Approval from the Notification Mailer.

Dear All,
We have enabled the workflow mailer in our environment (11.5.10.2) in Solaris OS
Now for the PO Approval, there is a limit and if above the limit, it should send a notification to the immediate supervisor, a mail.
This mail is going with a template attached to it (in text mode, no links available)
How can the supervisor approve for the same..?

The 1st issue was, I was getting the notifications in plain text.
The reason is that for my user record in the WF_LOCAL_ROLES table, has the NOTIFICATION_PREFERENCE been set as MAILTEXT
I had used the metalink document 451929.1 for updating the value to MAILHTML
After doing a commit, did a test, then the workflow mailer sent a mail of HTML format with links enabled in it.
After wards the approve action when sent back, through the mailer, is approving the Purchase Order...

E-Mailed PO Notifications from the Notification Mailer rejected by Vendor

Greetings All! We have an issue where some of our vendors have spam filters that are rejecting the E-Mailed POs coming from the PO approval WF process. We are currently on R12 and wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what was done to get around the issue. The notification mailer is sending the messages out but our internal Unix domain (where the EBS resides) is buried in the e-mail header and the Vendor's spam filter rejects the message as it believes the mail is spam.
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I've checked those notes and they do not apply. The Notification Mailer itself is working properly and is sending e-mails to the vendors. The problem is that the R12 Java SMTP program doesn't allow us the control we had with the concurrent program in 11i. In 11i we could include Sendmail line commands in the wfmail.cfg file that allowed us to spoof the "From" address so that it appeared the mail came from our external corporate domain. In R12, we don't have access to that since the Java notiifcation mailer uses basic SMTP and the "From" parameter just changes the human-friendly name for the e-mail withoug changing the actual from address. As such the mail headers for the e-mails have our internal unix domain which isn;t valid outside of our firewall. We have done some work with a Unix alias that solves the problem for a couple of the vendors but there are still vendors rejecting our e-mails if they come from the Unix box.The bounce messagess provided to me by our network team clearly show that it is a spam filter rejection due to an invalid domain. I'm looking to see if any other companies have hot this problem and what they may have done to get around it.

Hi Hafizoo,
The notification mailer needs to be configured for both outbound and inbound emails.
I believe that the configuration for inbound emails is not correctly done.
If you do under OAM, Workflow > Service Components > Workflow Notification Mailer, you will see two setup sections for "Inbound EMail Account" and "Outbound EMail Account". Also at the top of the page you have a "Test Mailer" button which first sends a notification which allows to test the outbound mail and when you reply to the mail, the notification status and comments should get updated through the inbound mail.
If you are not able to complete the "Test Mailer" flow, it means you have to see with your DBA to correctly setup inbound messages.
Before trying to troubleshoot the PO Approval workflow, ensure that the "Test Mailer" works properly.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
While you are able to reply to messages and emails from the Notification Center, you are not able to delete email via the Notification Center. If you want to delete your email it will have to either be done via Mail, or the Banner notification that pops up when the email arrives.

How to add a new field to the notification mail

So there is only the document number, document type and last changed by information in the notification mail. How can we add the description of the document?
We have checked the related container and could not find the description of the document.

Hello Emre,
the mail is generated by report RSWUWFMLEC. You have to modify this report to change the mail text.
An easier way might be to change the subject of the mail which is generated from the workflow task. You can enter the description of the GOA in the workitem text of you active workflow (WS14000088, task TS14007969?).

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Creation of a refurbishment order from the notification is not supported

Hello All,
I would like to know whether we can create Refurbishment Order directly from Refurbish. Request Notification.
Currently when trying to do that I'm getting error message saying that 'Creation of a refurbishment order from the notification is not supported'.
SAP doesn't support that kind of scenario or I'm missing some configuration?

Thanks for your answer but I would like to get some more clarification.
What I would like to do is create Refurbishment Order from the notification directly by clicking create button which seats just next to order field or from the menu Notification -> Create -> Direct.
I'm getting pop up window where Order Type is filled in automatically because of the config I made. Then I just fill in Main Work Center field and hit continue. Afterwards message 'Creation of a refurbishment order from the notification is not supported' appears.
Can you confirm that above described scenario is not supported by SAP.

How to send mails in HTML format from the send mail step of workflow?

Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to send mails in the html format from the send mail step of the workflows.
But what I found out that the html tags are not renderd and as such the output is in plain text.
I know that there is an alternative of using an activity step and use my own custom code from within there,But due to certain business constraints, I need to use the send mail step only.
My SCOT settings are all right.
Please let me know how it can be done.

We have a requirement wherein we need to send the concurrent program output file as an attachment while sending the notification mail to the user.
Currently we have tried the approach wherein we are specifying the user id in the OPTIONS tab (Notifying the following people) while submitting the concurrent program.
But using this approach, the user gets only the URL of the output file in the notification mail and not the output file as an attachment.
Kindly let us know if anyone has incorporated the logic to send the output file as attachment in the notification mail.

Aipad air 7.1.2 won't open some attachments on the mail app. Sometimes when hit the "download full attachment" long messages even simply disappear from the e-mail

Some e- mail attachments won't open on my iPad Air w/ 7.1.2., some does. There is this sort of link on the bottom of the e-mails that says "download full attachment " and when pressed sometimes the attachment opens but sometimes it simply disappear from the e-mail. I couldn't identify the problem neither solve it. Could somebody help me please

Are you viewing it in Artist view or Album view? In Album view, it should still list albums by artist name, then album name. If you're in Album view, you might be looking for Artist view.

Deletion of Measuring points from the Notification

Hi
I have created a notication and attched manully some measuring point. (Extras-->Measuing document, New Entries and added the measuing points). I want to delete the measuring points from the notification. It displayes the msg "1 MeasDocs cannot be deleted as they already exist in the database"
Note:The measuring points are not attached to the tech object.
Please let me know how can we delete this MP's or what alternative i need to follow.

For using archiving programme take help of basis help see firstly create programme on archiving object
PM_IMRG whcih is the object for measuring document then by ebtering this prepare the archving file run in test mode
then deletion of data with date wise reading in test mode follwed afterwards.
you have to confirm the data before the deletion

Company name determined from the e-mail id???

I read from the following blog that the company names are determined from the e-mail ids given in the business card.

Wouldnt it be better to get it from the URL of the company mentioned in the business card? What happens if i use my personal e-mail id for receiving my SDN mails?

In that case their points are not applied to their company whole and when the new changes come out they would not be listed as part of that company.
There are other possibilities we are looking into but any that provide for user input has the inherient problem that someone is going to type if different that you are,

Opps now we have another problem.
Email is not easier:

Those all work too.
The way we are doing it now is still riddled with the problems that people use their "local" email instead of the global company one or even worse they have no global company one and only local ones so for the company with 120 people spread across 4 countries they all show up under 4 different companies.
So for now if you use a yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc. you don't get listed and when the changes come out you won't show up under your company name as being part of the contribution of that company.
My question out to all of you is why do you not use your company mail address? You can also set a mail agent to forward your mail to your private account when you go home in the evening.
