Appointments have suddenly started disappearing from my Calendar

Appointments have suddenly started disappearing from my calendar - some before my very eyes and some minutes/hours later.  Think it might be the ones bluetoothed to iphone by apple wireless keyboard.  Any explanation/suggestions please?!

Ha!  Solved my own problem.  Appointments bluetoothed into phone when phone is using WiFi disappear, whereas appointments bluetoothed when phone using 3G do not! Maybe everyone knows this but I would like to know why (if there is anyone out there) please .....

    The same thing is happening to me.  I am sitting here and I put a "test" appt in my Iphone...great it showed up on my tablet and desktop.  I did the same thing from my tablet and then my phone.  Great they all shared then all of a sudden within 3 minutes they all start disappearing.  Even from the calendar on icloud.com.  Where are they going.  I just paid for more space but if this is what is going to keep happening I'll be writing to get my money back real quick.

      1. Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
      2. Restart the computer.
      3. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
      4. Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple
          logo appears.
      5. Wait for installer to finish loading.

  • Outlook appointments disappear from iphone calendar

    I have a reoccurring problem with appointments that are set in Outlook that will appear immediately on my iPhone calendar, but when I check back later sometimes the event has been deleted from my iPhone calendar but not from my Outlook calendar.  It's driving me mad.  Some of the times it does this is when I send an invite through outlook for an event to another user.  The event will appear on my iPhone calendar but once the other person accepts my event invitation it will disappear from my iPhone calendar, but remain on my Outlook calendar.  It doesn't do this everytime, but seems to be when I notice this happening the most. 
    On my phone settings I have the outlook calendar set as my default calendar.  My iPhone is also synched with two gmail accounts a Hotmail and an icloud account.  The only calendars I actually use however are my Outlook and the the iPhone calendar.
    Any ideas?

    One of the things I always suggest our users do in a situation like this is check the cache file on the Outlook desktop client.  It has an *.ost extension.  I've found it can get out of date and affect the calendar on mobile devices.  You can turn off caching in Outlook, then delete the cache file, then turn caching on and let it be rebuilt.  Microsoft also has a number of calendaring "best practices" its important to implement.

    We've struggled with issues like this for a while.  The steps above are good for a starting point.  In addition, you want to minimize the number of delegates, the number of instances of clients running against the Exchange mailbox, and accept all appointment notifications.  If any one notification is deleted, Outlook, in the past, anyway, has deleted the appt. from the calendar even if all other recipients accepted their notification.  Hopefully you receive the notification on your device and accept it.

    Recently I have found that some appointments (but not all) that I've put in my iPhone 4s calendar as recently as two weeks ago have disappeared.  I have an iPad, they had disappeared from that as well and weren't on iCloud.  When I went to my iCloud account and re- entered them there they reappeared in the iPhone and iPad, so I know that they are both syncing with iCloud.  But why did they disappear in the first place, why did other appointments not disappear, and how can I prevent this happening again?

    I had the same problem, and tried setting the Calenders "sync"to All events", it seems to work.
    Ipad/Iphone > Settings > Mail,Contacts,Calenders > Scroll down to CALENDARS > Sync > ALL EVENTS

  • What has caused an app I purchased (Family Tree Maker for Mac) and currently have installed, to disappear from the Mac Store. Does this mean it is no longer sold?  If so, how will I get update notices or re-download if needed?

    I purchased and installed Family Tree Maker for Mac from the App Store about 6 months ago.  I heard that possibly a new version was coming, though I had not received any update notice.  I went to the App Store and it no longer shows the app, either as available for purchase or as an app I have previously purchased.  So I can't get any information on the app, support, etc..  How can an app I have purchased disappear from the purchased list???  How can I get update information or support links? (contacted FTM website and phone support and they said if I bought my program from App store, I have to get update information there).....the Update Info button in my program is actually greyed out!!  So the program I bought doesn't even have the normal update link!!  I thought one of the advantages of App Store purchase was being able to redownload the program in the unlikely event it was lost....ie: no need to worry about having the install CD.  So now I only have my installed, operating copy and no way to reinstall if it crashes due to corrupt data, etc.!!  Not a happy result from an App Store purchase!  And I must say the circular references in the support link are frustarting...apparently there is NO live support for the App Store itself!

    Thanks for THAT tip: iTunes acct. history DOES show my (few) Mac app purchases, buried in with my MANY iPhone and iPad apps!  So I CAN prove I bought it (7 months ago, not 6), but you wouldn't know it from the App Store app on my Mac!  But that does leave a few other ?'s hanging: like how could I download it again, or check for updates (as I said, the version installed has the "update" button greyed out!  Ancestry.com (who sells it online and support it for other buyers said update info for App Store purchasers comes through the App Store. 
    I may just be out of luck with this because after 7 months of ownership, they (Ancestry) just replaced FTM with a new version (Family Tree Maker for Mac2) that is NOT an upgrade (though prior owners get $4.00 off on a $52.00 purchase!!).  I'll probably just plump for that....direct from Ancestry.com...and give up on the Mac App Store, because the new version reportedly has major enhancements in sync-ing your family history record between your computer and the cloud program available online.  Genealogy software, like everything else is migrating to the cloud, but one really does need a resident program on their device because you're often collecting data "in the field" in libraries, historical archives, cemeteries, etc. where you really can't get online in many cases.  Fortunately, more and more of the source data is coming online, so more and more can be done from home!

  • My email response messages have suddenly started coming in to my husband's account

    Within the last week, I have noticed that when I send email messages using Mail, the responses I receive are directed to my husband's e-mail address.  I'm using Mountain Lion OS X and the Mac Mail program and my ISP is Sky.  I have both mail accounts set up correctly (and working fine since beginning of September) using IMAP.  I cannot see how to change the 'mailto:' instruction that get sent out with all my messages.  I've checked my account settings and my correct e-mail address is shown and when I compose a message using my account - to all intents and purposes it looks like it's going to go out using my email address, but when the message is received at the other end, the name is mine but the e-mail address is not.  Can someone please help with this, it's really irritating and I don't know why it's just suddenly started happening.

    I checked the link you gave and this is for POP mail and I'm not sure that it's relevant.  What I have now found - which I think is causing the problem - is that the SMTP server that has both our accounts 'in use for' is my husband's - but I don't know how to change it.   When I click on the Edit SMTP server list, it brings up a dialogue box which shows the following:
    Description               Server Name                    In Use by Account
    Sky                          smtp.tools.sky.com          Donna's Mail, John's Mail
    Sky                          smtp.tools.sky.com         
    The first one lists my husband's details and authentical, user name, password etc.  The second one lists my details.  This is why I assume that my e-mails are being sent out with his email address on them.  I just don't know how to change the 'In Use by Account' column.  I can't edit this.  I've tried deleting my section and reinstating but this doesn't work.
    Any further ideas?  Any help gratefully received!

  • Unable to cancel meeting: disappeared from originating calendar, but still appears to invitees.

    I manage my boss' calendar (Boss) and have recently taken over calendar duties from someone else (let's call him Former).
    I need to cancel a series of recurring meetings with several attendees + a booked resource (meeting room).
    When I tried to, I got an error message saying that I could not cancel because the meeting room was booked from Former's account. 
    (The invites are listed as originating from Boss, but the attached resource booking appears as originating from Former).
    I pressed OK, and now the meeting is deleted from Boss' calendar (the originating calendar), but still appears to all the invitees still intact (not
    marked as cancelled).
    So my real problem is: How can I cancel the series of recurring meetings if there is no master in the originating calendar?
    There is no record in my sent messages because it was originally created Former.
    I can not go into everyone else's account to delete; it is literally hundreds of invitees.
    Please please help.  I've tried so many resources with no success.

    Please follow Willard's suggestion to use Former account to cancel the meeting to have a try.
    Also check the delegation permission for you to Boss's calendar. Generally, if you have Editor or higher permission to Boss's Calendar, you could cancel the meeting and send cancellation directly to all attendees though the meeting item was created
    by other users in Boss's calendar.

  • I have had $10 disappear from $20-40 balances in a...

    I also have  credits appearantly stolen.
    3-4 times I have had $10 dissapear from $20-50 balances in an instant, sometimes after a "Free" to  another skype user or during none used times.
    I also will never have more than a few dollars on my account  going forward and will not use  automatice refills.
    Trying to call someone at skype accounting was an exercise in  frustration.
    I like the service and we use it in business  to include Russia but I am exploring other systems that may provide better account protection.   I still want a record of my calls but have not figured out how to get them.

    I have a hotmail account and a virgin media email account on my ipad. The hotmail account is the prime one. Suddenly noticed that my emails on the hotmail account were disappearing. Can't find where they have gone. Have had no problem with the virginmediat emails. Any auggestions how to remedy this or where the emails might have been moved to?

    Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.

  • Shared calendars are working, but have suddenly started prompting for login info of user who shared the calendar

    My boss started having this problem this morning. It may possibly be due to an update. The calendars appear to still be working fine (not 100% sure they're
    getting new updates) and I've tried deleting them and re-adding them and the problem persists. Outlook will pop up the Security prompt asking for login credentials, with the username of the person whose calendar is shared pre-filled in the user name section.
    If you click cancel everything continues to work but it prompts you again in a few minutes. 
    These calendars have previously worked perfectly with no issues.

    Please confirm if there is any changes in Shared calendar account and your boss mailbox.
    Since the issue occurs after the update in your Boss's computer, please reboot the local machine. And recreate the Outlook profile to have a try. About opening shared calendar in new profile, please open the shared calendar by the following steps:
    1. Switch to Calendar pane.
    2. Click Open Calendar > Open Shared Calendar.
    3. Click Name to select the user who shared the calendar to this user.
    4. Then click OK to open the Calendar.
    Check whether there is any error when open it. If there is any permission error, please check the folder permission in shared user side.

  • Why have all last years events disappeared from my calendar

    I Use tha calendar all the time on my iPad but when I have gone back to before Dec 2012 most of the entries I had in there have gone, birthdays are still there and most Tuesday events that are constant through the year but the rest have vanished. 

    If you sync to a computer, hook your iPad up and open iTunes.
    Then navigate to the info tab and scroll down. You'll see a little box under the calendar stating how far back you want your calendar data sync'd. You can choose how many days - up to 999 i believe.
    The iPad will then keep data as far back as you select.
    The options are there to help you manage the 'other' part of your device. More history you keep, more space you'll use up.
