed out w/o any? My Art Director layed out a dozen pages of actual type w/o any style sheets. It's a pretty basic layout with Headers, Sub-heads and body copy. There are no "space afters" applied to any of the hard paragraph breaks after sub heads, and nothing has style sheets applied to it. All text has Basic Paragraph applied. I know how to create style sheets based on what he created, but then how would I apply to the rest of the pages w/o having to physically format it all? Thanks for any help with this.

    SIcsempertyrannis schrieb:
    Your flippant response to my question was to send my Art Director for basic computer training. How exactly is that polite or helpful? And if you know the difference between a hard and soft return then why did you ask if I meant shift+return when I clearly stated there were no space-afters applied to any hard paragraph breaks?
    Your initial response was laden with typos and sarcasm, as is your second. If you dont want to be bashed then practice what you preach. Again, and for the last time, if you dont have an answer to a question you should refrain from posting.
    No "space after" does not mean that it is shift-return! The space is depending on the settings of the Paragraph (Style) in Intends and Spacing. And sorry, a lot of people here mean with the same words different things.
    And yes, send your Art Director to a training, because when smeone uses shift-return instead of properly paragraphs he has not enough knowledge to do word processing.
    Thanks for the typos you have found. But you can keep them and all others you will find here. And no, I had no sarcasm.
    I decide myself if I refrain from posting, it is not your job.

  • InDesign and style sheets

    Hello there,
    I'm new to InDesign and have searched the Help menu but couldn't find the info I wanted. Can anyone tell me if there is an option to apply style sheets in InDesign when doing a brochure layout as there is in Quark. It's a great time saver.
    Thanks,

    Rey,
    When the keyboard shortcut is grayed out it means that another paragraph or character style has been assigned that keyboard shortcut AFTER you assigned it initially. Either assign a new keyboard shortcut or find the one that is not grayed out and reassign a new keyboard shortcut or remove the shortcut altogether. Hope this helps.

  • LocalDirector & IE 6 Frameset/Style Sheet problems?

    We are using the LD 417 to load balance across Sun webservers running Oracle Apache. We have just seen a problem where IE 6.x, accessed through the LDs, will not apply style sheets in Framesets, unless the page is refreshed, either by the user or programmatically. This does NOT happen to Netscape 7.x through the LDs or to IE 6.x when accessing the webservers directly.
    Has anyone seen a problem similar to this and, if so, is there something in the LD to mitigate this problem?

    I have also seen some issues with IE 6.0 with regard to the sticky cookies. It worked fine with IE 5.0
    In your case have you tried IE5.0 and checking if it works. It usually is a browser issue.

  • Style sheet changing when applied to text within a table

    Hi everyone,
    I'm using ID CS2.
    I've defined a paragraph style sheet with the regular weight of a certain typeface, however when I apply this style to text within a table, the typeface changes to the bold version of the font even though the regular version is specified in the style.
    Does anyone know if this is a known issue with styles being applied to tables or is it a sign of a corrupt file or something? Is there a fix?
    Thanks

    Is there a character style applied to the table or text in the table. I had many issues with this over-riding my paragraph style.

  • (none) style gets applied to numbered list & font size not matching text in my style sheet

    RoboHelp 9 (9.0.2.271)
    Something is wrong with my style sheet, and it only started happening after I created Master Page for the first time. This happens whether or not the new Master Page is applied to a topic:  Every time I type any text in a topic, then click the Numbered List icon in the toolbar, the style goes from Normal to (none), and the font changes from my style sheet's Normal 10pt to 8pt, for the number as well as the text.
    I don't see how the new Master Page has anything to do with it because it's not applied to this particular topic.  I had created a Master Page in RoboHelp HTML and applied my style sheet, then my topics to it. I have a footer in the Master Page and applied 8pt font using inline formatting (not the style sheet).
    I created a new project to see what would happen.
    When I apply my style sheet, then apply the numbered list to text, the text font is correct (10pt), but the number font is wrong (8pt).
    But when I apply the default style sheet to the topic, the number font and text font match.
    How can I get the number and text fonts to match in my style sheet?
    I found a workaround by applying inline formatting to the next (10pt) after selecting the text and clicking the numbered list icon.  Below is the html code.  The numbered steps in red are the ones that are not correct (8 pt).  The code with the correct formatting (after I applied inline formatting) is in blue.
    <body>
    <h1>My Overview</h1>
    <p>example</p>
    <ol type="1">
    <li>first step</li>
    <li>second step</li>
    </ol>
    <ol type="1">
    <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Fixed by applying inline formatting to
      10pt after selecting the numbered list icon</li>
    <li style="font-size: 10pt;">next step</li>
    </ol>
    <p>&#160;</p>
    <?rh-placeholder type="footer" ?>
    </body>
    Thanks.

    Amebr,
    That was helpful.  I'm looking at a topic now, and both the Apply Style list on the Formatting toolbar show (none) when I click a numbered list that I created using the Created a Numbered List or Create a Bulleted List on the toolbar.
    This is the html code for the correct font (10pt):
    <ol>
    <li class="p">this is the (none) style when I use the numbering button
      on the toolbar (which is inline formatting)</li>
    <li class="p">this is the (none) style when I use the numbering button
      on the toolbar&#160;(which is inline formatting)</li>
    <li class="p">this is the (none) style when I use the numbering button
      on the toolbar&#160;(which is inline formatting)</li>
    </ol>
    Both styles list show the correct custom styles I created for numbered lists, though.  Below is the code (correct font):
    <ol>
    <li class="p-ProcedureSteps"><p class="ProcedureSteps">this is from
      my custom numbered style and looks correct</p></li>
    </ol>
    What's strange is, if I create a list and highlight it, then click the Apply Numbered List button in the toolbar, the numbers and text font size changes to 8 point and my Normal font is 10 pt, and both style lists show (none).  That's what I wanted to figure out in my original post.  I opened up the stylesheet and I don't see where that's applied.  In Flare, you can easily see in a table how the styles are formatted, down to each class.
    This is the code for the incorrect font (8pt):
    <ol type="1">
    <li>why is this 8pt?</li>
    <li>why is this 8pt?</li>
    <li>why is this 8pt?</li>
    </ol>
    Below is a screenshot.
    Maybe someone can figure this out. Thanks!

  • Import Word to RH8 - can't select Style sheet to apply

    When importing a Word file to RH8 the new dialogue box series needs me to apply my style sheet on the 2nd screen...but even though Help says that a list will be provided, it is greyed out and I can't chose/add one:
    This causes all the numbers and bullets to be corrupted.  How do I get my style sheet to be available?  Thank you!

    No it doesn't, that's why it's greyed out. Click the Edit button to get at the settings you need.

  • Applying different style sheets

    I'm not sure if this is possible, but I would like to apply
    different style sheets to different outputs.
    For example: (Both outputs use the same data)
    Output to PDF = Style Sheet 1
    Output to WebHelp = Style Sheet 2
    Is there an easy way to do this?

    It would be lovely to select a style sheet as you are
    generating the output, wouldn't it? As far as I can see, however,
    style sheets are assigned per topic thru a reference RH sticks in
    the HTML header.
    Which leaves you two options:
    1) The simple but tedious way: In the Topics list (on the
    right), select all the topics. Right-click and pick Properties.
    When the Properties window opens, choose the stylesheet you want on
    the Appearance tab. Click OK. You would need to do this each time
    you switch from generating WebHelp to generating PDF.
    2) The complex but cool if it works way: I don't use the PDF
    plug-in - do you still generate PDF from the Printed Documentation
    layout? If so, can you use the StyleMapping.dot template? (I seem
    to remember that the PDF goes through a Word stage behind the
    scenes.) You can open StyleMapping.dot in Word (be sure to use File
    > Open so you get the .dot) and change the styles into what is
    effectively a new style sheet. It may take some tweaking - I still
    can't get my bulleted styles to come out quite right - but it's
    great for global changes.

  • Style sheets are getting applied even though am not referring them.

    Hello,
    I have uploaded 2 custom style sheets under "km/docs/etc/wpceditor/css/runtime". I am referencing only one stylesheet in my jsp layout. The web pages are using both custom style sheets in the runtime. How can I make the layout use only one custom style sheet that I am referencing in the JSP.

    Hi Vishal,
    Can you be more specific when you said
    "But if some styles does not match in that specified css Then it will refer the other css present at runtime folder."
    In my case,am using 3 custom style sheets(File1.css, File2.css, File3.css). At run time, all my pages are using all 3 style sheets, even though, I have referenced only one stylesheet in the JSP layout:
    <LINK REL="stylesheet" HREF="irj/go/km/docs/etc/wpceditor/css/runtime/File1.css" />
    Thanks for your response.
