Appraisal Template error

Hi Gurus,
Can somebody tell me how to update the Appraisal Template which is in 'use' in HR Professional V4.0 Responsibility.
I need to include questionaire template to used template.. whenever i update the template it's gives me an error
'You may not update a template which is currently is use."

Appraisal template error - A maximum of 18 columns are allowed

Dear Friends We are implementing flexible PMS solution on EHP4 platform. We have defined many customer specific columns. Now, we want to add more than 18 columns in our appraisal template but system is showing error if we try to include more than 18 columns. We have already tried to rationalise element (VB-VC) structure to reduce no of columns but still we need to have more than 18 columns in our template. Does SAP provides any BADI or NOTE to resolve this issue. Or whether we can tackle this issue at a technical solution level. Pl. advise.

You can customize this in the CATS IMG data entry profiles - it could be the data entry profile
includes more than 65 columns
Unfortunately due to performance reasons 40 is the maxium number of columns allowed
- a modification would likely be required to allow more - you would also need to test performance and
load (whether the WD application could pass all the columns or values)

OSA - ERROR while downloading \ uploading appraisal template

Hello!
May be some of you came across the same problem: when appraisal template using object Q as reference object for VB or VC is being uploading into the other client it is copied with error. The relationship 607 between objects is not ceated in the other client, so the object is not correct. Is it a standard solution

I am inclined to think that lack of relationship 607 between objects VB and Q while uploading appraisal template into other client is due to a programm error but we failed to find relativa SAP Note, may be someone came across the problem?

EhP4 Flexible Appraisal template HTML errors

We are reviewing the new Web Dynpro Flexible Appriasal interface in EhP4. When we create a new appraisal from our current appraisal template, the html tags for each criteria (Description - Web Layout) are displayed along with the text on the new WD UI. There is also an error message under each criteria description. If we remove the html and just use the standard Description, the form displays correctly.
Is there a way/setting to make the WD UI in EhP4 display html?

for the tags supported though it is not as rich as HTML.
Also, please implement SAP Note 1354044 if you are not in NW7.01 SP5.

Appraisal template standard buttons not working via ESS/MSS

Hi experts,
The error which I am facing in appraisal template is as follows
When I click on any button on appraisal template no action takes place.
Kindly let me know how can I resolve this error.
we are using BSP application HAP_DOCUMENT.
according to me page fragment 'document_buttons.htm' (Method CONVERT_BUTTON_TO_UI) contains the code for button creation and button handling
the page fragment 'document_buttons.htm' is getting triggered when page is initialized but it is not triggering when button is clicked.
Additional info that might be useful to resolve the issue:
1) While viewing appraisal template's web layout in t-code PHAP_CATALOG_PA.
I am facing following script error.
This error reappears when I click on any standard button For eg SAVE
2) We are currently using IE 8
3) We recently upgraded ECC system from ECC 6.0 to ECC 6.0 / EHP 6 (ECC 6.6)
4) I checked SICF and corresponding services are active

Design2008 service is inactive in my system.when activated temporarily I was not able to see previous page (Blank page was displayed) in my appraisal application.
For BSP application HAP_document, i checked SICF->default host->SAP->BC->BSP->SAP->HAP_document.This service is active.
The image which I have attached with my question is appraisal template's web layout in t-code PHAP_CATALOG_PA.

Problem in getting appraisal template

Hi All,
I am facing a problem in template configuration.
The appraisal template created in PHAP_CATALOG_PA is released but it is not getting created when i use transaction APPCREATE.It gives an error saying "NO APPRAISAL MODEL DEFINED IN THE SYSTEM.
I checked in spro but couldn't get any breakthrough.
So please suggest me the steps which i need to carry out in configuration.

How to restrict maximum 5 part appraisers in the Appraisal template

Dear All
Our requirement is to allow maximum 5 part appraisers in the Appraisal template. Currently the System is calculating & restricting to only 2 part appraisers (as the total columns used is 16).
Even on using the BADI - Maximum Number of Part Appraisers (HRHAP00_MAX_P_APPER), we are not able to attach more than 2 part appraisers as the defaulted value is overriding the BADI value. This is because as per BADI - Maximum Number of Part Appraisers (HRHAP00_MAX_P_APPER) : The calculated number of part appraisers must always be greater than the desired number of part appraisers. If this is not the case, the system outputs an error message and resets the desired value.
Also the link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_rc10/helpdata/en/ae/ec6f01d143e141992f22fcf31a7aaa/content.htm says - "In the case of an approval process for a 360° degree feedback, you do not need to restrict the number of part appraisers. In all other part appraisal processes, the system restricts the maximum number of part appraisers". But even in 360° degree template, on selecting 16 columns the system is calculating & defaulting 2 part appraisers.
Kindly advice how to restrict the no. of part appraisers to 5 when the system is calculating only 2 part appraisers as we are using 16 columns in the Appraisal template.

Transport Category and Appraisal Template

I am trying to transport category and Appraisal Template Transport:
1) Right clicked on Category, select transport and clicked enter, it gave me the following error:
Object "R3TR" "TABL" "T77HAP_C_OTHER" is an automatically generated object and cannot be transported. All tables beginning with "M_" belong to matchcodes and can only be accessed with these

I cannot place the error message, but...
go to transaction "oohap_category" and select the category you want to transport, then go in the menu and select transport. That should work.

Adding a new substatus in Appraisal template

Hi All
I am trying to add a new substatus in phap_catalog_pa. The status has been defined in oohap_basic , but while checking the same in phap_catalog_pa , it throws the error , " Status cannot be deleted ". I am able to view the substatus but unable to select the check box.
Please let me know how can i add a new status in the existing template.

your appraisal template is in released status or not released status.
if it is in released status this error will come, you have to do un-release and then add new sub-status.

I am creating an Appraisal Template in ECC-6.00. My Appraisal Template format is
1. The syllabus was intersting
1- strongly agree
2-Disagree
3-Neutral
4-Agree
5-Strongly Agree
Now after these all when I am trying to release my appraisal template I am getting following error
1."Status "in process" or substatus "part appraisal in process" are not assigned to category
2.Appraisal template can never be closed
Second we were working on BS appraisal template so for that there is a customized reprt for overall ranking now in OSA which table is storing overall ranking which I need to modify in my customized programme.
Please help me out my golive date is near....award point is confirm...please

To your configuration. It is independant of your structure. It seems you did not setup your category correctly. Statusses are missing in the category configuration which you try to use in the template below. The second point. You don't have a status change that puts the document from status x to the 'completed' status.
I would suggest to create an example category and underneed that an example template. Then you can see how you could configure both.
Your last point I did not understand. If you can explain it to me I will try to answer that one as well.

Performance manaegment - Appraisal Template

Dear all,
I have created the Appraisal template under OSA and i have configured the predefined time lines for PMP as well. but unfortunately the appraisal tabs or their objectives are not showing in the PMP process to the manager from portal...
Secondly do i have to configure the predefined template to be used at each client.
any hints?

I have two clinet one is normal client for configuration and the other is where portal is connected.
I have Created the OSA template and i have liked it with PMP ID as well.
ow I am going to: "Define Tabs and Process Configuration for Template" and i use the same template as well.
After this I am configuring Define Tabs and Process Configuration for Template
Define Templates for Performance Management = on end configuration ig gives an error
What has happened?
The URL -http://xxx.xxx.xxx:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hap_a_tm_conf- was not called due to an error.
Note
The following error text was processed in the system KDV : Exception text is : Category 00000001 (category group 00000006) does not exist
and when i go to time line configuration of the process it gives me the following erors
An unexpected technical error has occurred..
I am able to excuate all three above mentioned nodes as normal on Golden clinet but when i come to integration client client it gives the error.
Any input will be higly appreciated.

Performance appraisal template

Dear All,
I have implement performance appraisal in ESS portal . Every thing is working fine. But there is a tab "Display Qualification" in the appraisal template which is showing error related to https
" The server does not support HTTPS. it is therefore potentially unsafe to send your password."
& it is asking for user id & password for backend system when i enter user name & passowrd , it is showing the same error.
Plz suggest what i have to do.

Moving Appraisal Template to QA

Hi Guys
I understand that we can move Appraisal Template by download/upload method or by right clicking on the Appraisal Template to create transport and move this transport to QA and so on.
For Category group and category, we can do manual configurations in each system or use OOHAP_CATEGORY Tcode and create transport by selecting Transport option in the menu bar.
For basic settings we can use the regular transport.
I followed download and upload to transport Appraisal Template, works fine.
For Category group and category, I did manual configurations in each system, works fine.
For basic settings I used the regular/customizing transport, work fine too.
Before using download/upload method, I tried using transport method to move Appraisal Template by right clicking on it, transport request box came up and I created transport and have Basis move it to QA. Basis came back transport failure message due to the following error code:
No activation of relationship to object VH 60000200 in pl. version 60000200 (cl.100)
Errors occurred during post handling RH_ACTIVATE_PDOBJECT_AFTER_IMP for PDST_LSO T
The errors affect the following components
BC-BMT-OM (Organizational Management)
Using Transport method for Appraisal Template should have been the best in my case because we have a custom print program and custom table created to map the sections of appraisal template required for printing. By download/upload method the Appraisal Template VA/VB/VC Ids changed so I had to go back to this custom table for each system to map these changes. Since this method failed for me, I had to use download/upload approach.
Did anyone come across similar challenges? Please share.
Is this the reason download/upload method is suggested?

The template settings that are new to EHP4, cannot yet be transported in an automatic way. The process is stored in 'VH' objects.
In order to transport the whole template with all EHP4 settings, you need to do the following steps:
1) Transport the core template using 'PHAP_CATALOG'.
2) Transport the process configuration using report 'RHMOVE30' (see attachment 'transport VH.doc').
3) Transport the tab configuration using note '1428054'.
If you have any other issue with tranpsorting PD objects please refer to note 1475428 Transport appraisal Basic settings

Appraisal Template - Issue with New Column addition.

We have added one column u201CPriority %u201D which replaced an existing field (column) in one of the appraisal templates.
When the user selects a value from the drop down and saves the template, it is not getting reflected in the portal. Also the same isnu2019t getting updated in the backend DB tables (as seen from PHAP_ADMIN_PA). Upon displaying the template, the first available value in the drop down is shown by default instead of the selected value.
As per our understanding the entire field values are read from standard function Module u2018HRHAP_DOCUMENT_CHANGE_STATUSu2019 into corresponding internal table t_body_elements.
But the value (Row X Column) for that particular column is not seen in the structure.
Please give inputs as to why the changed % value is not being saved and shown in the template.
The column is maintained in the template like the other columns and the value range is also maintained in the u2018Edit Appraisal Scalesu2019 in SPRO.

Thanks for you reply. Still the same issue. Following are the config I did till now:
In the PCD I created a new business object (SWF_WIOBN), an operation linked to the object (NAVIGATE).
I did create an iView (powl) in the custom folder, I integrated the operation within iView. I created a page that contains the iView.
In the properties of the iView I gave:
Application Name: HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT.
Launch in New Window: "Display in separate Headerless Portal Window".
System: SAP_ECC_HumanResources
I added the required entries in tables:
IBO_C_WF_TTAS
IBO_C_WF_ACS
IBO_V_WF_TAC
IBO_V_WF_TTAC
etc...
I saw in the code of linked feeder class: CL_IBO_INBOX_FEEDER_WI that it's checking something called "Launch_Editor".. Is it a property that we can set somewhere?
Following are the parameters retrieved by system:
BO_NAME = SWF_WIOBN
BO_OP_NAME = NAVIGATE
LAUNCHER_PARAMETERS -> empty.??
BO_RESOLVE_MODE = USER_SET_OF_ROLES
LAUNCH_EDITOR empty where must be set?
At the end I still get the error:
There is no iView available for system "": object "SWF_WIOBN". For more information, contact your administrator.
