Reports.root_y = 0

Then start OC4J Instance, and type in from browser as http://localhost:8888/reports/testreport.jsp?userid=username/password@dbconnection. However, it doesn't work for 10g. Is there any different in deploy report for 10g? Please help....
    Thanks,
    Best Regards,

    Andy,
It's impossible to help us if you doesn't specify what error messages you get?
If I should take a guess, you're using the wrong port number. Did you check if it's correct before posting your message? Most Developer Suite 10g installations comes with port number 8889.

  • Integrate Forms and Reports for Developer Suite 10g

    Hi all,
One of my client is moving to Developer Suite 10g R2. Currently he is using Version 6i. I've converted the forms into 10g. Only one problem being faced by me is Reports. Our form which used
to call the reports was using Run_Product. Now, I've changed the functionality to Run_Report_Object. The problem is i need to create a report node in the form for every report. I've 200 reports. If there is any
way, where i can add the report node in the form module dynamically, this will reduce my work to a greater extent.
    Regards,
    Alok Dubey

    hello,
It is quite easy to add a report node using the JDAPI.
    1) Put all the forms in a directory.
    2) Find the JDAPI example in the online help.
    3) Modify it in order to have the functionality: add report item
    4) IF you are certain there are no report nodes already attached, you don't need to loop through your form module in order to check for existing report nodes.
If you are not tempted to write your own routine, you can use francois degrelle'S own JDAPI batch process.

  • Cannot download Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.0) from OTN

    Hi, everybody!
On page http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ids/index.html first link "Windows" points to download page for Application Server 10.1.2, not Developer Suite 10.1.2.
Where I can find download page for Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.0) for Windows?
    With best wishes,
    Igor Shulgin

For as far as I know Developer Suite 10.1.2 is not available yet. The latest 10g release is version 9.0.4.
The current Application Server does not include Forms/Reports. Application Server with Forms/Reports will be released soon, and that will include a 10.x release of Developer Suite I assume

  • Download Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) for Microsoft Windows

    Hi
I unable to download Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) for Microsoft Windows from the OTN website. The download starts from here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ids/htdocs/101202winsoft.html
There are two files. The second file; ds_windows_x86_101202_disk2.zip downloads fine. The first file; ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1.zip stops at 46Mb with the message "connection reset by server".
When downloading using getright as suggested on the FAQ the connection has to resume at 46Mb. Using segmented downloading in getright I have been able to download 636.92MB of the 640MB file. The getright download window shows connected; waiting for reply but I am unable to get the last few Meg.
Any ideas how to complete the download? Has anyone else completed it successfully?
    Thanks
    Tom

I guess, it is a problem with your network.
Yesterday I have downloaded both the files and installed successfully. The first file took around 20 minutes and secod file took nearly 10 minutes to download.
Are you using office network? You can try downloading at home with DSL.

  • Installing Developer Suite 10g for Windows

As part of a prototype test for upgrading to 10g we have installed Oracle 9i database onto a Windows XP PC and are now trying to install the developer suite 10g.
The ORACLE_HOME directory for the DB is D:\Oracle\ora92.
The Oracle Uinversal Installer defaults to this directory for Oracle Home when we try to install the 10g software, but we then get the following error:
    Dependencies
Oracle Developer SUite 10g cannot be installed into an existing Oracle 9i 9.2.0.1.0 or higher Oracle Home.
    Could you advise please.

Yes, and got the message - install has encountered an error while attempting to verify your virtual memory settings....
We have changed the paging size for the D: drive where we were trying to load to - and it has loaded OK now thanks.

  • Installation of developer suit 10g on windows 7 64-bit

    Dear all,
I have successfully installed oracle 10g and developer suit 10g in my lappy which runs on windows 7 64-bit, I am able to launch form builder, create a new form and compile it. But when I runs the form the the internet explorer 8 crashes.
    Please help

I am guessing that you are fairly new to the Oracle Forms product as you are not understanding the difference between the environment where a "form" is developed and the area where it can/will be run in a supported manner. Let me try to start from the beginning....
    1. The Forms Builder 10.1.2 is NOT_ supported to be installed on Windows 7. I can technically be accomplished but is considered NOT supported by Oracle. So unless you have a good working knowledge of the Developer Suite product and the Win7 operating system and don't care about getting technical support from Oracle, I do not recommend attemting to install on Win7. If you choose to install on Win7, you are on your own even if you have a Support agreement. Supported platforms include Windows 2000, Win-XP, Vista (see note 559067.1), Solaris, Linux
If you feel like you need to have the Builder installed in an UNSUPPORTED environment, you can probably follow the instructions provided for installing on Vista as they will likely work for Win7. If you have access to My Oracle Support, take a look at this document: How to Install Developer Suite 10.1.2.3 on Windows Vista (Doc ID 559067.1)
Supported Operating Systems and other installation information can be found in the Installation Guide:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25016_08/doc/dl/core/B16012_04/chap2.htm#i1007814
The only exception to the above is that we now support installing on Vista when following the note mentioned above.
    2. You can "run" your form after it has been designed and compiled, on a Windows 7 machine. The form will run in a browser, using a JRE/JPI.

  • Installing Developer Suite 10g R2 on Windows Vista failed !!

It seems Oracle has a new challenge of producing a new edition of Developer Suite that will install on Windows newest falvour, Vista. I installed Oracle db 11g on my Vista O.S. and everything runs normally. But my Developer Suite 10g R2 failed to launch setup.exe, giving me the following error:
    Checking installer requirements...
Checking operating system version: must be 5.0, 5.1 or 5.2. Actual 6.0
    Failed <<<<
Exiting Oracle Universal Installer, log for this session can be found at C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory\logs\installActions2007-11-16_06-40-54PM.log
    Please press Enter to exit...
Any idea to solve the problem? Or it's all that I have to wait Oracle for an 11g Developer Suite version that is supported by Vista??!
    Thanks!

Either your tnsnames.ora file that Forms is using is not set up properly to connect to your database, or else you need to install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter.
I have set up laptops with a Loopback Adapter, so Forms will connect regardless of the Windows computer name. If the computer name is included in the tnsnames entry for your on-board database, then you probably don't need it.
When you installed the 11g database, the installation set up a tnsnames.ora file with an entry for that database. First, try copying the entry into the corresponding tnsnames.ora file used by Forms.
In my system, I have four distinct tnsnames.ora files, each one is a duplicate of the others. Whenever I need to change an entry, I do it in one of them, then do a Save As three times to replace the other three. I use these comment lines at the top of the file to help me:
#--  For reference, save as: C:\oracle\tnsnames___ref.ora
    #--  For Forms6i,   save as: C:\oracle\orant\NET80\admin\tnsnames.ora
    #--  For Forms10,   save as: C:\oracle\DevSuiteHome_1\network\admin\tnsnames.ora
#--  For SQL Plus10,save as: C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\network\admin\tnsnames.oraWithin the laptop running withOUT the loopback adapter, this is the entry for the on-board Oracle 10 database:
    #--  Laptop           Could use:  (HOST = Steve-PC) / 127.0.0.1
    ORCL =          (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)
                                      (HOST = 127.0.0.1)
                                      (PORT = 1521))
      (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = orcl)  )  )Note the replacement of the HOST entry from the Windows computer name with the generic IP address for the local platform.

  • Problems installing Oracle Developer Suite 10g in windows 7

    Hi Experts;
I have installed Oracle Developer Suite 10g in windows XP, but now I change to windows 7, 64 bits, I was trying to install this product and I'm having a lot of problems, apparently this product is not compatible with windows 7.
My question is, is there any product, like Oracle Developer Suite 10g for windows 7? I was looking for in the Oracle page, and  I couldn't see anything, may be the name is diferent.
    Thanks for your help.
    Al

First off, Oracle Developer Suite (ODS) 10g is no longer supported so Oracle has discontinued improving the product.  While ODS is not certified by Oracle for use on Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit), you can install and use on Windows 7 (32/64 bit).  This is a commonly asked question so a search of the forum would have given you several solutions.
The limitations of the Oracle installer are:
    1.  You must have Administrator rights to install.
    2.  Windows 7 is not a supported version (it's version 6 and it is looking for version 5), so the installer exits.
    3.  It's unable to recognize Windows Managed virtual memory.
To get around these limitations you must do the following:
    1.  Modify your Virtual Memory settings and define a specific Min and Max amount.   Look at this MS article if you need help making this change: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/change-the-size-of-virtual-memory
    2.  You must run the Oracle installer in compatibility mode for Windows XP.  To do this,
      - Right-click on the setup.exe and select the Compatibility tab and click "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP SP2"
    3.  While still in the properties and the compatibility tab, select the option, "Run as Administrator" and click OK.
Now run the Oracle setup.exe and your installation should succeed.
