Appraisal Template Appraiser and Appraisee Name Format

I am using the Text Replacement BAdi 'Name of Appraiser and Appraisee'. This BAdi uses the variable &1 for Appraiser and &2 for Appraisee. My issue is the format it displays Last Name, First Name. Within IMG under Personel Data there is a Name Format that creates format options. The option to change the name format for specific programs I am assuming would be where I could change the format to be First Name Last Name format. My question is what would be the program name for Performance Management within the portal? That is where I would like to change the format is in my portal. Thanks.

Hi Nandy,
As I understood you would appraisal items come from position requirements. If this is the case and If you go in standard way by adding requirements to your position you can use "Fixed enhancement" in "Dynamic Settings" section. The name of BADI is "HRHAP00_ENHANCE_FIX" otherwise you should develop your own code and use it through "Free enhancement"

Hi Kanya,
The reason which some students are displayed in different appraisal template tab and some of them are displayed in appraisals tab is the modification of appraisal template. I mean, you have changed something in appraisal template "001" for example you added a new appraisal type to the appraisal template or dropped an appraisal type from that. The students booked the module with an older template, you see the students on different appraisal template tab, and the others booked with the actual appraisal template, you see them in appraisal tab.
When you click two times on the appraisal type in the different appraisal template, below there is opened the appraisal types and you can give grade for each appraisal type.

Web Template: Show full user name

I want to show the full name of the current user rather than just the logon id. SYUSER as a text element gives me the id but not the name.
Another alternative is to turn on the user name option in the Role Menu (we are using that on this particular template) but I don't want the "back button" to be shown next to the user name as it has a target of "_Top" and therefore jumps out of the frameset I am using.

Technical Link b/w Employee and Appraisal Template

Hi,
Can anybody please help me in finding the technical link b/w an Employee and an Appraisal Template? In other words, I need to know the table name(s) in which data is stored while appraisal processed is going on. I can view the appraisal form in IT0024 and IT0025 in PA. I can also see the objects VA, VB & VC in PP01, but where are these entries stored in the table.
We are on SAP R/3 4.7 (Enterprise) and using new Objective Setting and Appraisal Component.

Hi there,
Function module 'HRHAP_DOCUMENT_GET_LIST' can be used for this purpose.
In order to find the objects you want, make sure you set the appraisal templates for calling this function as well as all of the other required parameters. If you need help for the other parameters then let me know.
The fields for the template table import parameter need to be set as follows:
plvar = Active plan version
otype = VA or VB or VC
objid = appraisal template id
This returns two tables - the appraisals and the associated documents.
Other tables you may be interested in are :
HRHAP_T
HRHAP
HRHAP_APPER
HRHAP_APPEE

Transport Category and Appraisal Template

I am trying to transport category and Appraisal Template Transport:
1) Right clicked on Category, select transport and clicked enter, it gave me the following error:
Object "R3TR" "TABL" "T77HAP_C_OTHER" is an automatically generated object and cannot be transported. All tables beginning with "M_" belong to matchcodes and can only be accessed with these

I cannot place the error message, but...
go to transaction "oohap_category" and select the category you want to transport, then go in the menu and select transport. That should work.

Appraisal workflow: How to insert Appraiser & Appraisee names in emails

Hi out there,
I am working on an apprisal process which include workflows. The workflows each contain a task which hold the text (Task description) for a workitem / email, which is sent out to managers as a notification.
Example:
When a manager has approved an appraisal document for an employee, manager's manager will receive an email which should say something like: "Jill Dove (Appraiser name) has submitted a document for Tom Dove (Appraisee name), for your approval. To approve or reject the document, use the following link to...."
My question is: Is it possible to insert some kind of command in the workitem / email text (Task description) which will then automaticalliy insert the correct Appraiser & Appraisee names? If yes, how is it done?
Until now we have used the expression: &_WORKITEM.WORKITEMFATHER.CREATEDBYUSER.NAME& were Appraiser or Appraisee name was equal to the workitem father - forexample the manager (Appraiser) name, but then I still need to insert the employee name (Appriasee).

Objective Settings and Appraisal Template

I just completed most of the configurations and testing in sandbox (we have real data there) for this project.
Now I need to replicate the same in DEV and move to Quality( Client specific) for testing and then prod.
Since there is structure of template, statuses, substatuses ............. each time I will be prompted for a transport request. Should I use one transport to include all changes or I understand that you can right click on the template structure and move to different landscapes?
Please help on this and anyhting per your experience, I should know before starting in DEV.

Hi,
Normally you just maintain everything in your development system and in the end you put it on a transport. For that just go to the template and right-mouse it. There is a write to transport entry there.
Do not forget to transport the category as well! and if you made changes to the category group those need to go as well. They can be put on a transport via context menu as well.

I have a appraisal template which is giving me 3 blank KRA's as standard one when template document is created from tcode PHAP_PREPARE_PA .
for appraiser and appraisee template.
but i want to add KRA's to the template during the creation of the template document
from tcode PHAP_PREPARE_PA based on the KRA's maintained for his position in a z table????

Uploading of Appraisal Template

How can i create & upload .XSC file(file format of Appraisal template) which is used in PHAP_CATALOG.Because if im trying to upload Appraisal template in any other format like excel or word its showing run time error.

Hi,
you can create the template in phap_catalog. After that you can fo to phap_prepare. With that tcode you create forms based on the template. That means a form is an instance of the template with appraiser and appraisee. Now you can go to phap_admin select the template you crated before in the dropdown box and you will get a list with appraisal forms. Please mark one form and select the edit button. Now you will see the form.
With webdynpro component HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT you can display the form in the browser.

Appraisal Template+Overall Ranking

I am creating an Appraisal Template in ECC-6.00. My Appraisal Template format is
1. The syllabus was intersting
1- strongly agree
2-Disagree
3-Neutral
4-Agree
5-Strongly Agree
Now after these all when I am trying to release my appraisal template I am getting following error
1."Status "in process" or substatus "part appraisal in process" are not assigned to category
2.Appraisal template can never be closed
Second we were working on BS appraisal template so for that there is a customized reprt for overall ranking now in OSA which table is storing overall ranking which I need to modify in my customized programme.
Please help me out my golive date is near....award point is confirm...please

To your configuration. It is independant of your structure. It seems you did not setup your category correctly. Statusses are missing in the category configuration which you try to use in the template below. The second point. You don't have a status change that puts the document from status x to the 'completed' status.
I would suggest to create an example category and underneed that an example template. Then you can see how you could configure both.
Your last point I did not understand. If you can explain it to me I will try to answer that one as well.

Appraisal template - Columns

Hi all,
I am trying to analyze the appraisal template.
The columns which are defined in template show up in the document.
we have columns for final appraisal, start date, end date and obviously they are visible in the document.
Question is what happens to the column OBJECTIVE SETTING. How is it displayed!
May be this is an elementary question but your views would help me understanding template config. even better.

Hi,
The objective setting column is a special column, like weighting it had its own behavior. If just selected it will show as element name. But if you tick the box "Free Input" under objective setting then the element name will be replaced with an input field on teh appraisal document where you can give your own text (= a new objective) in.

As per your question, I understand that HTML output is getting generated through a R3- Bapi call. Fine, create a model with the data binding to the context to some text view. Simply create view with the relevant UI element through which you want to exhibit the data and call the R3 call through your model. instead of a HTML output, you will get your data in the view.
you may not get the exact format / style of the html output.
Otherwise, directly HTML content cannot be shown in webdynpro. You need to have some UI control to take its content.
Or else, you can go in for j2ee stack and end up with a java based appl, use a simple jsp and get the output!
